A small coastal cottage roughly 5 min drive outside the harbour town of Saldanha. The cottage is private but connects to the side of our home. It is literally on the ocean with spectacular views of the bay and harbour boasting 3km of sandy beach, stretching in either direction. The bedrooms are north facing, catching mid day sun. The cottage falls with in a small private home owners estate, is secure and quaint and is perfect for those wanting to spend their days lazing on the beach.

Liaan's place was the perfect space for our family plus our dog to relax for a few days in the beautiful sunshine at Langabaan. It really was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and Liaan was flexible with arrival and check-out times which was much appreciated. Lovely outdoor areas to entertain in and the outside bunk room was perfect for the teenagers. Would love to return.

We had an amazing stay at The Beach House! The views were absolutely breathtaking, with the beach visible from almost every corner of the house. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to the fresh sea breeze made it such a relaxing getaway. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. It was also a big bonus that it’s pet-friendly—our dog loved having the space to roam, which isn’t always easy to find. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway with friends in this lovely St Helena Bay home. The space is beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The spacious kitchen and lounge with a huge fireplace were perfect for cozying up inside, while the big backyard—with a firepit and swing seat—was great for enjoying the outdoors with our dogs. We especially loved the indoor braai area with its large table, ideal for relaxed evenings with friends. The beds were super comfortable with soft linen, and the amazing selection of books was a real treat. Highly recommended!

Charming cottage with countryside views

Aloe Cottage is well situated, in a quiet neighbourhood at the eastern end of the village. The view, facing ESE, over the fields is lovely; I spent a lot of time on the stoep, reading. The cottage's location makes it easy to access all that Darling offers both in the village -- excellent restaurants, shops, galleries, Evita se Perron -- and in the surrounding area -- the area's many wine farms, the beaches at Yzerfontein, West Coast National Park and more. As well, the cottage has amenities that are especially helpful for a longer stay, as mine was. The kitchen is extremely well equipt and includes both a stove with an oven and a full-sized fridge, which is a huge plus for a long stay, as is a washing machine. The dishwasher was an added plus. Omnia, Paul's local contact person, was extremely helpful throughout my stay. Both she and Paul were proactive whenever a problem arose, as they inevitably will over a stay as long as mine. The very few problems were resolved quickly.

This property exceeded all expectations. Hosts were very responsive to questions beforehand and the house had all the amenities they promised. Despite being a large house and beautifully designed, it felt cosy and homely with a central living area that invited guests to spend time together. The kitchen had all facilities needed and enough cutlery and crockery not to have to frantically have to wash dishes after every meal. We even managed to bake a cake! Right on the beach, the children could play there within easy distance from the front porch without a supervising adult having to accompany them. The view was spectacular, the house well looked after and cleverly equipped for every guests' needs.
