Although some small places could be cleaner, overall there is a sense of life, suitable for people who want to experience traditional Japanese houses as well as people who blend into the local area, the light in the afternoon is beautiful, also for people who are used to steel cement houses may have a little adaptation to sound insulation and light (the sun comes out the whole room will light up), if staying here, can stay a little more time to experience the atmosphere inside the house

Nice older Japanese home that has plenty of space. My husband brought his bike and ミッチ—さん was so helpful, even preparing a stand and some tools upon our request. He was super responsive and great with communication. The home is older so keep that in mind but it was a great place to relax and sleep for the night on our travels.

I had a great one-week stay and can highly recommend this place. Very good and convenient location. Well-equipped house offers everything you need for a peaceful long-term stay. Tim is very helpful and communication is smooth and easy. I was lucky to join Tim for a boat trip and on another day we visited his peaceful forest. Spending time with Tim helped me understand much more about life in Japan. Thank you Tim for everything. :)

Chris had laid out our beddings before we arrived and gave all the instructions. He was always responsive and super helpful. Also a super friendly guy! The place is an old japanese farmhouse and initially I was afraid it would be cold but it was all good. Would def recommend!!
