Vacation rentals in San Francisco Sola

Just gorgeous. Ofelia's was a proper villa and we had an amazing time. The manager, Tere, was kind and gracious as well. Know that there is so much to do in the area, that the home is completely private, that you will have everything you need. If you run out of time to research the area, your host will help guide you.

I had spent the last few weeks in the city and the beaches which were great but also pretty hot and busy. I wanted a nice quiet place which was exactly what I got. It gets very cold at night, the fireplace is there but only goes for as much firewood is in it. So be comfortable starting and maintaining a fire. It’s in the middle of the woods and about 20 minutes to the town center. It’s very hilly so be ready to walk or take a moto taxi from the town center. We amazingly found the cabin on our first try but would imagine some might find it complicated with all the twists and turns and the last bit on the dirt road. The place is spectacularly beautiful in a nice quiet mountain setting.

This is a magical place- the view, kindness of the hosts, the cabin and fireplace- and the food is absolutely incredible. The 12 grain pancakes and the shakshuka were spot on for breakfast and the varied pasta offerings were delicious. Make sure you order dessert- we had the crème brûlée and pan a cotta. We felt so relaxed and welcomed staying here and want to return.

This place and the family that built and runs it are gems! The property is gorgeous and so close to many things that we wanted to see. We were two female travelers with two kids under two years old and it provided an excellent home base. The patio and space was perfectly set up for our needs to allow kids to roam and sleep. We also hired Fabian to drive us around and can’t speak more highly about him and his support. He is Mexican-American and absolutely fluent in both languages, loved playing with our girls and taught us so much about his home state and the building of this beautiful space by his entire family. I can’t speak more highly of the whole experience. We were so lucky to get to stay here!

Carla's house was kitted out very well with all of the kitchenware required for cooking and cleaning. Nice dining area and lots of space for relaxing etc. A very good property with all you need for both short and longer term stays. The house is a good size with two good bedrooms. The room we used had a comfortable bed and lots of space for clothes etc. Having the private pool was great. The pool is a good size and we used it every day. Carla's dad, Carlos (a really nice man) let us into the property made the offer of help if we needed it at anytime Located in a typical Mexican village where there is a good market in the centre of town and fantastic market on Thursdays (well worth a visit) We did't use the local shops and restaurants but everyday used the regular bus service (every 10 minutes and cost 10 Pesos) that gave excellent access to Oaxaca city and big supermarkets (the bus journey to central Oaxaca takes 35 to 40 minutes). Really great views, great space to be around nature and the fireplace is great. Ideal cabin in the woods getaway.

Omar's cabana is absolutely wonderful. A place to relax and watch the sunset and then cosy up by the fire later in the evening. Omar was so friendly and helpful.

This is a magical spot that grants you access to magical land and a magical town. Go with someone you love and sit beside the fire at night. Listen to the birds in the morning. Wander into town for tacos and tamales. Go see Casa Abuela for some grub and get a hug!
