Camillus was the best host during our short tour in Sri Lanka. He was the owner of the apartment and always willing to go that extra mile to make our stay memorable- tips on to do things, flexible on check in and out times and any requests never too much for Camillus. The apartment located on a hill with steep incline - we love the walk to Kandy Lake and back as it provided us a great way to burn excess calories from our dining experiences 😊. Turk Turks and Pick Me come straight upto the apartment so if you don’t want the walk, you have an option. We will surely stay at this place again when we visit Sri Lanka and we highly recommend for travellers as Camillus offer 1, 2 or even 3 bed room apartments.

We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Its location in the forest created an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the housekeeper was a true gem — always nearby and ready to help, yet absolutely unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi, but even that helped us disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily come back again!

Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

A beautiful house with a spectacular view. Upul is an artist who has spent many years of his life in Denmark. His house shows his mix of Sri Lankan and Europe: large windows and open breezy spaces mixed with traditional building. We felt so comfortable and relaxed in such an interesting and well-designed space. We drank our morning coffee watching the sun come up over the hills. A wonderful memory. Thank you, Upul, for such a nice memory of Kandy.

I travelled here in a group of 5 guys. Absolute gem of a place 10min away from Kandy lake. View of the hills from this place is amazing. Will need a private vehicle to commute from here but thats not much of a drawback. Last but not the least the hosts were very sweet and charming(Hiroshans mom and dad) . They made us feel at home and treated us like own family members including providing us breakfast and dinner and also refused to accept any charges. Don’t have to say the food was delicious. This will definitely be my go to place whenever in Kandy.

It was a wonderful stay. The view from the roof was excellent. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the stay. I would like to strongly recommend the place. Everything worked nicely at the end. There is a nice kitchen and four bedrooms. A man stays there and he tried his best to help us, but he cannot speak or understand English. To write an honest review I would like to mention what I don't like too. Host gave me number of Sashi,. He requested me to call him after leaving Punnawala, after reaching near Kandy and after reaching the property. I don't understand why do I need to call him so many times, when is not going to come at all. Certain things like wifi and TV in first floor was not working. Sashi told that some one name Shyam will come within few minutes. He eventually came after 5 hours after a few calls. He was of great support and solved all the minor issues. Now the caretaker and Shyam do not understand that people may need privacy. They were freely moving in the first floor.

Sampath's place was the perfect starting point for our Sri Lanka trip. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, and everything we needed was taken care of. My family, including my kid and parents, loved it there. The caretakers, were incredibly friendly and great hosts. The food she cooked for us was also really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

We felt very comfortable from the first minute we felt very comfortable from the first minute in this comfortable, large and tastefully furnished house. It is located at the end of a quiet side street with a great view across the valley and river to the mountains. Sakunthala greeted us super nicely and went above and beyond to make us feel well received. She is also a good cook who served us the best food. Also the homeowners Aude and Ariyam, whom we were able to get to know later, are very nice and were always eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing we regret is that we only booked for three days and then had to travel on. We'd love to come again. Thank you for everything! Katharina

Amazing surroundings! Super responsive caretaker! Out of the world food! The warmth of the host more than compensates for the cold weather!

It is really amazing relaxing place far from noisy road. The room with full-length windows is amazing! View of the jungle and rice field. Also the room was clean and all we need was there. Pool is nice! The host Sakula is very attentive and caring! You can contact him with any questions. He is also interesting person to talk with. His family and staff are very kind too! So we felt like home! I would like to recommend Sakula’s place everybody!

Grand Hills is a fitting name for a villa with amazing views of the surrounding hills and Kandy area. Don's team at the villa were helpful and (especially Mr Chaminda); we were given local recommendations and they were very responsive to any requests or questions. The villa is a good size - our extended family had plenty of space and most rooms have a private balcony. The children enjoyed watching the monkeys on the roof in the morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and we were able to walk to the neighbouring resort for lunch and dinner. Pool was pristine.

We had a great time! The villa is beautiful, very well maintained, and its location is ideal for discovering the surroundings. The staff is incredibly kind, always available and helpful. The only thing to improve is the pool: multiple tiles are sharp, which can be dangerous. It might be a good idea to empty it to redo the seals and replace the defective tiles. Other than that, everything was perfect. We'll be happy to go back!

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. Amazing place! A running tea plantation from the 1900s, located 1hr away from Kandy. Great base to explore the tea region.

Our family stay at Dinithi's place was exceptional. It's tranquil location and immaculate maintenance made it an ideal escape. The place was beautiful! Had everything we needed for the whole month stay. It was very clean and tidy and was exactly like in pictures shown in Airbnb. The location was perfect and convenient to all shops/Kandy town and in a well secured area. The host Dinithi was amazing! Their family was so helpful and kind, felt like we stay with our own family. They were definitely the highlight to our already outstanding stay!! We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

Lakmal and wife are great friendly hosts. Their house is very clean and has a very natural view of the mountain. I highly recommend his place for anyone who is interested in visiting Kandy.

Surangi's place is a wonderful spacious independent accomodation which is easy to find. It is on the first floor with personal entrance. there is a great deal of privacy, coziness and comfort. it is a remarkable place if you are travelling with your family. comes with all necessary amenities. Surangi is an excellent host. always cooperative and took great care during the stay. go for it.

the location is superb in terms of views, tranquility and away from traffic and commotions. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the desired amenities as well. There was a spare room available which was used by the driver. The kitchen had most of the amenities but not much of stock in terms of food grains or eggs which you have to have beforehand. Kandy town is 14 km away. Otherwise it was a pleasant and refreshing stay. wish we had more days to spend here. Also the main bedroom has a breathtaking view. In short loved it. Had some trouble finding the place initially as the address given by Airbnb and that by the host separately did not match.

Second time staying here. Peaceful and mind relaxing as always.

Location is really good, you ll have a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking views. House is really nice and clean. Staff members are really friendly. They communicate well and they can cook 👨‍🍳 well. If you want to use the pool please let them know early, pool is having fresh water from mountains. If you have a driver, he/she can have their own drivers unit at the back of the house. Rooms are really good and all the rooms have attached bathrooms. This place is good for 8 people. We will be back again ☺️🤩🎉
