Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, yet close to town center...only 2 1/2 miles. Have your morning coffee or evening cocktails on our screened in back porch overlooking the pond. Go fishing in the private pond and take out our kayaks. We also have a 4 person inflatable dinghy you may use along with 3 fishing poles and life vests. There are 2 lightweight kayaks for pond use only. We just purchased a 4 man paddle boat. Life jackets are required when on or in the water.

Fisherman's Retreat Cabin 2

Hurricane Helene has taken a toll on our town , but we're up and running and we'd love to have you. Located on the Tuckasegee River in the Great Smoky Mountains. We're just a mile or so from the train depot in BearHunter Campground. Kids love the loft sleeping space in the tiny home cabin. Bryson City is ready for guests to come and enjoy our quaint little town. Ask about one night stays Sunday - Wednesday.

From the moment you walk in the door, it feels like home. The cabin is beautifully decorated and well appointed with anything you may need. The floor to ceiling windows in the master room are such a special touch. We left them open all night and watched the moon rise and stargazed. The kids enjoyed fishing down at the dock and playing in the play room. It is a decent trek up hill (from the dock to cabin) but helps that it’s a paved path. Such an amazing and peaceful time we had!

It was a beautiful home and location! The views are breathtaking. Zack was responsive, we wanted to do kayaking and Zack recommended Marina that had kayaks available for rent just 10 min walking distance. The house had private hot tub on the deck, very clean. Everything is the house was spotless. Fire pit had firewood available. There was nothing negative, just the most perfect stay!

This was such a sweet stay and we wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful location - my husband enjoyed fly fishing during the day on the water and I was only 20 minutes from kayaking at the NOC. The house was very clean - tidy bathroom and kitchen with all your basics stocked to get you started. Hot tub was lovely and very clean! There is a steeper drop off next to the outside firepit so I would be mindful with little children. Easy check in and they were very flexible and responsive when we had some crazy weather pop up nearby. We will be back again and hopefully stay a little longer!

Our family of four really enjoyed the cabin! Very comfortable and well furnished. Built with modern materials but felt rustic and was warm and cozy. Great views over the lake and very quiet at night. Our family had fires in the fire pit most nights which was sooo relaxing! Easy to get to with towns, trails and waterfalls nearby.

Beautiful cabin nestled in mountain laurel right next to a small creek. Bathroom door next to the hot tub is a nice touch as it was COLD outside when we were there! The outdoor fireplace in the screened in porch was cozy & the fire pit next to the screen is super nice!! Everything was spotless when we checked in. Kitchen had everything we needed as far has small appliances, pots/pans & utensils. We hope to return during warmer weather so we can enjoy the little creek!

We enjoyed our stay 100%! An excellent location, just on the bank of the Nantahala river. A 15-20 min drive to the Blue Ridge Pkwy overlooks, Bryson City. The Fontana Lake Dam is a little longer drive. The terrace, the fireplace and the hot tub are all amazing.

Tims home on the river provided the exact mixture of relaxation and privacy that me and my friends needed. Screened in doors and windows let us open the air up and hear the river while sipping coffee and chatting amongst ourselves. Sitting 10 or so minutes between Clayton and Franklin provided so many awesome food experiences. The house was spacious enough for 7 guys to walk around and not feel cramped but also provided a comfortable space to sit and enjoy each other’s company. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
