Beachfront vacation rentals in Sandy Bay

We stayed a couple of nights in this beautiful house. It was so quiet having come from the city, and the tranquil waterfront property was just what we needed. Rohan let us know everything before we got there and it was just as advertised. Very relaxing and we'll come again.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! We booked this accommodation as a family, as my brother was getting married in Peppermint Bay. Lindsey was very proactive and an excellent communicator - the house was easy to find, access and enjoy. All the amenities required were provided, the view and garden were lovely. I’d thoroughly recommend a stay here, and hope to arrange another booking when we are in Tasmania again.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb during the Easter holidays while visiting Hobart. The house is beautifully maintained and perfectly situated right in front of a serene lake connected to the Pacific Ocean, with a vast forest reserve just beyond. Waking up to peaceful mornings surrounded by nature was heavenly. We enjoyed spotting wallabies and rabbits nearby, adding to the authentic Tasmanian wildlife experience. The host was thoughtful, providing kitchen essentials that made our stay comfortable and convenient. This place offers a perfect escape into nature with stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to relax in the lap of nature near Hobart.

Lovely house with beautiful views and cosy wood heater as well as reverse cycle air-conditioning. Spacious lounge and deck with plenty of seating. Beds were comfy with warm doonas and extra blankets if needed. would definitely stay again.

A lovely peaceful place to relax and unwind. We really appreciated the delicious platter of fruit, bread and cheese on arrival. Plus the Easter eggs on Sunday morning was a delightful surprise.

We had an amazing stay at Jack's place. Such an incredible view and perfect place to spend peaceful and quality time. We had great experience staying close to beach, enjoyed our bbq with hot pit in such a calm place. Specially the view is spectacular and such a lovely home to relax and enjoy the view. I would love to come back and stay there another time.

Everything was clean and tidy. All you could possibly need was in the kitchen. The view from the balcony was amazing. We already knew the area so were happy to return. One suggestion could be a number on the gate. Especially for people arriving in the dark. One thing we were shocked about was booking for 2 weeks and not being able to find any spare sheets or pillowcases to change the bed. We had a fantastic stay at Opossum Bay. The place was beautifully presented with high-quality amenities throughout—nothing cheap or nasty here! Everything felt thoughtfully chosen and well cared for. We made good use of the BBQ and pizza oven, and loved going for walks to the nearby rec park. The whole experience was relaxing and memorable. Would absolutely recommend!

host able to accommodate early check in even though it was requested last minute. after 10+ hours flight and layover in between, an early check in of 1-2 hours also matters! place is nice, good kitchen and space that can easily house 3 small families. house insulation may be the only thing that can improve but sufficient heaters provided so it isn't too much of an issue. Pep pizza, a nice playground and a woolsworth is less about 10mins drive away while Hobart is a easy 20-30minsndrive so i'd say it's quite a convenient place!

Exactly what we were looking for after 2 weeks traveling around Tassie in our van. Private, relaxing, right on the beach with the most amazing views and sounds of the waves right outside our window. We loved our stay in this immaculate home. This was our second holiday in South Arm, and certainly not the last. The house was clean and well stocked for a comfortable stay. We loved the sounds of the ocean and access to the beach is short and easy. It's so near perfect, my only wish would be a rug or mat, as the home has very little in soft furnishings. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this home!

This beautiful beach house is exactly what you need if you're looking to completely relax. Deborah has made the space cosy, gorgeous decor, and lots of lovely touches to make the stay one ro remember. Being so close to the beach is amazing. I highly recommend this property, I can't wait to come back 😊

A fantastic location right on the beach. The interiors are tastefully decorated with a well-designed layout, plenty of areas to chill out, and ample storage space for a longer term stay. We also enjoyed the selection of books and magazines. There’s a fabulous jacuzzi bathtub in the master bathroom, and it was so relaxing to go for walks on the beach and fall asleep to the rhythmic sound of waves. It’s well worth stopping at a larger supermarket before you get there to stock up with any food or other supplies you might need, so you can maximise your peaceful and relaxing stay.

Beyond amazing. Beautiful location and siting of the building. Wonderful framed views. Beautiful sunlight. Lots of seating. Comfortable beds. We saw an echidna, pademelon and quoll on the property. We took lovely walks and watched the changing weather from the windows. Our stay was an unforgettable experience.

A beautiful property with stellar Harbour views. A short Uber to the airport and Salamanca, so a great option for large groups and short stays.

Probably one of the best places we have stayed so far..both my kids loved the place.. we had a wonderful time playing games in the house.. the hot bath tub was very relaxing after 4 days of hecitic travelling...loved the view from kitchen...overall worth every dollar spent..

We were traveling as a family group of ten and this house accommodated us so well. The location is so beautiful and we loved exploring the local region and then coming home to wander the beach each evening. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful

We had a reunion with long term friends rang in from in their 60s to 5 months old. We were coming from lots of different locations in Australia and wanted a place that allowed us to ‘just hang out’ together as well as being able to go for a walk and not spend too much time in the car to see places. This home caught our eye. It was perfect with 7 bedrooms, 4 toilets, 3 showers and 2 baths as well as huge living rooms, dining table and verandahs. Mark provided ample towels etc and toiletries for all of us. The kitchen was well appointed and had lots of fridge and pantry space etc. The high chairs and non-slip bath mat were a bonus. Thank you. We all found ourselves drawn the magnificent view. We would highly recommend this and will book again in the future.
