  • We had a great stay at Grahams at the weekend. It's conveniently located for Shrewsbury and we were able to walk into the centre for the evening. He organised a really efficient check-in process and the little apartment is spotless, stylish and has everything you might need. It's quite likely we'll ask to stay again next time we visit Shrewsbury!

  • It was a great experience in Claudia’s fantastic place. The apartment is clean, quiet and convenient. Claudia was so nice to talk and gave us a lot of advices about the stay. We will come back for sure.

  • The first thing I thought when I saw the flat was "I wish we were staying longer" It is a great space and the whole place is sparkling clean. The bathroom and kitchen are especially lovely. The location is fantastic - right in the centre of Shrewsbury so everything is right on the doorstep. If we go back to Shrewsbury again this will be one of the first Airbnb properties we will be checking for availability.

    Kathryn2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is brilliantly central for Shrewsbury. Everywhere was a really easy walk. We drove across the river and parked on a quiet residential street so didn’t have to pay for parking. Plenty of space in the flat. Wi-fi was good Bed was comfy. Bathroom small but perfectly formed. Finding tea, coffee and sugar when we arrived was really helpful. We just had to pop out for a pint of milk and we were all set. Key pick up was easy. Sue met us at exactly the right time, exactly where expected and showed us how everything worked. Key drop off was simple too. If you’re eating out, The Olive Tree - 5 minute walk over the river - was absolutely brilliant with great cocktails, lovely tapas and a sun trap outdoor space with blankets and shade. Lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

  • A fantastic place to relax with everything you need, great space with fantastic facilities.

    Adam2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at The Granary! The whole experience was so easy and so relaxing. From the lovely accommodation, to the huge book of tips for the local area and information we might need, the whole trip was just perfect. The spa was so relaxing, and it was amazing to be able to go for a swim everyday. It wasn't busy at all, and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, managing to share it with the other guests on site. The location is perfect, and only 20 minutes outside of Shrewsbury. We will definitely be back again!

    Ellen2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a spectacular rural setting, close to many attractions. The on-site spa is a wonderful extra. Rachel could not have been more hospitable, the cottage and its contents were spotless and everything necessary was provided. The whole experience was a model of how great airbnb can be at its best. Just one note: the Granary (one of the three cottages on site) is up a steep flight of outdoor steps and would be difficult for anyone mobility impaired.

  • Sam’s place is a lovely, comfortable, clean and stylish double room with private entrance, private bathroom and private parking in the idyllic location of a small village close to beautiful Shrewsbury. It’s ideal for anybody visiting friends or family or holidaying in the area who don’t need a kitchen/living space but would like the privacy of their own entrance. The place was wonderful for our short two-night stay over New Year’s Eve. We drove to North Wales for hiking and visited friends for NYE in Shrewsbury. The location was perfect. We appreciated the Christmas decorations, generous tea & coffee supplies, cosy central heating, comfortable bed and quiet, private setting via the back courtyard of Sam’s cottage. Sam’s directions and communications were also clear, accurate and timely! Highly recommended.

    Jodie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • Lesley and Ed’s place was perfect for us. The cottage is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Lesley, Ed and Bill are super friendly and we loved the fresh eggs. Our kids had a great time, there is huge garden with the secret tree house ...

    Heidi2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Oak cottage, which exceeded our expectations. The cottage was extremely clean, spacious and well equipped. The children thoroughly enjoyed the vast space outside to run around and play, including playing hide and seek in the enclosed woodland and finding the hidden tree house. Thank you to Ed and Lesley and Bill and Janice who had thought of everything, including providing some outdoor game equipment for the children. They were on hand to help with any queries we had and happily helped to fix our car when we found we had a flat tyre one morning! The wi-fi wasn't working very well when we were there but we were assured that it was about to be upgraded. We would definitely recommend Newton Meadows Cottages.

The flat is recently renovated to a high standard and well equipped. Highly recommended.

There is a box full of DVDs in the lounge, plus magazines and local information leaftets. We really appreciated some thoughtful touches, such as the fresh flowers, wine, milk and cake. • If you choose to stay at The Coach House you are in for a real treat and will probably not want to leave (we didn't). It is the most stylish and beautiful space with everything that you could possibly want. It's warm and cosy and well equipped, with beautifully comfortable beds. It's been recently renovated to a very high standard, and offers five star accommodation. Lucy is a warm, friendly and generous host and I can't recommend this place highly enough.

  • Stayed here for second time and highly recommend it. It's a good base - you can walk down to town in 20 minutes, or get out into the countryside quickly. The place itself is very comfortable and pleasant, and host Lucy is great.

Secluded by trees, this privacy makes this glamping experience very popular with our guests. It has all the facilities for visitors to enjoy the outdoors. Our four acre Smallholding is peaceful and away from traffic noise. It is suitable for those who want a break from everyday life , maybe eat out locally and explore the beauty of Shropshire. It has all the possibilities for a unique camping activity, BBQ cooking, relaxing by a campfire, enjoying your own food and wine , maybe staying up late to watch the stars and getting back to nature, in a private setting. The nearby working smallholding is organic, off grid and selfsuficient in meat and veg. This interesting and inspiring site also has a vintage air stream caravan(1970) a show wagon (1947) and a craft hut built as a shepherds hut. Roz's Craft hut is popular with guests who have a similar inclination and you may book a craft session on arrival. • This place if just amazing. Even better than in photos. It is a beautiful, hidden and secluded area tucked away, it is out in the country side and you cannot hear cars or the hustle and bustle of the city life. The hosts are super welcoming and homely, they are more than happy to help you when ever you need anything but still give you peace and quiet, they are not intrusive. You need to see what they have done to create their perfect small holding. There is lots of wildlife so you will never feel alone. I cannot recommend this place enough, i would strongly suggest weekend away here for anyone. Thank you so much Roz & Phil!!!!

  • Ros and Phil have the most lovely place with each accommodation as quirky and amazing as the next. Communication was effective and they were very willing to answer any questions we had. Check in was easy as we were greeted by Ros and Phil at the gate. They gave us a tour and showed us to our area. My partner and I stayed in the gypsy caravan, which was really well kept and had clean sheets and pillows for us. The kitchen hut was fab and was where we spent most of our time (due to the rain). It was eqipped with literally everything we could have possibly needed and even a few games. The area was secluded and we had our own toilet and shower, which was amazing as you could still see outside when showering. We loved every minute of our stay despite the awful weather. Thanks again Ros and Phil, no doubt you'll see us again next year. Jane and Chris

  • Fully recommend this place. It is beautiful, unique and the hosts are lovely.

    Joshus2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place. The gypsy caravan is so gorgeous and the site is really secluded. The eggs they gave us were delicious too ! Totally recommend

    Meg2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Roslyn and Phil were the best hosts! They welcomed us and kindly waited for us, who were a bit later than the usual check-in time. We loved the place...peaceful, in nature and romantic! We enjoyed the company of hens, guinea fowl, a little mouse and squirrels...a bit like in a fairy tale. Other guests were present on-site, but far enough to have our privacy. We would love to be back there!

    Giorgia2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • From start to end, amazing hosts, cutest place, tranquility at is finest, in a lovely country side, surrounded by wildlife and nature's beauty. Couldnt ask for better

    Lorian2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you want peace and quiet and to be 'away from it all' then this is the place for you. We very much enjoyed the eccentricity of this set up and being off-grid. It won't be for everyone but it suited us perfectly. (Although there were excellent facilities for preparing your own food we decided to eat out at The Dickin Arms at Loppington about 5 mins away (not the one in Wem). The food was superb.)

    Chris2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The gypsy wagon is absolutely adorable, it rained for almost our entire stay and we still had a wonderful time playing boggle, eating hot food and having wine by the fire in the kitchen area. We loved having the voles to keep us company too! Bring a duvet and blankets as it can get a bit cold in the mornings but we were warm and comfy, we slept really well. The whole site is beautiful and we were so impressed with all of Roz and Phil’s work!

My place is close to the town centre, railway station and bus station. You’ll love my place because of the large comfy bed, you have your own space and it's great value. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. See our other listings - we also have a single bed and a double bed in our house listed on Airbnb, so can accommodate larger groups.
This is a 2 berth touring caravan which is parked in the front garden of our house. It has a large and comfortable double bed, wardrobe and cupboard space and cooking facilities in the form of a microwave and hob. There is heating and electric lighting, a kettle and toaster. There is a chemical toilet, for night time emergencies, and guests are welcome to use the bathroom, shower and toilet in the house. There is wireless fibre broadband available to guests at no extra charge. There is off road parking in the driveway. The house stands near a main road, so guests must be aware that there is some traffic noise, especially in the morning. This is not the Ritz, so is relatively basic accommodation, however this is reflected in the price.
The house is about 20 minutes walk from the town centre, 15 minutes walk from the station, and on a regular bus route to both. There is the Dolphin Inn, a great local pub, about 5 minutes walk away, where they serve real ales and a good range of food. There is a corner shop (One Stop) about 5 minutes away, a Tesco Express about 8 minutes away and a large supermarket (Morrisons) about 15 - 20 minutes on foot. We are also within a 5 minute walk of three Chinese takeaways, an Indian takeaway, a chip shop & a Pizza Hut takeaway. We are also very close to Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, the first iron framed building in the world. This has a Visitors Centre, which is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm from March to October. It's well worth a visit!
  • Good value for money. Easy going and free. Close enough to walk to town in ten to fifteen minutes. Private caravan is cool. If you are sensitive to traffic be aware it is on main road. Didn't bother me too much though.

    Neil2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what it says on the tin. Cosy little space in the front garden. I was there during the worst storms and in years. So it was noisy at times which is completely to be expected but was always, warm dry and cosy. A pleasant week’s stay in a quirky vintage caravan. Richard explain everything in a v friendly manner and was always at hand even though I didn’t really need it! would definitely stay again if visiting Shrewsbury again!

    Craig2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and great hosts

    Jan2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a very welcoming and accommodating, even when I turned up later than I anticipated. The caravan is what it is, but is very clean and warm, toilet facilities are ok, I didn’t make use of the facilities in Richards home so can’t comment on these. But I would definitely use Richard’s place again.

This charming little terrace house , is situated on the banks of the river Severn loop, which is only a few minutes walk from the beautiful town centre of Shrewsbury. I recently redecorated, creating a home from home feel sharing some of my art and pieces from our travels around the world. Coleham has a village feel, which is well catered with local cafe's, butchers, pubs and a convenience store all 100 yards away. I live next door and am available should you need any help during your stay.
the 'Annex' (home) has two bedrooms and bathrooms (one shower, one bath) and a comfortable lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to self cater. We have built a small deck that you access through the rear french doors and enjoy an impeded river view.
Our favourite coffee shop is called House which does great food and coffee, run by some neighbours. There is selection of pubs with Cross Foxes being a classic local pub.
  • Great location and really did feel like a home from home, lots of lovely touches, many books and lovely blankets to wrap up in, all the essentials in the fridge/kitchen. Very quiet and relaxing and literally minutes to walk into the town. We found a parking space in a crescent about a minute away and the area has a lovely village feel with a few shops and cafes and pub on the doorstep. Can’t fault it, will be back!

  • Great location near the main centre but still nice and quiet. The house is cosy with nice touches like games books and a stocked fridge.

    Joanna2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely compact house with all I needed: comfortable bed, good space to work, well-equipped kitchen and really thoughtful supplies in the fridge on arrival. And the view over the river first thing in the morning - beautiful.

    Steven2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for my parents and since they've come home all they've talked about is how lovely and homely this place is! The view from their window was beautiful and only a short walk into the city centre. They really could not fault it and would love to go back and book The Annex again 😊

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house, lovely view. Home from home. There's no coffee maker, no TV and no parking, which might be relevant to some people (in case you want to bring alternatives). The nearest shop is a Spar (so you might want to stop at a proper supermarket en route). The beds are very comfy, the living room is really cosy, the decor is tasteful, the river views are lush and the place is perfectly located for walking beside the river and into town.

The perfect romantic retreat! You’ll love my apartment because of it's beautiful, restful, is in a great location, has a comfy bed, gorgeous high ceilings, light and airy sash windows, and a garden for relaxing. Free parking on site for one car - rare in Shrewsbury - and for Airbnb guests only! NB: no TV, but WiFi streams beautifully.
There’s a peaceful quality to Church Apartment that makes it every inch the sophisticated bolthole for two, yet it’s within easy walk from the picturesque centre of Shrewsbury. See the sights and enjoy the shopping, then relax and put your feet up on the huge sofa in the open plan living, kitchen and dining area, before falling asleep in the glamorous, comfortable bed.
The county town of Shropshire, Shrewsbury’s an historic market town set on the banks of the river Severn. Lined with wattle and daub buildings that tell the tale of its history, the town’s a favourite with foodies, shoppers and those in search of some true time out. Church Flat is just a short walk over the Welsh Bridge away from town, and within a stone's throw of Theatre Severn. There are pubs, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep.
  • Church Apartment is a well-located, beautifully styled with good information supplied by Suzanne. The area is very quiet and it’s only a short walk to the centre of town. The apartment is thoughtfully appointed and there are so many lovely touches to make our stay memorable and very comfortable.

  • Church Apartment is a well-appointed studio flat in close proximity to the town centre. If you're attending an event at University Centre Shrewsbury as we were, it is literally just down the road. Suzanne was a helpful and responsive host, and we enjoyed our stay.

    Harriet2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne's flat is beautiful. It's quiet and peaceful and it has quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. It is well equipped for a short stay and communication for any additional needs or questions is easy. The flat is just a short walk into the lovely town of Shrewsbury. I would thoroughly recommend this flat.

  • A quiet and relaxing apartment a short walk from the Welsh Bridge to all the shops and restaurants in Shrewsbury. Plenty of room for two persons, kitchen area has everything you would need. Ideal not having a TV as we used our kindles. The bathroom was quite small but fine for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the chandeliers.

    Angela2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • church Flat is such a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect, just a pleasant walk to town. The accommodation has everything you could wish for. The decor is a feast for the eyes, well thought out. Everything fits and doesn't feel overcrowded. Suzanne really goes the extra mile to make her guests feel comfortable. The only problem I had was, even though I entered the alternate post code as recommended my sat nav is set for the shortest route so depending on what direction you arrive in Shrewsbury it may not work. I still ended up the wrong side of the bollards!

    Debbie2019-02-25T00:00:00Z

  • Great communication and the cottage is nicely set out. Nice setting, ideal for exploring the area. Great for the dogs to.

    Darryl2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Piggery Cottage was ideal for our short stay. My one concern was warmth, but the little heaters worked really well and we were as warm as toast. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen provided all we needed for a simple meal. The shower cubicle is a generous size and the electric shower was perfectly adequate. Connecting to wifi was straightforward and worked well to stream music and also Netflix via a FireStick. So all in all it was a little home from home and very relaxing. We didn't meet Hilary but the key arrangements were seamless and we had plenty of privacy given that the cottage is adjacent to the owner's house. We visited Ironbridge and took a bit of a road trip as far as Snowdonia. A very good base for a very wide area, no shortage of scenery and places of interest. The nice touches such as bread, butter etc etc have often been mentioned, but we also appreciated other "basics" that are often lacking in cottages, such as washing up liquid, loo cleaner, sufficient loo roll and shower gel. We would definitely stay here again, many thanks Hilary.

Lovely Victorian terraced house with 3 double bedrooms. This house is in a fantastic location just 5 minutes walk from the iconic and bustling Shrewsbury Town Centre. The property has the benefit of two off-road parking spaces in an untarmacked parking lot behind the property.
The house is set on the delightfully named Primrose Terrace and comprises of a deceptively spacious layout with the ground floor consisting of a down stairs sitting room (with a large 3 seater sofa and large comfy armchair and fully setup Smart TV for relaxing after a long days shopping or exploring the sights of Shrewsbury), a fully fitted kitchen which also includes a table and with 4 chairs for dining, a down stairs toilet/utility space which includes a washing machine that can be used at your convenience. The kitchen has an old style stable door which leads out to the small neatly kept garden, from there the garden leads to an untarmacked parking lot which is shared by the terrace, the property has two spaces available, there is also on street parking available directly opposite the property. The 1st floor is made up of a large bathroom with a very generously sized bath tub with taps in the middle (perfect for sharing!) and separate shower and feature fireplace, also on this floor are 2 double bedrooms both with feature fireplaces and built in wardrobe spaces. Last but not least the converted loft space is home to the consist of the third and largest bedroom.
Although technically just outside of the town centre the house is located a quick 5 minute walk away for all that Shrewsbury has to offer. From the bustling shopping arcades and the lively market hall, to the vast choice of pubs and restaurants the town has to offer.

The house has been designed to passive house principles and is therefore comfortable and warm. It has all amenities necessary for a stay away from home.
The Sweet Shop is a very contemporary space which has been beautifully designed to include everything for modern living with no waste of space but yet has a light and airy feel to the place. The house is always warm and dry due the the PassiveHaus principle which maintains a continuous comfortable temperature. the windows are all triple glazed so noise from the outside is at a minimum. it is situated within walking distance from Shrewsbury which is a vibrant, interesting and attractive county town - with abundant culture, restaurants and pubs. There are lovely walks along the river Severn through the quarry (riverside park) and only 20 minutes to the fantastic Shropshire Hills where you can walk forever into Wales if you so wish!
The neighbourhood is friendly, there is a pub just a few doors up the road, and a short walk down to a local centre- Longden Coleham where there are coffee shops. House is a great coffee venue and they have also just opened a grocery store called The Allotment - for any basics plus fruit and veg you might need. From there it is about another 10minues walk into the main town - over Greyfriars foot bridge and up Wyle Cop. All very do-able. I have left info on good places to eat etc in the property information. Shrewsbury has great river walks along the Severn plus access to fantastic countryside around the Shropshire Hills.

My place is close to the town centre, railway station and bus station. You’ll love my place because of the large comfy bed, you have your own space and it's great value. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business traveller. See our other listings - we also have a double bed in the house and a second in a caravan listed on Airbnb, so can accommodate larger groups.
This is a single bedroom on the first floor of our private house. It has a comfortable bed, wardrobe and cupboard space and cooking facilities in the shared kitchen downstairs. There is heating and electric lighting and a kettle with tea & coffee provided. Guests are welcome to use the bathroom, shower and toilet in the house. There is wireless fibre broadband available to guests at no extra charge. There is off road parking in the driveway. The house stands near a main road, so guests must be aware that there is some traffic noise, especially in the morning.
Richard’s home is located in Shropshire, England, United Kingdom. The house is about 20 minutes walk from the town centre, 15 minutes walk from the station, and on a regular bus route to both. There is the Dolphin Inn, a great local pub, about 5 minutes walk away, where they serve real ales and a good range of food and have occasional music nights.

Cosy and comfortable cottage in the heart of Ellesmere. Plenty of character with the original part of the building dating back to the late 1700's but with all the modern amenities you could wish for. Beautiful surroundings with Mere and canal walks close by. Ellesmere has pubs, eateries and independent shops as well as being served by supermarkets to cater to all your needs. Shrewsbury, Chester and glorious North Wales are all within easy driving distance.
A real home from home, Apple Tree Cottage will be entirely yours for your stay. A welcome pack is provided of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits along with some other useful items and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cater for yourselves. There is a washer/dryer for your convenience and if you are staying longer than a week, fresh bedding and towels will be provided. One parking space at the bottom of the garden but there is a public car park very near with very cheap rates.
Ellesmere has the largest mere outside of the Lake District with many others locally. Moscow Island on The Mere is a famous breeding place for Herons. The Shropshire Union and Llangollen canals also provide wonderful walks and cycling opportunities. The cottage is a stone's throw from the historic White Hart Inn. The Boathouse restaurant and cafe at The Mere is perfect for lunch or just a coffee overlooking the water.
  • Lovely cottage in a wonderful location, close to couple pubs, shops and the Mere. Super comfy beds, and extra touches with the food essentials to start us off was very nice. We would definitely stop again Would Highly recommend

  • Great stay at Beverley’s. The place was warm and cosy and had great added touches like blankets and essentials. All very clean and tidy and plenty of space for all of the stuff we brought along. Comfy beds and good sheets, all seemed lovely quality. She left the heating and a light on for us for arrival which was perfect. Really quick communication as I had left it a little last minute for a few things. I would definitely stay here again, we all had a great stay.

  • Amazing place to stay and had a really relaxing time for 10days. The area is really friendly and everything you need. Beverley is very helpful and she added little touches to the place that makes it special.... flowers, tea, coffee, new soap, bread, butter etc... It's also nice to see that owners aren't using the cheapest things to fill the house but treat it as if they are living there, that's what Beverley has done. Outstanding. Thank you again, I will definitely stay again and reccomend!!

    Tina2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beverley has a beautiful cottage and she has very thoughtful touches through the nicely decorated cottage. AwesoMe location and perfect for a quaint stay in the country side! She has everything one needs for a home stay and I have to say plenty more! Can opener and slow cooker are some examples! She put up a Christmas tree for the kids as we stayed through the eve and Santa came through the chimney!!! Beverley, you are a wonderful person and I would stay with you again when we are in Shropshire !

We are situated in the picturesque countryside outside the market town of Wem. It is very peaceful and a perfect holiday location with many fascinating locations nearby to explore; the busy county town of Shrewsbury with its river life and independent shops and plenty of places to eat out, the Wilfred Owen birthplace at Oswestry and also the world heritage site of the Pontcysllte Aquaduct at Llangollen to name but a few.
The Stableroom offers you a private living space with both a double bed and a single bed. It has a roomy en suite shower room. There is a TV, DVD player and a selection of DVD's plus a radio cassette with tapes. Tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave are available for your use. You can also cook on the BBQ. There is also an outdoor table tennis table and a beautiful garden in which to relax. A further double room is available in the house for bigger groups and for visitors who only want a one night stay.
Our house is on a country lane near the little market town of Wem where there is a supermarket and plenty of smaller shops such as greengrocers, butchers, grocers to buy provisions. There are also several cafes and tea rooms plus take-aways and a fish and chip shop. The Castle Hotel on the main street has an evening menu (excluding Sundays) and there are a number of restaurants and take aways. It takes only 20 minutes to walk into Wem on the Shropshire Way across the fields and therefore is popular with those guests who want to take a walk with their dog. The area is full of lovely places to hike both in the hills and along the Shropshire Union Canal and by the meres at Ellesmere and Colemere.
  • Lovely place and really cosy for a couple to use as a base to explore the beautiful surroundings. Gabrielle and Tim are so helpful and I would highly recommend. We will definitely use again when we are up this end.

    Vanessa2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely welcome at the Stableroom and really enjoyed our brief stay, which was perfect for our needs. Gabrielle and her husband were great hosts who'd even thought of a bottle of milk for the mini-fridge. We'd already planned our onward travel, but the local tips were great and I've filed them in the brainbox for another time in the area; and I've been inspired to grow fennel next year.

    Daniel2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Gabrielle's place, nice and cosy but spacious for us including baby and 2 dogs!

It is also a culturally important town in England, a tourist attraction that locals will go to, so you can see signs in different places in the town. The landlord taught me to go to the visitor center to ask about the history of the town and it helped me a lot. The landlord rented us the second floor and we lived comfortably. By the way, there are two cats, one of them called Fredi, very friendly and curious.

  • This house is full of character and we instantly felt at home. The bed is very comfortable and the gorgeous cotton bed linen meant we slept very well. It was great to have use of a small kitchenette and day room.

  • It was very nice to spend a night at Gillian's. The bed is wonderful, everything was clean. Enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the river. Highly recommended!!

Idyllic, country cottage 4km from Shrewsbury with hot tub. Renovated in Farrow and Ball style, its perfect for family holidays, small groups or couples looking for a country bolthole. Our river meadows meet the River Severn and a private wetland area is just a short walk from the cottage. We welcome a well behaved dog for an additional £10 per night. South Shropshire hills on our doorstep and the Welsh coast within reach, we are surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK.
The Lodge is a charming and characterful place to stay. It works well for small groups, family events, couples or even for a business stay in the area. With two bedrooms in the eaves, white picket fencing, port hole windows, 'playpods' for children to chillout in, it is packed with charming features that will make it a memorable place to stay. The Lodge has a spacious and light dining area, a cosy sitting room with a log burner and comfy sofas. Downstairs there is also a king size bedroom and a family bathroom and upstairs there is an ensuite off the master double bedroom. There is also a small twin bedroom upstairs, a cot is available. The kitchen has everything you need to make time spent in there a pleasant experience. Shaker style cabinets, coffee machine with pods, a range set into a tiled chimney breast, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and a modern standup fridge freezer in a retro design. An additional fridge in the Summer Room for easy access to cold beverages. The cottage is set in a large enclosed garden with a seating/eating area with fabulous views out across the fields. A rural idyll.
Shrawardine is a typical old English village with historical houses and thatched cottages, surrounded by farmland in a bend of the River Severn. In the centre of the village a 13th century ruined castle is sited on the Millenium Green, just opposite The Lodge. Shrawardine has historically been a crossing point of the River Severn from Wales into England for centuries. Views from the village lookout to Rodney's Pillar and The Breiddens and The Stiperstones, The Devil's Chair and Long Mynd.
  • A really nice, peaceful place to stay while away with work. Spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was a great added bonus. Will definitely look to stay again when back in the area.

  • What a lovely place! We went to celebrate my birthday for the weekend and Rebecca very sweetly left little cakes to welcome us. Rebecca is the perfect host- she gave tips and checked on the (amazing) hot tub every day. She was kindly flexible about check in time and gave us recommendations for places to go/eat and walk. The house has a lovely feel to it and was comfortable and clean. A wonderful stay.

  • A lovely place in a lovely location. The hot tub made it extra special. The weather was poor but we still had a great time - thank you

  • We had a lovely stay at this beautiful but functional cottage. It was perfect for our young family. The hot tub gave it a real luxury. We would definitely like to stay again.

  • The Lodge is a lovely country cottage with great kitchen, living and dining facilities. The log fire makes the place feel very cosy and the hot tub adds a splash of luxury. The play room is a nice touch for families travelling with children. The whole place is finished to a very high standard

  • Rebecca and her husband have a wonderful cottage that they have turned into a home from home. Surrounded by beautiful countryside this is the perfect getaway for families, couples or a group of friends and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. You won't regret staying here.

  • The Lodge was a beautiful place to spend the Christmas break. It was sparkling clean and full of thoughtful touches like the Christmas tree and decorations. We loved the hot tub and the log fire. Shame we couldn't stay for longer but I'm sure we'll return so we can properly explore the area. Thank you!

  • Lovely space and helpful hosts! Upon learning that we were renting the house to host an American Thanksgiving dinner, Rebecca even left us a cake and a personal note wishing us a happy holiday. She offered additional cooking equipment from their personal house and made great local recommendations. A real winner of a house and a host!

  • Val's cottage is your very own escape to the country. It was the perfect space for our family of 6. The kids loved exploring the country garden and discovering different flowers and types of bees. Myddle is a short drive to Shrewsbury so, while it feels like country you aren't to far from shops etc. We loved our stay there and hope to return in a couple of years!

Adrian and Gemma kindly provided a welcome pack of bread, milk etc - which was very thoughtful. We’d highly recommend the loft, it’s bigger than it looks and has a lovely feel.
