Spacious, Stylish House with Private Courtyard near Shops, Cafes, Beach and Tram

Start the day with an al fresco breakfast in the private courtyard garden or bring the outside in and open the French doors off the kitchen, lounge or bedroom. Unwind on the comfortable sofa and enjoy Netflix or take a stroll to the nearby cafes, park or beach. "Aviary Walk" is located in Middle Park, one of Melbourne's best inner Melbourne, bayside suburbs. Packed with inner charm this three bedroom Victorian house with a post war, mid 1940's facade was completely refurbished in January 2016. It has been stunningly transformed by one of Melbourne’s leading Interior Designers. With an eye for detail, every item has been hand selected to complement this stylish home. It has been furnished with a collection of striking mid century modern furniture, artworks and artifacts. Superb, soft ambient light fills this house. The 12 feet high ceilings are impressive and give a real sense of spaciousness. The one level, open floor plan contains a large queen bedroom with built in wardrobes. The second queen bedroom with a charming fireplace opens onto a sunny private courtyard as do the living and dining rooms. The flexible third bedroom with light court provides extra accommodation with its sofa bed and a study area with its stylish desk. The courtyard has a barbeque and outdoor table that is perfect for el fresco dining and entertaining. For luxurious comfort the entire home has ducted air-conditioned for cooling in Summer and heating in Winter. A large screen Smart TV with Netflix and home theatre sound system is provided. The house comes complete with a European laundry, free wi-fi, shed with bikes and Myki public transport cards. We have tried to think of every luxury to accommodate your needs. This is an amazing property with a special feel. It’s the sort of place that you won’t want to leave. Free parking is right outside the door in the street with a choice of convenient public transport only a block away. You'll enjoy your own self-contained house. We reside just around the corner so we're usually on hand to assist your stay in any way we can. We'll share our local favourites like the penguins at St.Kilda Pier, where to feast on the finest food, buy bargains at the local shops, partake in almost any sport you could imagine or watch a sunset over the nearby beach or lake. We love Melbourne and Middle Park and have been living in the area for over 20 years. We want to make your stay memorable and have prepared a folder titled "Adventures Middle Park" with maps and information on the immediate area and all the great things to do in Melbourne depending on your tastes. Being so well positioned bikes are available to enjoy Melbourne's nearby tourist attractions from the many dedicated bike paths. If beaches and the surf are your thing we can provide accommodation with ocean views at Torquay, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road or at Melbourne's millionaire beach side getaway at Portsea. One of the city's premier bayside suburbs is home to period architecture and quiet, tree-lined streets. Cafes and restaurants pepper the neighbourhood, and the famous penguins at St Kilda pier and the swans at Albert Park Lake are a short walk away. CARS AND PARKING For drivers you can park on the street all day as there are no parking restrictions and there is always a handy parking spot right out front of the apartment. TAXIS AND UBER. There are always plenty of taxis in the area. If you need one call 1300TAXI. We recommend an App called Uber where you can request a taxi ride and can be picked up minutes later by an independent driver with users paying in advance by credit card. You can even keep track of the approaching ride via live mapping. It's a great service if you are prepared to pay competitive prices up front and want to avoid the ring around, queues and waiting. TRAMS Less than 4 kilometers from the city, Middle Park is well served by Melbourne's premier tourist route the No. 96 Light Rail or the No. 12 Tram. Both are only a two minute walk away and depart roughly every ten minutes with St.Kilda only 5 minutes away and the city 20 minutes. BIKES There are lots of safe bike paths in the area to get to the many nearby tourist attractions. We provide free bikes, helmets and bike locks. The bikes are provided at the users risk. Bookings well in advance are strongly advised. Special needs will be catered for by request. Check in: 2:00pm or as arranged. Check out: 11:00am or as arranged. After checkout luggage can be left at my house which is just around the corner.

Unique, Intimately Styled South Yarra Sanctuary

@__littlejourney__ Situated on Claremont Street, above South Yarra's most bustling cafe, Two Birds One Stone (type into web browser "broadsheet two birds one stone"). I guarantee you'll enjoy this perfectly positioned residence - The apartment is new and elegantly styled (OLY, Mezai, Coco Republic). It is a 1 bedroom with high ceilings on the 15th floor (there are 16 floors). It comes fully furnished with Sheridan linen (amazing flax linen is to die for) and fluffy Sheridan towels. An east facing corner apartment with Chapel Street and mountain views - no expense has been spared for you to enjoy this perfectly positioned residence. The apartment is just minutes walk away from an abundant mix of cafés and restaurants (see my guidebook for a comprehensive listing, otherwise I'll be sure to message you with a selection of cafes once your reservation is confirmed). I also adore the convenience of every single service (e.g. yoga, vegan cafe, supermarket (Western + Asian), dry cleaner, hairdressers, barbers, nail salons, banks, post office, bookshops and gift stores) - all right on your doorstep. The kitchen is equipped with Miele appliances, SMEG kettle, Royal Doulton cutlery and crockery, dishwasher and a dining table for 2. Rainshower in the bathroom. Aesop/Grwon Alchemist shower products. Diptyque candles. Bose iPod dock. Strong and fast unlimited WiFi. European laundry (with dryer). The outdoor area has a herb garden and BBQ, and is a super appropriate and gorgeous space for you to enjoy (see photos). The entire apartment leases at a rate of between $120 - $150 AUD per night (subject to seasonal variation) and can accommodate 2 people up to 6 people with additional bedding. This is the perfect apartment, suited to those seeking an above average stay - corporate professionals and discerning guests look no further! - South Yarra train station (5 minute walk) - CBD (7 minutes by train) - CBD (10 minutes by car) A car park is allocated for the duration of your stay (this is free). Additional bedding (one queen size airbed and one single size foam mattress can also be provided for additional guests, $35 charge per person per night). This is a well-positioned apartment, nestled away but still so close to all the action - it is perfect for either short or long stays. I welcome young (but mature folk), gay or lesbian, older folk, business folk, as well as overseas uni students and couples (my apartment is not for one night hook ups or just wanting a place to crash after partying over the weekend!). A short walk away is every kind of everything; Woolworths (5 mins), IGA (2 mins), Coles (15 mins), banks, pharmacy, yoga (10 mins), 24 hour gym (1 min), Botanical Gardens (15 mins), and so, so, so much more… If time permits I'm more then happy to share a tea or latte, or chai and my 7 years extensive knowledge of living in the SY area :) Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions – I'd be happy to help and will get back to you as soon as possible! My personal belongings are not in this apartment - this means plenty of wardrobe space for you, shelving, fridge space - the place should feel just like your own! *Cleaners will come through the apartment fortnightly if your stay is of the extended variety! *can also add a luxe experience to your stay for an additional $25 per trip :) little luxuries upgrade includes (to use) Chanel fragrances for him and her, Byredo fragrances, Diptyque fragrances, Aspar moisturiser, Aesop facial products (serums, moisturiser, eye cream), Chanel lip balm, Diptyque candles. Definitely a nice way to treat the lady in your life or just to treat yourself! I use these products and many others in my own home and they are all amazing! as a guest, you're welcome to the fridge and a fully stocked pantry. I love interacting with all my guests however much or little - don't hesitate to text, call or send me a message via Airbnb. I'm usually always very close by if you need me in the event of an (unlikely) emergency! South Yarra is a blend of fast and slow. The standard of living is high, the area is safe, and the food is excellent. Close to the CBD, the bay, and major shopping districts, it's perfect for living in true Melbourne style. 5 minute walk to South Yarra train station or tram on Toorak Rd, taking you direct into CBD. Car space available (free). preference for young couples from overseas / mature couples / business owners / professionals relocating or on long term contracts. I also provide myki cards to all my guests so you can get around on the trains, trams and buses hassle free. After that just leave the card behind before you leave! ***security deposit is paid only through Airbnb resolution process if you break / lose something in the apartment - it is not paid when you book***
