White Scaur Annexe, Bassenthwaite, Lake District

ScarlettRating, 5 stars6 days ago
An absolutely amazing stay, Adrian and Stefania were so welcoming and even hung up some decorations for my partners birthday as we went up to celebrate! Such a friendly couple and so informative and attentive by alerting us when there were interesting animals in the gardens to see. Just all round fantastic experience and the annexe was so stunning and felt right at home 🫶🏻 Most definitely would go again! ☺️

Exclusive 3 bedroom detached home with garden

PearlRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Our stay was wonderful and beyond expectations. The house itself was squeaky clean, comfortable and very beautiful. We really appreciated the spacious and well-equipped kitchen as we didn’t eat out much. Martin’s arrival instructions were very clear and helpful. The hamper of local goods was a lovely surprise! The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and the location was great. Just 15-min walk to Nichol End Marine for water sports and walkable distance to Keswick town centre. Would love to come again!

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

Hot tub, Mountain View, 4-poster bed & log burner

AlanRating, 5 stars11 months ago
First holiday in the Lake District and it was great! The cottage was brilliant, just right for us, clean and tidy, 4 poster bed was impressive and not forgetting the hot tub which was excellent after a day's walking. Hazel and Steve were very helpful on recommended walks, we didn't use the car since all the walks in the local area were fantastic. We walked for 5 days, weather was great, one of the best hoildays we have had, so peaceful, freindly people whereever we went to, on the 6th day we rested....the feet deserved a break! Thank you Hazel and Steve for making it such a wonderful stay, it would be nice to do it again. Best wishes, Grace & Alan

Little Ada, Keswick - 1 Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 2

ShonaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
The cottage was clean and as described with the host having left us cleaning supplies, toilet paper, towels etc. The property was also in a great location close to the town centre and easily walkable from the local hikes. The home was clean with the amenities described on the listing and the local area had some lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants.
A scenic pathway is bordered by lush green fields and drystone walls, leading towards a cluster of rustic buildings nestled among large trees. The backdrop features rolling hills and a rugged mountain, under a clear blue sky.

Beautiful hideaway in the heart of Lake District

GemmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very much as described, glamping with no running water or electricity however, it was the perfect location for an off-grid getaway. We had 2 big dogs (lurchers) & they fit just fine on their beds in the available floor space. We didn't speak to Debs but John met us as we arrived & left, very friendly, very welcoming & helpful. Great base for doing a variety of the Borrowdale walks. Definitely take extra firewood & if the weather is nice, a gas stove will be useful so you don't have to light the indoor stove. We also brought a coolbox so we could store cold food securely. Being able to leave our washing up & water container at the door then go out & come back hours later to replenished water & everything clean was a lovely touch. Really appreciated the whole experience

A scenic country road is seen winding through a landscape of rolling hills, with a red vintage car traveling along the paved surface. Striking shades of brown and green cover the hills, while a single tree stands prominently along the roadside.
