Named after a local deity NAL DEO, Naldhera was among the famous spots of Lord Curzon, erstwhile viceroy of India during British Raj. Naldhera's naturally plain fields amidst mountains were perfect for a playfield and in 1905 it was carve into a 9 hole golf course. It is one of the only few Golf courses set up at such a high altitude. Later it was expanded into an 18 hole course and development work is underway to make it a world class gold course.
For those who are not into golfing and take advantage of horse rides and enjoy the view of satluj river through pine trees.
Personally, I have many wonderful childhood memories from Naldhera Golf course and I visit whenever i get a chance.

The club is associated with Portland ice skating club of USA and is the place to be in the winter season.

During his journey, Lord Hanuman met Yaksha Rishi who was meditating on Jakhoo Hill and guided him in the right direction to get the herbs. Since then this spot on the hill is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. At present site there is also a 108 ft. statue dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
This temple is a must visit for spiritually inclined.

Lord Shiva is referred to as Mahasu by locals. A temple dedicated to him is located approximately 11km from our property. If you visit in May, you can also attend Mahasu Jatar - the annual festival.

This indoor roller skating rink located in lakkar bazaar was my favorite childhood spot. I encourage you to give it a try and I'm sure you will have a great time too.

Reserve forest sanctuary is one of the largest watersheds of Asia. You can either take the 7 km trail to the forest bungalow or the shorter 3.5 km trail to reservoir and enjoy the views, fresh smell of cedar, pine and oak, and plenty of solace.

Chadwick Falls is located in the Glen Forests of the beautiful city of Shimla. This stream of water trickles from a height of about 100 metres. Some explorers recall a walk through the forest as an adventurous experience because of the damp and dark environment created by the thick canopying forest.
The name Chadwick is derived from 'Chidku Jhaar' where 'Chidku' means sparrow and 'Jhaar' means waterfall in the local language. It was named so because the locals thought only sparrows could reach the top of the waterfall and not humans. The Britishers found it difficult to pronounce this name and hence started calling the waterfall Chadwick.

Some explorers recall a walk through the forest as an adventurous experience because of the damp and dark environment created by the thick canopying forest.

When the Britishers were laying Kalka-Shimla rail, under the supervision of Colonel Barog, they hit a major hurdle where they were unable to align tunnels that was being dug from both sides. The British Government fined colonel Barog Rs. 1 for wasting government property and resources and to avoid further humiliation Col. Barog committed suicide. Baba Bhalku, a local villager, with his intuitive techniques helped the team align that specific tunnel and many others soon after. As of today the tunnel is named after Col. Barog and Kalka-Shimla railway is a UNESCO world heritage site. In 2001 a museum dedicated to Railways and works of Baba Bhalku was inaugurated.
