Exquisite home with pool on estate

Villa Eggedal is situated on the North shore of Lake Atitlan in the peaceful village of Santa Cruz. Ten acres of beautifully manicured gardens with pool overlook the lake and its surrounding volcanoes. The gardens make this a bird-watcher's paradise. There are 7 properties on this amble estate. The views are amazing but it does involve walking up numerous steps. If you are arriving after dark, please make sure to bring a torch with you. Only arrive by boat and not by car.

It was a nice place, host was very friendly, sent us a list of suggestions on where to go and where to eat. Only one room has AC, the other one has a fan, private parking, tours agency right across the street. One thing to consider bathroom and shower are separate rooms but shower door is see-through apart from that everything is great!

It is a beautiful place with good views and access to the lake. The house has a longer checkout time so in the morning we went to San Juan village and we are not that in rush to checkout. By the lake the volcano views is gorgeous, even sitting at the patio outisde the kitchen you can see the volcano and a lots of stars in the night. However, better to use a 4x4 car to arrive. And there is a 5 minutes staircases walking down to arrive the house. The house is quite warm, not as chill as in the outside. The house is equipped well. A good choice for a group of people accomodation.

Great location, good for relaxing, if you come by car, ideal for shopping and excursions, the lake is clean and clear. Wonderful for swimming, depending on the current. It's worth it if you want to spend a few days in this place. And there is no noise from the street, everything is very quiet. Would come back anytime

Incredible spot, incredible view! My family and I spent 10 days here and enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Chalet. Brieuc was responsive and helpful before we arrived and during our stay. His home was clean, enough kitchen amenities too cook with. When we arrived we took a tuk tuk up the hill too the shangri la then the very friendly and helpful Nicolas helped us with our bags. to the chalet, it was a smooth and easy arrival because of this. Yes there is a walk but we walked it daily with 3 small kids (10,8 and 3 years old) and it was no trouble. It is worth every step too have such a quiet spot, breathtaking view and be able too listen too the birds and surrounding nature. Brieuc was a kind and friendly host, it was a pleasure to meet him and his kids whilst we were there We hope too return again!

Staying at Michelle’s place was great. Located perfectly between San Marcos and tzununa allowed for access to the towns while also a quiet and retreat, and space to get work done. If you have a chance head to tzununa on mondays to take a farm tour of Atitlan Organics and other permaculture projects. The cats were wonderful especially Oscar!

One of our favourite ever stays with AirBnB after many years. Amazing value & lovely apartment with incredible views. So easy to get to and from San Pedro centre with Tuk Tuk 10Q per persona. Host could not be more helpful. Isabelle Bistro good restaurant close.

Do I recommend it? X1000! Beautiful place, with stunning views. The view by day is beautiful and by night, needless to say... The place has everything you need to cook and rest… it fulfills everything it offers. Andres was super attentive to all the inquiries made, recommended restaurants and places to get tours in the area. Definitely would come back.
