  • Heidi and Patrick created the perfect space for a quiet getaway. They thought of everything and we loved the games around the cabin. We stayed for a little winter retreat, the loft was cozy and the views were beautiful. Don't think about this twice, it's the perfect spot for a quiet retreat.

    Abbey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Great quiet getaway. Could not ask for more. Thank you kindly.

  • Absolutely beautiful place, hosts are kind and very hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Toshie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi's place is in a beautiful location! On the top of a river valley. Please take the time to drive on the country roads around her place - they're beautiful little canyons. In the winter, you need to use an ATV to get there and the heating is not perfect, but it's decorated very quaintly and is plenty warm in the loft for sleeping.

    Mary2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy. Quiet. Beautiful view and so, so relaxing. We brought our three young kids and spent three nights snowed in over Thanksgiving. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful in getting us settled in. It was a wonderful stay.

Experience country life in Southeastern Minnesota. We are located in the beautiful and secluded Wiscoy Valley which straddles the boundaries of Rushford and Winona, MN. Surrounding area includes small towns, rolling valleys, a sparkling creek, and a short drive to the Mississippi River. Located 53 miles from Rochester, MN, 12 from Winona, MN, and 30 from LaCrosse, WI. https://youtu.be/XcBJONwlWZs
This location is ideal for nature enthusiasts and anyone looking to disconnect from technology for a bit. A quiet place for families visiting nearby colleges, healthcare centers, or those just enjoying the area. There is very poor cellphone reception, internet or TV available at the house. There is a landline. It is the perfect reprieve from the hustle & bustle of the world. This house was designed for nature lovers, it is set into a hill with gorgeous views of the valley. The surrounding environment has abundant wildlife, especially during spring bird migrations. Some sightings include, but are not limited to: owls, herons, pileated woodpeckers, hummingbirds, songbirds, and raptors. Wildflowers abound from early spring through fall frost. The house is fully winterized, and the valley has cool breezes to keep you comfortable in the warmer months. This house was built for individuals with chemical sensitivities and has wonderful indoor air quality. There was no plywood (which contains many chemicals) used in the construction of this house (with the exception of in the attic/roof). Every paint, caulk, adhesive, tape, finish, tile (bathroom), etc., was decided on by a natural consultant. The lumber is untreated and the paint does not include any volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The wallboard is magnesiacore which is not hospitable to bacteria, mold, mildew, etc., and is often used in hospital emergency rooms. The foundation (concrete) does not have any additives or drying agents. We do not use insecticides in and around this house.
Wiscoy Valley is a gorgeous snapshot of the Driftless Region. Encompassed by bluffs on all sides, the bluffs mirror the season-- full of life and green during the spring and summer, of vibrant orange, red, and yellow hues during the fall months, and of hoar-frosted, sparkling trees and hills during the winter. Surrounding towns and cities offer seasonal concerts, theatre festivals, museums (i.e. Marine Art Museum), and splendid eateries.
  • Really appreciated the thoughts that went into this place. It was a perfect getaway for us!

    Micah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy's place was a great getaway to disconnect from all the stresses in life. Great way to unwind and read a book, play games and watch the wildlife around the cottage. Definitely recommend staying here. I know I'll be back again!

    Brenda2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • It’s way nicer than pictures show. It’s super cute, cozy, and clean. No WiFi that we could detect but that was actually quite nice. Be prepared for little or no cell phone reception depending on your carrier. It was so nice to be away from all that anyway!! Put down your phones! 😁 After you’ve booked this place, of course. There’s a lot of care and detail that has gone into the structure, cleanliness, and vibe of this house. It’s secluded and pretty private and just a really nice get away. Highly recommended, looking forward to another stay there in the future!

    John2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place. Exactly what we were looking for!

    Amber2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet gem nestled in a gorgeous valley. Staying here was so refreshing, from the tasteful and minimal furnishings to the quiet and peaceful setting. We made pancakes, played board games, and watched birds, deer, and the cows grazing across the road. The house was warm and cozy on this chilly weekend. The small tub/shower arrangement is tricky especially if you're tall, as another review mentioned. All in all, a lovely time. Would recommend for anyone needing a quiet escape.

    Haley2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house is beautiful hide-away that will relax and refresh you. It is spotlessly clean and a great place to spend a weekend to just unwind. Be prepared to be off the grid as there is no cell phone or internet connection available. If you want to get away, this is the place to get away to. We were delighted and will go back for sure.

    John2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful Fall Colors and a very private location, clean & neat cottage.

    Elizabeth2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy’s place is very nice.. we came in late but had no problem finding the place.. there were even some lights left on to help us. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The radio and fan that were available were great touches!

  • Elsie and Lee provide a cozy, comfortable house to stay in. The kitchen, dining, and living room on the main floor provided great space for our family to relax. Three separate bedrooms upstairs gave everyone plenty of privacy and a good night’s sleep. It’s very close to downtown for restaurants, coffee shops, and bakery.

    Dawn2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute space! Lots of room. Easy to find! Close to some good places to eat.

    Angie2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This house was a great space for my family to stay while visiting relatives. There was plenty of room, the kitchen had just about everything I needed, and was very nicely decorated. Elsie and Lee communicated timely and well and were flexible when our plans were possibly changing due to weather concerns. This house provides greatly needed accommodations in Caledonia. We would definitely stay there again!

    Kelly2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly prompt responses with queries to owners - greatly appreciated that. The reading nook & sofa can serve as great place to sleep as well for elderly who might not do well on upstairs steps. My 98 yr old uncle & 94-yr old aunt both slept there to avoid the stairs & did just fine. Very cute house in very cute town!

Experience the beautiful Driftless region with a stay at the Winona Family YMCA's Camp Wenonah Yurt! Camp Wenonah is situated on 140 acres of bluffland located 7 miles outside of Winona. Renters have access to the 5 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Just a stones throw from world class rock and ice climbing, ice fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and so much more! The brand new stove heats the space perfectly for all-season camping. Rental comes with gas powered stove and kitchen kit.
The yurt includes a kitchen kit that has: a gas powered Coleman stove, a pot and pan, cooking utensils, bowls and silverware. Additionally, the yurt includes six cots. Renters will need to bring additional bedding (sleeping bag, blankets, pillows, etc.). The yurt does not come with electricity, however the wood fire stove heats the space perfectly and solar powdered lights help add additional lighting in the yurt for late at night. PLEASE NOTE that you must be capable of lighting a fire in order to properly use the stove. It's important to keep the stove lit when cold to keep the space warm, and regularly stoke the fire throughout the night. If you're not 100% comfortable with making fires, please state so in your message so that we can coordinate a short orientation to the space upon your arrival.
The neighborhood is incredible quiet and serene. While at the YMCA's camp property, you'll have complete access to the outdoor space without interruption from others. Enjoy the great outdoors and the sense of remoteness only seven short miles from the heart of Winona!
  • Host was great, cool experience sleeping in a yurt

    Paul2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lot of fun winter camping at the yurt! Once we got the stove going it was warm enough and we enjoyed playing games and walking and skiing around the property. It was a great way to get out of the city for weekend in nature! For anyone going in the winter, I would bring some warm clothes and warm sleeping bags because it can get chilly in the morning if you haven't kept up with the stove overnight! There's plenty of cookware in the yurt and some games too. The trails around the property are a lot of fun and we even got to do a little bit of cross country skiing around the place. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a winter adventure who's not quite ready for full winter camping!

    Audrey2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful location and made for such a fun experience!

    Tricia2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the Yurt for a quick one night getaway from the city. The land that it's on is beautiful, quiet, and remote even though it's just a few minutes to Winona. The cast-iron stove keeps it nice and toasty and the cots are comfortable. We would definitely return.

    Adam2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying in this yurt! I enjoy camping and backpacking, but have not been able to convince my girlfriend to sleep in a tent (yet). This was the perfect mix of outdoors I love, with the creature comforts she needed. There is some hiking right from the yurt, as well fun antiquing in town and plenty more to do in the area. Highly recommend

    Kevin2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is perfect. It’s private and rustic yet minutes away from town. Loved it!!!

    kelly2019-10-09T00:00:00Z

Looking for a getaway? Come to the Creekside cabin just outside city limits to test out "Tiny House Living"! All the amenities of home only smaller. This is a great place! Trails also great for walking/4 wheeling/biking. Please note: you are not by yourself. We live on the property Pets not allowed.
You will have the entire cabin to yourself. The spiral staircase will take you to the 2nd floor and another staircase to reach the 3rd floor bedroom area. Low headroom on 3rd floor bedroom due to A frame style cabin.
we are minutes away from town, lakes to ride your bikes however, offer a country quiet setting. We do also have a large garage to the right of the cabin. We do have a renter that has lived in the upstairs of the garage.

  • What a cozy little place to call "home" for a few days! Everything was exactly as advertised. Tanya responded to texts within seconds and to needs within minutes. It was wonderful to come back from a day of great shoulder season hiking to a warm fire, a good book and some quiet rest. Plus, Bruno is a gentle giant who lived up to the hype!

Our home/cabin is up along the bluffs allowing eagle eye views of the Mississippi River. A perfect quiet place to take everything in. There are three bedrooms intended for large families or group get-aways. Everything is at your fingertips from beaches, to hikes in the bluffs. It is 3 miles south of Winona. While you can see the river, there is easy access to public landing if you choose to bring a boat to partake in the various islands and water sports.

Welcome to Winona, Minnesota. Scenic views, majestic water, and natural beauty at this river oasis. This is only a glimpse into what you'll witness as a guest at River's Edge Cottage, a prime riverfront property directly on the Mississippi River. This vacation home is nestled between the bluffs and the river, just 4 miles south of the city of Winona.
Ten Reasons to Stay at River’s Edge Cottage: 1. You get to have a sleepover!! Up to 5 guests can stay on this riverfront property. If you want to add additional guests or stay an additional night, please contact us. We will take the reservation into consideration and revise your stay and cost on a case by case basis. 2. This is your home during your stay so please treat it well. Food should be eaten in the dining room, kitchen or outside. At the end of your stay, you get to take all your food with you (don’t forget anything). This includes both perishable and non-perishable food as well as beverages. 3. When enjoying the outdoors, shoes are completely optional. However, please remove your shoes for the main level of the cottage. Shoes can be worn in the basement. 4. We want to make each guest’s stay memorable and you play a role in that too. Please clean up after yourself. Don’t use every towel just because one is there. The cleaner you leave your home away from home, the easier it will be to get it ready for future guests. 5. We love pets, but unfortunately NO pets can come for a visit or stay overnight. We have a dog that we’ll be bringing there, and we’d rather not worry about any pet marking his/her territory. 6. No smoking on the premises. We frequently stay there with our three young boys, when guests aren’t there of course. We don’t want them picking up anything leftover from a previous guest’s stay. Thanks for understanding. 7. Accidents do happen. Try not to break anything but if by slim chance something does break; don’t hesitate to tell us. Chances are it’s replaceable or may not be your fault. 8. The doors have locks on them. Yeah! Please lock the doors anytime you leave the premises, especially since it’s your home during your stay. You are responsible for the property and its contents during your stay. 9. The garage and all contents within it are off limits to guests. We keep our personal property in there that is not to be used by guests. We also have a personal family boat in the driveway. It is also off limits to guests. 10. We welcome any comments or suggestions. If you see any improvements to make your stay better or a future guest’s stay please let us know. If you’ve enjoyed your stay and think we’re doing a good job tell your friends and share your experience on Airbnb! • Great views of the river and occasional wildlife. A great place to relax.

    David2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view of the river, nice and spacious for the whole family and only a 5 min drive to the city! All of my family members raved that it was much better than a hotel!

    Amanda2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house has a lovely view of the Mississippi River and allowed our family to spend time together, away from WiFi, just hanging out and playing games. Great and comfy places to sit and look outside. The train was a bit loud as it is directly behind the house, but we got used to hearing it and it wasn't an issue. Janel is very responsive and was always willing to help us out with anything we needed.

    Gina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The photos of the view are beautiful — the actual view is even more so. So much is outstanding about this place — view, location, amenities. We hosted a family Thanksgiving here and found the kitchen was well equipped to support the effort. Great host communication and accommodation. We found the patio and entry way cleared of snow when arrived the day after a snowstorm.

    John2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great access to the river and water play or fishing. Lots of space to spread out inside and out. Clean and organized. Be prepared for a constant stream of trains but luckily no whistle. Perfect for a getaway, especially if you have kids.

    Jesse2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place with great views of the river. Janel was on top of things from the moment I booked until we left. Not great for light sleepers as the trains are pretty constant and run day and night.

    Chad2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The views of the Mississippi and the stars were wonderful. The house was clean and comfortable, and it is a quick drive to Winona. We would definitely stay here again.

    Jennifer2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view! Loved that there were some movies & toys available. A very clean cottage and everything was labeled. Clear instructions for check in and check out. Would definitely visit again😊

  • Annual family girl’s weekend in LaCrosse - we were age 15 to 86. We took “the road less traveled” this time and it was beyond amazing. Everything we hoped for and more. An great kitchen for cooking and hanging out and plenty of space for eating and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Priyesh was an amazing from day 1 of booking until after we left. He had instant responses and fabulous tips for us about the area. The house was more than we dreamed of - big, spacious, but cozy and felt just like home. “Bob” as the teens called him is our new best friend. Don’t worry you won’t be allergic to him and he doesn’t make a peep. I highly recommend this big beautiful house in this quaint town for your get away! We can’t wait to go back!

  • Tammy has the best customer service. She was out of town at the time that I stayed with her but checked in regularly. Beautiful Country setting in a beautiful little village.

    Vickie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a great little get away spot. It was awesome seeing the 8 deer and eagles in the back yard. The horses were very friendly to my dog. Overall, I would recommend this Airbnb if you looking for a quite, peaceful and pleasant getaway. The host is very responsive. Thank again!

    Jessica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at Tammy's place several times and are never disappointed.

    Tammy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a big two-story "ranch" style house with a wide front porch and a saddle just inside the front door. It is nestled in a quiet little valley in the bluffs just 10 minutes west of Winona. Tammy uses no scented detergent in her linens, so it is perfect for those of us who are chemically sensitive. Tammy is attentive in a very low-key way, kindly offering tea and privacy. Best to visit the horses when they are hungry for treats, rather than right after their breakfast!

    Hilda2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was my wife and I's first experience here on Airbnb. We can't tell you enough how amazing it was for us to be spending a week at Tammy's place! We needed a place to crash before our lease at our new apartment started. She was such an amazing host! Her hospitality was beyond amazing! She have the cutest cat on the planet, Goulash, who spent a night or two in our room (which we let him because he is so adorable!). Tammy also have 2 horses, Charlie and Sugar. She let us help her move them and it was an amazing experience! Also, Tammy made some custard and she let us have some and it was delicious! Overall, Tammy is a sweet lady! We can tell because of how caring she was to everyone in her house. She was such a good role model for us, too! We will miss this place!

    Hunter2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic getaway with country charm. Tammy communicated quickly and prepared such a welcome within her beautiful home. Be sure to say hello to Sugar, Charlie and Goulash. We'd definitely stay there again!

  • We enjoyed a calm and relaxing stay, as well as the beautiful scenery on the property. Tammy was very welcoming and made sure we had all of our questions answered before we arrived. Per her suggestion, we hiked SugarLoaf Trail in Winona. It was perfect this time of year!

This 6,300 sf house sits on 18 wooded acres and overlooks the Mississippi. The main floor is a brightly lit ranch with amazing views out every window with a Master that sleeps 2. The downstairs walkout has 3 bedrooms that sleep 6+. No pets allowed
Our house sits on a bluff surrounded by a wooded valley. When you stand on the driveway you feel like you are completely completely isolated from the world. Enter through the front door and an amazing view of the Mississippi valley jumps right out at you. Whether in the kitchen, the living room or the master bedroom, every room has large windows that show the splendor of the Mississippi bluff country and the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge across the river in Wisconsin. On the main floor is the kitchen that connects to the Family Room and a three seasons room that accesses the deck. In the middle of the main floor is a Library, a Dining Room and a large Living Room that has sliders opening up to the deck. At the other end of the main floor is the Master Bedroom wing with a king size bed, an attached Nursery that has a double twin Trundle bed, a large Master Bath with both shower and tub, plus another enclosed three seasons room that has access out to the deck. There are two formal bedrooms downstairs both with a queen beds. There is an exercise/game room that has a double bed in it so it can be used as a bedroom. There is a large open space Game room with a piano and a bar that could easily accommodate extra people. The house is listed as accommodating 12 and we have beds for 10, but the two twins are part of a trundle bed off the master suite. These are more appropriate for kids staying with their parents. Two additional people can sleep on a pull out bed in the Library and two could also sleep on the Living Room couches or they can sleep in sleeping bags and twin mattresses in the downstairs. The list pricing is based on up to six people to keep it affordable. We charge extra per person per night for people up to 12. Come see the trees blossom in the spring, or sit on the deck (high enough up that there are few mosquitoes) during the summer and look for some of our resident Bald Eagles soaring over the Mississippi River while the tugs push barges up the river. The fall colors rival anything in the Northeast, and the winter views are magical while curled up in front of a fire. Come to relax, to heal or to re-energize your life.
Our house is in a little hamlet called Homer, but Winona is only 3 miles away. There is public access to the Mississippi right below the house for canoes or kayaks. The neighborhood bar The Black Horse is just around the corner. They serve food and drink with occasional live entertainment on the weekends. FULL DISCLOSURE: The house sits on a bluff above the river. Between the property and the river is Old Homer Road, then US 61, then the Canadian Pacific rail line, last is the Mississippi. During the summer and fall you cannot see either road and hear very little, if any, road noise. The rail line is one of the two main rail lines that run up either side of the river. They are active with freight trains and Amtrak goes by twice a day. You will hear the trains if you are sitting on the deck facing the river or have the windows open, but they no longer blow their horns for the crossings in this section. We consider this part of activity around the river valley, just like the tug boats and barges that move up and down the river. The trains are not running constantly and most of the time you will find the property and house to be very quiet and peaceful.
  • Amazing house and stunning views of the Mississippi valley!

    Joel2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway and to explore the area. The house is comfortable and the views are fantastic. Check-in was easy and Russ was quick to respond to any questions. We were worried about getting up and down the steep drive because a snow storm hit the day we arrived, but Russ had someone come come to clear the driveway and salt both days that we were there. We would definitely stay here again, and would love to come back in the fall.

  • A great place for a family gathering, with plenty of common spaces as well as spaces to get away from the hubbub. Place was well stocked with amenities and an honesty bar. Amazing view and close to Winona and outdoor activities. Was very easy to communicate with Russ and directions for the house were easy to follow. Would highly recommend this property for rental.

This is the upper level of the house located in Trempealeau right off of the Great River State Trail and Perrot State Park. It is 2 miles away from the Mississippi River and the Lock and Dam. Other attractions in Trempealeau include Elmaro Winery, Eckers Apple Orchard, the Wild Life Refuge and the Historic Trempealeau Hotel.
This is a family house with 2 parents and 3 kids. The kids are all either in or out of college and don't permanently live at the house, so they are rarely there. However, sometimes all members of the family will be at the house during the stay. Don't worry it is a very large house and even when we are all home there is plenty of space for all of us and you. This space in the house has a bonus room (bedroom 1) that has 1 queen bed, 7 twins beds, a couch and love seat, and 2 floor mattresses. It also has a table and chairs and several sitting chairs. It is a VERY large room over the 3 car garage. The bonus room is connected to another room (bedroom 2) that has 1 full bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 twin bed. There is an additional room upstairs (bedroom 3) that has 1 queen bed and a twin bed. The two rooms upstairs are connected by a bathroom that would be yours to use. This bathroom is also for people who stay in the bonus room to stay as well. The Upper Level also has a second bathroom attached to our son's room that is available for very large groups over 9. His room also has a king, a full and a twin bed. If he is not home and you have a very large group I will open this space to you. We also have floor and air mattresses that we can use to accommodate larger groups of people. There is also a workout room in the basement of the house for you to use if you would like. In the basement there is room for 10 + people, however that room is seen on another listing, “House in Trempealeau Lower Level.” If you would like to rent out both spaces you can do so. Let us know in your request. In all the house has 23 beds, 2 floor mattresses, and 2 couches and can sleep a total of 40 people.
The Great River Trail is out our front door and you look out at State Park from our front porch.
  • This place was perfect for two curling teams. Will definitely stay again in the future.

  • This was our second stay in Trempealeau, and it was just as great as the first. We had more than enough space for our 8-month-old and our dog to play and stretch out. Patty is kind and welcoming, but we still felt like we had a private space. We plan to make it an annual stop on our road trip!

    Katie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with our 8-month-old baby and our 1.5-year-old black lab. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival and had everything we needed (including a pack and play!) right at our fingertips. We are staying again next week and are looking forward to the next!

  • Amazing location and local tips from Patty and Mike to help you make the most of it. Very comfortable spaces for our big group. Their communication was top notch. Highly recommend.

  • The upstairs space was roomy and comfortable, and Patty and Mike were very welcoming and kind. A great location too!

  • Staying with Patty and Mike was great. We had a group of 13 for a bachelor party and everyone had a bed. Communication back and forth was very easy. The thing I have to say most though is the hospitality. Patty was up early and made some coffee for our group and was genuinely interested in getting to know our group. We were at a festival Patty and Mike were working at and they made a point to find us there and offered food and were very welcoming. We'll be sure to book with them again next year!

  • Great find! We got the whole upstairs to ourselves. Patty was very helpful showing us around and giving us great local recommendations. Right next door to Perrot State Park and a 2 minute drive into downtown. Would highly recommend!

Briggs Farm is a family-owned outdoor adventure and event destination encompassing 560 acres of wooded bluffs, meadows, farmland, and creek bottoms. The farm was one of the first in Winona County; today, the Briggs family maintain a small herd of grass-fed beef cattle on the farm, but most of the property is managed to attract wildlife. Whether you’re coming for a one-day event or staying a week, host Steve Briggs wants you to have the best experience possible.
This is a rustic country farmhouse that sleeps up to ten in three bedrooms and on a fold-out bed in a common space off the living room. The home includes all the essentials: bath, shower, full kitchen, dining area, satellite television (okay, that last one might not be "essential," but nice on a winter evening). The farmhouse, which dates to the 1930s, is decorated with a mix of modern amenities and antiques. The house includes a porch, a deck, and beautiful views onto the bluffs of Cedar Valley. See our extensive photo gallery here, or the video tour of the farmhouse on our website, for more details.
Cedar Valley features the Cedar Valley Country Club three miles down the road, with dining and golf. Winona, 25 minutes by car, features two universities, many activities, festivals, and shopping.
  • The farm is lovely and private. Steve made everything easy and simple. We loved having the dogs and cat around and it was fun every morning waking up and seeing the chickens, sheep, and cows. Scenery is gorgeous. Great place, especially if you have business in Winona but want to stay somewhere more private.

  • Had a great stay at the farm. Loved the animals, and the setting amid the bluffs is stunning. Steve was a super friendly host and great communicator too.

  • Beautiful scenery and quiet, blissful ambiance. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days and enjoy the comforts and hospitality of the driftless region! Steve was very flexible and helpful during our stay! Highly recommend!

  • The peaceful, remote setting surrounded by wooded bluffs and livestock was exactly the escape that our city dwelling family was looking for! We made memories that will last a lifetime, and my daughter will never forget the dogs!

  • Our family would definitely go back! It was exactly what we hoped for. Lots to do, relaxing, and very cozy. Steve was a very helpful host-great communication!

  • We had a wonderful 2 night late summer stay at Steve's place. The house has a cool, quirky, funky, old-timey charm with comfortable modern touches. Our 2 year old daughter loved chasing the chickens, talking to the sheep and cows and playing with the friendly dogs. The view from the front porch is stunningly beautiful. We would definitely stay again at Steve's place

  • Great authentic farm. Homey

  • A beautiful location in SE Minnesota nestled in a valley with a small trout stream running through the front of the property. The farmhouse was rustic but very clean. It is very much a working farm with animals (and animal sounds) throughout the day and night. The dogs were superb and a delight to hang out with! T-Mobile service did not work there. We were there for a relaxing getaway and that is what we got.
