Treehouse vacation rentals in San Carlos

AMAZING! One of our favorite places we have ever had the pleasure to stay at in Costa Rica and I have been coming to this beautiful country for a decade. The springs are fantastic and well maintained. the property is beautiful and has a great hiking trail loop. I got to see blue Jean strawberry dart frogs too! The treehouse is gorgeous, spacious and well equipped. The kitchen was great and the bed was comfortable. We loved it so much that we spent most of the day on the grounds after we checked out. the cherry on top was being greeted and having a chat with the wonderful owners. Kathy and Bernie and incredible people and I absolutely recommend this gem of a place!

David hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns die Unterkunft gezeigt. Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet und es ist die erste Unterkunft, die einen Kompost hat. Den Fitnessraum haben wir zwar nicht genutzt, aber auch er war sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuss vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Gegend ist ruhig und hat eine Dschungelatmosphäre. Die Kommunikation mit David war sehr gut. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und würden wiederkommen.

The cabin is beautifully designed, a hidden gem tucked away in the jungle. It felt private while being close to downtown monteverde and Santa Elena. Listening to the wind, rain and jungle sounds was incredibly peaceful. Being that it is in the jungle, there are bugs and the Wi-Fi is sometimes non-existent. That said, if you’re looking for a peaceful, cozy, and unique property with all the amenities and plenty of space, don’t hesitate to book!

This home is amazing! You feel like you are staying in a tree house! Way more beautiful than the pictures show! Peaceful yet close to everything too! 10/10!

Words do not exist to even begin to explain how truly incredible Andrea’s cabins are. Such a beautiful, private and relaxing oasis. Just far enough from civilization to be able to fully enjoy the peace and quiet that is in Valle Azul but also so conveniently close to many fun attractions nearby. Such as the Arenal Volcano & hot springs. Also close to Ciudad Quesada city. We could see tucans, iguanas & so many more beautiful animals from our very own balcony. We were also able to pick our very own fruits from the trees on the property! So delicious. To top it off Andrea was such an amazing host, always attentive to our needs whatever they may be. She responded to all of our messages and/or in person questions immediately. She gave us such great advice on where to go and what to do. Always kept up with all of our needs in the cabin. She truly went above and beyond for us & we will definitely be coming back!

This was the most peaceful and unique Airbnb we've ever stayed in. Tracey and her family were so welcoming and she was great with offering recommendations when we asked. Book this place if you have the chance!

We enjoyed our stay at the treehouse and got to see some wildlife while sitting on the deck. The kitchen was perfect for making a good breakfast before enjoying all the local activities.

Un bel endroit tranquille et sécuritaire. L’hôte répond rapidement aux messages et nous a bien guider pour que nous ne cherchions pas l’endroit. très propre et moderne. bien décoré avec gout. :-)

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in der Unterkunft! Die Wohnung war genauso wie beschrieben – sauber eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber, der jederzeit erreichbar war und bei Rückfragen oder kleinen Problemen unglaublich schnell und hilfsbereit reagiert hat. Diese Verlässlichkeit hat den Aufenthalt noch entspannter gemacht. Ich kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

We loved our stay at Monkey Choice, such an unique location and it felt so good for us to be more in nature! The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures, we would definitely recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for a more immersed nature experience, still with a lot of comfort.

We had a wonderful time here, and would highly recommend it. The listing is part of Sangregado Lodge, and is across the parking lot from Mistico Hanging Bridges, behind the guard gate. This allowed us to have easy access to the bridges first thing in the morning before they were crowded, and for the night tour. The only downside was that as the area gets crowded during the day, coming and going mid-day can take some time as the road gets congested. As for the room itself, the pictures do not do it justice! An entire wall is windows, which look out to a deck and beautiful hills, forest, and the Arenal volcano. We had Amazon parrots and other wildlife right outside our room - one night a mot mot even rested on our deck railing. There were screen doors, so we slept every night with the glass doors open and listened to sounds of the forest. Everything was very clean and well-kept. A special thanks to Francisco, who was so friendly and even tried to spot a rare bird for us. Thanks again!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt (2Nächte). Edwin ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Das Baumhaus ist traumhaft, man spürt die Liebe zum Detail, wir fühlte uns sehr wohl und die Nähe zur Natur ist atemberaubend. Wir hatten Glück und sahen einige Nasenbären, einer kam auf unser Dach und sagte uns am Morgen direkt Hallo;). Zudem sahen wir auch Affen und Agutis. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen, zudem ist sie sehr gut gelegen. Wir kommen wieder, danke Edwin.

This place was pretty cool, clean and quite. Esteban was a cool dude too, no English but his charades game was on point haha.

We had such a great time. Mau was responsive and attentive to all our needs/questions and was very welcoming when we arrived. An incredible location in nature. Such a cool experience. I do want everyone to know 4 wheel drive is crucial when traveling Costa Rica.

Absolutely loved our stay! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful from the start. When we had trouble finding the property, he met us right away and personally guided us in. He went above and beyond by helping us book activities and arrange transportation, and even shared some fantastic local food recommendations. The room had lots of amenities so we were comfortable. The location was perfect—within walking distance to several great restaurants and a store, which made everything super convenient. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
