Places to stay in Fawsley
PROS: New bathroom, new kitchen, king size bed, clean, quiet, warm, comfortable, owner out every evening so sole use of house, sofa (TV remote!) and all facilities, small, friendly, self sufficient dog (Border Terrier) Eddie, who is practically mute so no barking but good company! Lovely garden with seating, 10 minutes walk to Daventry centre, short drive to M1, M40, DIRFT, Ford etc CONS: Dog might not be everyone's cup of tea (gasp!) due to allergies. Awaiting carpet after recent renovations!
Adjacent to a park and in a quiet culdesac yet close to amenities, fish and chip shop and handy, local store. This space is a relaxed home from home.
Quiet neighbourhood with little disturbance and friendly atmosphere yet walkable into Daventry town centre for restaurants/pubs/takeaway.
  • A very polite dog and an amazing breakfast makes this place wonderful. I will certainly go back.

  • Excellent host! Breakfast ready on the table when you come down stairs!! Great dog called Eddie to hang out with too!

    Simon2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beks and her pooch Eddie were very welcoming. I had everything I needed and more. It was my first time booking an Air B&B room only and after this experience I would not hesitate to do it again.

  • This is a really great little find if you need a place to stay in the area. Such a beautiful house, with some really lovely touches for you to enjoy your stay. Really peaceful, easy parking and a very friendly dog. Not sure what else you could want for somewhere to stay!

    Tiffany2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay with Rebekah- a really comfortable bed, in a welcoming and warm room, on a very quiet road, meant that I had a fantastic restful night’s sleep. She is the perfect host, friendly and welcoming- and so is her charming dog, Eddie! The house has been really tastefully decorated, with lots of thoughtful and homely touches throughout. I would thoroughly recommend Beks and her house for anyone needing an Airbnb in the area!

  • We were attending a wedding at a nearby venue. John kindly offered to drive us to the venue. He is a lovely host with a beautiful apartment that is in a wonderful village in the middle of outstanding countryside. We would definitely recommend Johns apartment as it offers space to chill, a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom to rest weary bones . The local pub is old with original features but book before you go as it’s popular.

Stunning, cosy cottage with space to accommodate two couples or a family, perfect for weekend getaways, overnight stops or week-long vacations. Located in the rural village of Byfield on the Northamptonshire/Oxfordshire/Warwickshire border with endless things to do and see! The Cottage at The Old Haberdashery has been recently refurbished and is located within walking distance of a shop, post office, beautiful park/cricket pavillion, pub and a good choice of scenic walks right on your doorstep.
The Cottage is perfect for weekend getaways, overnight business trips or week long holidays with lots to see and do locally.
Byfield is a friendly village with a beautiful park, cricket pavilion and quick village walks or longer romps around the local reservoir. In addition there is a superb shop selling most items you would find in a larger supermarket. The village pub is good for a drink and superb food can be found a short drive away at The Red Lion in Culworth or The Royal Oak in Eydon. The Kitchen at Farnborough is another popular place to eat, with wood fired Pizzas and an extensive gastro menu. Fawsley Hall is just a few miles away with afternoon tea and more formal dining. The grounds provide wonderful scenery for more rural walks. Further afield Sulgrave Manor, Canons Ashby House, Upton House, Charlecote Park and Farnborough Hall are all National Trust houses well worth a visit. Blenheim Palace is open to the public and holds regular events or or on a rainy day why not opt for some retail therapy at Bicester Village!

This is a gorgeous self-contained annexe which makes a cosy home-from-home for the business traveller, or a great place for a weekend escape. We are well placed for businesses in Daventry, Banbury and Brackley, as well as all the attractions of Silverstone, Oxford, Bicester Village and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. I can provide breakfast (and other meals) by arrangement.
This is an old stone barn that we converted into a lovely little cottage. Guests have their own front door, wet-room, comfortable living room, and can then go upstairs for a good night's sleep in a king-size double bed (or twin singles) with pure cotton sheets and feather and down pillows. It has an under-counter fridge (stocked with wine, beer soft drinks and milk), microwave, portable two-ring electric hob, toaster and kettle so self-catering is easy, although there are excellent pubs and a café nearby. I wash and replace dirty plates/cutlery each day, and also offer a laundry service if required.
We are in beautiful countryside in a designated Special Landscape Area, with the Jurassic Way footpath passing close by. Eydon itself is a historic conservation village. The neighbouring village of Woodford Halse has a good selection of shops including a Co-op, butcher, chemist and post office.
  • Great place for a single person or a couple. Bigger than I expected. Very cosy, with a lovely, comfy bed. Victoria was very helpful and accommodating and left thoughtful touches like homemade cookies! Would stay again

  • A lovely space to be in for a few days, very warm and cosy. Quiet and peaceful setting to get a bit of work done and good TV to relax in the evening. The only quibble is the cooking facilities are a bit of a faff but this is described in the listing, but the host is attentive at washing the dishes which is appreciated!

    Martin2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely warm, cosy and comfortable accommodation. Great hospitality and a clean place, with great access to local pubs etc.

The Coachouse is part of an equestrian property. You'll see thoroughbreds grazing around you. Set in secluded countryside, with a network of fantastic footpaths, but attractions like Silverstone circuit, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stowe landscape gardens and Cannons Ashby, even Oxford, are within easy reach as well as a host of gastro pubs and restaurants. We, the owners live next door and will respect your privacy but will be on hand if you need us. The perfect place to unwind in comfort.
So whether you're on holiday, working in the area, or using us as a stop-over, the Coachouse at Highfields is a great place to stay.
The neighbourhood is very rural and quiet. However, the M1 and M40 are only 10 miles away so road links are very good. And if you want a little night life or tourist attractions there are many within easy reach.
  • Lovely place in a lovely environment. There is everything you need for a medium/long stay. It is definitely a place worth recommending.

The Hobbit House is a unique hut made from reclaimed trees. The grass roof is speckled with wild flowers and there is an unfenced fishpond that attracts dragonflies and frogs. Think glamping rather than luxury accomodation! However, there is a fridge, kettle, electricity and lighting inside. A wood burning stove provides warmth on a cold night. Cooking facilities are outside, as is the toilet cabin. There is a small undercover area to sit outside and cook if it's raining. A rustic experience.
An ideal romantic hideaway for two or a great social place for groups of friends. The Hobbit House sleeps 2 on a superking size day bed plus a small adult/child on a small double bed. Groups will need to bring their own tents, equipment, sleeping bags etc and pitch next to it. Using the Hobbit House as a communal area for socialising rather than sleeping. The sofa beds within the Hobbit House are used for seating during the day and fold out to become beds at night. Bedding is stored in a trunk, out of the way. There are 4 power sockets inside, plus a small fridge, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities. The fairy lights both inside and out provide a wonderful ambience. There are extra lights inside which operate independently. A charming fire pit is provided to keep you toasty as you sit outside gazing at the stars. There is a pizza oven/bbq so that you can 'cook your own' and chill out. The toilet cabin has a flushable mains toilet, shower and hand basin plus space to store your bags.
Dodmoor House and Dodford Manor wedding venues are a 5 minute walk from the Hobbit House. Attractions nearby include Silverstone Circuit, Towcester Racecourse, Saints Rugby Ground, Althorp, Cannons Ashby House, Sulgrave Manor, Coton Manor and Gardens, Northampton/Daventry/Towcester festivals and shows, Braunston Canal Junction, plus many waterside and country walks through fields and woodland. Neighbouring County Warwickshire offers the delights of Warwick Castle, Coombe Abbey and Stratford Upon Avon. Dodford is conveniently situated near to Junction 16 of the M1. Close to Long Buckby Train station (direct access to London Euston) and within 45 minutes of Birmingham International Airport or Luton Airport.

Your room is 'self contained' so you have complete privacy. The room sits above our double garage. On entering, there is a downstairs toilet, then up a small flight of stairs to a king-size bed and in-room shower. Sorry but we do not offer a cooked breakfast but I do provide a continental breakfast in your room. I also provide fresh milk for tea/coffee. There is also a small fridge in the room. Your hosts will be in the main house during your stay but you will not be bothered ... unless you want to be! Our village has so much character. Our house is Grade II listed. We have splendid walks heading out in all directions from the village. You can then return to a well deserved drink in the local pub (light lunches Monday-Saturday). Closed Wednesday and no evening meals I'm afraid but they serve a great Sunday lunch. The pub also has free Wi-Fi. There is off-road parking. We are only a 20 minute drive from Silverstone Race track, 5 minutes from Fawsley Hall, 5 minutes from Dodford Manor, 15 minutes from Towcester Racecourse, 40 minutes from Banbury, and 20 minutes from Northampton.
  • Peace, comfort, style and sparklingly clean ; welcoming, unobtrusive hospitality.

  • A very stylish loft conversion. Warm and cosy which is not always the case for this type of building. Very well appointed and totally sparkling clean. Breakfast was perfect. Shower works very well. Bed is of a high standard as was the bed linen.

  • The Dovecote is a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and light and and airy. The bed is so comfortable, you won't want to get out of it in the morning! The room was sparkling clean, the bed linen fresh and nice smelling. The shower lovely and hot. Angela is a fantastic host - nothing is too much trouble. It's a five star rating from me.

    Amanda2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy space with everything you need for a short stay. Bed was comfy and everything was spotless. The village is very quiet and peaceful and set in a lovely part of the country.

Beautiful self contained one bedroom detached cottage with parking
Pretty self contained one bedroom cottage, with ensuite bathroom and king size bed. There is a well equipped kitchen area with a microwave, electric hob, oven/grill, slow cooker, toaster and tea and coffee making facilities. Unfortunately I am unable to provide a cooked breakfast but will always ensure you have some milk and a small welcome pack (croissants/bread, butter, preserves, yoghurt, granola and fruit) for your immediate needs. If you wish to make your own cooked breakfast there are adequate facilities to grill and fry or you can just use the small oven/grill to warm the croissants through. Tea and coffee (instant and filter) is available for your use. We keep some sliced bread in the freezer so can you have fresh toast whenever you like, with a small selection of preserves (including our homemade jams). The living/dining area has a dining table and chairs for some intimate dining by candle light, or stretch out on the sofa after a days walking with a well earned cuppa or beer/wine and a take away. Alternatively pop out to the pub/cafe next door for supper. (please note however, that The Romer Arms is not open on a Monday). We have an agreement with the Romer Arms (Maria & David) that if you would like to take your supper/lunch back to the Annex to eat, they will happily plate something up for you? The food is Portuguese and the facility more of a cafe than a pub, however we would thoroughly recommend the seafood stew, monkfish stew, skewers and tiger grilled prawns. The food is prepared fresh when ordered so it is best to give them some advance notice if you have time constraints. However, there are other great local dining options (information on the sideboard with our personal recommendations all within a 3/4 mile radius) The small oven/grill is also quite handy for pizzas and ready meals. Please be careful that as the oven housing does get hot when used for a long period of time. If you are mega organised, why not use the slow cooker so your supper is waiting for you at home after your long walk.
Great walking location, and easy access to the market town of Daventry. Newnham is surrounded by beautiful countryside providing great walking to neighbouring villages which offer a variety of eating and drinking venues. There are also a selection of local takeaways that will deliver to Newnham from Daventry. We are approximately 2 miles from Fawsley Hall, 2.5 miles to Dodford Manor/Dodmoor House wedding venues, 10 miles to Althorpe House and Estate, and 15 miles to Silverstone with easy access to the M1 junction 16 or 18.
  • A great place to stay with easy access to Daventry. Great host very hospitable. Apartment is well kept and great as an alternative to a hotel.

  • Karen’s place was great - we spent 3 nights relaxing over new year in a lovely annexe with lots of unexpected personal touches. Information provided made it really easy to spend our time well, so we took on a 3.5 hour walk through the countryside (which was beautiful) with a great pub lunch half way round). A perfect place for a short getaway!

    Alexjevedib2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Karen is helpful, and adds the little touches that make it special. It was so lovely to walk into a thoughtfully laid out area, where we could relax, and make ourselves at home. Really good value for money, and I thoroughly recommend Peartree as a place to stay.

    Tor2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We received a warm welcome from both Karen and her husband Martin. Nothing was too much trouble. A great location with super walks.

    Sue2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Martin were wonderful hosts and could not do enough for me. The cottage is so welcoming and snug and I very much enjoyed a relaxing and quiet 3-week stay taking in the country air on my daily walks. Hayley (labrador) was an added and unexpected bonus and proved to be a delightful companion. I hope to be back next year! … Nataliya.

    Marc2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely home from home in a great location. Easy to get to and plenty of places to eat in the local villages. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and a good shower. Great selection of items in the welcome pack including cake and wine - always a welcome addition!

    Rachel2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely peaceful stay at Pear Tree Cottage. It's a really cosy space in a quiet village and we slept so well! It was also lovely that Karen left breakfast things for us - one less thing to worry about. We hope to be back soon - especially as we didn't have chance to use the picnic basket!

    Rachel2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A little Gem with a Perfect Host! This place is a little gem, it is gorgeous, with decent characteristic furniture, set in a beautiful little village, photos do not do this place justice. Karen was a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble, and all the attention to detail makes it a perfect stay. The property has enough space and facilities you require for a stay, plenty of storage, whatever you require Karen has thought about it already! The bed is super comfy, lounge space has a tv with freeview if you fancy staying in and chilling, Karen has also left details of anything local you need to know about, including walks, pubs, takeaways etc. We used this as a base for MotoGP at Silverstone, it was ideal as about 20-25min easy drive away. The only negative I found was that we were out all day every day at the MotoGP so we didn’t spend much time in the annex, so will be booking again so we can fully experience the local area!

  • I recently stayed at Victoria's AirBnB on my own for two work trips. It is a truly stunning and only recently completed large 2 bedroom property. It is a beautiful space in a beautiful location. There is a brand new fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine - which I loved as I like to cook when I am away. I was greeted both times, which was lovely. There was plentiful tea, coffee, biscuits, preserves and breakfast ingredients. This AirBnB would be lovely for a weekend away in the country or for a longer holiday. I would thoroughly recommend.

    Maureen2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This wonderful barn conversion is perfectly located in a relaxing rural setting. There are beautiful rolling fields everywhere you turn. We loved being able to have a gentle stroll across the land to watch the deer before we lost the daylight - that really was an added treat. The accommodation is home from home offering everything you might need. It has been completed to a very high standard, and as you would expect it is very clean and tidy. From the start we had prompt communication to our enquiry and any questions we had were answered very quickly. This made the booking process very easy. Victoria is a lovely lady who greeted us on our arrival and never made us feel that anything was too much trouble. If we are ever in the area again we would certainly return. Thank you once again Victoria. Kindest Regards April and Ian

  • Wonderful little escape. Lovely sense of 'middle-of-nowhere' within a unique little piece of land. Everything we needed was available in the cabin, and the surroundings were just what we required. We plan to return.

    Paul2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Craig’s place was absolutely perfect for our family! From beginning to end, Craig was very quick and easy to communicate with. The directions to his place were spot on. We came without a car and it was very easy to get a taxi from the train station to his property. The cabin itself was cosy and clean with very comfortable beds and sofas. We spent most of our time on the property so that our small children could play outside. The pigs and the dogs were an absolute hit with our toddler. She looked forward to helping feed the pigs in the evenings. We enjoyed walking along the tow path. 20 minutes to the left is a fabulous pub, The Heart of England, 30 minutes to the right is Heart of the Shires shopping village. We wanted to stay somewhere where the kids could play outside and we could take nice walks... Craig’s place ticked all the boxes for us. We would definitely stay again!

    Krista2019-08-16T00:00:00Z

This charming country style bedroom with private en-suite is situated on the first floor of our house. It is fully self contained with private access via an external metal spiral staircase. Enjoy the panoramic views from your own balcony, whilst enjoying a cuppa or a glass of wine. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. Staircase is spiral and quite narrow - 12 steps. We are happy to carry your bags/cases to the room. The camp bed is suitable for a child or small adult only. See our other self-contained en-suite bedroom 'The Garden Room' on airbnb. Also sleeps 3/4 people.
  • Great and convenient place for wedding venues. Very friendly host who couldn’t do enough for you! Great stay - would recommend

  • We had a lovely stay at Amanda’s place with our 7 month old daughter.

  • Lovely place to stay.

    Fran2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda & David were amazing, really warm welcome and we felt at home in their lovely cottage. Extremely well looked after and made to feel very special. We stayed here the day before the wedding and on the wedding day that was at Dodford Manor, perfect location and we would recommend to anybody. Thank you once again for everything! Abbie & Carl

    Carl2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We just spent two very comfortable nights at Honeymoon Cottage, myself and my husband in one room and our daughters and granddaughter in the other. We were attending a wedding at Dodford Manor and the location could not have been more ideal. Amanda and Dave even offered us a lift! Everything we needed was provided and the facilities were first class. The views we're lovely. The only thing I would mention was that the upstairs, double room was reached by an external metal staircase which is only suitable for people without any mobility issues (or phobias, which out daughter suffers from). The downstairs room however was quite accessible with a great'wetroom' type shower. Altogether a lovely experience.

    Debbie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda really lived up to the super host title. Not only is her place gorgeous with lots of lovely touches but she and her husband could not have been more helpful and welcoming as hosts.

    Kevin2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous weekend at Honeymoon Cottage. Beautiful setting, high standard room with lots of lovely touches and extras thrown in, and exceptional hospitality from Amanda and Dave. Nothing was too much trouble (and we asked for a fair few things) and the welcome couldn't have been friendlier. The two rooms have independent access so it doesn't feel like you are intruding too much on Amanda and Dave's home, and the lovely garden is large has several areas that can be occupied without getting in the way too much. We were attending a wedding at Dodmoor House, which is walkable but probably not in high heels ladies. As it was, Amanda dropped us off which was great. Taxis come from Daventry so already have a fair bit on the meter when they pick you up, so Amanda giving us a lift was most welcome. We can't praise Honeymoon Cottage enough. It's lovely in every way and we'll definitely be back.

    Kevin2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • If I was to run an AirBnB this is the model I would use. Prompt communication, accurate description, warm welcome, lovely touches in the accommodation and a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. Thank you both for such a lovely stay.

Welcome to Eydon, a stunning unspoilt village with glorious ancient houses set in an amazingly quiet rural area.. seemingly miles from anywhere but only 15 minutes drive from major towns such as Banbury and Daventry. The house is on the ancient High St and offers so much cozy character - flagstone floors/underfloor heating/a character dining conservatory, well equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms and a third single bed. The local rolling countryside is absolutely stunning with walks in all directions. There is also the Royal Oak just around the corner, a superb ancient pub, a great equestrian boutique cafe/shop is also nearby. An ideal weekend retreat from the everyday world!

  • Marks place is extremely peaceful, no loud sounds or glaring lights. The village is very picturesque and the cottage is beautifully fitted out and very cosy, clean and well situated. We had a very enjoyable stay.

    Amy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully cosy, comfortable and stylish place to stay. The open fire was lovely to have going and the dining area in the conservatory had a lovely ambience ... the fairy lights outside were a nice touch. It was peaceful and relaxing, nice walks nearby and great food at the pub. A really lovely cottage.

    Julie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning cottage in a stunning location. Eydon is a picturesque quiet village with country walks and a local pub just round the corner (as well as some great pubs a short drive away). The cottage itself is even better than it looks in the pics - beautifully decorated with modern touches, but retaining all the character you’d want. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen and the great spacious dining room in the conservatory. Mark was great in meeting us and showing us around. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

    Dan2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The most Christmassy Christmas we've had in years! We stayed at the cottage over Christmas and it was divine. The owners put a gorgeous tree and lights up, which was lovely. The cottage is gorgeous and much more spectacular than we were expecting. I would highly recommend the cottage - it had everything we needed. We want to go back!

    Sophie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Tatjana are wonderful, welcoming hosts and their cottage is homely, warm and exactly what my wife, daughter and I needed from a weekend escaping London. The local village comes with a great local pub, cafe and a lot of nearby walks. The cottage itself comes equipped with everything you’ll need and an incredible open fire we made full use of. Great value, great hosts, great cottage and a great location. Fully recommend and kind of wish we were still there right now!

    Alex2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Mark’s place for my partner’s birthday, hoping for a quiet and cosy winter retreat in the countryside. We were not disappointed- this gorgeous stone cottage with roaring open fire was exactly what we wanted. Stunning home with lovely little touches to make us feel comfortable. Mark was there to greet us with the fire already going- he couldn’t have been more helpful, and was very accommodating of our cat who came with us! I cannot recommend staying here highly enough, and we would love to stay again. Thank you Mark!

    Louisa2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place is a lovely cottage, though perhaps not best suited for tall people, unless you're used to ducking through doorways. Not a problem for me and my family. The village of Eydon is beautiful, full of Cotswold stone cottages, and you must check out the Royal Oak around the corner for a pint and food - though be aware there's no food served on Mondays and Tuesdays.

    Jamie2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely character cottage in a stunning village. Nice space for a family of four. Food at the Royal Oak pub excellent. Highly recommended.

Book End cottage is a cosy retreat on the edge of the village of Woodford Halse, in the heart of rural Northamptonshire. You will enjoy beautiful views from the bedroom window, a comfortable bed and a delicious home cooked breakfast served in our pretty cottage dining room. Book End Cottage is a lovely retreat for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
  • I had a lovely stay at Book End Cottage & the host’s was really kind & lovely. The breakfast was really nice and filling. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

    Katy2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie’s Place was a great place to stay. The hosts are very accommodating and breakfast was amazing. We were there for a wedding at Crockwell Farm, so it was a great location for us. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

    Janet2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie's place is really lovley in the most beautiful village there is so much to explore there. If you love walking, biodiversity and trains there are lots of walks and the old railway system is fasinating story. It has many little independant shops, very rare for a village of this size and the fields are still small scale with trees and sheep grazing good for wild flowers. The welcome we had was great and there's a lovely view across the hills from the bedroom window and breakfast too. They really looked after us.

    Ceri2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly and helpful hosts, breakfast was lovely highly recommend. Will stay here again.

  • My son and I had a lovely overnight stop and look forward to going back if we need to stay in the area again

    Jackie2019-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie and her husband were quite friendly and gracious. The room was very clean. The bathroom was large and well stocked with everything we needed. The delicious proper English breakfast served in the morning kept us well nourished for the day ahead. If you are looking for a cozy room in a quaint English village, this is your place.

    Susan2018-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn’t recommend Maggie’s place to stay more! Absolutely beautiful home, lovely room & bathroom, exceptional hosts and a lovely breakfast the next morning! I stayed there with a friend after attending a wedding at Crockwell Farm - Maggie’s husband gave us a lift down there and let us back in in the evening (after offering to pick us up too!). The location was great with plenty of parking. Thank you for having us to stay, Maggie!

    Rebecca2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We throroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The room was nice and bright with a comfy bed. Maggie and her husband were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and they made an extra effort to support our vegan dietary requirements which was greatly appreciated. We would certainly stay again if we are back in the area!

Honeymoon Cottage is a beautiful stone built property, situated by the stream. There are 2 bedrooms (bookable separately) sleeping 7 in total. Dodford is a small, sleepy village with a beautiful open ford. Honeymoon Cottage is ideally located away from the main road, surrounded by fields, with no immediate neighbours. It's equi-distant to both wedding venues (Dodford Manor and Dodmoor House) which are just a 5-10 minute walk, less than half a mile. Silverstone circuit is a 20 minute drive.
This modern style bedroom is situated on the ground floor within the main house. It is fully self contained with it's own entrance, you do not need to come through our house to access the space. The main bed can be made up as either a Superking or 2 x single beds. An additional two folding camp beds can be provided which are suitable for children or small adults. All beds are within the same spacious room. The bedroom is lockable with a Yale lock. There is a private bathroom containing toilet, shower and small hand basin. Double aspect folding doors open out from the bedroom onto a patio area directly outside your room, where there are patio chairs and a small table for your use. Another self contained en-suite bedroom (sleeps 3) is also available at this property. See 'The Country Bedroom' on airbnb.
Attractions nearby include Silverstone Circuit, Towcester Racecourse, Saints Rugby Ground, Althorp, Cannons Ashby House, Sulgrave Manor, Coton Manor and Gardens, Northampton/Daventry/Towcester festivals and shows, Braunston Canal Junction, plus many waterside and country walks through fields and woodland. • Spacious and very clean throughout. WiFi and TV and easy touch bedside lamps. Thoughtful touches including pastry’s, yoghurts & fruit for breakfast, with fresh orange and tea/coffee facilities (even different milk options). Beds, sofa & table/chairs in the room, but still plenty of room. Separate entrance area made it feel like we were in an annex rather than a room which was great as more spacious. This also meant we had a lobby area to keep the bikes safely indoors, which was an added bonus. The bathroom with shower/toilet was in this area too. Amanda was great at communicating and was so helpful when we arrived early. Polite & friendly hosts. Would stay again and may even try the hobbit house next time! Would recommend.

    Philippa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a clean, smart room. Very spacious. Family were extremely welcoming. Lots of extras and scrummy breakfast foods. Would definitely recommend if going to Doodmore House or Hall as just up the road.

  • Lovely spot and perfect accommodation and lots of lovely little touches. Breakfast was delicious, and thank goodness for the complementary shampoo - I’d forgotten mine.

    Fran2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing stay, Amanda & David are so welcoming. They even made us brownies whilst we were getting ready for the big day! My now wife spent her night before with her bridesmaids and they all enjoyed themselves, plenty of space in the morning to get ready with makeup artist, hair stylist & mother! Highly recommended if you are going to have your wedding at Dodford Manor, such a perfect location. My wife and I stayed there on the night of our wedding as well, we came back to pettles on the bed which was adorable, comfortable nights sleep and a nice continental breakfast in the morning, they've gone above and beyond, thank you again.

    Carl2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning property. We stayed for a couple of days whilst attending a wedding locally. Lovely big room and walk in shower/wet room. Tea & coffee making facilities and food for a continental breakfast. Lovely location

  • Comfortable and stylish accommodation. Ideally placed for visiting the area, especially the proximity to the Grand Union canal and local walks.

  • What a beautiful and peaceful location. Amanda and Dave are just the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, very welcoming and jolly hosts. The room was very clean and the bed soooo comfy! The extra little touches of breakfast in the room were very nice. Looking forward to returning in the future - totally amazing.

    Julie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Honeymoon cottage is a real secret gem, both for the appearance of the house, rooms and surroundings and also for the welcome offered by Amanda and family throughout our stay. The rooms are very comfortable and supplied with plentiful breakfast food and snacks as well as hot and cold drinks. We were even given a lift to the wedding venue, which was not expected but very helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there and I m sure we will return in the future to explore the area more. Very highly recommended.

  • Nice room with great air conditioning and a good shower - hot, powerful and clean. Emily was a very kind host, with incredibly quick responses to all messages sent. The room itself doesn't have a lock, but the house and the host together provide sufficient security and peace of mind. Emily was also able to be flexible about check in time, which was very useful! Thanks!
