Beautiful Provençal farmhouse, between Gordes and Roussillon

The house was originally a shepherd’s barn that we renovated and extended over the years. While preserving the traditional local architecture, we chose a décor inspired by the countries where we have lived. You will therefore find pieces brought back from Egypt, Mexico, and other places around the world. With more than 7,000 m² of landscaped garden, the property offers several distinct areas, with lavender, fruit trees, and open views of the Luberon. Everyone can choose their favorite spot to take a nap to the sound of cicadas. Set away from the main streets, the house enjoys true peace and complete privacy, with no overlooking neighbors. A play area is also available for children. Inside, you will have a large living room with a fireplace for winter evenings, a spacious dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms each with a double bed and a private bathroom with toilet, as well as a children’s room with two bunk beds (four beds total) and a bathroom with a bathtub. All rooms are air-conditioned, although it is rarely necessary. Outside, everything is in place for enjoyable moments: a Weber gas barbecue, a large table for family meals or dinners with friends, several deckchairs, sun loungers, and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the sunshine or the shaded corners of the garden. The large bar in the pool house creates a particularly pleasant setting for evening drinks by the pool. The swimming pool measures 14 m x 4 m, is secured with an electric cover, and heated to 25 degrees, allowing you to swim comfortably from May to the end of September. Bed linen and towels are provided. A washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher are available for your use. For longer stays, a mid-stay cleaning is included each week. Rates vary depending on the season, and for longer stays in low season, we can adjust prices for medium-term rentals. The fiber-optic Wi-Fi connection makes it easy to work remotely while enjoying a peaceful, green environment.

The Maison Barbarenque in Provence is perched like an eagle's nest, on the Monts de Vaucluse, between Luberon and Mont Ventoux, from where you can contemplate vast horizons ranging from the Cévennes to a panorama of the Dentelles de Montmirail. This former 18th century sheepfold will seduce you with its atypical and bright layout. From the terrace you will have access to your private (unheated) swimming pool, its beach and its arbor. The view, sunsets and starry nights will amaze you.

Saint Didier is a pretty village in Vaucluse located between Mont Ventoux and Luberon 10 minutes from perched villages like Gordes, a short walk from Senanque Abbey.

Welcome to La Maison de Jeanne, our family home in the heart of the village of Saint-Didier, in the Vaucluse. Here, the pace slows down. Birdsong greets you as you wake. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny terrace and might even discover that our hens have laid the eggs for your breakfast. Kids love the henhouse, and parents love the calm. Then, just a short walk away, you can pick up bread, tomatoes for your salad, and grilled meats for lunch.

You are 20 minutes from Avignon, 1 hour from Nîmes, Arles, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. A wooded outdoor area welcomes you and you can enjoy the pool and a shaded terrace. We kindly ask that you clean the premises upon checkout. It is also forbidden to use this place for parties, I attach a lot of importance to this.
