Vacation rentals with beach access in Scarborough

Fabulous place, location, and hosts. I highly recommend both. Kalk Bay is all charm. The apartment, top floor, has a wonderful view of the ocean and hills. Stunning. Easy secure walking into town. Lynne and Luiz are the best. The apartment is perfect in everyway: the bathtub overlooks the hills and with the sound of the ocean is all peace and comfort.

This serene and spacious apartment is bright, sunny and with a spectacular view over the harbour of Kalk Bay and False Bay. We love Kalk Bay and its walkability, restaurants, boho boutiques, and nearby natural ocean tidal swimming pools. This apartment is the answer!

Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful Kalk Bay apartment! It’s spacious, stylishly furnished, filled with natural light, and offers stunning views of the harbour. The location is unbeatable—steps away from Olympia Café and Harbour House. The mattresses are incredibly comfortable, and it was the perfect spot for our wedding weekend—the bride even got ready here! We’ll definitely be back.

Words cannot describe the location of this property. Literally ON the beach with the most beautiful sunsets. Private and tranquil. Honestly just felt like heaven when on the deck by the pool looking out over this setting. A little jealous that I don’t get to live there. 😉 Absolutely stunning.

This top floor apartment was everything and more. The views were the best. It was such a to wake up to the sun rising to the right and setting to the left. This apartment had all of the amenities and the host was super friendly and accessible. The neighbors are super friendly and the area is super safe. We had no issues except having to leave. We walked to the beach front and to several local eateries but has no issue driving our car when we went out further. The place was super clean and the bed slept like a big pillow. We even cooked one day and had no issue with any of the modern appliances. Speaking of appliances, they were all modern and easy to use. The lighting is super cool here and I felt like I was in a 5 star high rise. It took us a minute to get our clothes dry (2 tumbles) but they could be bc I wasn’t sure of the settings. And there are narrow stairs getting to the apartment so pack light but such a minor thing bc this space is the perfect oasis. We will return for sure !

We absolutely loved staying in this gem. Those pictures don’t even come close to the real experience. We spent most of our time in the perfect open kitchen and on the terrace - surrounded by the scent of flowers, uncountable butterflies and stunningly beautiful birds. Scarborough is the perfect place if you feel like calming down in nature but still wanting to taste nice cappuccini& croissants (at the hub or sunshine café ie), buying good quality food (@the hub), taking a trip to the cape of good hope, enjoying incredible sunsets and walks on the beach and feeling save without huge fences and gated communities. Thank you Jenny for sharing this wonderful piece/peace of earth with others.

We had the most wonderful stay—this place completely exceeded our expectations and was even more beautiful than the photos! Every little detail was thoughtfully done, and it truly felt like a home away from home. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating such a cozy, welcoming space. The hosts were fantastic—communication was clear, friendly, and consistent from start to finish. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. One of the true highlights was the view—those sunsets were absolutely magical and the perfect backdrop for making unforgettable memories. We honestly didn’t want to leave and are already dreaming of coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

If you’re reading this review, it means you’re considering this rental. If this beach-front property is available, don’t waste any more time and simply rent it! My wife and I have rented AirBnB properties around the world and this rental was spectacular. One of the best places, if not the best place, we’ve ever rented. Mary-Louise is a very responsive host, her place is spotless clean, large with 2 bedrooms and has a multi-million dollar view. Only steps away from the ocean, falling asleep to the ocean was so relaxing and the only thing we wish was to have been able to stay longer than just 3 nights. My work colleagues was raised in Cape Town and recommended Camps Bay over the V&A area and we were so happy we listened to him and stayed on Glen Beach. Thanks so much Mary-Louise for an amazing stay!!!!! Should we ever return to Cape Town, we will definitely be a repeat guest.

This is right at the top of the list of best AirBnB stays we have ever had. The house is magnificent and the surroundings are breathtaking. It is safe and the hosts are incredible. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I had an amazing stay and would definitely love to stay there again when in Cape Town. Place is very clean, quiet and full of daylight, with a beautiful sideview to an ocean. Location is perfect - 10 min uber drive away from VA Waterfront and Camps Bay beach.

The house was lovely and spacious with everyhting we needed. There were high quality finishings which gave us a 5 star experience. Aubrey and Kerry were fantastic hosts. We didn't go to the beach much due to the weather but we had lots of scenic walks in the area. We would definitely go back and stay there again!

Fantastic views. Comfortable bedrooms and great ablutions. Close to many restaurants and for sports mad world class promenade to run awesome swimming pool to train and great cycling routes. Happy space for the fat triathletes and people who love sea sunsets

The most amazing, cosy but spacious airbnb. I really enjoyed my time here. The space is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of a fully functional home. And with the Ocean to great you right as you step out the door- what more could one ask for.

What a great spot with easy access to the beach or pools. In winter, you have the ever changing sea views but due to the recessed position less noise. It was a relaxing sanctuary after our work days and Liz was an attentive hostess, arranging an easier parking for our large car … For those who struggle with mobility there are steps to the well appointed unit.

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it was conveniently close to safe walking areas, shops, a beautiful park & restaurants yet was in a relatively quiet road. The apartment is beautifully appointed with absolutely everything you need, especially in the kitchen. It’s light & airy with stunning views. You feel secure & totally at ease there. Very obliging staff, in all, everything to recommend it.

Amazing lock up and go spot located in close proximity to all the awesome spots in town with some of the most amazing views! Would definitely stay again!
