Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Santa Cruz la Laguna

I stayed in all 3 AirBnB rooms at Carlos' Seite Volcanes' suite over 4 months and loved each one! I even had family visit who opted to stay in the San Marcos' center instead at Lush Atitlan; However, after they visited my spot at Carlos', they wished they had taken my suggestion to stay here instead. The view is unmistakable; the Spanish colonial aesthetic is flawless; the lush tropical garden is mature; the privacy is serene. Seite Volcanes is close enough to town to stumble to the lake-front in less than 10 minutes but not so close that your sleep is subject to the howling of street dogs or bar-hopping tourists. In fact, it's nestled quietly away in a forested area off a safe side-road. I never once had a problem with access to great aminities either: constant high-speed internet access, round-the-clock strong hot water pressure, and an on-site washing machine. Top all that off with one of the best hosts on this site, and you might just extend your stay by an extra month like me!

It‘s a rare thing to find a place that looks better in real life than in the pictures of the ad. This one is one of these. Very close to the town centre, situated in a beautiful garden. A real treat.

Such a fun place to stay! Beautiful patio and location, right in the center of everything. Kenny was super helpful with anything we needed and Israel was very welcoming!

This was perfect for my 3-week stay while studying at the Cooperativa Spanish school. Juana and Jade were both super responsive and friendly the few times I reached out. The location was easy walking to the school, the lake and the tourist area, but far enough from the main backpackers area that it was quieter than there. There is a nightclub across the street, and an excellent cafe, but both can get noisy. But honestly, no where in San Pedro is going to be considered ‘quiet,’ so in the scheme of things, this apartment was a haven! And, back in the bedrooms the noise was vastly diminished. Kitchen is clean and functional with the basics. The one thing that threw me off was the steep staircase to the apartment. The stairs at the top are pretty narrow which could prove challenging for those with mobility issues. There is a railing which made it manageable. Overall, I hope to go back for more Spanish lessons, and I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Kenny's apartment. The patio overlooking the lake was a great place to start and end our day. We appreciated how the apartment was close to lots of restaurants and bars, and Kenny gave us a ton of great local recommendations for San Pedro and surrounding towns. If you love being in the middle of the action of the town this is the perfect place for you.

I stayed here on glorious week and could have stayed another. The place was exactly as described and the rooftop deck/kitchen was an amazing place to work and chill. It was a 50 yard walk to the lake and only a 5-10 walk to the main tourist area. It’s also about as peaceful as San Pedro gets. Town has a party vibe so you will still hear music at night and the occasional dog barking but nothing that even cheap earplugs can’t handle.

A perfect place to rest and share with family and friends. The photographs match the place perfectly, everything is very clean and very good communication with the hosts. The best part is one of the best views of the lake, I would stay in this place again without thinking about it!

A spectacular place, my family and I talked about how it's even nicer than in the photos. Nice touches, Fabi made the stay easier. We're definitely going back. What a nice weekend to disconnect in this wonderful place.

Nice place very comfortable and clean. located away from all the busy traffic, this place was relatively quiet and quite private. Well equiped, we loved the layout and modern kitchen. We highly recommend this beautiful place.

It was a pleasure to stay in Nathalie’s place during the days we spent on Atitlán lake. We had a lovely time there and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the calm and the beautiful view of the lake.

The location is breathtaking—surrounded by majestic volcanoes and lush greenery, with views of the lake that are nothing short of magical. Whether you're watching the sunrise paint the sky in hues of gold and pink or soaking in the tranquility of the water, every moment feels like a retreat into nature's paradise. The house itself is beautifully designed, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. It offers spacious and well-lit rooms that feel cozy yet elegant, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the vibrant local culture. The outdoor spaces are particularly delightful, with terraces or gardens where you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.

I stayed in the guacamole cabin for 2 weeks it was very private and quiet back yard with a nice sitting area surrounded by greenery. next door is the training area for yoga ,martial arts and many other activities I took part in the hatha yoga classes which were awesome way to start the day the lake is a 4 minute walk ,spent most of my time on the water kayaking and swimming. it's just a paradise. Johnathan has created a community of teachers and students to enrich your soul .we had 2 potluck dinners wich was a good way to meet the other guests. yea I love that place and it's people. thanks Johnathan, I'll be back next year .

Ciirilo and his family are the most friendly people. He offered pick up from the ferry and took us to where we needed to catch our shuttle the next day. His accommodation was clean and perfect for what we needed as a transition base to our next destination. It is a bit far from the main area, but realistically only a 20 minute walk, if you don’t mind walking. However, the lake was an easy 5-7 minute walk. The neighborhood was a typical Guatemalan neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We felt very safe. Thank you Cirilo for hosting my wife and I.

Excellent! If you go for a walk in Xela or are just passing through, it is the best option, location, parking, and very safe environment, we will certainly return when going to Xela, highly recommended and quite satisfied!

Excellent place to spend a nice vacation. The place is in a very good location where everything is close and full of privacy. Highly recommended. I'll be back to that beautiful place soon.

Excellent accommodation in Quetzaltenango. 10/10

This is a great studio with kitchen. Propane stove, mid-size fridge, microwave… well done quipped. Curio went out of his way to help us many times. There are other rentals and it was nice to meet guests from all over the world. We recommend this side of Panama: away from tourists, great beach, and walkable.
