  • This is a spacious home, lovely feeling about the place. The two bathrooms was an added benefit with seven of us staying here. The parking could be a problem but there is a parking space at the back of the house which was useful especially as we had two cars.

  • Wonderfully stylish house on the hills of Torquay. Great value for money as can sleep 7 comfortably. Would recommend you find how to park behind the house as very hard to find parking in the evening. House is over 3 floors with large extended living area on ground floor. Beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds Would definitely recommend.

  • We stayed at the cabin for two nights , it’s a lovely clean comfortable space. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use the hot tub due to the weather but think a privacy screen/fence would be useful had we used it though as the main houses window do look over the cabin. The village and area are lovely, welcoming and well worth exploring! We visited a number of local pubs for food and drinks and were pleasantly surprised by them all would definitely visit again!

    Kelly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, homely and takes you back to nature cabin! The little valentines touch were completely unexpected and delightful! The quality of the bedding, towels and amenities were as good if not better than any good hotel. Even though storm Dennis had different ideas to what we had for the weekend, a great stay!

  • A perfect little cabin for a weekend’s stay, lovely little extras provided including some lovely bath robes, milk and coffee (and bubbly!) waiting for us upon arrival. We got good use out of the hot tub - and really enjoyed the peaceful setting in a beautiful part of Devon. Would recommend!

  • We loved the Cosy Cabin, it was perfect for our time away and the village was in an ideal location! The cabin was spotless and as the name stated, lovely and cosy for the evening time, the cabin has everything you will need for a few days. The local pub a short walk away is very friendly, where we enjoyed a few drinks however would have definitely eaten there! We would highly recommend the Cosy Cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.

  • If you want to escape it all then this is the place for you! Very clean and tidy with lots of thoughtful extra touches from the hosts. The cabin was nice and cosy and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. Whilst the cabin is in close proximity to the hosts own home (in their garden) this does not impact on the cabin and it feels very private. Wonderful hosts and would highly recommend.

Explore the South West Coast Path, then snuggle up for a relaxed night on the quaint, checked sofa at this cozy, single-storey cottage nestled in a shared courtyard. Whitewashed stone walls, pastel-hued panelling, and soft cream creates a snug feel.
Set in Marldon Village, these lovely former farm conversions nestles within a courtyard setting and is the perfect couples retreat or small family holiday
The house is in the charming village of Marldon, close to the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham with their quirky shops, pubs, restaurants, and galleries. The sandy beaches of Torre Abbey Sands and Goodrington Sands are also nearby.
  • Jasmine cottage is situated in a quiet but central area of a lovely Devon village. We found the cottage in a converted barn warm and welcoming on arrival. Very well designed layout with an open plan living dining kitchen area and 2 ensuite bedrooms arranged on each side. The cottage was spotless, beds comfortable and linens and towels high quality. Lovely walks around the village and Church inn does an amazing Sunday roast. Really recommend its location.

  • The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience

  • Woodend provided us with an excellent venue in a beautiful location for our large family get together (3 generations, consisting of 8 adults and 7 children). The generously proportioned rooms gave plenty of space to spread out indoors, and there was an excellent, large, well-equipped kitchen. Despite the weather and time of year (February) the hot tub and pool were enjoyed most mornings by all. We would have no hesitation in returning for another family celebration in this beautiful home.

  • This house is amazing!! Very clean, plenty of space and beautifully presented. Adrian was very approachable and quick to respond to me over the stay. The on site managers Keith and Lisa were great to have on hand as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

  • What a fantastic place for a get together of families, we had 5 families and the big rooms worked well for us. Pool and hot tub were warm so the kids had a great time splashing about! Great communication from Adrain, no problems.

  • Woodend is the perfect place for a big group gathering of family or friends. The house is very well laid out with large living/reception areas downstairs, a lovely large kitchen that is very well equipped for cooking for groups, and upstairs you have large bedrooms (almost all ensuite). The whole house is tastefully decorated with some lovely personal touches as well. And then outside is the pool and hot tub with spectacular views over the sea. Very close by, Meadfoot Beach is a lovely spot for a stroll, and then within a 5-10 minute drive there are many more beautiful spots and more places to visit than one would ever have time for! I'm already thinking about what excuse I can find to organise another gathering to book Woodend again.

  • This place is absolutely perfect for a group of 10+. The house itself is very impressive with exceptional views. The amenities are top class with a very impressive kitchen which makes cooking for a large group straightforward. Communication with Adrian was as good as it could be. We booked over a year in advance for a milestone birthday, and he would respond to every message within the hour. Check in was quick and simple. One review mentions problems with neighbors and excessive noise. There are some notices requesting sensible noise levels and not to play music around the pool. We followed these rules and had no problems at all and it did not inpeed on our enjoyment. Adrian went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable and is an excellent host. Highly recommend staying her. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and may we'll make this an annual trip. Thank you Adrian and your team.

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.
  • Great place with a beautiful view!

    Alan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

  • Such a lovely space, super stylish and super clean. In a quiet setting but close enough to the town and lots of things to do! The guide was amazing and so helpful, especially the restaurant recommendations. We would definitely go back again! Thank you!

  • Susanna was a great host and made sure we were ok in the middle of Storm Dennis! The barn was beautiful and we had a lovely time - would highly recommend this

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was perfect for us, cosy and stylishly appointed. The view out across the valley was just incredible, and we spent quite a lot of time just gazing at it and watching the buzzards circling over a distant field. Susanna was the most thoughtful host, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including baby equipment. It made our first holiday with our little one so special, and easy!

  • We had a lovely stay here. It was perfectly clean, it was really easy to get in and sort ourselves out, the information given is accurate. It was very relaxing extremely quiet. Just outside the bungalow is a great view of the river. Short and beautiful drive to the historic town of Dartmouth. It was well placed to easily access all the local towns.

  • We loved our stay here. Nice peaceful spot. It was a great touch to have a Christmas tree there too! Looking forward to going again.

  • Accommodation has everything you will need for a self catering stay. Kitchen is very well equipped. Walks from the door so no need to drive if you don’t want to. Would recommend Greenway House (didn’t go inside) & gardens, absolutely stunning. Great communication from the host. Would love to come back to explore a bit more of the area :-)

    Tracey2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Access to the property was easy, my husband who is disabled had good access from the parking bay to the property. All rooms were clean and well maintained. The shower was perfect hot and strong. There were plenty of pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There were plenty of booklets with details of places to visit. If we didn't want to go out for the day to local towns or beaches there were plenty of walks. There was so much to do we didn't have time to see everything. The heating was spot on, if we went out we were able to put it on as soon as we came in and the bungalow heated quite quickly. Loved being there.

    Diane2019-11-02T00:00:00Z

The whole Building is in the process of being renovated and as a consequence I will be targeting travelers on a budget. I mentioned my Biker bar/lounge which has a Private bar and is in the process of being a assembled. Guests are welcome to enjoy a drink at the bar if they choose to do so.
I have 1 single room available at the moment but other rooms will become available as the Renovation progresses. I will have a Twin loft room available very soon.
Paignton has become a destination for bikers for a few years now, having regular bike festivals and bike nights. As I'm a biker myself I am keen to attract travelers on 2 wheels.
  • I enjoyed in Glen's place. So stylish place in the centre of Paignton. I felt little bit like to be back in 19 century, because the building it's quite historical and room is so cosy. My experience couldn't have been better.

  • This is a beautiful house in an amazing location. We used is as a family but it would be equally lovely for a couple or two couples. The hospitality was great, so easy to deal with. Really easy to get into town and also out to Berry head. The curious kitchen cafe was lovely, as was exploring the little streets of Brixham. We enjoyed watching all the boats from the many windows and seeing the lovely sunrise and sunset. Thank you

  • Front Row Cottage is a little seaside haven. The views across the harbour are stunning, and the cottage itself is a cosy, warm and comfortable retreat from day to day life. Super comfy beds, and beautiful interiors. You'll find yourself whimsically wondering whether you want to permanently move to the seaside. Brixham itself is small, but charming, and the location of the cottage is absolutely amazing - literally on the harbour, and less than 5 mins from all of the local amenities. A great little find.

    Natalie2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with amazing views over the harbour from every room, nice and clean when we arrived and was really simple to check in. Host was quick to reply and free parking was only a short walk away, which was a bonus. Great little break away, would definitely look at booking again.

  • Front Row Cottage is perfectly located for a trip to Brixham and the surrounding areas. It was delight to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour from every room of the beautifully decorated cottage. The wood burner was an added bonus as was the car parking a short walk away. We didn’t hear any noise from the pub renovations next door. Steven and the team were very responsive and helpful with queries and suggestions.

  • It’s a quirky little hideaway Fiona and Mat are so laid back, great hosts just let’s you find your own feet then leaves you to it after showing you where everything is. I love all the little notes about. Once your upstairs it is so cosy and warm and this was during the night storm Dennis hit. The bed was so comfy. Didn’t sleep much the night of the storm as I was worried about one of our dogs, the following night I slept like a log. We will def be booking in again when we come with the dogs. Thank you so much we loved It.

  • We stayed in this apartment for a week and it was great experience. You have lovely views overlooking the Marina and across the harbour. The apartment itself is fabulous! Very well equipped, very clean and with a cold bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. The bed is very comfy and all the linens are excellent quality. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The parking can sound a bit daunting when you read the blurb about the apartment but is actually incredibly easy and very convenient. We loved the location, we were able to just cross the road, a quick stroll into the marina and then a lovely walk around the harbour into town. Conveniently, there is a great pub along the walk as well which is well worth stopping in. Brixham itself is a really lovely place to stay with plenty of shops and places to eat but still has all the charm of a fishing village. Our hosts, Emma and John are lovely people and provided us with helpful tips for eating places as well as places to visit. We would absolutely recommend this apartment as a place to stay.

The Bolthole - Compact & cosy detached studio with garden. Located in the heart of Kingswear just 100 metres from the River Dart, the river can be seen from the garden terrace. No hills to climb, just 5 mins walk to the passenger & car ferries for the short trip over to Dartmouth & 2 mins walk to the village shop, a lovely cafe & the Steam Packet pub. Perfect for the coastal path. Street parking is free, 5 mins walk from the property & paid parking is in the marina opposite the property.
The Bolthole is a detached 1 bed studio property nestled in the valley in the heart of Kingswear just above the River Dart and Waterhead Creek. The 2 pubs, cafe and shop are all just a couple of minutes walk away. Newly developed using carefully selected reclaimed materials mixed with all the modern comforts to complement. Located on the slope above our main house there is a lovely little garden with its own deck where the River Dart, the hills in the distance and Waterhead Creek can be seen. You can retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth in the private garden and enjoy the evening sun. The idea and inspiration was to create a hidden space to escape to and the perfect base to explore South Devon & Cornwall. The property is a very cosy and compact studio. It's one room living with ensuite bathroom and has a coastal feel by way of white washed T&G timber and a hardwood waxed wooden floor reclaimed from marina boards having been weathered for 20 years. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress and white Egyptian cotton bed linen, we also provide white bath and hand towels. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, handwash, toilet roll and washing up liquid. There is an area to cook in a well equipped kitchenette and a vintage dining table & chairs. Natural light floods in and the garden has the afternoon and evening sun accessed via double doors that open to the oak steps up to the deck.
A lovely location and the river is 100m away and a short walk to the coastal path. A great local shop, lovely cafe, superb pub, passenger ferry, car ferries, castles, steam trains, steam river boats, walks, vineyards and much more. Not forgetting friendly people!
  • This is a lovely stylish bolthole in the charming town of Kingswear (just across the water from Dartmouth). It's a small but cosy space that has everything you could need for a short stay.

  • Great space for a night or two - Matt has carefully designed everything's to fit a very small space brilliantly! Expect small though - and if the weathers poor and you can't sit out, your outlook is very restricted. But the location is great, the bed really comfy and the local pub excellent!

    Alison2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a short but lovely stay at The Bolthole. Matt provided all the info we needed prior to our stay which made getting there, parking and getting around so much easier and stress free. The Bolthole is a warm, cosy, comfortable and stylish space with a lovely terrace, quality bed linen and towels and tea, coffee etc provided. The Steam Packet Inn is a great pub and we enjoyed their famous pizza with a view across to Dartmouth. The ferries across to Dartmouth are frequent and there’s lots of boat trips from the Marina - we took a short trip up river to Dittisham. We will definitely be back!

  • This is a superb stylish place that is just as stunning as it looks in the pictures. The view is amazing, the facilities including the kitchen, the beds and the bathrooms are top notch and I would definitely stay there again if I revisit Brixham. The only drawback of having that view is that whenever you go out there is always a steep and long climb back up. There are also quite a few steps down to the front door so not a place for anyone who is unsteady on their feet. All in all a brilliant holiday home though.

    Andy2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed, the space is amazing along with the view which I already miss. The underfloor heating made the place cozy and warm, loved it and would recommend to anyone.

  • Great place with really amazing views. Our family of 4 had a very enjoyable stay in early January, the apartment was super clean and very comfortable. Great location with a short walk to the town centre and harbour. We had some great walks and were lucky enough to see seals in the harbour and dolphins from Berry Head.

  • I can’t imagine there are many better views of Torquay than the ones from this apartment. With the beach and restaurants at your door step and a cosy sea-side apartment to come home to, this place offers everything. Can’t recommend enough and looking forward to returning soon.

  • A fresh modern apartment with the most stunning views of Torre Abbey Sands and beyond...! We enjoyed a daily stroll down the cliff walk from the apartment to the Marina where there are some lovely restaraunts. Our favourites were the Pier Point and Rockfish as the food was amazing and they were excellent with children. The apartment was really clean and had some lovely finishing touches including some very snuggley throws to wrap round you while watching the boats come and go from the Marina and the sun set from the balcony. We used the sofa bed for our little ones which was very comfortable. The master bedroom has the most spectacular view to wake up to and the bed was also verycomfortable. The bathroom and kitchen are well equipt for a stay away. Steve was a great host and responded quickly - as did the house manager while we were there.

The place was even better than described, it was immaculately clean, we loved the welcome card and all the little treats that were left for us (coffee, milk, biscuits and even some bubbly). We could have not asked for a better weekend getaway if we tried. Susan was so quick with her responses as well! Thank you for this lovely experience and we will no doubt be back to stay at your Static again. David and kids

  • Clean and modern flat. Lovely view over the harbour and although up quite a lot of stairs, it was still very close to the town. There was a few things left for us in the fridge and there’s a selection of DVDs to watch in the evening. We had a lovely few days despite the rain! Thank you.

  • Great location, great flat, lovely stay. Beautiful views, fabulous location and a modern and well appointed property. We enjoyed our entire stay and Brixham as as a whole. Can’t fault the property which was nicely appointed, great spaces and bathrooms, and done to a very good standard. Walking distance to Harbour, city centre and loads of shops and restaurants. Parking space was a bonus although we parked on a nearby street which was closer. Would certainly stay again.

    Gareth2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully furnished and clean, lots of lovely touches and a well equipped kitchen (sharp knives too!). The view over the harbour is amazing and took just a couple of minutes to get right to the highstreet. Would definitely recommend! We had a baby and buggy to carry up the steps...fine with just the 1 baby, but might have been tricky with more than 1 child.

A light-filled and tranquil, first-floor sea-front apartment with glorious open views across the entire bay from the living room and balcony. Situated on Preston Sands at the quieter end of Paignton, your apartment is within easy reach of Torquay harbour, Brixham, Dartmouth, Totnes and Dartmoor. A great location for couples, solo travellers, friends, or families with older children. THE APARTMENT INC BALCONY ARE EXCLUSIVELY FOR NON-SMOKERS. Please read the Policies section before booking.
Our apartment is furnished to a high standard with Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy towels. We love the views from the living room and wherever you sit you can see a different aspect of the bay. The small balcony has a table and chairs and is lovely to sit out on taking in the scenery. The bedrooms are at the back and are incredibly quiet apart from the odd seagull. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating which is lovely in the winter . We fell in love with our apartment and the glorious views and we hope our guests will too . Check in is from 3pm and check out is 11am.
Preston Sands is the quieter end of Paignton. At low tide walk along the beach to the busier Paignton beach or at high tide use the footpath to get to town. The apartment complex and the locality are very welcoming, the neighbours are a friendly mix of residents and visitors. Head to the moors of Dartmoor to see the wild ponies and the nearby quirky town of Totnes with it's independent shops and unique market which takes place on Friday and Saturday. The old fishing port of Brixham is a few miles away and well worth a visit, as is the lovely town of Dartmouth. In the apartment you will find info on places to visit .

  • This apartment is fantastic. Communication was very quick and clear. The apartment is spacious and exceptionally clean. It was wonderful to have the extra touches such as early check in, cake, milk and gin! Wonderful to have the parking at the back of the apartment and to not have to worry about finding somewhere to park the car. Within walking distance to Torquay and Paignton town centre. We’ll hopefully be back again and will recommend to family and friends. Thank you for the rental of your beautiful apartment.

  • This is our second stay at David & Helens apartment and it is so lovely. Everything you want is here it’s spotlessly clean and like home from home. It’s warm, inviting and relaxing. The views out to sea are stunning. With your own reserved parking space and a lift should you need it this place has everything you need for a holiday.
