Paulo's place was beautiful, clean, carefully laid out with so many nice thoughtful touches throughout the house. The unique aspect is the exterior space - very rare to have in houses here - a spacious deck with a great view - a dining table, fire pit, lounge chairs, and a hot tub. The view from the bedrooms and the sound of the nearby beach was so dreamy! Note the house is a 5 minute walk along a path from the car park - Paulo helps with carrying bags over - this adds to the feeling of privacy and remoteness.

A true gem. The casita, perched atop a small mountain, offers 360-degree views, including a stunning ocean vista. Immersed in nature and fresh air, the peace is profound. Well-maintained walking trails wind through the property with frog ponds and bird-filled trees. The casita was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and the bed was comfy with soft, quality linens. Every detail made it feel like a home away from home. One of the true joys was spending time with the donkeys each morning and evening—gentle, sweet companions that added to the charm. The hosts are simply wonderful. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they made me feel like family. Their care and hospitality elevated my stay beyond just a getaway—it was an experience of connection, relaxation, and renewal. If you are looking for beauty, tranquility, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the perfect retreat. I am looking forward to my return!

Een heerlijk verblijf gehad in een prachtig huis. Strand op loopafstand waardoor we elke dag van de zee konden genieten. Ook van de buitenkeuken iedere dag gebruik gemaakt.

Beautiful house in splendid rural setting. The view looks like a 19th centry painting, just gorgeous. Old house tastefully restored. Great shower, good but rather hard mattresses on the beds (normal in Portugal). Insect netting on windows and doors, probably needed in summer. Local café 1 km. down the hill, a half hour walk. Best beach of the island 7 minutes away by car (São Lourenço). Airport and biggest town less than half an hour away by car. We recommend 'Paraiso Radical' for jeep tours around the island. Great for seeing all the hard-to-get-to places. Two nice rooms, one with twin beds, one with a double bed. We had an extra mattress put into the double bed room.

Very nice cottage with a wonderful garden and a beautiful view. The check in was very easy and the kitchen has everything you need. In the living room is a chimney that is very nice for a stormy or rainy day. Would definitely come again when I am in Santa Barbara.

Incredible place! Located right on the best beach on the whole island. We loved eating breakfast on the covered patio while looking at the ocean. The jacuzzi was perfect and got a ton of use. Roberto was so helpful with check in and local tips. Highly recommend. The space had everything we could need.

What to say? Just amazing! The apartment is absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need! The terrace has a barbecue that I had the chance to try with an amazing sunset and it was magical. Elio is an incredible host, he came to the airport to pick me up, and bring me to the apartment where he prepared welcome food and wine, and much more for the upcoming days. He always worried about me having a great time, and also thanks to him I really can’t wait to be back here next year. It’s a shame I can only give 5 stars to this amazing place. Thank you Elio for making my stay unforgettable

Nice apartment, had everything that we needed. Comfy bed, plenty of space. The noise from the pebble stone road is undeniably there, but the windows block out a lot. We aired the apartment before going to sleep and it was fine (late sept), in summer it might get hot at night. Manuela was responsive, helpful and immediately brought over a new kettle when we mentioned the one we had wasn't working. The location is great, close to everything in Vila do Porto.
