Alder Retreat

JeremyRating, 5 stars50 months ago
Alder Retreat is the most amazing place to stay in Kohima! It's in a quiet area not far from the city center with spacious rooms and beautiful common spaces. We had dinner and breakfast on site and both were delicious. I will definitely be back! Thanks Zhapuvi for accommodating all our request!
Lush terraced fields extend across the landscape, displaying vibrant shades of green. Trees line the edges, creating a natural frame for the rice paddies, while scattered huts can be seen amongst the rows, highlighting the rural charm of the area.

Large Balcony Double Room at Maple Homestay

Carl & JulieRating, 5 stars28 months ago
Visa was an awesome host. His place is very comfortable - even for the American - who needs a hot shower and access to good coffee. Visa even gave us a tour of his uncle’s coffee field. We were of course there for the Hornbill Festival, where there are so so many food offerings, both local and mainstream. The house and room were spotless and beautiful. The balcony looks across the valley to the Heritage site for the festival. Highly highly recommended! We will return to Visa’s Homestay in future years! Book it! Now! Don’t wait! Hands down - a winner!
A corridor is observed with wooden-framed windows offering views of the surrounding area. Light-colored walls are complemented by a decorative panel, and a single plant sits in a pot along the side, enhancing the inviting hallway.

I.K.Homestay

Ikheshe's place, I K Guest House is a pleasant surprise. It is definitely one of the best accommodation options that one could wish for in the beautiful city of Kohima. The hosts are amazing people and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They are more than eager to help you with local tips etc. The breakfast is great and so is the home cooked food available for dinner. The menu includes a wide array of local Naga delicacies, offered for a very reasonable additional cost. More than anything else, the warmth and hospitality of the guests are outstanding. The property is very well maintained. The rooms and attached bathrooms are sparkling clean and the beds are neat, clean and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with room heaters and the bathrooms with geysers for hot water. The property also offers sweeping views of the valley and the hilltop houses, especially the view at sundown from the wide open terrace adjacent to the rooms. Overall, wonderful hosts and a great place to stay in Kohima. Highly recommended!

Mountain View Homestay

NazaRRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Usually I never write a review unless it’s something special. Mountain View Homestay was exactly what I was looking for in a Homestay. Location: Very peaceful surroundings and very close to Kohima. Accommodation: The room is bit small, but spotlessly clean and functional, very thoughtful interiors, clean bathrooms with all amenities. Food: The highlight of the stay was the simple and deliciously prepared homemade breakfast and dinner. Host: Anga and her sister Ketho and their mother made us feel at home, making sure that our stay was comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nagaland first time and sure you will feel at home instantly. Thank you the host of Mountain View Homestay for making our holiday at Nagaland an enjoyable experience..
A minimalist bathroom is showcased, featuring a pedestal sink with a single faucet. Simple wooden paneling lines the walls, complemented by a mirror above the sink. A small shelf sits adjacent for storage, while a cylindrical waste bin rests on the floor.

Modern Naga-Inspired Twin Room

AnmolRating, 5 stars4 months ago
It was a great experience staying here and I hope to return back here in Kohima someday. The place is surrounded by a lovely garden and trees and is a quaint place aptly close and distant from the bustling city. Kitty did a great job of explaining and leading us right to the bnb. Google maps is treacherous there and please follow her directions over Maps. The breakfast served in the morning was excellent and very healthy. Her hospitality went beyond our expectations and she helped us with local cabs for our travels and even helped us arrange rental vehicles which were so difficult to find during Hornbill. The room is very spacious and tastefully decorated and the washrooms were also clean and hygenic. It's a great place to spend a few days at. Cheers.
A well-appointed guest room features two twin beds with light grey linens and decorative pillows. Nightstands are positioned beside each bed, equipped with lamps. A small tray with water bottles and snacks is placed on one of the nightstands, adding convenience for guests.

What we LOVED - - Cozy, clean, spacious rooms, the best part was that we had the entire floor to ourselves, with a cozy living room, a big bedroom, a balcony with a great view and a separate bathroom. - Marmi was a great host, always available responsive and helpful. She also took care of our food preferences, helped us get cabs, and always had a smile on her face. - Marmi's place is perfect in terms of the proximity to various places in Kohima. The interiors of her place make you feel at home instantly and the balcony offers a perfect view of Kohima ❤️ What could be improved - - The latch to our main door wasn't working, and it'd open on its own. Marmi dint have the key to the door either so there was no option to lock the room. - The room dint have a heater (which usually a basic amenity given the weather in Kohima) and Marmi offered one at extra charge per day, which we thought was a bit much as the heater wasn't working properly either.
