Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Saint-Marcel-d'Ardèche

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Beautiful accommodation in a quiet area and surrounded by trees, perfect for families! Lots of amenities and storage for our comfort, you'll also find tourist documentation to manage your stay. We would recommend it without hesitation 🙂

We truly enjoyed our stay, a perfect location to unwind and immerse yourself in nature. It was a nice surprise to find so many animals: a horse, super cute dogs and a cat. The garden is beautiful, you can walk around, go down to the river, enjoy quietness and pure nature all around. The road to the location is also very nice - like a hidden path through nature. It’s definitely a place to come back to, with an amazing energy. Even two nights restore you fully and feels like you stayed much longer than this. Not to mention a stylish and tastefully decorated house. You can find all you need. Amazing both side terraces - to enjoy a morning sun and a sunset.

Very good stay at Les Granges-Gontardes! Malorie welcomed us very warmly and gave us good advice for activities to do nearby! We also enjoyed the little touches upon arrival. The place is tastefully renovated and the amenities delighted our 5 and 9 year olds (and parents)! Everything was great! The only downside, not attributable to the owners, is the village church very close that rings every hour from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

Many thanks to Claire who is a very friendly and caring host. She always makes sure guests have everything they need. She is very responsive and communication is fluid. Thanks also to David who made himself very available and responsive during the stay. The house is great and well maintained. It is well equipped for 12 and children are welcome with the games room and equipment available. The garden and swimming pool are very pleasant. Thanks to both of you, we had a great weekend.

Idyllic stay at Frédéric's. The house is full of charm, peaceful and very well-located. The village of Balazuc is superb, staying in the heart is a real + We took full advantage of the terrace (pleasant in the morning and evening). The Ardèche is below the village (with possible departure by canoe). Frédéric is very accommodating. Check-in and checkout were smooth. I highly recommend your place to stay

The four of us (with two children) spent one night in Philippe's apartment in transit. Everything was as described and we were able to recover very well for the onward journey.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is located in a quiet, peaceful location close to the city. The apartment is cozy with the necessities requested. Lots of places to visit in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, in the beautiful main village square, right in the centre of Uzès. It was peaceful, comfortable and the apartment was bright and cozy. It had a little outdoor balcony which was a nice bonus. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity of staying in this delightful place and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. What a nice cozy nest this pretty trailer is! We're lulled by birds chirping. The welcome from the owners is extraordinary and it's a pleasure to chat with them. A beautiful place 10 minutes from Uzes!

Great place to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets

Very charming cottages, we were seduced by the place which is very welcoming. The cottage is surrounded by horses which is nice for the kids. Thanks to Delphine and Matthieu for hosting us during our stay, we will definitely be coming back:)

Beautiful apartment tastefully decorated and recently renovated (air conditioning in the rooms which adds a real plus) Apartment ideally located in the middle of the countryside and cicadas. Absolute calm. Beautiful pool that we were able to use whenever we wanted. A special thanks to Bruno for his many tips :) Talk to you soon.

The place was very clean and well organized, exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the pool and outdoor area, perfect for relaxing. A great experience, I would recommend!

We had a super nice week in this beautiful holiday home. We were welcomed by the owners with the stove already on and some goodies on the table. The owners live next to the holiday accommodation and they will give you a warm welcome. There was also friendly contact during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of touches. Really a dream house with a large garden and views. It is very quietly located and you really feel at home. The village of Labeaume can be visited on foot, is a nice walk from the house. We also went to Avignon for a day, a short drive, but worth it. The Indy Park climbing park is also recommended. The bakery and a small supermarket are close by, in Ruoms you will find a large supermarket. There is plenty to do in the area. Dear Laure and Benoït, Thank you for the super nice week we were allowed to spend in your holiday home!

We loved the house, clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The village is charming and all the people we met were very friendly. We highly recommend it. In addition, the area is beautiful! We'll be happy to go back.

We had a wonderful week in Yves's house. It's a great slice of paradise. Beautiful and large swimming pool, on the beautiful river Cèze and an attractively furnished house made for a nice holiday with our friends. The pétanque made it complete! We were also very well received. In short, highly recommended!

Had a great 4-day stay in Orange. Myriam and Paschal were very thoughtful and responsive throughout the stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There were small touches upon arrival, really appreciable and full of delicacy. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos: spacious, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. A real favorite! I would highly recommend it.

Perfect vacation unfortunately over far too quickly. 5 stars for Cin and her little paradise. Cin was a perfect and sincere hostess who was always trying. The communication was great, quick answers, tips for the excursions and a very warm and welcoming reception with a small guest gift. We immediately felt at home. Quiet, great location, beautiful views and fantastic sunrises. A small additional bonus are the cats that always put a smile on our face. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!!
