At the gates of Tours, atypical accommodation for lovers of old stones. Studio on the ground floor of a detached house (the upper floor is not rented) with 3 beds (1 bed 140 and 1 bed 90), spacious kitchen area furnished and equipped with table and 6 chairs, sitting area with 2 armchairs and very nice fireplace (non-functional), large bathroom completely dug into the rock with bathtub and walk-in shower, separate toilet, private terrace with Jacuzzi from May to mid-September.

Troglodyte house, also called home cave, are typical of the Loire Valley. Even if it was for a long time a rustic place to live in, for poor people, we can now live there with a great confort, as you can see on photos and reviews. By occupying this place, you will live in the middle of a rock formed around 90 millions of years ago ! On closer inspection, you can even discover fossils of shells. Those places have also been used for winemaking of Vouvray (white wine).

The Rock House

Our house is very atypical because it is semi-troglodyte. There is a very common characteristic in troglodyte houses, it is humidity... it is due to the absorption of small amounts of water continuously. So you have to dehumidify the air and heat it all year round. There is a courtyard in front and a large private park on the heights to relax with a picnic table and deck chairs. The car can be parked nearby.
