This 1792 farmhouse is beautifully restored. The way it nods to the past through exposed original brick, fireplaces, and a true Virginia front porch is something that anyone can appreciate. We spent time reading, relaxing, walking, and cooked every meal in the gorgeous kitchen. The large windows keep you connected with nature, even if the weather keeps you indoors. It is perfectly hidden from the view of any neighbors. The information provided in the guest book was helpful. We appreciated small details such as the coffee bar, spa bathtub, and we found our new favorite boardgame, Chickapig! We hope to visit again as a family in the future.

This tiny house is the perfect getaway for a family! It truly is peaceful and away from everything! It was clean and had everything we needed! This was our second time staying here and we will be back! Make sure you are prepared to drive deep into the mountain and on unpaved roads. It’s all worth it for the true peace you get. We enjoyed Natural Bridge, the Safari park and even a swimming hole while there. Everything is about 40-45 minutes away but it’s just because of getting out of the mountain and doesn’t feel too far away. Perfect for people who want to feel like they are camping but with the amenities I need.

If I could give a separate host rating, I would give Mary Ann 10 stars. I couldn’t have felt more welcome, and I even got a full tour of the city. I am a remote worker, so having a dedicated office is such a luxury. I was able to relax on the weekends without thinking about work. This is a great place, especially for an extended stay. It’s comfortable, in a great neighborhood, and I have paid twice the price for places nowhere near as nice. It was exactly the escape I needed after the holidays, and I would not hesitate to book again.
