Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Shenandoah County

Sarah's place is located in a very peaceful area. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting in rocking chairs on a porch. We had our meals on the deck overlooking the woods that gave us the feeling of being on a campout Kitchen is well equipped and easy to "navigate" with marked cabinets. Absolutely loved to browse Sarah's library and the 'Humans' book. The fire pit was lovely but unfortunately we were not able to use it due to the drought conditions. Would love to return in the near future.

My family was thrilled with their peaceful retreat in the mountains. Brenda made my mother’s birthday an enjoyable and unforgettable weekend. She made sure to hang a birthday banner for her, provided clear and thorough instructions on how to use all the amenities and the house was well-equiped with everything that a family needs. My family and I will definitely be coming back. The scenery is beautiful, quiet and spacious. We are eternally grateful for an amazing experience and happy to have spent some time away from the busy and loud city. Thank you!

My son and I were looking for a quiet home to spend his birthday weekend kayaking and fishing. House is right on the river and exactly what we were looking for. We had a really great time. The house was recently renovated and was very clean well furnished.

Loved our stay here. Traveled with my husband and dog to visit Shenandoah National Park. We booked Stephanie’s place based on proximity to the park and the fenced in yard for our pup. So glad we did! This home is very spacious, decorated super cute and had everything we needed for the week. Stayed in the larger bedroom and the king size bed was nice and comfy. Loved the updated but still historic feel of the home and neighborhood. The few nights we ate out, we were able to walk to get dinner which we really enjoyed. Short ride to get into the park… also very close to Luray caverns as well as Skyline and Shenandoah caverns… something to do on bad weather days. Stephanie was friendly and responsive as a host. Would stay again.

Great place to stay! We enjoyed our time there. Easy to separate dogs in the house. Wonderful yard to play with the pups in. If you have pups be aware the few cars that do travel the road do so quite fast. We didn’t get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but they appeared well maintained. Would absolutely stay here again. Out far enough with pretty views, but convenient to lots of things. Highly recommend!

This is the nicest AIRBNB we've stayed in. I was amazed at everything about this place. Bobbi clearly put a lot of work into the design. I'm usually surprised in a bad way when we check in. This was the opposite. If you are looking for a nice place in Lost River, this is it. Ten stars!

This is such a special place to stay! The views of the Shenandoah Valley are spectacular, and the house is set up to let you see those views pretty much all the time. The house itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely working wood fireplace and comfortable seating, as well as lovely bedding and good mattresses. We visited in winter (during a wonderful snowstorm!), but I'm sure this would be a glorious place in all seasons. Thank you, Erin, for being a great host!

Wonderful stay at a lovely home in a great location! Very peaceful street, only one block back from the (very walkable) main street in Woodstock, with coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream places, stores, etc. ... and also one block up from a cattle farm! A great mix of town and country. The house itself is exactly as promised, including neat quirks, old lead-glass windows, and a fenced-in yard that made it really easy to bring our dog. The pictures show exactly what to expect. Scotty and Jenny were not only responsive, but proactive, recommending local restaurants and shops that they love and that offered special discounts or gifts. Just lovely, and only about 1 1/2 hours from DC! A great home base to explore the Shenandoah Valley, or just enjoy a lovely small town.

My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Cindy’s home. We drove up right after the last day of school for a relaxing weekend in the mountains. This place was perfect for our weekend trip away from all our hectic schedules. Cindy was a gracious host and provided great instructions to the property. We wanted a place to lay back and enjoy each other’s company. This place hit the spot! The views were incredible in the morning and the surrounding attractions and restaurants gave my wife and I plenty of things to do. We were not there much in the day but once we returned, it was so comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely book again if we are in the area again. Thank you Cindy for welcoming us in your home it was very cozy and beautiful.

Andrea was very kind and her place was beautiful and clean. Instructions were perfect. Everything matched the description.

Robert's place was unbelievably peaceful. We enjoyed the view of the near mountain, the sound of the river wrapping around the property, the soothing acreage of organically grown waving grasses (harboring deer and foxes), a few stands of small trees, a plethora of bird houses near enough the house and a deck for taking it all in! One end of the Deer Rapid suspension bridge is right at the end of the driveway. We brought tubes expecting the river to be lazy like it was in 2023 but this time it was far fuller! Had we more time, we would have rented kayaks, had smores every night or hiked up the way. Everything was user friendly; we appreciated the printed binder, too! The overall cleanliness and air quality of the apartment and drinkability of the tap water were particularly good and worthy of mention! We felt the generosity of the host in every thoughtful detail. We encountered one little problem but which Robert bent over backwards to rectify, again showing great kindness. Such peace!

Very cute and comfortable. Right in downtown. everything is very convenient walkable to restaurants. even though it's downtown, there really isn't a lot of traffic noise. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.

The stay was lovely! The apartment was exactly as described and shown in photos. It was nicely decorated and evident Gretchen put a lot of thought and care into the guest experience. Aditionally, the clear instructions and here responsiveness made finding the place easy. Checking in and out was a breeze. I would recommend to others if they are in the area!

Right in the heart of Luray and convenient to attractions, the Skyline Drive, restaurants and more, this space was comfortable, clean, and cozy. Loved the community lounge area and the wrap around porch; enjoyed walking behind the property to the Greenway that follows along Hawksbill Creek. I walked into town to explore, visit the post office, welcome center, and a hiking store in the heart of historic Luray. Enjoyed my stay and hope to return in the future!

Thanks for the stay. Perfect location in the midst of downtown Luray. Helpful neighbors and easily walkable to a variety of restaurants and stores. The place is very clean and tidy. It is upstairs…it’s a loft. Nice private deck off the kitchen with great temperature control-forced air heat/AC as well as blankets and fans. All of us like to be at different temps, so we found this place to be well suited to our needs. The description is accurate and it was just what we needed for a quick trip!

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

It was great to have a quiet place with enough beds for our group. We had fun playing cards in the living room at night, and the view of the stars outside was great, too!

Good communication and flexibility when we had to adjust our check-in. Although a condo, the building was peaceful and serene and offers a great view of the nearby lake. Also within walking distance to gas station with convenience store, couple small eateries and amazing ice cream shop.

Very clean, nicely furnished b&b. Beds were comfortable too. The views out the window were lovely in fall with the changing leaves. We found the stay peaceful and quiet. The apartment had everything we needed. It was a little light on supplies (e.g. detergent pods, shampoo and conditioner) but we had brought our own supplies so it wasn’t an issue.

It was a very relaxing trip with young kids! The apartment was very kid friendly and clean and convenient to access. We had a great time and it felt like home. It was nice to have access to a TV and having 2 bathrooms and coffee maker. More than enough space for a family of 4. We would come back again sometime! No dishwasher so the only downside was washing dishes by hand on vacation.

The place does have an excellent view, and the location is perfect. It’s under 30 min from a lot of great trails, and even the immediate area is lovely to explore. The one thing I will say is that the condo is on the older side, so don’t expect fresh, new appliances. Nonetheless, everything (including the heating) works flawlessly. Patricia and Tracy were very responsive and very helpful, ready to help with whatever I needed. Another important note is all the hills, in that the condos around here are all literally built into them. Be prepared to walk uphill and put stress on your car. Other than that, there’s nothing I would change.

Molly was a great host. The Airbnb looks exactly like the photos. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. Molly gave very detailed instructions which made checking in super simple. The beds were a little bit hard but other than that, this was a perfect place to stay.
