Our home is located right in the center of beautiful Tlacolula, Oaxaca. During your stay you can visit many tourist locations such as the Farmers Market where you can purchase organic foods/clothing (3 min away)! You can sight see our Mitla/MonteAlban ruins where you can enjoy the archaeological sights and take pictures (25-45 min away)! Enjoy Matatlan famous for its Mezcal (45 minutes away!) Visit the 2000 yr old Tule tree (30 min away)! Visit Teotitlan and see our textiles (15 min away)!

Villa Rey—Traditional Hacienda Home Near Oaxaca

Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

Minimalist jewel full of light opening onto gardens of towering trees and blooming succulents, multiple terraces and a 22-meter heated, lap pool. We are part of a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and easy transportation to Oaxaca city (25 minutes away). We offer tours to craft villages and archaeological sites. For the hiker, there are local mountain trails. And, the town of Tule is 2.5 miles away with its majestic 2,000 year-old cypress tree - a sight to see!

The cabin is located on the international highway that connects the capital with tourist places such as Tlacolula de Matamoros, Mitla or Hierve el Agua. All kinds of public transportation pass by on the road: bus, van, or taxi.
