An amazing cabin, the best in the area. Wonderful views over the lookout, and the staff were so helpful bringing my bags down and making sure I had everything. You can even get room service to the cabin so if you want to lock yourself away, like I did, there’s really no need to leave! I hadn’t realised this was part of a larger chain of cabins/ hostel and restaurant, but that was a nice surprise because it really did add to the experience and made things much easier for me. Would recommend to anyone. Stay here.

Definitely, I want to go back, the cabin was super beautiful, clean, with a beautiful view, the fireplace ready to use, we really enjoyed the stay, the privacy, the ideal personalized service, the quality restaurant in the food and service.

Cabin La Vía Láctea is located less than 10 minutes from San Jose & access to the cabin was very easy from the road down a short path with a few steps. The neighbouring cabins were well placed below cabin La Via Láctea which gave a nice feeling of privacy. Check-in was flawless per the instructions. The kitchen had most everything needed to cook meals. Wifi was easy to connect & good. The only drawback was that we couldn't access hot water in the morning for a shower...the pilot was not lit & we couldn't light it. We were checking out early so we had no time to get help. It really didn't ruin our 1 night stay & I am certain that if we had the time to notify Areli it would have been remedied quickly. The fireplace was stocked with enough wood for the night & really kept the cabin toasty along with the warm blankets on the comfy beds. I forgot my charger & let Areli know; she had it waiting for me in San Jose. I highly recommend & will be booking there again! Gracias Areli❣

We stayed here for the holidays and it was perfect! It was close to everything, we did have a vehicle which made it convenient. One thing to note is that the cabin does have a steep hill from the parking lot but I we didn’t mind !! And would totally stay here again. On our last night we had the most beautiful sunset which you can appreciate from your patio. I can go on and on about this place and Aniceto was super helpful !! Recommended us great places, and was always available to answer any questions we had. 10/10 recommend! The restaurant that is in the hotel is also amazing!!!!!

Kolinda is a beautiful place to relax and get away from the hectic city. It’s ideal if you want to be connected to nature Fabi and his spouse are wonderful and kind people. The cabin is beautiful and well designed. You can walk down the river and just relax and feel Mother Nature. I will definitely be back to this beautiful place whenever I want to recharge myself!

Excellent cabin with the essentials to be in comfort. The forest is your neighbor and the cenzontles your alarm clock.

awesome place, everything was functioning and there was enough hot water to go around.

This place was exactly what I needed. It is a bit of a drive from the main road, but it was my intention to be somewhere peaceful and secluded. If you look through the images the last photo is a map of where it is for reference. We made sure to come fully stocked with food and water since it isnt that close to restaurants. The cabin is right next to the stream, and all you hear is the running water and birds singing. In addition to that the hosts were very attentive and polite. The best part of the whole trip was the little dog that lives on the property. I would like to come back just to visit him again. He was the first to greet us and the one to see us off. I think if you find a way to complain about this place, you’re missing the whole point.

The place is just as you can see in the photos, it was very nice and cozy, I would definitely stay at the cabin again.

Highly recommend! Easy walking distance from San Jose town, less than 10 minutes. Could walk with a backpack but there are plenty of taxis to take you the short distance up the road for only 20 pesos. Hosts extremely helpful and communicative. BRING ENOUGH CASH WITH YOU FOR THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR STAY! Nowhere in town really accepts card and there are no banks or ATMS so without cash you will be very stuck. We made this mistake but our hosts at Casa Elba were extremely helpful in solving the problem for us and liaising with local business who could help. Breakfast is provided daily and is filling and delicious. Room itself absolutely perfect, very cosy, private and with beautiful views.

We stayed here for two nights in San Jose del Pacifico and loved it - what a serene home after the city life in Oaxaca. The home is gorgeous and new, and your view of nature each day is delightful. The bed was crazy comfortable and we slept better here than we did during our entire 3 week trip in Mexico. Great place! Just be sure to have a good car - the last part of the road is a bit rough.
