We had a great stay here and Hapny was very responsive to our inquiries even if she isn't based in the country. We had a bit of issue landing at Sibayak Jetty because a local guy told us to get out at our stop and follow him eventhough it wasn't Sibayak Jetty. He had earlier hustled us for his tour services which we declined. We used Google maps to reach Hapny's place 1km away. The accommodation is very homely and private. It's very quiet and all you hear are the birds chirping and lapping of the lake. Occasionally you hear jet skis which is annoying. The home is nearby very good restaurants such as Jenny's, Marbun and Laster Jony which is just next door. Hapny's family - her mum, her brother (Bengbeng) and sister (Fanny) are all very helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.

An outdoor area features a spacious terrace flanked by brick columns, with a view of Lake Toba. Lush green grass is bordered by flowering plants, and a paved pathway leads down to the water. Large windows allow ample natural light into the warm-toned interior.

Villa PETRA with Lake Toba view n Hot Spring

The house is big, could facilitate a big family or a group of friends. We were 12 people in total and added 2 drivers. There is 5 rooms that we can use and also a big space in the living room with beds on the floor, so it’s good for a get-together session with everyone. The kitchen is clean, we used it a lot for cook even just stay for a night. The closest place to visit is just the hot spring, if you just need that and beautiful view, you won’t regret it. The owner’s family is very nice and helpful especially opung, we did a great time staying there even just for a night. Hopefully we can comeback soon.

We stayed with 13 people in the house with a beautifull view over the lake from the upstairs terras. Big, clean rooms with private bathroom. The facilities are more then enough; bbq, karaoke, badminton, compleet kichen downstairs, small one upstairs, upstairs livingroom with tv, wifi and only 150mtr from the ferry(5mnt walk). The owners are super friendly and helpfull. They have a book with touristinformation about Samosir, so you can plan some trips. Highly recommended!

It is the same, than the other Homestay, but we have around 10 rooms. Often one room with Airbnb is booked and than everything is blocked. for this we made here number 2. Everything is the same, than at the other one´s. You can make the booking here. At the one side we have a Batak farm runned by our mom at the other side we built a Guesthouse with a terrace Restaurant at our 500 year old Mango Forest. We invite you to our activities, like making Mango wine, Farming, etc or you enjoy the lake.

Christina Lake Toba Cat Garden

This was known as Lake Toba Cats Garden homestay where most of the guests that coming from all around the world love cats! Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we close the homestay. The good news is that on Feb 2025, we collaborate with Christina Guest House where we have 5 units with lake view and FREE WIFI. Uncle Bond would love to show you around Samosir Island :) Please note that the price is for one room only with a private bathroom. You can book another room on the spot :).

Family run guesthouse right on the lake

Horas! Aman's Guesthouse is a family run guesthouse in Tuktuk, Lake Toba. We have 7 recently refurbished rooms, all with on suite bathrooms. 4 are generously sized double rooms which have lake side views and hot water showers, 1 is small double room and 2 are singles, all with cold water showers. There is direct access to the lake from our property through the garden. We also have a restaurant on site. Come to Lake Toba and experience the legendary Batak hospitality!

We unfortunately did not get to stay at this place because we had a car break down on our way and do not make it. However, Haryati was so accomodating and helpful to us the whole time and offered to give us somewhere to stay later that day. Thank you so much for your help Haryati!
