The house is just as stunning as the photos suggest. It is very light and airy but really cosy too. We had a fantastic time. I withdrew highly recommend it.

We stayed here over one weekend (8 adults and 3 kids) and had a great time. The house was spotless and extremely well equipped. We spent most of the weekend actually in the house and gardens, the games and pool table keeping the adults occupied, the kids were happy running around and playing hide and seek. We were delayed in getting there but that was no problem and communication was great throughout. It's a beautiful house and my wife loved the master bedroom with the four-poster bed and stunning windows overlooking the garden and woods behind the house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and we've already been talking about staying here as a family again.

This cottage is in a lovely rural area of Aberdeenshire. It is very well equipped and very comfortable. Val is the host and is very welcoming and easy to communicate with and she responds almost instantly.

The cabin is basic, but exactly what we needed. A clean and comfy bed, and a nice hot shower.

What an amazing place to stay! We had a wonderful time in a true home from home. It has everything you need as well as some lovely extra touches. Anne and Graham were delightful hosts!

We enjoyed our stay very much, the Wee House was warm, clean, quiet, had good facilities, some nice free food :) and was nicely decorated with interesting art work. The hosts were very welcoming and it was a good touch to have the log stove going when we arrived. The house is well located for our walking trip in the Corren Hills, which was one of the reasons I picked it, you can walk from the house into the hills without having to drive further, we would like to go back and do further hill walking and mountain or road biking. There are lots of maps provided in the house and the hosts have a good knowledge of the local area when in comes to history and doing trips in the hills etc. Thanks again to Graham for picking us up after our walk on Sunday, that was a bonus and saved us walking on the road a bit. Definitely recommended.

The wee house is beautiful, great location in a lovely part of the world. Anne has obviously put a lot of time and love into the wee house which is full of lovely thoughtful touches - including some breakfast bits to get you going, hot water bottles and DVDs. Perfect hosts, very welcoming. Definitely recommend, 5 star and would come again

I love it from the minute I saw it – bright, cosy, spotlessly clean and airy studio with Scandinavian design offering functionality without sacrificing beauty and comfort. Anne and Graham have put a lot of love into decorating the studio and it really shows. They are incredible hosts and made me feel like family from the moment I arrived! The treats on arrival were a lovely touch and were much appreciated. The Wee Hus is well appointed in a location offering peace and tranquility, a short distance to Alford, Huntley, Leith Hall Garden & Estate, Craigievar Castle, Cothiemuir and Old Keig stone circles, Dunnideer Castle and the picturesque village of Insch . Fantastic base to explore Aberdeenshire and Moray. I would stayed forever if I could as Anne and Graham are very inspiring and there’s so much to explore. Anne and Graham were the most welcoming, kind and thoughtful hosts. The house was above and beyond our expectations, the fireplace lovely, and we had our privacy. From the first minute we felt at home, cozy and full vacation mode. We had everything we needed to prepare a meal and enjoyed the beautiful nature of the Muir of Dinnet natural reserve nearby.

The Wee Hus is magnificent and we can't recommend it in glowing enough terms. Really modern, tastefully decorated, a fantastic location for anyone who wants a lovely weekend in beautiful countryside. Anne and Graham were lovely hosts - very helpful but also discrete, and they picked us up from the bus in Alford which was very kind. Anne also left a number of delicious snacks and local jam and honey for us upon arrival which was delicious and much appreciated. The Hus contains everything you need, modern amenities, kitchen facilities, a great shower. We very much hope to come back in the future!

Our stay at Anne’s wee hus was one of our best stops of our trip to Scotland. The accommodation is just perfect: cozy, clean, beautifully decorated and with everything you need. But even more impressive were Anne and Graham: lovely people - above all very helpful. Their hospitality is one of a kind. We hope to see them again!

Well, what a fantastic find, the Wee Hus was! I would encourage everyone to stay there. Anne is a wonderful hostess and her husband Graham is charming too. The quality of the interior is second to none and you will find Anne leaves you some lovely treats to start you off. The area is remote but near a lovely wee town, Alford, where you can shop and eat. Highly recommended and five stars all the way......

Really lovely home. They had everything we needed and were really easy to communicate with, responding really quickly to any queries we had. We found it very peaceful and refreshing. Lovely place to spend our first anniversary! :)

A charming cottage in the remote location. We loved the clean, cosy rooms, basic but very pleasant kitchen with large table, a nice selection of games and books there. Lovely place for walks - rolling hills, sheep and cows.

Jennys place was absolutely amazing! What a stunning property! Definitely a home away from home! Wish we could have stayed longer! Very spacious, clean and all the amenities you need for a stay. The region is so beautiful with so much to explore not too far from the house. Views were spectacular..i woke up super early so got to see some beautiful sun rises. So peaceful and quiet. The perfect retreat! Thanks Jenny for a brilliant stay!!

Charming and spotlessly clean apartment annexed to Max and Jenny's lovely barn conversion home. This place is really spacious and comfortably fit our family of four (toddler and newborn). The rural location is stunning, yet still only a few miles away from the nearest towns for cafes and restaurants. We were there for a wedding close-by and Max and Jenny couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly or helpful. The place is well set-up for children with an incredible games cupboard and DVD players. Kitchen was very helpfully stocked for simple meals and milk tea and jam/bread on arrival was much appreciated! All in all, a lovely stay. Would certainly recommend.

Absolutely little gem of a place and located near but not too close to lots of little local scenic routes. We used this place as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life. We loved our stay and will be more than happy to return and visit more of Aberdeenshire. Jenny & Max were lovely hosts and helped out with all our needs. Clean & Modern barn converted cottage.

My husband and I were in Aberdeenshire to check out the stone circles and Pictish stones in the area. May’s cottage was a perfect home base. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay and extra touches like a beautiful garden, fresh cut flowers and breakfast staples. It also has wonderful sun room, where we sat every morning and evening, taking in the lovely scenery. It was conveniently close to Alford, which had a couple grocery stores and a really good fish and chip shop. May met us upon arrival and gave us a tour. She even had a hand-drawn map of some local ancient sites for us. We gladly recommend her place and were sad to leave!

May’s place is very beautiful and in a lovely location. Loved the sunroom. It had gorgeous views and was our favorite place to be. One of our favorite stays of our trip. Would highly recommend!

Lovely cottage tucked away near Alford. Good location for family vacation or honeymoon getaway. Absolutely breathtaking scenery around cottage. Oh, and just walk with clothes and major food items if you want to cook breakfast or occasional meal, there is lots is seasoning etc. Alford has affordable priced food. Also we ate out in Aberdeen, wide choice of food places. Cottage was huge, every facility available in your own home and more. Definitely will stay again when local to area. A beautiful home, which is very well equipped. The open plan kitchen dining and living area are superb.

Absolutely stunning home with all the amenities you need. There were shower products in each bathroom which was great in case you had forgotten to take with you (which I did!) and we also had a lovely bottle of red wine & chocolates waiting for us on arrival, such a fab touch. We stayed here to celebrate an early Christmas Day with family & it was the perfect setting. Highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a weekend away. Lovely stay.

Beautiful home. Probably one of the best equipped we have ever stayed in from shampoo, conditioner, kitchen utensils etc. Also had plastic bowls, spoons, high chair etc for babies. Bathroom is very luxurious with a powerful shower.

We had a beautiful stay at the Cornmill - a stylishly decorated, cosy and comfortable home with great access to the Highlands. We happily spent several days soaking up the atmosphere of the house which is full of art and bathed in natural light. Claire was super attentive, and we’d definitely return again.

Beautiful home and local to the Huntly Nordic centre. Kitchen was perfect size for 6 hungry women who had trained all day! Beds extremely comfortable and w had a fantastic time.

Lovely place in a beautiful, quiet, avenging part of Aberdeenshire. It’s a beautiful homely location with three good-sized bedrooms, lots of space and wonderfully decorated. Perfect location for exploring the local countryside and near to the airport and Aberdeen - we had a wonderful time.

Home was soooo lovely and relaxing, we enjoyed every moment and appreciated the close proximity to the local sites and loved having such an authentic Scottish living experience. It was super hard to find but the taxis were very understanding and helped us get there with the help of Claire's directions so it was all good! Would definitely book again!

Great house that sleeps 6-people. House has 2 living areas and this is great when 5-adults share a house. Kitchen well equipped with everything you could need. Would certainly book again when in the area.

Wow! We can’t recommend this place highly enough. This place is everything you’d want and more for a wee get away. Myself and my boyfriends family had a lovely few days here across new year. We all felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. We were shown around/made to feel at home by the hosts. Nothing was too much problem and they had clearly thought of lots of little touches to make the perfect stay. Everything was spotless. It is only a few minuets from the high street of Alford but it feels like are so far out in the country side with absolutely stunning views! The hot tub was a personal highlight, just bliss. Thank you so much to the hosts and we shall be back!

Wonderful place with lots of special touches.

Situated just outside of Alford this is a truly beautiful retreat. Secluded yet with spectacular views of the Aberdeenshire countryside you will not be disappointed with your stay at Brainley Croft. The cottage itself is a stunning and well maintained building which has been kitted out to a very high standard and was immaculately clean. There is plenty living and dining space and with the kitchen fully equipped, possibly better than we have at home! The art work and vignettes have been chosen with care and thought and add to the over all comfort and offer general points to talk about. The spacious garden with chickens, and playhouse for the kids was beautifully kept as well. Mel and John are wonderful hosts and it was a joy to have the opportunity to stay at the Croft, we’d love to visit again when it’s a bit cooler to take advantage of the fire and aga.

Very nice Bothy with good facilities in a good location with parking. Rick is always there if we need him.

Lovely house with plenty of space both inside and out. Weather was lovely so we had plenty to keep us occupied in the garden with the BBQ hut hot tub

June herself was not there when we arrived but made sure we got on well. Several tenants while staying in the house which was unknown to us, but turned out to be fine. The location is not very convenient, Alford is not attractive, lively town but if you have a car you from here to visit plenty of interesting things. The room itself was perfect, an unprecedented luxury. The kitchen was fine, we were able to use everywhere. June is a very warm and open hostess.
