Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Shenandoah River

This is our second time staying at the “dog house” with Kayla. As usual the place does not disappoint and Kayla really thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable. The house is immaculate and smells clean. We will definitely be back. My dogs give it a five paw rating.

We had a wonderful time! Brenda thought of everything and made our visit so enjoyable -- from a beautiful table setup, to fun play areas, to a thoughtful welcome basket full of goodies. The kids LOVED all of the fun activities outside and playing upstairs with the toys. We highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway with young kids!

Melinda’s apartment was so homey and inviting. We loved spending time here. It was the perfect place to relax and a great jumping off point for all the sites we wanted to see. The neighborhood was quiet and the space had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place. Great location in a beautiful part of DC. Just 5 min to the capital and Walkable to everything. The space was exactly as described. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The neighborhood is amazing with all the old row houses different colors. It included free parking with was great too and the whole neighborhood felt safe. The host replied back quickly with any questions we had before our arrival. 100% recommend. We have zero complaints.

Such a lovely, comfortable home. Everything we needed. Loved the location. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and neighbors were friendly. There's a park with walking trails and lake half a mile walk away. The house was perfect. Relaxing. Comfortable beds and bedding. The record player was an added bonus, as were the puzzles and board games for the rainy days. Communication was excellent. Answered any questions quickly and was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay at Tony's home. The view is fantastic and the home is exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful time with our two kids and another couple. The hot tub was great! We did not explore the area a ton, but we went next door to the equestrian center and they were extremely accommodating to our two very curious 4 year olds. If you are into horses, I recommend giving them a call. I would recommend this home and location to anyone looking to get away.

The place was great for our trip and group. Connor and Alex were responsive, friendly hosts.

We very much enjoyed staying at Elisa’s place. We did not read carefully the description of the listing and that we would be staying in a suite attached to a house that was occupied. That being said, it was a little less private than we expected. Nevertheless, Elisa was great and we enjoyed our stay there.

Thank You for making my 54th birthday so pleasant and peaceful. The house is very private but at the same time it has glass window everywhere to let int he natural light. My favorite spot in the house was the back porch. It was private but the furniture was beautifully and comfortable. I spent hours just sitting and mediating out there. The kitchen is well stocked with everything a family would need to make a complete meal. The shower head made me feel like I was in a spa. The towels mad me feel as if I was drying with clouds. ( I have to find out where they bought those towels. I LOVED this house and so did my group of women I brought with me. There was plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely rent this house again.

This is the second time we had a girls weekend here! We loved staying here the first time, and it was just as lovely the second time! Always clean, super responsive, and has all of the amenities. Will continue to make it a tradition.

The place was very relaxing and peaceful. Tony was very responsive. They have great amenities on the property which we enjoyed.

We had a great stay here for a spring break family getaway. We were a family of six adults and two young children. The kids loved the hot tub and arcade game and the community pool. Everyone enjoyed the deck and scenic views. The house was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen was very well stocked. We would come back here!

We had a fabulous time. There were many toys for the kids. We appreciated the sleeping options and loved that there were two king beds. They also left some snacks for us. It was only 30 minutes from whitetail resort which felt manageable.

Absolutely loved stay at Miguel’s place! The neighborhood offered several delicious food options and the space was immaculate. It was a quick 15 min drive wherever we wanted to visit. This will definitely be on our list for our next trip to DC.

What a great place to stay! Easy to find, private and we really enjoyed the suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Bed was comfy and the whole place felt like home.

My husband and I visited Mariah’s place for a quick getaway, and I wish we could have stayed longer! Mariah’s home was equipped with everything we needed, as well as many unexpected amenities (fresh cream for coffee, snacks, and a “treat” area for pups) that made our stay relaxing. Mariah was very responsive and accommodating, with quick and helpful answers to our questions. Her space was spotless and located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely wooded view from the windows near the bedroom area - but also less than 10 minutes to Main St. and many other restaurants. The location is hard to beat. We would absolutely stay again!

Great place in Hanover. We came to visit family for the holidays and it was perfect for my parents and I! Having laundry available was a huge plus!

This was my second visit to the Pink Cottage and it lived up to the fond memories I made during my earlier January visit. I love the comfortable whimsical decor of the cottage, the fully functional kitchen, comfy queen bedroom and the large fenced yard. My dog is in heaven here! Eli is a gem of a host and I can't wait for my next visit.

So comfy and clean! Stayed for a few nights with some friends to forget about life for awhile. Easy walk to town, awesome hot tub on the deck and the grill works great. We left recharged and will def be back!
