Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shaler Township

Had a great stay at Frederick’s place, it was clean and comfortable and everything we needed for our stay for the week. Frederick was extremely helpful and responsive and we’d highly recommend this place to anyone else.

Great place for a family. Spacious rooms & kitchen. Neighborhood is nice & quiet. Location of the house is max 10-15 mins drive from main attractions in the City. The rear parking available is for mini SUVS as the driveway is narrow. If you have a minivan, will need to park on the street. There is a spot just in front of the house where we parked and was totally safe. I would recommend this place!

The Pine Schoolhouse was more than just a place to stay, it was an experience. Kevin has built a beautifully extravagant home that made me feel like I was staying in the dormitories at Hogwarts. With the library in the main living area to the hanging plants spread throughout the home, I was able to sit down in the swinging chair and feel all the cozy vibes! Next time I’m in the Gibsonia area I will definitely be staying here again!

This is a nice big place and only a short drive from some fun spots in Pittsburgh (PNC park, strip district etc). It was clean and cozy with a cute kitchen and back patio. Christi is also an excellent host - she was quick to communicate and extremely friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. We’d be thrilled to stay here again!

Had a great time staying here for the US Open. The place was very clean and welcoming. Plenty of places to walk to eat also. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at Nell's place. It is a very cute property in a quiet neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance or a short drive. The property itself was very clean and felt very welcoming. I would definitely stay at Nell's place again.

This Airbnb is a good value for a basic room within Pittsburgh city limits. The neighborhood is quiet, the room is clean and comfortable, and the entrance and bathroom are for your use only. I used both Lyft and public transport to get all around Pittsburgh. The host, Andrey, was prompt to respond to messages and provided detailed instructions for an easy check in.

Lisa is an amazing host! She is extremely proactive and responsive. Her space is an artistically and aesthetically inviting and safe space near all of the best amenities Pittsburgh has to offer. The yard was perfect for our fur babies and they loved all the cozy places to rest their paws. The Welcome cat, Pearl, was a true delight and an added highlight to our trip. Lisa went above and beyond when we had an issue with another tenant in her adjoining property and helped us resolve it immediately with grace and poise. We can’t wait to have a reason to come back to Pittsburgh soon just so we can stay in Lisa’s home again.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this – I truly loved the home. It had all the amenities I could need, was very clean, and smelled fresh the moment I walked in. Olivia was a great host and communicated with me quickly and clearly. From the fair pricing to the quality of the home and the amazing hospitality, everything was perfect. We had a nice stay in Bellevue. The house is very centrally located and within walk ing distance to restaurants and shopping. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

A comfortable little third-floor apartment at the north end of Bloomfield. We chose this spot for convenience to the Thunderbird in Lawrenceville, and to the outstanding APTEKA which is just around the corner. Didn't need to call on Stefanie for anything really, but appreciated the effort to get us "approved" for permit parking on the block. The unit is neatly decorated, very clean, and comfortable. Light sleepers will appreciate the white noise generator since there are helicopters coming and going from UPMC. One added local benefit once the weather cleared: the Allegheny and St. Mary's cemeteries are absolutely gorgeous. Recommended!

Michelle and her dad, Mike, were great hosts! Their apartment is roomy and well equipped. It was a good fit for a family of three, but I wouldn't recommend it for two couples as there's only one bathroom (with a great shower). It's got plenty of workspace, including a full desk, and the underground parking was easy to access. I'd recommend this apartment highly and would be happy to stay there again. Thanks for a great stay in the 'burgh!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was just as pictured and a short uber ride to everything we wanted to see in the city. Hosts were super responsive and even though the unit was close to busier parts of the city, it was super quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay here again next time we find ourselves in Pittsburgh!

This is the third or fourth time we have stayed at Kelly Jane’s in Wilkinsburg, Pittsburgh It is near our daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law’s which is why we chose it to begin with. But we also loved the apartment—2 bedrooms and it is very clean, pretty quiet, and extremely well furnished. It is probably the best equipped rental I have ever seen. Everything you would need is provided. She has thought of everything. She is always responsive in communications and her instructions are clear. My sister stayed with us here for the first time and she thought it was great too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Phenomenal accommodations! Stayed at Chad's place for the 18-May Pearl Jam concert because of proximity to PPG Arena. Super clear check in instructions with detailed photos, secure and convenient parking included, the place was very clean, all the amenities (loved the coffee options) and communication was prompt. I've stayed in many Pittsburgh Airbnb's the past 12 years with two kids attending Pitt from out of state and Chad's place is #1 for a downtown stay. With a son now living in Pittsburgh, Chad's place will be the first place I look to book for my next visit.

This is truly charming. Beautifully decorated and very clean. I love toys were provided for my little grandbabies. The only complaint I have is I wish time would have allowed us to stay longer.
