Great cabin decor, very clean and relaxing.
Great quite area just a few minutes away from hiking, hunting and fishing on forest service land. Clark Fork river and Lake Pend Oreille access is within 10 minutes. 20 minute drive to some great restaurants in Hope. Great place to relax.
  • Kevin’s log cabin was a perfect getaway! Just what we were looking for. Truly enjoyed our stay in the woods.

  • Amazing little cabin tucked away in a beautiful forest; far enough away from things to get disconnected, but close enough to head into town for any needs. House itself was beautiful. As others have mentioned, there were some missing kitchen supplies, but a minor inconvenience at such a beautiful place. We hope to visit again!

    Rick2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and enjoy a beautiful cabin. Will be coming again :) Highly recommend!

  • Stunning cabin retreat and a great value! Wish our stay had been longer. Confirm kitchen basics with host if you plan on doing much cooking and supplement accordingly.

  • House was very clean

    Kristina2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely would stay here again only issue we had was not much cooking items.

  • Kevin's cabin was a delightful and peaceful respite in the midst of our cross country journey. The cabin is as spacious as it is cozy and the tasteful decor made us instantly feel relaxed and at home. I would recommend Kevin's place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway in the woods.

  • Nicolette was incredibly accomodating and she and Russell really made us feel welcomed and comfortable! The home is beautiful - both inside and out! You really get the Montana experience on their beautiful home in Heron. Nicolette even provided delicious breakfasts each morning and made baked goods for us! Their list of options for hiking was more than enough to satiate our hunger for some wilderness adventure, and we slept so well each night. I highly recommend you stay with Nicolette in Heron if you are looking for a place to stay to enjoy your time in Montana!

    Hailey2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nicholette and her husband are kind and gracious. They are a pleasure to talk to and she is a wonderful cook. The house is beautiful and clean and comfortable. They definitely exceeded my expectations

    Tessa2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful home and atmosphere! Russel and Nicolette pay attention to every detail and provided us with over the top hospitality. Nicolette is an amazing cook — don’t miss the chance to enjoy her baked goods! The room is comfortable, clean, and well appointed. They are amazing hosts and are a delightful to talk to. This is more than just a place to stop over for a night...it’s a memorable experience and was the high point of our trip. Simply wonderful.

    Jane2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolette’s place was a little slice of heaven. We loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed more than one night. Our communication from Nicolette was prompt, clear and welcoming. Our room was clean and simple, but fully equipped. There were fresh cookies to welcome us. The space was peaceful. Our favourite part was the amazing wrap around deck with table and chairs to eat our dinner, as well as a hammock and porch swing. Breakfast was delicious and made to order, even with our dietary restrictions. We are grateful and hope to be back.

    Steven2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Nicolette's place during our trip to Montana and Idaho. We loved it. It's a spacious house; our room was comfortable, we had access to everything we needed. The view in every direction was amazing. It was also very quiet. We had breakfast in the morning, which was very good. Nicolette also shared helpful tips about what to do in the area (hiking, and places to eat in the nearby town). It was a great trip for us. We would definitely recommend Nicolette as a great host.

    Sergiu2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • For anyone wanting to experience the peace and beauty that western Montana has to offer this place is a must. We got to celebrate our anniversary here and Nicolette made us feel very at home. The views from their sliver of paradise were awesome and we spent a lot of time on their covered deck just taking it all in. For breakfast we had incredible meals that accommodated for my lactose free diet. The stay was very comfortable and Nicollette went out of her way to print out some neat hiking options in the area that we were able to enjoy. We're definitely looking forward to the next time we get to stay here on our travels down Highway 200!

This is truly a Gem! With such relaxing creek sounds, and the unique, charming woodwork and rustic finishing touches inside and out. There is a short, easy trail to the creek, an alpine lake less than an hours hike away. The Clark Fork River Delta is just down the road, and Lake Pend Oreille is less than 8 miles away. The property is backed up to Kaniksu National Forest and the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness area. Glacier National Park is a 3 1/2 hour drive East. Love Nature? This is it.
Situated in the mountains of North Idaho a short drive from Sandpoint, Lake Pend Orielle, and the recreation areas of Hope, Cabinet Mountians, and the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. Our one bedroom log cabin is rustic, but clean, warm and comfortable. No big screen tv and cell phone reception is sketchy, but there is wireless internet, a fully equipped kitchen, central heat and nature just outside the door. You will have the house to yourself but I will most likely be nearby on the property. Winter visitors can expect quiet seclusion. The house is centrally heated and it is warm and cozy, (no fireplace). The road is plowed by the county, but 4 wheel drive is advised. Snowmobilers will find access to forest service land outside the door, and groomed trails up Trestle Creek (10 miles away) and across the Clark Fork River 3 miles away. Snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing just outside the door. The resort town of Sandpoint is 25 miles away and Ski Resort Schweitzer Mountain is 8 miles from there.
  • Ken is very responsive to communication and made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend.

  • A great place to enjoy the nature and enjoy this place with so many interesting details in the house.

  • The house is a beautiful handcrafted home with even more beautiful surroundings, a trail and creek, and even a rope swing and a zip line! The fresh eggs were delicious and the property is very welcoming. The perfect getaway spot.

  • Great place to stay, especially since we were hiking Schotcman’s peak, it was only a few miles from the trailhead.

  • Awesome cabin in the woods!!

    Jason2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ken’s cabin was a great little get away from the hustle and bustle of our normal lives. The cabin had sweet little touches that made you feel at home. I would 10/10 recommend staying here!

    Ashley2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great, both my wife and I enjoyed Kens cabin. His hospitality was amazing, goes above and beyond. We felt really bad for leaving our dogs unintended in his cabin while we went out for dinner. There was no house rules against it, we should have checked with Ken. Luckily Ken was understanding and our dogs behaved well. The area and trails right by the cabin were amazing and Ken does a fantastic job of upkeeping them. We are excited to one day come back to the cabin.

Hi Friends! We would love for you to come join us at our spacious property here in Big Sky Country. This is rustic country living on the Clark Fork River.
  • We were so happy with the pleasant, quiet, clean accommodations near Heron Montana. It has 3 nice bedrooms and two full baths upstairs as well as a 1/2 bath downstairs and an office type room with a futon for extra sleeping space. They were so kind to show us around upon arrival even though it was late. The new washer and dryer were great and the kitchen was stocked very nicely. The view out the front was beautiful across the river. We will be back!

  • If you are looking for a quiet, family friendly retreat with stunning views, this is the place. The home is very comfortable, clean and well appointed with all new appliances and an incredibly well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit and hearing the roosters morning crow with our 2 year old granddaughter. One of the best stays at air bnb ever.

  • The last resort is the most magical get away. The pictures can’t capture the beauty that is all around. Cathy has taken care of every detail 😀

    Beth2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place! The Last Resort is clean and well appointed. Cathy is a gracious host who is full of great tips about things to see and do while you are in the area. Our weekend there (end of September) just happened to be the first snow of the season, so it was a little too cold to play in the water! We plan to return next summer when we can enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking in the beautiful Clark Fork River. Thank you Cathy!

    Pamela2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This property is just amazing!! So beautiful and relaxing. Perfect get-a-way for two.

  • Cathy's cabin is in a great and peaceful location. The river is beautiful and it was a joy just to sit outside and watch nature. Easy access for our kayak launch too. Cathy was a friendly host that went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

  • Thanks for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us. We loved sitting by the outside fire watching the fish jump and looking up at the stars.

    Aaron2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • We wish we could have booked this place for an extra night! The location is incredible! You’re right along the river, there’s a perfect place along the lake to make a fire and relax, or you can enjoy the view from the kitchen, living room, and the bed. I couldn’t stop staring at how beautiful it was. The bed was super comfy, the heater worked great and kept us warm. Cathy was a wonderful host and made sure we were happy. She greeted us right when we got there and we had a great time talking to her. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

    Nicki2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and very peaceful! The perfect place to stop the outside world and "recharge the batteries". The cabin is cozy, clean and comfortable and Cathy is a wonderful host- available should you need anything yet respects your privacy and allows you to be "one with the beauty that surrounds you." Looking forward to many more visits in her little piece of Heaven. Thank you Cathy!😊

There area mountain views from every window in the cabin. The landscape near the cabin is still in process, but the natural landscape has its own beauty. Outdoor enthusiasts of all types will enjoy this as a basecamp of sorts. You can ski or snowboard at Schweitzer, raft the Kootenai River, float or fish the Bull River, ride atvs, ride snowmachines, hike the many trails and mountain lakes nearby. Hunters and fisherman alike would be in heaven in this location. We have seen moose, bear, deer, turkey, big horn sheep, elk, eagles and many other little critters on the property. Our favorite thing to do in the summer is put the folding chairs in the river and have an ice cold drink while watching the surrounding beauty.

This Unassuming Backyard Restaurant In Idaho Is Actually A Culinary Gem Shhh, we’ve got a secret for you. Idaho is one of the most underrated foodie destinations in the world. It’s true. Our state may not be known for world-class dining options, but believe us…they’re here! You just have to go out and find them. Sometimes you accidentally stumble upon a culinary gem without even trying. That’s what most people experience when they dine at this charming backyard restaurant. This place may not look like a five-star restaurant. Heck, it doesn’t even look like a restaurant at all. However, you’re about to find out that there is much more this place than how it appears. Nestled at the very top of state's panhandle is the utterly beautiful town of Clark Fork. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and with a population of just 500 people, Clark Fork is like a little slice of heaven in north Idaho. City of Clark Fork/Facebook The town is situated upon the banks of the majestic Clark Fork River. The natural beauty is this small town's pride and joy, and it's been well-known among Idahoans as an ideal recreation destination. It's certainly not known for their culinary scene. However, it should be. jar/Flickr Travelers passing through Clark Fork often find themselves driving down 4th street which is the main road in town. They may spot the bright red house on the side of the road that boasts signs saying "beer garden" and "Open for dinner" and decide to stop for a quick bite to eat. googleMaps The Squeeze Inn doesn't look like much. Situated in what seems to be a small house, it barely even looks like a restaurant. However, you're about to find that this place is a true culinary treasure hiding in a small mountain town. artdirect_11/TripAdvisor Inside, the environment is cozy and inviting. They say the restaurant received its name because guests have to quite literally "squeeze in" once inside! On a weekend, the dining room is filled with the sounds of live music and smell of delicious food in the air. Squeeze Inn/Facebook Most patrons are surprised when they receive the dinner menu. Duck breast? Calamari steak? Homemade ravioli? This definitely isn't your run-of-the-mill small town food. It's obvious the restaurant's owner has a passion for bringing good food to Clark Fork. artdirect_11/TripAdvisor The patio area is perfectly quirky and charming. The vibe of this place is certainly unique! However, there's really no place you'd rather be on a warm summer evening. parrotheadnica/TripAdvisor As is true of many small town restaurants, Squeeze Inn definitely has some eccentricities. However, the food speaks for itself and rivals the experience you would have at any "city restaurant". The next time you're in Clark Fork, be sure to stop by.
  • Janet is a fantastic host and made us feel so incredibly welcome. We came over to visit family and had and absolutely fantastic two weeks staying at Janet’s - Thank you.

    Lucy2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Janet communicated with us very well before we left our home but the cell service in Clark Fork is not very good. Janet made sure we knew how to reach her when we arrived in town and she was very helpful once we got there. The apartment was in a quite location of the very small town. The apartment, appliances and furnishings were older but was clean and comfortable. There was all the utensils there to cook with but we did not do any cooking. The bed was a queen size and the mattress was on the firm side but we still got a good nights sleep. If you are looking for a small and cozy place then I would definitely recommend this place.

Ask any ❓❔❓s We hope you pick ⛏ us, as we'd be lucky ☘ to host you ☺ Safe Travels ✈⛽⛴
The Kelly Caboose will provide you and your partner/family with an unforgettable experience. This 1974 Burlington Northern Caboose has been fully updated with comfortable sleeping arrangements and modern amenities. It sits on a 1 acre property surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest and near the Clark Fork River. Outside enjoy a large firepit, yard games, an unforgettable outside shower, and the slack shack! You truly don't want to miss the opportunity to stay in the unique Kelly Caboose. Parking: When you turn left off of Highway 200 on to Blue Jay Lane, you will drive past a cabin right on the corner, passed a couple outbuildings, and then you will see the Caboose on the left hand side. There is a space to pull in and park right up near the Caboose. Entering the Caboose: From where you park, the left side of the train is where you enter. Go up to the metal stairs that lead you up toward the front door. These tears are metal and fairly steep. So please be careful on them. Especially if you got kiddos with you. Inside the caboose: See pictures for a better explanation of all of this. But, I'll explain the space as best I can here. We have fit a lot into the Caboose, trying to provide as many amenities as we can without making it feel to cramped. Just inside the door on the left is a part of the little kitchenette. There is a microwave and Keurig coffee maker there. And the dresser are silverware and dishware. The Shelf up above can be used for your food items. There's a mini fridge to the right of the dresser for you refrigerated items. Across from this is the one small sink in the Caboose. There is only cold water ran to this sink. If you are planning on cooking something more than what can be done in the microwave, outside in the slack Shack there is a gas BBQ Grill, a charcoal or Wood Fired Grill, and an electric skillet in the white metal cabinet. Out there is also another small sink you can use for food prep. This sink also only has cold water and it drains into a basin that you have to empty once it is full. Next to the kitchenette is a dining table with a couple bench seats. Perfect for two people, four people can fit but it would be a little tight. Above the table is a flat screen TV hooked up to a Blu-ray player. There will be a few DVDs in there as well. Across from the TV is a small loveseat to snuggle up on two and watch a movie. Next to the love seat is is one of the two small electric radiator heaters that is used to heat the Caboose. The other one is in the bed room toward the back. Adjust the thermostat on those to your desired Comfort level. Next to the heater we have our check-in area with your Wi-Fi network information and a guest book. Please share your experience with us in the guestbook. It is one of my favorite parts of Hosting on Airbnb, to hear the stories of our guests who stay with us. Across from this area is the Wood-Fired stove. Please use this with Extreme Caution. There will be wood in the little closet to the left of the stove. Also if you need more wood there is some over by the outdoor shower calm around the corner there is a large pile of firewood. If you need more heat then what the electric heaters are putting off you can start a fire in the stove. It heats the entire caboose real well and real fast. Please make sure if you use the stove too prevent as much as possible the smoke from coming out of the front of the stove into the Caboose. Past the stove is the cupola with the two twin mattresses on top on either side and storage closets below. One of the closets has your firewood, one of the closets has cleaning supplies and extra toilet paper, and the other two closets can be used by you for your personal belongings period in one of those two closets there is a handbag with some towels and washcloths for you to use at the outdoor shower. The two twin mattresses up above can be accessed by the little stairs leading up to them. Each side has a light and power cord for charging devices or whatever else. Also, each side has a window that can be opened up. These windows do not have screens and are high up, so make sure caution is used when they are open especially if children are up there. please make sure nobody is hanging out these windows, as this it's very dangerous. There are railings at the edge of these two beds to prevent anyone from Rolling off in their sleep. Past the cupola is the main bedroom. In here is one queen size bed, and two little lamps on two log side tables. Also in this room is the toilet. There is a sliding curtain you can close for privacy, but there are no doors or walls around the toilet. It doesn't make for the most comfortable situation having the toilet in the bedroom in the same room, but it's the only place we could fit it into the Caboose and it's private enough with the curtains you can close. There are also some sheer curtains you can close off the bedroom from the rest of the train. Out the back of the bedroom there is a door to the back porch. Again, there's some steep metal stairs off of this porch, so be careful there. But you can go out on this porch and enjoy a really nice view of the mountains and back side of the property. Outside: Firepit (use extreme caution! Some times of year fires are restricted, so please make sure you check on this before having a fire). Horseshoe pits. Slack shack (our outdoor kitchen and entertainment space. There's an outdoor shower over by the outbuilding, you can see it from the front door of the caboose. Be careful, this might be the best shower you've ever taken ;) After your stay, please leave us a 5-star review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐if you think we deserved it! If you don't think we deserved it or if we dropped the ball on something (we try hard not to, but it does happen from time to time), please leave us feedback through a message on the app. We are always open to hearing how we can do better as hosts and create a better experience for our guests. Thanks so much for considering The Kelly Caboose for your stay in Noxon, Montana! Matt and Ahni 4 kids: Izac, Ileana, Alli, and Ellamae 2 dogs: Max and Raider Cheers!
The area is amazing. We are situated in the middle of the Kootenai National Forest, at the base of the Cabinet Mountain Range, and very near the Clark Fork River. The outdoor activities available around this property are endless. Down about a half a mile from the property is an RV park. There are a lot of RVs and cars that run up and down the road that borders our property and leads down to that Park. The other side of our property is bordered by Highway 200, so there is always a steady stream of traffic right there. We don't have many neighbors, as the properties are large and spread out around here. But the few neighbors around us are great and helpful. Down the street from our property is the Big Sky pantry. You must check this place out. They have a fantastic Deli and homemade baked goods. They also serve breads that they bake in house, have local farm fresh eggs, and sell bulk items. They also have an espresso bar. This place is fantastic, you must check it out.
  • This place is great. Super unique. Would stay here again. mike the property keeper is awesome also.

  • This caboose rental is a very cool and unique experience, very clean and easy to find. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer.

  • Loved the unique opportunity to spend a night in the caboose! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a different type of camping experience.

  • Super fun and unique place to stay!

  • Cool place to stay. Great for people who don’t want to camp, but do want an outdoor-zy experience.

    Zack2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fun place to stay! Loved the bunk beds in the cupola. Matt and Ahni were very kind and helpful.

    Katherine2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun experience!! Our boys were so excited to sleep on an actual train! We were pleasantly surprised at how everything we needed was strategically placed in the caboose. We all slept great...even as it rained all night long! There are loads of fun things to do outside if you've got kids with you. There is space to run around and yard games to play. There aren't many dinner options if you get in late and hope to grab to-go food...the Hereford Restaurant still comes up online as a nearby option, but it is actually closed and for sale. Plan ahead as far as food goes, and you will be all set. Thank you for an excellent stay Matt!

Rustic Pine Log Cabin is on an Island in the middle of Bull Lake, with great views, restaurant/dining in the area, also boat dock conveniently located on the island. You’ll love the Rustic Pine Cabin because of the coziness, the high ceilings, the views, and the Great "Big Sky" Montana feeling. Rustic Pine is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (small dogs considered). To have a true "Montana Experience" you can't beat a Log Cabin.
This is a "5" star Rustic cabin with modern amenities, not a "5" star Resort. The area offers over 2 million acres of public lands for outdoor recreation use. The Kootenai National Forest has hundreds of miles of hiking trails and many scenic places, with wildflowers and huckleberries nearby. High mountain lakes, miles of streams, and the Kootenai River beckon the angler. 90-mile long Lake Koocanusa is a major attraction to boaters and lake fishermen. The area has great hunting for deer, elk, moose, bear and mountain sheep with many local Outfitters & Guides available for out-of-state fun seekers. The area has a small downhill ski area, and miles of back-country roads for X-Country skiing and snowmobiling. Whatever the season, there's plenty of things to do here!
Bull Lake is a pristine lake located west of Libby and just south east of Troy about 15 miles. It is located near the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. The lake is primarily private ownership. There is 37% Public Land. The surface area is 1,162.4 acres. Shore line of 12.1 miles. The lake is 64 feet at maximum. Elevation on the lake is 2319 feet. To reach this lovely area drive on Hwy. 2 to state Hwy. 56. Take Hwy 56, drive about 15 miles, and Angel Island is marked with a road sign. The lake contains various types of trout (Brook, Cutthroat, Lake, Rainbow) and pike.
  • Cozy log cabin with separate entrances and a bonus sleeper cabin! Fun for the whole family! Fast communication and great local recommendations. Would highly recommend.

  • Wonderful hosts and great communicators. This cabin is lovely and beautifully positioned. We came for a winter retreat so we didn’t take advantage of the tennis courts next door or the lake, but our visit makes me want to come back in the summer!

  • The Rustic Pine Cabin is a beautifully crafted cabin. It is a warm and serene experience. The cabin is wonderfully built, decorated and the area was fun to explore. Bill and family were very quick to respond to all messages and were incredibly keen to ensure that our experience was fantastic and memorable. We highly recommend the cabin!!

  • I wish I could explain how amazing our time was in this cabin. My husband and I brought our 3 year old son and 2 dogs. We were comfy and cozy the entire time. Because my son was on meltdown mode we laid around one day watching movies and playing games and it was seriously the best time. It's such a cozy cabin that we could all be together comfortably. Everything was clean and I have zero complaints. My husband walked around for hours noticing all the decor and the intricately designed log cabin. We are already planning to back in a couple months with the our teenagers which will be amazing because they will have a bit of privacy with the lower level. They are gonna be so stoked about that! The sleeper cabin was so adorable I wish we used it but there was so much house for our small group. Everything is so cute. Bill was awesome and checked in with us throughout the process. He warmly accommodated us with super short notice. I knew in his voice he loves his cabin and was proud to share with others. He was fabulous! And the Half Way House Bar and grille was so good. They have amazing locals and today was Bingo. Like how perfect is that?! I love my hubby just a little more after this wonderful weekend unplugged and in nature. My heart is full.

  • Okay this is one of those places you don’t want to review because it is so perfect once it is found out you will never get a reservation. It is a perfect relaxing escape set in an incredible lake and mountain environment Right in the middle of a friendly small town. The people are friendly and real. The Pizza at Ice House is the best I’ve had since Italy. The little Davis grocery is super cute with great breakfast burritos. Just loved the house and the town of Hope.

We enjoyed the quiteness and location of their rental. Christian was always quick to respond and I appreciated his help a great deal. Christian did an amazing job in transforming Hope's old City Hall into such a beautiful Airbnb. We will definitely be back!!!

My place is close to the Mountains, Ross Creek Cedars and beautiful bull lake with private common area access and dock. Easy driving access to Sand Pointe & Coure d Alene Idaho .. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the outdoors space and wildlife. My place is good for families (with kids) and furry friends (pets).

  • Lovely place! I went with my three best friends. Nested into the woods, made it the perfect peaceful paradise we were hoping for. Temperatures reached 30 celsius and the place remained cool despite no air conditioning. We took advantage of the plenty of wood and kindling made available as well as the marshmallow skewers. The lake is at the end of the road. Easy to walk there, but we chose to drive so we could bring our raft and other gear as there’s room to park (there were also tubes and other floatees in the basement that I believe are available to guests if you don’t bring your own). Thanks Don!

Log home on Lakefront property, canoe, fishing, boat Launch, football field size front yard, parking for six vehicles, large Country kitchen, Fully furnished, recreation room with pool table or ping pong table, seven bedrooms, Dining room, Wrap around deck, large garden with fruit trees, grapes, berries, veggies etc. Generally, fresh chicken eggs, critters around. The longer you stay the cheaper each room becomes. I have several rooms to rent and the more rooms you rent the cheaper they get.
I have traveled all over the United States and Canada and I believe I live in the most beautiful area around. I was born country, raised country, and lived country my entire life, so this is country living. You can expect warm country hospitality with lots to do, but do not expect to be staying at the Ritz. My home is clean and nice but it is not the Waldorf.
I live in very rural part of Montana and one of the things that attracted me to this place was as I drove down the road everyone I saw would wave and smile. This area has grown in population some since I moved here 39 years ago, but most people are still quite friendly. Most of us don't lock our doors but I would be careful about walking into someone's house uninvited, especially at night, after all it is Montana. :-) We are suronded by Magestic

This waterfront home and guest cabin is located on the Angel Island channel of Bull Lake, in Northwest Montana. We are located two and a half hours northeast of Spokane, WA, one hour east of Sandpoint, ID, and two hours west of Kalispell, MT.
This newly constructed waterfront home and guest cabin is located on the Angel Island channel of Bull Lake, in Northwest Montana. We are located two and a half hours northeast of Spokane, WA, one hour east of Sandpoint, ID, and two hours west of Kalispell, MT. With your own private dock, you have access from the channel to 5 mile long Bull Lake, which rests between the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness Area and the Scotchman peaks on the border of Montana and Idaho. The Channel is 50 foot wide and allows access from your private dock to the lake. Besides the unmatched scenery, the main lake is perfect for swimming, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and offers some of the best variety of fishing in Montana. Hike the nearby Ross Creek Cedars and experience an old growth forest firsthand, or head up into the Cabinet Mountains where Alpine Lakes, glaciers and wildlife abound. 18 miles away the Kootenai Falls are a must see for everyone. The nearby Yaak River and the Kootenai Falls are both destinations for milder site-seeing trips, or extreme whitewater Rafting & Kayaking. As winter arrives we are only an hour from Schweitzer Mountain, near Sandpoint, ID, Two and a half hours from Whitefish Mountain, in Whitefish, MT, And just over an hour to Turner Mountain, near Libby, MT. There are numerous snowmobile trails in the area, including the Keeler, Spar Lake, and Spruce Lake Trails. Deep powder and wide open basins await at the end of the trails for the more advanced riders. This home, is situated at the top of a large lawn, that gently slopes down to the Channel on Bull Lake. Beyond the channel is a view of Cabinet Mountains. The home includes 2 bedrooms, one of which is a very large loft that is not private but sleeps 6 as couples, (3 beds, 2 queens and a full) and the other is the master bedroom (queen) 3 bathrooms, one with a double vanity & Tub/Shower, 1 with a shower, & 1 Outdoors that is fully plumbed (Summer Only). A Living Room, Dining Area, and fully furnished Kitchen, open to a Cathedral Ceiling highlighted with logs and natural wood trim. A laundry room includes Washer, & Dryer. Off the Kitchen is a cedar deck with unmatched views and below is a covered patio surrounded by a wall of river rock. The guest cabin includes a day bed, which is 2 singles, and a loft that will sleep 2 kids or 1 adult comfortably. The channel the property is on offers access to the lake and includes a dock. There are 3 Kayaks, 2 Paddleboards, a canoe, and life jackets for you to use. Later in the summer the channel can get shallower. Power Boats can always get in and out but as the water gets lower care must be taken. Most years the water stays high until the 4th of July and then starts to recede. Outboard motors have no problem all year. IO's still work with more care needed to be taken. True inboards on many wakeboard boats may want to park at the marina on the island or trailer at night once the water gets lower.
Angel Island is very family oriented place. Along with the Lake, we have a tennis court, and basketball court available to guests. The island is apx 1 mile around and perfect for walking with very little, and slow moving traffic. The lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, swimming, and more. There is a restaurant/bar (The halfway house about 1/2 mile away) There is also a small convenience store in the restaurant
  • Expect to have a relaxing trip, watch a beautiful sunrise, and enjoy the beauty of Bull Lake.

  • This place is awesome! The location - the size of the house & the extras! We were totally thrilled with our time at Marc & Debbie’s on Angel Island ~~~ beautiful Bull Lake is a must see!! We had a family reunion and there was plenty of room for everyone to do what they wanted ~ some simply relaxed on the swing and lawn chairs, several played a variety of games (Marc has a lot ~ from board games to lawn games!), a few kayaked, canoed & swam & everyone enjoyed the bonfire *with plenty of marshmallow roasting sticks*. A couple other highlights: The beds were super comfortable with cozy bedding & the kitchen had every utensil and any cookware you would want or need. (A lemon juicer!??! Hellooo fresh lemon drops!) The open floor plan is roomy and allowed everyone to truly be together. I highly recommend this location. Troy is a sweet little town and this home is exactly where you should stay.

Savor a unique, upscale camping getaway with everything you need to relax & enjoy the beauty of our north Idaho wilderness, just 30 miles from scenic Sandpoint, Idaho. Our Nona's campsite features a comfortably furnished tent cabin & camp kitchen.
We feature three special campsites— Nona’s, Cedars, and Mountain View. This listing is for our Nona's Tent Site. When you stay at Huckleberry Tent and Breakfast, you’ll enjoy a secluded home in the woods with everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. In addition to our snug and comfy canvas walled tent cabins, each camping site includes … • Your own screened camp kitchen with antique functional hand pump for water, a propane stove, ice chest (bring ice) and lots of cookware. • An airy, cozy outhouse complete with candles and plenty of reading material. It’s all natural, completely sanitary, and smells as fresh and clean as all outdoors. • Outdoor shower (yes, you can heat the water) with towels and amenities. • Your own thoughtfully-furnished campsite with fire pit, camp furniture, citronella torches and candles to keep the bugs at bay, and more. If you call ahead, we’ll even light the fire for you. •Bringing an extra guest? No problem. In addition to the queen size bed in the main tent, there is a side tent with 2 cots, foam mattresses, pillows, comforters, and sheets. The 2 cots can also be moved into the main tent if you desire. Just let us know. When we bought our homestead in 1992, Nona lived next door in a tiny cabin. She was an eccentric 70 year old - no car, no running water and only one small solar panel. After 20 years in the woods, she sold us her property and moved to town where life was a little easier. Her cabin is long since gone. But if you look behind your tent, you'll still see the foundation rocks. This tent site is for those who march merrily along to the beat of their very own drum.
Folks are attracted to north Idaho’s rich natural beauty, and we think that around here we have more than our fair share of it. Local attractions include ... • Wildlife, including deer, elk, moose, eagles, owls, and numerous smaller birds, fish, and critters. • Scotchman Peak (visible from Mountain View campsite), the highest peak in Bonner County. This is a strenuous climb but definitely worth it! • Clark Fork River delta and Johnson Creek inlet, with dozens of islands and quiet water channels, throngs of birds and an occasional moose, all nestled between the towering Bitterroot mountains on the south and Cabinet mountains on the north. • Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho’s largest and deepest lake, just 20 minutes down the road. • Ross Creek Cedars, up the road about 30 minutes. Some of the largest trees in Montana live here, in a quiet dell that could be a fantasy movie set. • Sandpoint, the county seat and nearest big town, just 45 minutes away. Enjoy downtown shopping, restaurants, watersports, City Beach, and much more. • We’re just 75 minutes from Silverwood, the Northwest’s largest theme park, and an easy half day’s drive from Glacier National Park.
  • All the fun of camping without all of the preparations

    Jandy2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, kids really enjoyed the area. The animals and breakfast was a great bonus to their experience

    Kyle2019-08-05T00:00:00Z

    Maggie2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a relaxing experience. Breakfast was so good. It was so private.

    Angie2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at the Huckleberry tent and breakfast. The tents had all the amenities for camping you could need: lanterns, stoves, dishware, towels, to name a few. Tim accommodated our late arrival graciously and the directions we were given to find the place were perfect (though you still might have some trouble finding the place), there were small Huckleberry T&B signs strategically placed alone the road up. Overall fantastic stay. Might have been better to stay here when were weren't trying to explore the area so much (we road tripped into Western MT, biked at Schweitzer, explored Bonner's ferry) so lack of internet/service made last minute details hard to plan for. But it definitely added to the experience. Favorite part about our stay was how many stars you could see

  • Such a great spot for exploring Clark Fork and the area. Amazing hosts and the tent, kitchen and camp site were top notch! Breakfast was fantastic and loved getting to know the family. We will be back!

  • Hands down, this has been my favorite Airbnb experience. It might not be for everybody, but if you really want to disconnect for awhile, there is no better place!

  • Loved it! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious! Thanks Christine. I think you've thought of everything. Can't wait until we get to come again.

Cozy Quaint Bull Lake Room is a private guest room in our waterfront home with separate quarters and private entrance on Bull Lake . This is perfect for couples who want a quiet time to relax and enjoy the lake or even those who come from out of town for local family gatherings or weddings.
Our waterfront home was constructed in 2007 and is nestled in the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness Area - very close to the border of Idaho. Bull Lake itself is perfect for swimming, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking , wakeboard, fishing etc. Our property has a very nice and gentle slope to the lake, but more importantly this property has a vibrant history we love to share with others . The guest room has 4 steps up to the private entrance . We offer a microwave, Keurig Coffee maker, and a small fridge along with disposable coffee cups in the room .
This is a great family oriented community. Nearby we have a neighborhood called Angel Island . This allows for morning walks away from fast moving traffic- it is 1.2 miles around . Bull Lake itself is pristine and perfect for all the usual water activities, fishing, skiing, swimming etc. Ross Creek Cedars nearby offers a perfect nature walk and about 1/4 mile from here is the Halfway House (restaurant/bar and grill). They have a great menu and in particular, beautiful outdoor creek side dining. Friday and Saturday nights are their very popular Steak Night. The Halfway House also offers a small convenience store complete with fishing tackle.
  • Wonderful friendly hosts who offer that extra special touch. Lovely house right on lake side. Quiet and peaceful stay.

  • Wow, your place is really a piece of heaven, the hospitaly was great and lovely, I will never forget my time there. Everything was beatiful.

    Jesus2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely perfect for our get away! We could walk right out to the water to fish, paddle board, go out on the kayaks, or just sit back and watch nature. Amazing views. And a VERY comfortable room and private space. Oh did I mention the amazing muffins! Yep! It’s the real deal!

    Tricia2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stacey and his wife were such gracious hosts. This private bedroom suite exceeded our expectations. The quarters are private and separate from the home with its own parking and entrance. The bed was so comfortable and the room was furnished with K-cups etc. similar to hotel amenities. The bathroom was fully furnished and well designed. The lakefront location is amazing...the views are breathtaking! Stacey allows the lakefront access with a unique fire pit (firewood furnished!) and several sets of Adirondack chairs to enjoy the views and warm on those cool evenings. Stacey immediately pointed out to us a Bald Eagle nesting in a tree easily viewable from the lakefront. The kayaks were very safe and stable as we paddled across the lake to view the Eagles. I actually got several photos and videos of the Eagles, and on the paddle back to the home, an amazing rainbow appeared - you can't make this stuff up! Stacey and his wife far exceeded our expectations as hosts, and the location is hands-down our greatest AirBnB so far! Thanks for an amazing experience! We plan to return!

    Mina2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stacey's place is very comfortable and spotless. The lake front location is absolutely perfect. We loved the muffins and cherries (plus other goodies) she provided for breakfast! A great stay all around!

  • What a great place! The lake is beautiful, hospitality perfect. Stacey and Jen are great hosts, warm and welcoming. Loads of extras like kayaks, rafts, fire pit, lounge chairs etc. it was paradise! The room was cute and comfortable, bathroom roomy and clean. Recommended for everyone!

  • Genie is very responsive. Her place is very clean & comfy. It has a beautiful view of the lake. The space is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked to easily make your own meals. She not only has a coffeemaker but a also a French Press (which is how we normally make our daily brew). It’s a great deal for this lovely place.

Close to Ross Creek Scenic Area, The Yaak amd North Idaho. 4 bedroom, 3.5 baths 3k sq ft log home built in 2006 by an Amish Builder here in Western Montana. It's located on a 85 ft of shore line on a mountain lake with a perimeter of 22 miles. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/kootenai/recarea/?recid=49886
Cabin is a quarter mile from any neighbors on the lake. Lot is nearly and acre with four empty lots on each side.
  • Cathy's cabin is a dream. We rented the cabin as a family for our extended family reunion across the lake at the Neils cabin. We own the small cabin directly across the lake and have spent years looking at this cabin. It the most gorgeous cabin I've ever seen. Period. And I live in a cabin overlooking a river in Oregon. This is front page of Cabin Monthly material. And, get this! The inside is EVEN better! It is spacious, clean, has wi-fi, a huge deck right on the lake and a front yard (no-one on the lake maintains a front yard- too much trouble.) We all are very (VERY!) lucky to be able to experience this family cabin. Bull Lake is a remote lake in Montana. People here don't AirBnb. This is In The Wilderness....but with all the finest of modern technology (which we don't have at our 70 year old cabin.) If you dream of cabins- this is the one in your dream. It honestly doesn't get any better. Really. Cathy was a dream to communicate with and I'm an over communicator! She took care of us from start to finish. When it was time to leave, I knew I had a family friend for life. (Our combined family history goes all the way back to the Libby logging mill.) Everything you need is at this cabin. A vacation literally does not get better than this! A couple notes about the general area and lake. Tourists are not common. Be respectful of the area. It really is mountain wilderness. On the highway to the lake you WILL (100%) see deer. I've been doing that drive for 46 years- I can count on one hand the times I did NOT see a deer. Drive carefully! Please don't play loud music, unless you want to be visited by the people across the lake (my family.) If you'd like to meet an angry Neils- this is probably a good way to do it. Bring mosquito spray. We're used to it. But, if you don't have spray, you may not want to spend as much time as you'd like outside. Those Montana mosquitos are serious, well-fed, and can carry off a small child. Overall, this cabin is a dream come true. Cathy is the best hostess I've ever met through Airbnb, and someone I will count as a friend from now on out. You couldn't have a better holiday than here. You get the wild wilderness and modern luxury. It seriously doesn't get better. Thank you so much, Cathy!! From all of us!

This is a large upstairs studio with a fabulous view. Many windows. Full kitchen, washer, and a dishwasher.
This is in a small town walking distance to dinner house (Squeeze Inn). Local deli and a bar.

Original structure is 100+ year old barn built by homesteaders. Renovated in 2014 into a Guest Ranch Lodge.
Rural, rustic and relaxed setting - peaceful and quiet, yet access is easy and within reasonable driving distance of full service towns. (Sandpoint, Idaho - Thompson Falls or Libby, Montana). Excellent opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Located in close proximity to the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness Area. Public lands, roads, lakes and rivers offer countless ways to spend the days - hike, bike, swim, boat, fish, ATV, snowmobile, cross-country ski, snowshoe etc.
  • The Elk Barn Inn is hands down the best AirBnB I've stayed in. What made it the best were the amenities provided: snacks, drinks, breakfast items, movies, games (including video), bathroom sundries...the list goes on. And all of that is especially helpful given the remote area in which it exists. Beyond the amenities it was cleaned immaculately, the beds were super comfortable, and Meggen was a terrific host. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Heron area book this place!

  • Place is exactly as represented. Large area, perfect for a group or large family. The kitchen was stocked better than any kitchen I've ever seen...thinking of every possible thing needed. The hot tub was amazing! Definitely a perk to the lodge. There was a terrible wind/rain storm that caused a power outage. The owners made sure we were taking care of...lanterns, generator and hot running water. I highly recommend this place any time of the year!

  • The pictures dont do this place justice. It is such a beautiful, cozy, magical place. We loved the taxidermy and the classic Montana cabin feel. Kitchen was fully stocked and a great place to do holiday cooking. We had a great time and hope to be back next year!

  • The lodge is the perfect spot to get away in northwest Montana. The pictures are very accurate. Well stocked kitchen, spacious rooms, and a homey feel. Lots of taxidermy and hunting photos! The location is great for visiting natural attractions in the NW part of the state and the lodge is in a particularly beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

  • This lodge is everything and more, set back in the woods with beautiful views. While we stayed here we enjoyed driving on the back roads winding around the beautiful surrounding mountains. We were able to take a nature walk at bad medicine, it’s a must if you stay here. The lodge had everything you could need, a hot tub that was wonderful to wind down in after a long day. The rooms were cozy and had plenty of blankets and pillows. At night you can enjoy a nice fire outside while star gazing. it’s a perfect place to just get away and relax.

  • Great hunting lodge. Clean and stocked with everything you need. Love the hot tub after long hikes. Several within a few minute drives. Would love to know all the stories behind the pictures and animals. We even did a photo scavenger hunt with our kids one night....so fun!! Appreciated Myria’s prompt attention to phone line not working. She had the phone company fix it immediately. Super vacation getaway.

  • Grace and her family have a lovely secluded spot right on he river! We boated right to it and spent two nights. It was a fantastic location, clean and very comfortable apartment! We hope to return another day. We highly recommend this spot!

    Molly2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of four arrived 4hours late in the middle of the night. I’m quite sure that Grace was wondering what she had gotten herself into with this booking! - sorry about that Grace! We only stayed one night (with a late departure) due to travel plans, but our whole group wished we had of had a few more days to experience Grace’s hospitality and her beautiful surroundings. The space is on the 2nd level and is a well done loft suite with a single bedroom, kitchen (no oven), bathroom (dbl shower) and sitting room with love seat (hide-a-bed) and dining table for 4. There was a TV on the wall, though we didn’t have a chance to try it out. There is also a south west facing deck with deck chairs and a propane fire pit, perfect for relaxing in the sun. Though we didn’t take it, Grace offered us WiFi access as there is no cell service. - perfect to completely escape if you want! The property backs onto its own private beach with dock and Grace even offered us use of her kayaks, skidoo and side by side. When they were heading out on the lake in their boat, they offered for us to come along. We were all disappointed we couldn’t stick around. Also, knowing that we had arrived late (and hadn’t been able to shop prior to arrival), Grace was willing to spare some of her locally sourced fresh eggs and bread for breakfast in the morning! The surroundings are quiet and very beautiful. Perfect private setting, romantic setting, or relaxing setting. We’d love to come back in the future to explore all that this picturesque little island has to offer.- hopefully on time and for a longer period next time :)

  • This is a beautiful home and worked perfectly for our large family for a wedding weekend in Hope. We would definitely stay here again. Vacasa was great and easy to work with. Their response is quick too. Couldn’t have asked for a better home than Monarch.

    Charlene2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Monarch is such a beautiful and clean home. We were a party of 10 and still the house was big enough with tons of space for everyone. The recreational room and outdoor patio were big hits for our kids (8 total ranging from ages 3-19). We brought all are groceries with us, and only left the house to go to Silverwood Theme Park(an hour away) for 2 of the 4 nights we spent there. Still worth the drive to come back to this very private, peaceful, huge, enchanting home in the mountains. The majority of our week long get-away was spent enjoying the majestic views and the serene appeal of the home. Cooked all our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) there. After I paid and confirmed the home, all the info that was sent to me on what was available in the home for us to use was accurate and helped me to plan on what I needed to bring so I wouldn’t have to make another trip, but in case you forget eggs or run out of milk, there’s a small food/grocery store down the street in Clark Fork or something...definitely a preferred home for us for future trips. 👍👍👍👍👍

  • Awesome, cozy little cabin. It’s a very nice space that has been updated. Propane heated false fire really heats the place, lovely kitchen and bathroom. Clean, nice log cabin to stay in!

  • Beautiful house! Lots of memories made and will definitely see if it’s available next time!

  • This place was absolutely amazing...the view is the basis for that comment... overlooking Lake Pend Oreille while sitting in the hot tub! The house was vintage, but with a new vibe...very nice. There are lots of trains during the day, but I didn't notice any at night...and the view far out weighted the trains. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again!

  • Great view from the hot tub! Clean and cozy. Train runs often and is noisy at night; not supposed to use the horn, but did a few times around 1030pm, yikes. Not very quiet or private but fun for a weekend getaway. Ants and weeds were a bit out of control but it is basically in the forest so sort of understandable.

  • This house was amazing! The wifi was a bit spotty, but the view and hot tub were by far the best part. Would definitely come back!
