Lakefront Guest Studio provides excellent views of Cayuga Lake, Cass Park and marinas all from the comfortable interior or private deck. Make use of the lakefront dock and swimming access. We are located at the base of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail so you can get the full FLX experience!
Response to COVID 19: We as hosts are taking this crisis seriously. All of our units are stand-alone and do not share space with other units. Each unit is sanitized with anti viral cleaning products and all precautions are taken to follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing. We provide a cell phone and handwashing station with anti -viral products. We are keeping on top of any recent updates on guidelines and will follow strict protocol involving cleaning and sanitizing. This studio was designed specifically with guests in mind and provides a California King bed (very comfortable) along with dining area and kitchenette. Large en-suite bathroom offers jetted tub, big enough for 2 and a rainfall shower. Enter thru private deck complete with lounge chairs and outdoor dining table. Beautiful views of the lake especially at dawn and dusk. Kitchenette provides a sink and fridge but no stove. Everything you would need to make coffee is provided including the coffee! Tea, toaster, and microwave also available. The house is built into the cliff side. There is a dock and lakeside available for your use including a variety of kayaks available. The lake front is shared with us, your hosts, or potentially other guests. There are several sets of stairs that you must use to access the apartment and the lake so it's best if you're prepared for that and don't mind. We are located adjacent to the Black Diamond Trail - a 10 mile trail for hiking and biking. We are located a 1 min drive or 5 min walk to Cass Park and Treman Marina. There are a few other living units in the property and it's likely we as the hosts will be in residence there as well as other guests in another suite. We are happy to help you find local attractions or talk about your trip and plans while you are here. It's also fine if you like your privacy.
The house is one of the first houses on the West side of the lake. So we are close to Cass Park which has lots of rec trails for running, biking, skating, dog walking etc. Adjacent to Black Diamond Trail. Treman Marina and dog park are a 5min walk. Other lake houses have docks and houses close by so you may or may not see the neighbors.
  • Beautiful studio so close to downtown! Loved waking up to a view of the lake. Everything was clean and cozy; the studio even smelled amazing when we arrived! Jes even provided freshly ground coffee. The hosts live upstairs so there was some noise but they were very considerate. King bed is super comfortable! Would love to stay again during summer.

  • Clean, easy to find, great views, close to everything. We had a great time!

    Alex2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I took a few steps into the apartment, looked out at the beautiful lake and then we both said "I wish we could stay forever." The space is exactly as it appears in pictures and yet even better than that. I sent the link to 3 friends while we were still staying there and told them all that they had to come stay. I can only imagine how gorgeous this spot is in the summer- though we plan to find out!

    Meg2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jes's place was absolutely beautiful. The view, the king size bed, the bathroom, were all amazing. Highly recommend renting from Jes when visiting the area. Perfect location. Perfect space for a weekend getaway.

Surrounded by trees and the sound of Six Mile Creek, and a 7 minute walk from the Commons. This apt is in a hidden paradise in Ithaca. 1920s house with lots of character. Custom woodwork. Equipped for long and short stays. Walk to Cornell in 25 min.
Everyone that has ever taken a walk to 1st dam knows the glory of Giles St, and many remember this house in particular. The views and backyard are stunning. The custom woodwork and small touches in the Urban Cabin showcase the history of the area. It's a special place all around.
If you take a left on the street when you leave the house you can walk to the wildflower preserve and first dam in less than 10 minutes. It is really beautiful. You can see first dam from the bridge or take the steep path to the left before you reach the bridge. There is a big gate, but it is public. Bring a camera and wear good shoes. The wildflower preserve is a nice walk in the woods. Cross over the bridge and take a right down a paved hill. If you take a right on the street when you leave the house you can cross over the footbridge and go downhill on E State St to get to the Commons. It is quieter not to take the bridge. You can just walk right down Giles / Hudson Street and take a right at the end. If you're going to Cornell, our favorite path is over the footbridge, straight (slight left) on Ferris Place, at the end of Ferris Place go a little downhill to the traffic light on the intersection of Stewart Ave and E State Street. Cross over to Stewart Ave and walk about 5 minutes until you see Campus Road going uphill to your right. Cross over onto Campus Road and head uphill. Take the path on Libe Slope by the 350 year old oak tree. There's a photo of it in the Urban Cabin. It is a special tree. Sage Chapel is beautiful (see if the crypt is open in the back near the grand pipe organ), as well as the pitched tiles on the roof of Olin Library (take the stairs to the left of the library entrance and toss rocks on them to make music), the AD White reading room in Uris Library (just ask the person at the desk when you enter). Cornell is a great place to walk around. Go all the way to the Ag Quad to eat at Manndible in Mann Library and get a feel for the whole campus. Favorite happy hour: Viva Taqueria (M-F 4-6pm, $2 drafts and an outstanding tequila selection) Favorite place to have a fancy cocktail: The Argos (closes at 10pm) Favorite places to have a fancy meal: Mia's (Asian fusion on the Commons), Just a Taste (tapas just off the Commons) and Gola Osteria (classy Italian right across the footbridge. Take a right up the cobblestone path, and get buzzed in at the doors of the building nearest to the big fish statue) Favorite places for BYOB dining: Sticky Rice (closed on Mondays and only open for dinner), Tamarind (far if you're walking) Favorite places to shake our booties late night: Lot 10 (on the far end of the Commons), and The Range (on the Commons). Favorite place to get coffee: Ithaca Coffee Company (7 min walk, also has delicious beer on tap). Unique places to have tea and watch the locals: Oasis Co-op (just off the Commons) Favorite places for cheaper meals: Gorgers (messy flat bread sandwiches), Asia Cuisine (sushi, Korean, delicious), Viva Taqueria (best after a couple margaritas), Four Seasons (Korean in Collegetown), Waffle Frolic (on the Commons. Paninis! Yum!) Brunch spots: The Carriage House (10 min walk), Northstar (lovely 25 min walk through Fall Creek), Purity Ice Cream (far if you're walking, but they even have tofu scramble with kale), Cafe Dewitt (just off the Commons), Ithaca Bakery (their coffee's not great, but their sandwiches are delicious)
  • What a great spot to stay in Ithaca. Close to everything! A walk into town and a walk to beautiful trails. I rather enjoyed making a fire in the area provided and listening to the running water behind the home. It’s so peaceful there, it feels like your in the middle of nowhere but so close! The “urban cabin” itself is very comfortable and I look forward to staying again when I visit Ithaca in the future!

  • Jonah and Alicia’s apartment is lovely, well-equipped and comfortable. It is in a beautiful spot on the gorge. Convenient for both the Commons and Cornell’s campus. Tea and oatmeal, and milk in the fridge, were nice touches!

  • These hosts are amazing, gracious, and overwhelmingly accomadating! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone as a great couples retreat. So close to the falls and extremely cozy!

    Shawn2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The loft on Cornell Street was the perfect getaway spot for my boyfriend and I. It had everything we needed plus some and was very clean. The location is also amazing as it is on a quiet street and very close to downtown Ithaca. Sarah and Herb provided very clear details and instructions prior to our stay and were always quick to respond to any questions. Overall, this is a really great place and I highly recommend!

    Kylie2020-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • This loft was very comfortable and cozy and I would suggest it anyone who is looking to stay in the area. The place was very clean, bright and hosts were very responsive whenever i reached out. The location is great if you like walks to nature and very close drive to amazing hikes and gorges in the Finger lakes area. Would stay there again!

    Ulas2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Herb are so kind, thoughtful and respectful. Their place is beautiful, so clean and has everything you’ll need. Staying at the loft was peaceful and just what I needed. It’s also a short walk to college town, green star for groceries and the East Ithaca Recreation Way. During this crazy time, it’s a comfortable, peaceful place to quarantine - the cozy design of the loft and nice location make it easier to social distance and stay home without going stir crazy. And any time, I think it’s the perfect spot for writing /working - there’s a great desk and its easy to focus there - or just relaxing. I highly recommend!!!

    Alexis2020-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The 3rd story loft is quiet and comfortable, with lovely natural light and a convenient floor plan. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and friendly.

    Douglas2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! My boyfriend and I were looking for a little private getaway, and what was delivered by Sarah and Herb was far better than expected. We would both highly highly recommend. It was very clean and stylish; themed and exactly as pictured. The blind that separates the bed from the rest of the living space is a nice touch, being located directly across from the door with a small window. The furniture was super comfy, and we didn't want to leave!

  • Location to the commons, State Theatre, Library is ideal... Quiet neighborhood street, very responsive host.

  • No issues with this little studio for two. It was very clean and completely adequate. I messaged the host and had an immediate response. It was a quiet location and had a nice little fridge, stove top and most anything you would need for a nice overnight or two. The double bed was a tight fit for the two of us but it was a comfy bed!

Just 5 mins from downtown & 10 mins from Cornell + the best waterfall in town is a two-story sunny loft with floor-to-ceiling windows, a spiral staircase, 2 patios and a private dock!
Featuring panoramic views on a loft perched high above Cayuga Lake w/access to a private dock, a fully stocked kitchen, & bright living spaces. There's a patio with a hammock for naps after a long travel or to observe the plethora of animals that live in our gardens and trees. Make sure to bring a camera with you! Although the loft faces the sunrise (which is magnificent to watch if you're an early bird), the sky during sunset paints lush salmon colors w/speckles of gold & brushstroked clouds. The owner of the property lives in the unit above the one you'll be staying at. She is a retired former NASA employee, an alumni of Cornell with a degree in Engineering, a certified Transcendental Meditation teacher, tends to her gardens on the property, and takes morning 'strolls' on her vintage rowing boat on the lake. For bookings with 4+night stays, you may book a week-long Transcendental Meditation session where right above your unit, you can learn to meditate; a highly recommended practice by many successful people. In your message, please state your interest. I am a tenant of the apartment and have thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a year now. I know this space intimately & represents a big part of me. I really, really enjoy this space a lot and so will you.
The neighborhood is a family-orientated neighborhood. While many of the lakehouses in the area, including ours, welcome guests and travelers of all kind, the atmosphere is very family friendly and we all collectively work together to maintain the homely feel. We're centrally located: going north is Taughannock Falls, a short 5-minute drive. Another 5 minutes take you to Trumansburg & the beginning of the Finger Lakes wine trails. Going south is a 2 minute drive to Hangar Theatre, Cass Park & Treman Park. Another 3 minutes takes you to downtown. Our neighborhood consists of paddleboarders, kayakers, boaters, sailers, & swimmers. We have a mascot named Jake who takes the form of a black furr-acious cat & likes to meander through the property from time to time as he makes his neighborhood rounds to say hullo to the fellow neighbors. He's not a stray so don't be alarmed. Jake has been trying to scheme his way into the house for years, but he is well-housed and well fed :] He likes to patrol & update himself with the happenings of the neighborhood and its neighbors. In addition, we have many birds, squirrels, chipmunks & plant life that call our property home. Please be respectful to them. You'll likely to see many of the animals scurrying abouts or stopping by to peek in, including a woodpecker you'll likely be hearing during your stay.
  • Zeke and Kris’s place was as advertised. Beautiful property. All the essentials were stocked. Would stay again! Thank you for your hospitality. Will visit again.

    Brandon2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house is near Cornell University and has a great and unique view of lake. We had a wonderful time there! Thank you, Zeke&Kris!

    April2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Place was beautiful and calming. Parking was easy for a road where thats not always the case. Dock view was stunning.

    Nick2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Zeke and Kris’s two-story loft was spacious, comfortable, and bright. We travelled by car and enjoyed staying there while attending a weekend event at Cornell. We’d come back.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Zeke and Kris' space is absolutely gorgeous! Great energy and beautiful view!! Will be especially nice in the spring, summer and fall because of Lake and nature surrounding their home. Awesome experience! Very good communicators...excellent lighting...and loved the fireplace.

    Mary Lynn And Quinn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • You can tell they’ve taken past reviews into consideration so don’t let the negatives deter you. They’ve added more seating and we weren’t able to see any mold like other reviews mentioned. The place itself was gorgeous with an amazing view. We couldn’t have asked for anything else. Plus the location was perfect. Far away enough that you enjoy the serenity of nature and close enough that there are a lot of delivery options! Would definitely come again when it’s warmer!

    Betsy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The view is stunning - even better than the photos. It is a nice, comfortable space and an easy drive into Ithaca, which is a lovely little college town. Perfect for our visit!

Conveniently located in Downtown, Ithaca's must visit Commons is a 5 minute walk away, which leads you through Restaurant Row. Directly across the street is Cascadilla Gorge. Considered to be one of Ithaca's starter trails, it follows a calm and soothing stream which allows you to elevate cliff side right into Cornell.

  • This apartment has such a peaceful feeling with historic charm and southern light. Especially unique and wonderful is its proximity to the gorge and waterfalls! Basically in your front yard. And a 3 minute walk to downtown. It was a nice place to rest and grieve the loss of my mother. Thank you Calyn

    Jennifer2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Cascadilla Flat was a perfect accommodation for our weeklong getaway from the city. The apartment is spacious, stylish, sunny and quiet with everything we needed for cooking. We loved the faux fire place/ space heater in the living room, which added to the coziness. The flat is in an ideal location directly across the street from the breathtaking Gorge trail, within walking distance to restaurants and only a short drive to Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls. Calyn is a kind and attentive host, and responded quickly to all of my questions. We highly recommend choosing Cascadilla Flat for your Ithaca stay. Five stars across the board!!

Charming two-story guest cottage situated in the garden of an historic train station (ca.1830) located at the southeast corner of Cayuga Lake. I am subletting this space from July 1, 2020 to ca. May 15th, 2021. For any or all of this time. Message me for details.
Perfect as a writers retreat, for faculty, grads or parents visiting one of the universities, as a base of operations for outdoorsy adventuring or touring the Finger Lakes wine country - and especially for those with a penchant for historic architecture (American folk) and charming romantic spaces. Cottage has a bedroom upstairs with views of the lake, a lounge downstairs, and a bathroom. There's a mini fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle and toaster, and a tv for playing dvds, but no television service or cable. There is a ladder to get to the bedroom of the cottage. This is not ideal for those with bad knees, etc. or fear of climbing ladders. (See a picture of it in my photo album section.) There is a cat who lives on the property, he is technically not allowed in the cottage, but I know that guests sneak him over there occasionally because he's so charming - therefore, if you are highly allergic, please take that into consideration. History: The property was built ca. 1830 where it fulfilled the function of lighthouse. It was later transformed into a switchback to the railroad until sometime in the 1930s when it became a residential space. From the early sixties to the early '90s the buildings were abandoned and fell into ruin. The property was rescued from a derelict state by British visual artist Paul Chambers. From 1992 to 2002, Chambers 'recycled' the site into a work of living sculpture, and in 2007 Wylie purchased the property, which she considers to be a work of art, and maintains it in accordance with Chambers’ vision.
Close proximity to Stewart Park, the East Shore swimming beach, the Ithaca Farmer's Market, and the Cayuga Waterfront Trail.
  • An idyllic little spot with a great host!

  • It was mine and my wife’s anniversary and we were looking for a cozy type of cottage to stay in last minute. Wylie responded right away to get us all checked in with lights and heat turned on before we got there. It was exactly what we hoped for. Rustic, artsy, bohemian chic type style with an awesome collection of books to sit in the nook upstairs with and just lounge! We loved EVERYTHING about it! Very charming, simple and sweet. Thanks Wylie we will defiantly be coming back !

    Daniel2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Unique cottage. A bit drafty and rustic as advertised, lots of blankets to cozy up with.

    Sienna2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wylie’s place was perfect for our quick trip through Ithaca. Very close to downtown, the location was perfect. The bathroom was great and bed comfortable. Wylie was very responsive and check in was simple.

    Rebecca2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Be prepared to have a cozy and fulfilling stay at Wylie's cottage. It is both adorable and functional. It felt like I rented a house for the weekend! You wont regret your stay.

    Vito2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wylie’s place was so cozy and unique, my friend and I had a great experience staying at Wylie’s cottage. Wylie was fast to reply, prior our arrival, she had the heat turned on for us so it was warm when we got there. Her place is about 5 min drive from town and 15-20 min drive to most scenic areas. Wylie was very thoughtful and had a folder of recommendation of nearly everything we wanted to know. Overall we had a amazing experience staying at her place, we would definitely be coming back here again next year in the spring/summer!

  • Andrea’s place is truly a gem! The apartment has a great location close to necessities and beautiful walkable neighborhood, yet a bit away from Ithaca busy center. Lots of natural light and pleasant views from windows make this place a comfortable and restful retreat. I would certainly recommend it to other travelers.

  • Andrea’s place is lovely. I had a great time there. It is quiet, stylish and clean. The communication with her was clear from the info in Airbnb messages so I didn’t have to reach out to her with any questions. Thank you again.

  • We appreciated this space, a spacious nook in a grand Victorian space. The woodwork is quite extraordinary, and the contemporary touches in the master bedroom were aesthetically pleasing. A nice, simple retreat a few minutes walk from downtown. Sarah responds immediately, and is a gracious host.

  • Sweet spot super close to downtown! Amazing bed! So comfortable! Sarah was excellent at communicating - so fast to respond. Check in a piece of cake. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Studio with bedroom door in center Ithaca! Close to wegmans, the commons and the bus station!
Great location and affordable for a space with its own kitchen and bathroom! compare to $100 or more for hotel spaces. Plus you can make your own meal
Close to the strip malls, commons, and Southside community center.
  • Very clean, very few frills. Comfortable bed, good water pressure, extremely convenient location. Would stay here again.

    Matthew2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Only thing that could be helpful is having the thermostat available. It was a bit cold during my stay.

    DaRon2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a weekend during the winter. The place was exactly as it was shown in the pictures. The hosts were very quick in responding to any questions that we had. The property was clean, and tidy. The location was very convenient since was very close to CVS and Wegmans. Restaurants are a pretty close drive as well. The neighborhood also had ample amount of available car parking. We hiked at the Watkins glen state park and the Taughannock state park during our stay, and the drive was not very long. Which further speaks to the convenient location. The place is a good value for money and I may consider it again when I visit Ithaca

Cozy 3BR house located in downtown Ithaca. Offstreet parking. Spacious yard. Easy walking distance to the Farmers Market, Purity Ice Cream, and to the Commons. Fully equipped kitchen, dining room and den. On site amenities include: WiFi, two computers, washer/dryer, oven, cooking gear, full sized fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, fresh towels and linens. Perfect for familes, students and larger groups for extended stays.
Located across the street from the Quaker meeting house, this property is one of the few in the area with a huge backyard. Perfect for family barbeques. Can comfortably lodge up to five people, 408 Madison has all the amenities, including great WiFi and a computer. A fully equipped kitchen saves on dining costs, and makes for a "homely" atmosphere. Having a washer/drier on site is convenient for longer term stays, and saves a trip to the laundromat.
Ideally located, this house is just a five to ten minute walk from the Ithaca Farmers Market, and a ten to 15 minute walk to the commons. A convenience store and bowling alley are just a block away, as is a discount grocery store. A beautiful, child-friendly park is less than a block away and tons of restaurants are nearby.
  • We needed a place for a night in the area. It was 4 of us and we found this property to be appropriate for our needs. The house is clean and well maintained. My room was missing proper bedding but I borrowed blankets from my roommate. Well organized , simple but functional furnishing , this house offers good value. The hosts are very prompt and offer good communication. The only thing I would suggest is that the checking and check out time are a bit more flexible. We arrived way past 3pm which is the check in time and then we needed to check out at 12 which left us with less than 12 hours of use .

    Verdis2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Jeremy's place for one night on Valentines Day. It was quiet, peaceful and felt very homey. We had the whole place to ourselves! Everything was clean, organized and very well placed. We had no issues. I would highly recommend!

  • If you want cold and impersonal, this is not the place. If you want to spread out and feel at home, it's great. There were lots and lots of HBA's. The coffee maker is very small, so if you're an addict, you'll have to be patient. The location is extremely convenient, walkable to downtown, and feels safe. Entry is easy and communication was swift. Enjoy being at home in this place!

    Karin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, filled with awesome features, and in the perfect area to explore all the goodness Ithaca has to offer. Looking forward to staying here again!

  • This kitchen has enough plates, silverware and glassware for the number of guests it claims to hold. There were so many extra blankets!!! and towels!!! The house was plenty warm enough but we were so grateful for all the extra blankets. The weather was miserable when we visited and after a day in the freezing rain, it was wonderful to curl up on the couch and several really warm blankets. We hppe to stay here again!

Convenient west end location in Ithaca. One parking spot for guest. This house is close to everything. The bedroom is comfortable and spacious. Hosts live upstairs and guests will have their privacy. We are between two roads leading out of Ithaca. The suite is located in the back of the house and there is a moderate amount of traffic noise at times from the back porch.
The entrance to this suite is from the back porch. The parking lot is to the right of the house with a sidewalk leading to the back door. When you enter the space, there is a kitchenette with complimentary water, hot drinks and scones. NEW: Out of concern for the environment, we discontinued providing plastic single/use water bottles and now have a hot/cold water dispenser. Continuing into the bedroom you'll find a queen size bed, a Queen Anne desk, cable TV, a luggage stand, two comfy chairs, a full length mirror and an open closet. The bathroom has all the essentials.
Our Airbnb is located on West Hill in Ithaca. Within walking distance are restaurants, Island Fitness Center, the Inlet with a place to rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. We are only a few minutes from Wegmans (America's favorite grocery store!) and many of the big box stores. If "big box" is not your style, it's a 20 minute walk to The Commons where there are many local mom and pop establishments, as well as Moosewood Restaurant of Moosewood cookbook fame. Ithaca has a good bus system and you can catch a bus across the street from our house at 20 minutes before the hour.
  • Joan and Nelson are kind and considerate hosts! They helped us feel welcomed and comfortable. The place is better than the photos! Very comfortable furniture and more amenities than I could imagine! I especially liked being able to recycle, compost along with trash easily each day. We enjoyed the swing on the balcony very much as well. Overall, fantastic - highly recommend

    Sean2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Joan and Nelson were so sweet and very accommodating. Their place was comfortable, and very close to all of the spots we like to visit in Ithaca! We would loved our stay, and will be back next time we visit!

    Valerie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I can't speak highly enough about this place. The room is very special. It is simple and homey and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The whole room as a nice feel to it. The windows face east so there is a nice view across the valley to Cornell from the bedroom windows. There is a cable television in the room and WiFi, with good and strong connectivity. The bathroom connects right to the bedroom and is spacious and well organized. The shower is big and the water was plenty hot when called for. The other portion of the space is a little 'kitchen' area. There is no cooking stove, but there is kettle for hot water, small refrigerator, microwave, sink, cabinet, etc. The hosts provide tea, coffee, scones, which was a very nice touch. There is heating stove in this area that warms up the whole basement. It hovered around 10 F at night when I was there, but I was warm and comfortable inside. There is private entrance to the space, and although the room connected to the house via a staircase, I felt I had complete privacy. The parking spot is great, and the home is very close to downtown Ithaca - even walkable if you are inclined. Yet, I did feel like I was away from everything when I was there. The house is located on Route 79 but it was very quiet, particularly at night. Joan and Nelson are very nice people and their goodness fills the house. Check-in and check-out were easy. I would definitely stay there again (I miss it in fact) and I recommend it.

    Martin2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Total privacy, cozy space, and great location! Would definitely recommend.

    Benjamin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our recent stay was a return visit, which speaks to how much we like Joan's place. We feel very at home there. The room is pleasantly decorated with comfortable furnishings and lots of books on many topics. Importantly the bed is comfortable. We appreciated the private entrance around the back of the house and enjoyed the view across town to the Cornell campus. We hope to stay again next time we visit Ithaca.

  • Amazing hospitality & great location! It is within 20 min of the state parks. The waterfall in the backyard is a beautiful sight to see. The downtown lights add to the pretty view while enjoying a fire at night. We loved every second of this trip & can’t wait to return!

  • Theresa's place is a lovely, relaxing place for anyone's visit to Ithaca. The view in the backyard is spectacular and the cottage itself is charming and a perfect home base after a weekend of hiking. It's very close to the multiple state parks and only a 5 minute ride downtown. A bit hard to find in the dark but Theresa's directions were spot on.

    Catherine2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Theresa’s place is quiet and has a very homey feel to it. The location was very convenient for sightseeing and the view was wonderful. Our family hopes to return again.

  • My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs over Labor Day weekend. The space was absolutely perfect for us! Location was right in between downtown and wineries, and a short drive to the state parks for hiking. The space itself was perfect with everything we could need, and the yard is so nice with the waterfall out back and the lake view! Theresa was great about answering questions and communicating in general. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to others!

Experience Ithaca in our light, roomy, 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. The apartment is older but well kept and loved! However, if you’re looking for the most up to date fixtures our place won’t suit you. The Claw foot tub 🛀 in the bathroom is tall & not for everybody. All surfaces cleaned with anti bacterial cleaning products! Off street parking in our driveway. Walking distance to Cornell and downtown. Two blocks from Ithaca Falls, one quarter mile from Cayuga Lake and Stewart Park.
The whole apartment, except our supply closet.
Ithaca falls is less than two blocks away! 5 minutes from Cornell- direct pathway across from the home. Playground & basketball courts across the street. 2 blocks from restaurants and 5-10 minutes from Ithaca Commons. 5 minutes from Stewart Park. 5 minutes from Ithaca Farmers Market.
  • This is a great gem of an Airbnb! Just a short walk to the beautiful Ithaca Falls and a quick drive or easy walk downtown. Quietly situated away from the hustle of campus but close enough if that's what you want. Loved that we could bring our dog with us. He enjoyed sniffing every inch of the apartment. Hannah was very attentive to our messages. We recommend this place highly!

The Lavender House is located on a wonderful tree lined street in the middle of downtown Ithaca. The Ithaca Commons is a three block walk from the front door. As well as a stylishly appointed decor that includes tons of original artwork you will find a charming garden with a picnic table. The house is from the early 1900’s and has been recently updated with brand new hardwood floors and new bathroom (kept the old claw foot tub). You are conveniently close to all the attractions of downtown and can also easily get out to the many gorgeous hiking areas and wine trails. Our famed Wegmans food market is also a short walk away. Your host is an artist and former chef. His barn studio and open air exhibition space is five acres of bucolic land with a pond that overlooks downtown ithaca and the universities. You are welcome for a visit. There you can see his stone carvings presented in a beautiful garden setting. Currently he is converting a 1966 Airstream into a printmaking studio. As a former chef with strong ties to the local culinary scene, your host can be easily cajoled into preparing a meal during your stay.
The Southside is truly Ithaca’s diverse neighborhood. The Lavender House is located across the street from the Southside Community Center which is the heart of the community located in a charming WPA era building.

  • The location is excellent. Clean and convenient. Can’t really ask for more in this price range. Sean gave me personal recommendations based on my requests.

    Nicole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • As a first-time Airbnb guest I had no idea what to expect, but the Lavender Room was a lovely experience. The house was lived in without being messy or sterile like a hotel room. Sean's housemates were polite and welcoming. The room we stayed in was comfortable and neatly furnished with plenty of natural light and lamp lighting. Sheets, pillows, blankets and towels were clean and professionally stocked. I personally slept like a rock! We will be visiting the Lavender Room the next time we stay in Ithaca!

This newly renovated, 1920 Carriage House, located in Cayuga Heights, is just north and within walking distance of the Cornell Campus. An excellent location which avoids the noise and congestion of Collegetown while allowing easy access to all the area has to offer. Perfect for visiting faculty, extended stay visitors, or those visiting relatives in the Ithaca area. This listing requires a minimum 31 day stay. Please contact me if you have any questions or special requests.
The Carriage House is two floors, so it is not handicapped accessible, nor child-friendly. The total space is about 1000 sqft, plus a large deck off the living area. Upstairs, there are two sleeping areas and a full bath with marble countertop and floor. These sleeping areas are fairly private and separate, but there are no doors. A screen has recently been added for extra privacy on the main bedroom. Downstairs, there is a queen-sized sofa bed with memory foam mattress and 1/2 bath. There are enough beds (shared) for a maximum of 5 guests. The space has been designed, however, to give the most pleasant experience to those parties with 3 or fewer persons. There is a full kitchen with high-end appliances, granite countertops, and copper range hood. For your comfort, ceiling fans are in both the bedroom and living area and all the windows are operable.
Cayuga Heights is a small community, with a large proportion of Cornell faculty, administrators, and others with ties to Cornell. There are a lot of walkers and bikers in the area. Cayuga Heights has many nice homes and gardens, and is in somewhat of a wooded setting.

A beautiful 2 bedroom home in downtown Ithaca. Our house is perfectly located within walking distance to the Commons, a four-block pedestrian shopping area with over 100 unique shops, restaurants, street vendors & street entertainers. Coming to visit Cornell University or Ithaca College? Both are only a 7 minute drive away, or catch the bus from a stop right at the corner.
Enjoy our blazingly fast WiFi, or enjoy Netflix on our 55" 4k TV. In our kitchen you'll find ample cookware, as well as a Bonavita coffeemaker and Nespresso machine for all of your caffeine needs. Also make sure to enjoy our reading room, and two charming, air conditioned bedrooms upstairs. In nice weather, relax, eat or just sip a cup of coffee or tea on the back patio. Note that there's a small in-law unit connected to the house, which I rent out separately.
  • David and George are great hosts! They are incredibly fast responders to questions, and communicate everything and anything you need to know. The house has everything you could need: dishwasher, laundry, pots, pans, staples for cooking, stocked with linens and bathroom needs. The location is great and there are many beautiful walks and drives within close distance.

Our 1 bed/1 bath private room had a complete makeover December 2019. It's equipped with brand new floors and bathroom while maintaining its historic charm. It is located on the 2nd floor of our converted Victorian in downtown Ithaca. This space is 1 of 5 small apartments on floors 2 & 3. We live on the 1st floor with our friendly springer spaniel, Woody. Our house is 3 blocks from the State Theater and the Commons, and bus stops. Cornell and Ithaca College graduation 2-night minimum.
The space is equipped with Queen bed, desk, chair, coffee/tea service/snacks/water, microwave, large hotel sized fridge. Towels, linens are provided. Parking on street or in our driveway is available. Outside grill & use of patio is available in summer. Iron and ironing board available.
Our home is in the residential historic Henry St John neighborhood. 1 of Ithaca's famous creeks runs through our neighborhood. Views of ducks, an occasional heron and other wildlife is just a walk across the street.
  • Great location and perfect for an affordable, clean and short stay

  • Gary and Teresa's place is perfect in a perfect location for exploring downtown Ithaca. Great communication and easy check-in. Recently remodeled and done with a great vision. Will be back. Thanks, Rob n Jen

  • Clean and beautiful room with full bathroom on the second story of a large house, less than 5-minutes' walk away from the Ithaca commons. Confortable bed, great shower, easy check-in. Cast-iron heathers add a great touch to the historic identity of the house, and make their presence felt early in the morning through gentle whistling valves. House is on a quiet street, incredibly close to downtown and to the base of both local and regional bus routes.

    Maria2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for us. Stayed the night to see a show and this place was a very easy walk to The Commons. Parking situation was much better than many areas of Ithaca which was great. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

Welcome to our newly remodeled home in the very desirable Fall Creek neighborhood of Ithaca! This is an excellent location, walkable to the heart of downtown Ithaca and the pedestrian Commons, and minutes away from Cornell, Ithaca College, and our beautiful parks and trails. As Airbnb guests ourselves, we pride ourselves on listing a clean, user-friendly, welcoming space intended to make your visit to Ithaca as enjoyable as possible.
Our place enables you to easily access downtown and Ithaca's relentless local events, or stay in and relax! Either way, we think you will have an enjoyable stay. This is an upstairs apartment* that is the perfect size for one or two people. However, it can accommodate up to four people with the use of the sofa bed. The kitchen is completely remodeled with all new appliances, and is equipped for complete meal prep if you feel like cooking. Head out to our many local restaurants if you don't! (The popular Northstar House is within walking distance.) The bathroom is also newly updated, but we kept the charming claw foot tub. Discounts for weekly and monthly rentals. Please let us know if you have any questions - we look forward to hosting you! *Not sure whether you'd like the upstairs or downstairs apartment? They are very similar, but here are some differences: 1) Downstairs apartment has dedicated off-street parking/the driveway goes with that apartment. There is ample, free parking on the street directly in front of the house, but if you really want a driveway, this is something to consider. 2) Downstairs apartment has a "bonus" room, currently set up as an office/reading room 3) Upstairs apartment has a larger closet/more storage space 4) Upstairs apartment gets more natural light 5) Upstairs apartment has a clawfoot bathtub - charming, but also potentially challenging to get in & out, depending on your mobility. 6) We find that typically, as in all historic homes, the upstairs space tends to be quieter
Fall Creek is a desirable neighborhood in Ithaca with a family-friendly character. PorchFest, Ithaca Festival and Streets Alive! are three local festivals that bring neighbors out on our surrounding streets. Other events in downtown Ithaca include Apple Harvest Festival, Chili Cookoff, Ithaca Ice Festival, Wizarding Weekend, summer music on the Commons & more! Our place is the PERFECT location to enjoy the Ithaca Festival Parade, which passes right by. Parking is a hot commodity but you'll already be in the center of the action!
  • Katherine's and Jia's apartment is clean, well stocked, and comfortable. It is convenient to the Commons, running routes, and the two colleges. We hope to stay there often while our daughter is in college!

    Rosann2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and pleasant stay at Katherine & Jia's place. It is located in a quietneighborhood and just a short walk from a Gimme Coffee! location. It was an easy walk to the commons. We will definitely stay here again!

    Beth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine and Jia's flat is stylish, comfortable and well curated. We loved the soaking tub and the kitchen space. We appreciated the clear labeling of items and my dog loved having a doggy bowl for her food! A gem.

    Lily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We travel a lot and have stayed in many Airbnb’s. This is one of the very best. It was so clean and welcoming. We wished we booked it for more than one night, but we’ll be back!

    Kim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd stay here and it was another fantastic visit. The location is very convenient to downtown Ithaca, the waterfront and Cornell. The kitchen is very well organized with everything labeled and easy to find. The beds are comfortable and the entire place is always spotless. A great home base for exploring the area!

    Stephen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Katherine & Jia’s place. It was very spacious and spotless!

    Gabriela2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place with many thoughtful touches such as reading lamps, tea, coffee, etc. We stayed in the upstairs, the bathroom is off the kitchen (not the bedroom).

    Carlie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is really well located to explore all Ithaca has to offer. I was here for work, and had everything I needed for the fortnight I was here.

The apartment is located in Cayuga Heights, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Ithaca, at one of it's naturally most stunning locations. It is located approximately halfway between the town of Ithaca and Cornell University, with quick access to both. Nearby Collegetown offers diverse and delicious dining options.
  • Very cute place with fantastic views of the waterfall.

    Bronagh2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We knew that the apartment was near one of the waterfalls. We arrived at night. We could hear the water and knew by the sound that it was going to be spectacular, but we could not see anything. The next morning, we were treated to the "best view in Ithaca". I'm sure we will come here again. Next time, I plan to build a fire in the fire pit an enjoy the view.

    Wilbert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at this location a lot since January 2020 while working in the area. Georg is great, good communication, very accommodating. I love that is setup like an apartment and I don’t even see anyone else most of the time. I use the hot tub regularly as well as the fire pit. I can’t wait to stay there again.

    Kevin2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay!! Wonderful view of the waterfall with an amazing hot tub. Perfect for a weekend away with your significant other!

    Kevin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute stay. The view of Ithaca falls right in the backyard was a amazing. Super close to downtown for some walking around and shopping. The hot tub was very relaxing as well. A very cozy comfortable stay.

  • This place is an amazing little get away with a beautiful view. I would definitely love to come back to this place again and spend even more time out there.

    Lauren2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • absolutely beautiful view and property, the rooms were quaint and very spacious, and everything was close by. the hot tub was an added bonus especially since it was single digits during our visit. absolutely would visit again next time i’m in the area!

This is a huge, sun-filled, airy, breezy apartment with original hardwood floors & woodwork, floor to ceiling windows and 10 foot ceilings. It is on the second floor of our historic home in Downtown Ithaca, two blocks away from the Commons. The sun streams in and lights up this space all day long. The three season porch off of the bedroom is the perfect place to unwind anytime with a cocktail or a cup of tea and a book. There is a heater out there in the fall and winter, allowing it to be used year round (this is my favorite room in the whole house!). The main bedroom has a double bed, and the other room has three twin beds (all with new, super comfortable mattresses). We are also able to bring in more beds for bigger groups. Just let us know what works best for you and your group when you book. This apartment can sleep eight; it’s a little tight with all the beds, but it can definitely be done. We’ve done it in the past resulting in very happy guests (Big Hugs to Becky & Crew! ♥️) If you are interested in hosting a party (graduation, wedding, reunion or any other kind of event here), please message me with the details so we can figure out what works best for you and your group!

  • It was nice, the historic home was exactly what you would expect, the only downside is the shower had only two options, really hot or really cold.

    Robert2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Homey feeling place near downtown Ithaca! Sarah’s Place was clean and quiet with thoughtful local touches of decor. Communication was quick. We would definitely stay here again!

    Don2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Charming place to stay, very nice historic home!

    Michael2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice stay, cut short because we had to return home because of COVID 19. But we’d like to use again next time we are in Ithaca

    Andrew2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place is a really great location. Minutes walk from Ithaca Commons. You can experience the entire town by foot! The apartment has wooden character and all the amenities you would need. Bedding with fresh clean cotton sheets and ample stylish woolens. Sarah was really good about communicating in real-time; extremely polite. The apartment is one of several apartments in a big, older house. Wonderful parking, wonderful location. Would recommend this as part of an Ithaca experience to anyone again.

    Levi2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This host had a great location, walking distance From Commons and the State Theatre. There are four beds plus a roll away and a roomy couch, plus a fully equipped kitchen complete with coffee maker and coffee. Perfect for two couples or parents and kids to explore all that Ithaca had to offer. Will book for our next concert event. Plane is decorated in a quirky college/Michigan style. I loved the vintage quilts at the foot of every bed. BTW there is an awesome quilt shop in town.

    Leslie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience and great location.

Enjoy a rural getaway in a private, studio apartment. Located just 10 minutes from Cornell University, 15 minutes from downtown Ithaca, this rental is perfect for those who prefer an alternative to city life. Enjoy our deck, with breath-taking views of Cayuga lake valley and sunsets, as well as a star gazing deck above and soak in the Milky Way. Perfect for the avid bird-watcher as well. While your space is completely private, it is attached to our house and you will hear our family.
This is a studio apartment, with it's own kitchen, and bathroom with a stand-up shower, as well as plenty of towels and linens. It is perfect for a single guest or couple, and a pack n play is available upon request if traveling with an infant or young child, as well as a twin sized inflatable bed. The queen size bed is memory foam and very comfortable. There is a dresser and closet with hangars, iron and ironing board for storing clothes. The apartment is attached to our house, but with it's own private entrance and no shared living space. Therefore, you will hear our kids and our family going about our daily lives. We have a large fenced in backyard, and two decks that you are welcome to enjoy as well. Our two friendly and well trained dogs would love to join you outside, but if you prefer privacy, just let me know when you are coming and going and I can keep them out of your way.
Located on a quiet, dead end street. There is very little traffic.
  • Spotless apartment in Christopher and Theresa’s home. Very close to Cornell and Ithaca but far enough to be quiet. Bed was really comfortable and while we heard the hosts family it wasn’t loud or late at night.

    Jennifer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa's place is my go-to for my frequent trips to Ithaca. It's always a pleasure to stay there!

    Maria2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay if you’re visiting Ithaca!

    Liam2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

    Caralyn2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa’s place is beautiful and clean. What a great place for a restful and relaxing stay!

    Samuel2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very clean and warming. The host offered to have fresh eggs for us in the fridge and was very responsive. They host also very much respected privacy and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend them.

    Garrett2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice living space for those pulling through Ithaca for a night. It features a nice kitchen with amenities. Teresa is nice and responsive. You may hear the family going about their daily lives as this apartment is located below them. There is a small white noise machine for those who like a little noise while they sleep, which was a pleasant surprise. If I was staying in Ithaca again for a single night, I would likely stay again.

    Christian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa was so kind and helpful during the entire process of staying there. She helped me out with a personal project I rented the Airbnb for (which was unbelievably cool of her to do!) and couldn’t have been more communicative and wonderful to my boyfriend and I. We hope to stay at her beautiful location again sometime in the future, and her pups were the sweetest ever!!
