I stayed at Sunada's place in Aozora Stay for 7 weeks, and it was lovely! The beautiful, peaceful nature all around is perfect for walking and enjoying the song of the birds. From the winter snowflakes and the unique Yoshi-yaki in early March (= controlled reed-burning in Fujioka), to the first flowering cherry blossoms — every day brought something wonderful again. What really makes this place special is Sunada itself. His good care, enthusiastic energy and warm personality make Aozora Stay a hidden gem. We also visited nice and tasty restaurants together. And with every day, the stay only got better, partly thanks to the nice encounters with other guests. A place to remember! I'm already looking forward to next time in Aozora Stay. 🩵💙🈳🙏🏼

The host is very friendly and has an amazing English, which helps a lot for communication. It is a true experience of Japan's countryside and literally minutes from an amazing promenade across the local landscapes. If I ever go in that region again, I will book there for sure. One must be careful when booking at Sunada-san place to plan their travel to there early, especially if they have wheeled luggage, because it is a remote place and the bus does not pass after a certain hour. Also, I recommend to bring your own food, because there is only a few places at walking distance where you can get some. Overall, this place is very charming both at the house and in the near environment. A must do? Go to Watarase no Sato Onsen which is at walking distance and enjoy the warm baths and delicious food!

Hotaka is a true philanthropist. She is an experienced hostess with a continuous stream of guests- yet she makes you feel special. Her place combines the peacefulness of rural Tokyo with easy access to congested inner city. She does not only share information and accomodate refractory diets( e g celiacs), she goes the extra mile. Like including you with family and friends, taking you to the local Sakura and even to a tea ceremony proper, a teaching facility in the neighbourhood. If your interest is Japanese culture, and you are accepted, this is the place to go.

Staying at Sunada was one of the best experiences I have had in Japan. The house is friendly, you meet people from all over the world. And Sunada takes us to discover good restaurants when he's not the one having a barbecue! Recommended if you want to experience the Japanese countryside!

Cozy room with sunshines. Maki has great communication and lets know anything there is the need of in advance. Nearby supermarkets are top, and location is great and quiet. Thank you for the easy and welcoming stay!

After the noise and chaos of central Tokyo, it was great to unwind in Saitama. The accomodation was perfect for solo travel, and had everything that was needed (I would like to highlight the excellent laundromat nearby). The host communicated perfectly and quickly, and was very accommodating to my panicked questions. Wonderful experience altogether.

The place is really convenient. Everything is available. It was very clean and smelled good. The only drawbacks are the stairs (especially when you have a large suitcase) and the emergency exit light if you sleep downstairs. An eye mask may be required. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet, the instructions clear and the market is too far :)

The room is tidy and offers several services such as toothbrushes, slippers, clothes, etc. If you're going to travel around, it might be a good choice The downside is that the bathroom or the house can feel small for two people. I think 1 person is enough space

I have stayed in a few places in Japan and this is one of the best for me in my opinion. Just a quick minute from the station and very convenient. The amenities provided are also much appareciated. I have not much to say but just wanted to thank Rainbow for the wonderful place on top of being a very good, attentive/responsive host. Comes the opportunity I will definitely come back here!
