The best homestay i visited the place with my old parents and a toddler as well. None had a single complaint, neither about the house nor about the host. The host is very responsive and attentive always gets you sorted on time… i had the best time with my family the bed and their linens were at its peak… we all could have a safe and sound sleep after the hike and the day out…. Highly recommend….

Great place to connect with nature and local community. We met three chameleons at the property, about five on the adjacent road, as well as plenty of local children fascinated and scared at the same time of our dog :) Pizzeria Mama Mia is about 45 min walk and is quite outstanding.

A mug filled with steaming coffee is placed beside a plate featuring a freshly baked roll and green salad, set against a backdrop of rolling mountains. The scene is bathed in soft natural light, highlighting the serene landscape of the Usambara Mountains.

Great place if you are looking for quiet and a lovely view from your patio. A bit far from town if you need to go in for a meal or to experience Lushoto. Breakfast was great, the staff packed us snacks for our all day hike. Supper was good and filling but expensive compared to comparable meals in town. The electrical outlets are all European two round prongs so you will need an adapter if you have the Tanzanian standard plugs.

A charming outdoor balcony features two wooden chairs with colorful seat cushions, inviting relaxation. A green potted plant hangs nearby, and the space is framed by a rustic stone wall, providing a connection to nature and the surrounding environment.

Best Lodging in Lushoto!! A very nice home with all the comforts... all to ourselves. Views of the valley, balcony, hot shower, kitchen, and large spaces. The owner is a very kind person and always ready to help. The location is perfect. We were worried it was too central, or too far from the center. This house is located away from the chaos surrounded by nature, but a 5-minute walk from the village of Lushoto!! Important: on the site it says that it is 2km from the village... but there is a small downhill street that crosses a school and two homes, which will allow you to reach the village in 5/7 minutes! Everything is really perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Lovely Home on Sunset Horizon

I stayed in one of the rooms with my sister for two nights. The apartment is very stylish and clean and the balcony with its sofas invites you to linger. The views are unique and the location in nature ensures a relaxing tranquility. The transfer from the bus station by Obedi worked smoothly. The rich breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff and his wife were very friendly. The one-day hike recommended by Obedi was great, and our guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable in terms of the local flora and fauna. My sister and I highly recommend this place.

very nice place to stay. Lots of personal space, but if you have any questions, you could always contact the Host. We slept here both in advance on the 4 day hike and after the 4 day hike and felt at home here. He can also pair you with a nice guide for hiking in the Usambara mountains!

The communication with Jerome was quick and uncomplicated. Jerome and his wife are very warm hosts, who go out of their way to ensure a nice and smooth stay for the guests. Jerome picked up from the bus parking lot in the evening and dropped us back there very early in the morning on the day of departure and even organized the bus tickets for us, which was very easier. Also, we were cooked late at night on the arrival day by Jerome's wife, which was super delicious and more than welcome. The two are active in the local community and participate in building a school, so the money earned through Airbnb also benefits the local people. I highly recommend a stay, the hospitality and helpfulness are really great! Great value for money.

What a wonderful stay we had here. Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings, and the locals were so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast and evening meals cooked from the sweet housekeeper. There was also a very nice nights man who watched over us and the car. I would go back to lushoto in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay with David as an excellent host. The area is also beautiful and David can organize all kinds of trips. Highly recommended.

We loved it! It’s so peaceful and you are surrounded by wonderful nature. There is a lot of Avocado Trees and we’re lucky because we got to eat a lot of them and they tasted sooo delicious! 😋 When we would visit Lushoto again, we would definitely stay here at Crispins again!! He is a really kind Host , always reachable and helpful. Thank you again for letting us stay! And also a big thank you to Jamal and Babu - they are both so friendly and helpful and made our stay feel even more like home :) Asante sana kwa kila kitu

We had a wonderful stay at Uvi House! Dagmara and Abdul were incredibly kind and accommodating, always ready to assist us with any questions we had. Initially, we had booked two beds in the dormitory, but Dagmara generously offered us a free upgrade to one of the cottages. The view was fantastic, and we truly enjoyed our time there. Breakfast and dinner were served as a self-service buffet with a variety of delicious local meals and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On our way back, Abdul helped us find the right buses to our next destination and even waited with us until we departed. Asante sana!
