Pet-friendly vacation rentals in San Mateo County

Leah's place was exactly as described in her listing. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable to several shops, restaurants and parks. The backyard space is quite big and there is a beautiful large redwood tree centered in the space. The house had all the amenities mentioned in the listing and definitely had everything we needed for out stay. We will come back again next time we are in the area!

This place was so cozy and perfect for our group! There are a total of 5 rooms which was plenty of space for my group. Our favorite was the three bedrooms with the master en-suite bathrooms attached (it was perfect for the older people in our group). And checkin was very easy and parking. We will return again in the future!

Monica’s home was just what we needed for our intimate girl’s retreat! It was so convenient to the airport, and just off a really sweet (and diverse!) strip of shops and markets. The home itself was the perfect set up with just what we needed, especially in the kitchen. Everything to cook besides the groceries, even the sweetest backyard to sit outside and eat in the sun! I believe the listing mentions that there is some plane noise due to how close it is to the airport but it was really not even noticeable most of the time, but the neighborhood is definitely lively so maybe bring earplugs if you’re extra sensitive to sound when you sleep! All around we were very happy and had a wonderful time.

We were on a girls trip to San Francisco and we decided to book this place as it looked great and seemed like in a safe area. I’m glad we booked it and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this place. Closely located to the airport and touristy locations in the San Francisco area with great views from inside and the outside of the house. Clean home with all the possible amenities. We enjoyed they had a pool table and a home theatre along with a piano in the basement. Very private and cosy house. I’d recommend booking them without a second thought

Jennifer was a great host! She was super responsive and proactive when we messaged her throughout our stay. Our pup loved the dog door to the yard and walks at Thornton (2 min drive). It was easy to get to the city (quick drive to BART or driving).

Joey place was great and clean, felt right at home. Its just a 10 min drive to Stanford which was great for us. Our kids also loved the place with cute front and back yard. They were able to enjoy beautiful flowers in the front yard. Neighbors were friendly and peaceful so it felt safe with kids. Joey was helpful and always responsive, being a great host overall.

We loved our stay here, it was so cozy and we felt right at home. For our first time staying at an airbnb it was amazing! Smooth check in process and smooth checking out. Would definitely stay here again.

The Airbnb was clean and comfortable for my family of four. The communication was good and we appreciated the owner allowing us early check in and late check out based on availability! Will recommend this to friends.

John’s place is the nicest airbnb that I’ve ever stayed in. We were 6 adults, coming together for a relaxing family holiday. John is a phenomenal host, kind, generous, and very helpful. His place is amazing. Hidden away so that it’s private and quiet, but filled with things to do. The gym is great, the pool is beautiful and the view is spectacular. The house has everything you need with comfy beds, nice bathrooms, a great kitchen and a lovely outdoor shower as a bonus! I can’t wait to stay again. Thanks for having us John!

EJ and Nancy have such a lovely property. We easily felt we had our own space. You can tell that they've been doing this for years, and have a great way of making everything comfortable for guests. Our two kids had space to spread out, the playground is not directly next to the front door of the apartment, but you can see it through the yard's trees & hear them more or less within ear shot. Kitchen was amply supplied and set up, & there are plenty of storage spaces and creature comforts to make the stay feel like home. Beds were comfortable & clean, super comfortable pillows. The unit itself doesn't get a ton of natural light, but to be expected in redwoods. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, we had a nice time chatting with them. Wonderful hosts, they felt like family. Their little dog is so so sweet and friendly as well, my kids loved the dog. Great location, easy to get to surrounding areas and Santa Cruz proper. Would return!

If you are looking for security, this is the place! The building is locked and the door to the room is very secure. The area feels very safe. Access to onsite amenities is a bonus. Coffee room with free coffee drinks, pool, spa, and BBQs available for use. A self-service Pet Spa if your pet needs a bath! You also have access to the on-site gym. Short drive to many restaurants in Palo Alto, Atherton, and Redwood City. There is limited non-assigned parking on-site. However, we were always able to get a space. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and WiFi worked well.

Absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to book again. It had everything we could need and more, just what we needed after a busy day exploring. Colleen was very responsive to any messages we sent. Would 100% recommend.

The apartment was clean, bright and open with plenty of space. There are many amenities to enjoy but during the COVID-19 pandemic most of these were closed. The pool at this time is open and we enjoyed it very much. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The bathrooms had deep soaking tubs and the kitchen was great for cooking gourmet meals.

Laura’s place is very nice and was exactly as described. I definitely would recommend to anyone who comes across her listing. Inside was very spacious, cozy, and clean. As a host, Laura is great. Laura was generous enough to let us check in early without hesitation and was very courteous and friendly. I would definitely stay again if the place is available next time I am in the area.

We were traveling with our 5 month old granddaughter and this rental perfectly met our needs in terms of location and convenience. A very nice Pack & Play was provided and the neighborhood was quiet. The property was clean and well stocked with necessities and many extra pantry items. The kitchen was great and the beds and furniture were comfortable. Petra, our host, was responsive, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting family in San Carlos.

Beautiful property! My husband and I had a "mini moon" here after our wedding in Saratoga, and had a very nice relaxing time together with our dog (who also loved the property). Other than the obvious reason we booked (beautiful outdoor space with multiple redwoods), we loved spacious king suite downstairs, soaking tub in the downstairs bathroom, and the cozy wood burning fireplace in the living room. We would definitely book with them again!

This place is awesome! Very clean and spacious. Its also close to the airport as well as a lot of the tourist attractions. Overall we really enjoy our stay.

The Night & Day Cabin is a gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt immersed in nature while still enjoying the comfort of a beautifully designed space. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated with beautiful wood work all around making it so unique. The bed was incredibly comfortable also. One of the highlights was the outdoor space it’s perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee or stargazing at night. The location is also fantastic secluded enough to feel private, yet close to great spots like downtown and the beach. Kristin was wonderful and so quick to answer any and all questions! Highly recommend!

Thanks for the stay! The bed was very comfortable, and the space was private and quiet. The room is quite large and nicely divided into the sleeping area, sitting area, and eating area. And parking on the street was aplenty.
