Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Sheffield District

The apartment was exactly as described with most of the amenities you could need for a long term stay. Looked well taken care of and was generally clean upon arrival. The location was great and I didn't encounter any problems with external noise - you do hear noise from the corridors such as doors opening/closing although this is largely to be expected. There was a slight damp smell in the bathroom, not sure if this is down to the drains or the ventilation system not working correctly (it didn't seem to be doing anything). The hot water appeared slightly cloudy and white, but likely due to hard water. Lots of storage space, fully equipped kitchen with many appliances and lots of counter space. Many power outlets around the room which was very useful. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had, and the checkin/checkout process was very quick. Overall great value for money and would highly recommend.

Very spacious and comfortable flat with some excellent views of nearby river and hills. Very convenient to grocery and public transport. With windows on both sides, the flat was light-filled and the breezes were refreshing. Bath and kitchen were very large compared with other airbnb's at the same price. The kitchen had all that was necessary for most types of food preparation and cooking. I would definitely stay at Jonathan's flat again.

Great place, central to all amenities

Great value for money. The bed is comfortable and the shower was fine. It does get quite hot in the room due to the window not opening much, but for the price of this place, I can't complain! It does the job and lived up to the photos and description. The check in application is a bit extreme with a lot of personal info needed, feeling slightly intrusive, but it's not a huge problem. The hosts were very communicative and reception is there 24 hours if needed.

Great stay in a prime location. The apartment was very comfy and spotless. Everything was as described in the listing. The host is welcoming and responsive. I recommend this to other travellers.

Lovely staying in this welcoming Airbnb, with superb kitchen, lounge and bedrooms, and a quiet, peaceful surround, in easy reach of shops and historical sites. 24 hour Tescos 5 mins away was a massive help. Lots of superb eateries and local shops, in easy walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Exactly as described. Perfect little apartment, plenty of space, nice and clean and within walking distance of the town but also Kelham Island, which is somewhere we fell in love with. Parking on the same street which was really cheap for the whole weekend! Host responded to any queries straight away and were super helpful! Everything was perfect and we'll definitely be booking to stay here again soon.

Had a really good time staying at Stephan’s place. He was super quick to respond to any messages, which made everything easy. The flat was clean and matched the listing. Check-in was smooth — the directions were clear (my bad for not reading them properly at first!). The location is great, really close to the city and a popular coffee spot. Bob and Paula are lovely hosts. Helpful from the minute we arrived at their beautiful and peaceful property!! And the alpacas and the puppies are a complete joy! The cottage is spotless and warmly furnished. The location is perfect. Not too far from local attractions but far enough to be peaceful and quiet. If we had to do it again we would have stayed much longer. Thank you to our outstanding hosts!!!

Our stay was great it was in perfect location for activities around the apartment block and was so easy to find on the way back. The best thing was the bed it’s hugeeee and was one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had.

Spent Christmas at the house and had a great time. Kitchen was well equipped and served us well. The gym and the games room kept us busy and amused. Host was really responsive and helpful. Overall a great place to stay and definitely recommended.

Idyllic stay in the beautiful Peak District. Lyndas special cottage was a treat, beautiful and cosy, with soft colored walls and tasteful fabrics , personal antiques, little touches in every corner. A good little kitchen, very comfortable bed and linens everything we needed and then some. Located Just outside friendly and vibrant Matlock. Wonderful walks from the property and a perfect place to explore the whole area. Lynda is a talented interior designer and it was a treat to get to stay in her delightful cottage. My dog was also welcome and loved the garden space that was ours. Lynda was very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit with her love of the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back.

Dan has a fabulous home, very modern, the bed was so comfy, lovely modern kitchen, outdoor space and seating - it was so easy to find and super quiet. Perfect for Asda, and a short walk to the horse racing. Thanks so much Dan! Taxi from the station for a fiver x

This is a lovely place, very central to Holmfirth. We had clear instructions of where to find it on the day, and we were met at the property (tucked away down an alley) by the lovely friendly Ollie. There was milk in the fridge and a good handbook of the house and things to do. The beds were comfy and the house was lovely and warm. (Tip - take warm socks or slippers for the tiled kitchen and bathroom) Parking at the near by 'Crown Bottom' carpark was easy and cheap.
