Espaço muito agradável para uma família ou para amigos passarem um bom tempo especialmente com o calor que esteve o AC foi uma grande comodidade que temos na casa toda. Recomendamos a estadia.

We hebben een zalig verblijf gehad. Super mooie woning, met behoud van authentieke elementen en een goed onderhouden zwembad. Ook toegankelijk voor personen met een beperking. We voelden ons meteen thuis. We waren erg blij met elke dag een vers brood voor onze deur. Een heel charmant dorpje van waaruit je verschillende uitstappen kan maken. Helemaal de moeite waard!

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

Tivemos uma estadia excelente! A casa estava super limpa e bem cuidada. A zona é muito calma, ideal para descansar. Não tivemos qualquer problema durante a estadia. Recomendo totalmente e voltaría sem dúvida.

O Val corresponde à descrição: casa antiga recuperada com muito gosto, cozinha bem equipada, e envolvente paisagística lindíssima. A vegetação à volta da casa está muito bem cuidada, e a piscina é ótima. A única nuance é impossível de ser controlada pela proprietária num ambiente rural: as formigas!

Adorámos a estadia nas casas da Fontanheira, sem qualquer dúvida dou 5 estrelas. A casa tem todas as condições para um casal com 2 filhos, muito espaçosa, moderna e muito bem decorada. As minhas filhas dizem que foi a casa mais "fixe" onde ficaram, adoraram! Mas atenção para quem tem filhos mais pequenos, que o acesso à mezzanine pode ser um pouco perigoso, pois as escadas não têm proteção lateral, o que para nós não foi problema, pois as minhas filhas já são mais crescidas. Ficámos na casa mais afastada da piscina, que tem uma vista deslumbrante para a montanha (não sei se a casa do lado também terá). Ótima casa para desligar do stress do dia-a-dia e recarregar baterias no meio da natureza.

We had a wonderful time at Catarina’s place. The cottage was peaceful and quiet and had all things necessary for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped, which we appreciated so much as we enjoyed cooking our meals. The pool was our favourite spot during the day and the huge estate allowed for gorgeous evening walks. We loved having the dogs around and getting some cuddles in. :) We would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a tranquil vacation, and we are hoping to return ourselves as well!

I can’t express how grateful I am for this unforgettable stay. Nestled deep in the woods, the place felt like a peaceful retreat straight out of a fairytale: quiet, surrounded by nature, with the soft sounds of birds and leaves in the breeze. Every little detail was thought through with care and love, making the space not only cozy and beautiful, but also deeply welcoming. And then there’s the host, absolutely extraordinary. From the first message, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind, Mariana made us feel more like guests in a friend’s home than travelers passing through. Their recommendations, attentiveness, and generosity added so much to the experience. If you’re looking for a special escape, this is it. A place to breathe, to slow down, and to feel truly taken care of. I’ll carry the peace I found here with me for a long time.
