  • Loved our stay! Great location to explore Hereford and surrounding areas. We took Brigid’s recommendations and went for walks in Aconbury Wood and the Forest of Dean, a short drive away. Loved watching the birds feeding, quiet, has everything you need, very dog friendly. Thank you.

  • Amazing place to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends. Great social space to chat in the evening and all eat at the table for dinner. Really well presented comfortable rooms with great little touches. Caroline was very helpful and responsive, making arranging the stay simple and easy.

    Robert2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house and lovely location. We had a fantastic hen weekend there.

    Rachel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline's house was perfect. I arranged it for me and my bridesmaids to stay in the night before my wedding (and for them to stay in the night of, as well). It was wonderful, such a large open space for us to have fun and get ready in - the photos were lovely as well. It worked perfectly with a lovely big table for us to eat all together in, and plenty of bathrooms with great showers- for when we were all trying to get ready at once. It was a wonderful few days and I couldn't recommend Caroline's house more for large groups looking to relax and spend time together. I would love to stay again sometime. Thank you so much Caroline!

    Francesca2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, large house. Great pool, sauna and hot tub. Perfect for big groups.

    Arthur2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great base for the hen do we organised. The place was even better than it looked in photos. Lovely and clean and plenty of room. Caroline responded quickly whenever I messaged. I would have loved to have stayed for longer. The robes and crocs were a great touch.

    Samantha2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home away from home. Pool was warmer than expected

    Aimee2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully restored cider barn with excellent (huge) pool, hot tub and sauna. Comfortably slept 10 and 3 children. Recommend kayaking the river Wye nearby if you need a day activity. Caroline was very responsive and happy to help. All-in-all we had a great stay and a great sleep!

  • I can't comment on the glamping pod as we were upgraded (thank you!) to the railway carriage. The carriage was lovely. It included a shower and toilet with heaters which definitely helped during our cold and wet November night stay. The hot tub was spot on. We went for food in the local pub (which was about a 5 minute walk) and it served lovely pub grub. Would definitely recommend staying here to friends and family! Thanks for a great stay!

An amazing self contained romantic glamping space with wonderful views across the valley to be enjoyed from the cosy inside or relax in the wood-fired hot tub adjacent. If you're looking to escape from the real world and switch off from technology then this place is for you. There is no lock key. Located perfectly for exploring the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons with amazing places to discover & fantastic scenery. Double bed, sofa, en-suite shower, kitchenette (hob, microwave, sink & fridge).
Our Pod is set in a private location with uninterrupted views across the valley towards the mountains of Wales, which can be enjoyed from the seating provided on the porch, or from the cosiness of inside. It is a wonderfully organised, self-contained unit, accommodating double bed, en-suite shower room with toilet and sink, kitchen area and sofa. We provide all bed linen, towels, cutlery and crockery. There is a kettle, saucepan, frying pan and utensils for your use. We offer no shared facilities, and the hot tub is situated immediately adjacent to The Pod in a private secluded location.
The local neighbourhood offers a true getaway from busy lives, with local pub, shop and many beautiful walks and fantastic scenery. We are a very rural area, with limited mobile and 4G coverage which means you can truly switch off. The closest supermarkets are 20-30 minutes drive away.
  • Absolutely loved our stay here. We booked last minute at the peak of covid-19 chaos and Rob and Sophie couldn’t have been more communicative and accommodating. Really peaceful and beautiful break away :) would recommend to anyone!

    Alex2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The pod was perfect, everything you could need was provided, the pod was really clean and the eggs and croissants left for us on our arrival were a lovely touch. The hot tub was lit ready for our arrival too which was much appreciated. Lovely views and a lovely area. Thank you so much for having us and we only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Josh2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot overlooking some stunning scenery. Extremely responsive and helpful from the minute we booked till the minute we left. The hot tub was just magical under the stars. The pod was extremely clean and had absolutely everything we needed to make the most out of the weekend. Cannot recommend enough.

  • Rob and Sophie's place is absolutely lovely. They are generous and kind hosts that are available if you need anything, but give you your own space as well! The location is also awesome for hiking in the local area :)

    Hannah2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • WOW!! looking for peace & quiet? the perfect couples break? somewhere to just sit back, relax and enjoy the view? this is the perfect place. Perfectly sized, clean and well thought out. Plenty of room for cooking, book reading and sleeping. The bed is SO comfy and the spa shower is an amazing add on (although make sure to turn the spa jets on AFTER the door is closed hahahaha). Anyways, we booked super last minute but both Rob & Sophie were so kind and lovely through our stay. They very kindly also lent us some oil to cook with. Lots nearby with a small drive and beautiful views. Hot tub is an amazing add on too and was very kindly lit for our arrival by the hosts. Perfect in the summer or winter, as underfloor heating keeps the whole pod toasty. Bed lifts up for clever storage and has everything you need from cooking essentials to books to read. Will 100% be staying here again and will recommend it to everyone!! 10/10 thankyou so much guys xx

  • We couldn’t have had a better stay over the New Year. The location is remote and we cooked our own meals most nights but that was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to switch off for a few days. Hot tub is great and Sophie pre-lit it for us for when we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

Welcome to our absolutely magical glamping camps. Glamping is a chance to reconnect with family and friends and is as much about how you experience the outdoors as the space you stay in. Each site is individually designed and great thought has gone into making your stay an exciting adventure with huge comfort and privacy. You will spend your days walking the woods and orchards, fishing on the River Wye, relaxing in the comfortable sitting areas and cooking on open fires or pizza ovens.
The lodge was built in 1835 as a hunting lodge for Sir John Richard Cotterell and is situated privately on its own in the middle of 350 acre woodland on the family estate about a mile up a track. The lodge had not been used for probably 60 years but is now renovated to keep its charm and to make it comfortable for guests with proper beds and a sink with hot running water provided from its own well. It is completely off grid, with solar power for some light and to power the fridge. The lodge has three woodburners - one in each of the bedrooms and one in the sitting room. Wood is provided for you. The beds will be made up ready for your arrival and bath towels are also provided. The bathroom is found in a separately accessed outhouse house with a gas powered modern walk-in shower, wash hand basin and flushing loo, so this is not quite a typical camping experience, more like experiencing a turn back in time. There is a small camping stove for cooking, and also a huge firepit and outside sitting area with a woodfired hot tub nestled on the edge of the woodland. The lodge is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). One well behaved dog is welcome. The closest bus and train service is Hereford, 9 miles away, your own transport is recommended.
Nearby Hereford has a wonderful cathedral and the famous Mappa Mundi is housed next door. The city also has all the usual shops and chain restaurants, historic walks and hidden gems. Hay-on-Wye is just up the road in 15 minutes and is a glorious border town, with plenty of history and has the literary festival there every year. The sites are close to the historic 'black and white trail' of Herefordshire, leading to the Brecon Beacons.
  • Mrs Higgs Lodge is a brilliant little lodge in a large estate. This was our second trip here and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is basic, but has everything you need. As we’d been before, we knew what to expect and weren’t disappointed. There have been some changes since we were there last year with a new hot tub and fridge but otherwise very much the same basic and cozy lodge. The closest pub, The Portway Inn and Oakchurch farm shop are a 45-60min (4.4km) walk away, which we went to each day. We will be back again.

    Shelly2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful

    Beth2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you have a fella like mine who is part cave man and part pyromaniac you could not find a better place. As soon as he arrived he was making and lighting the fire for the hot tub. Lovely and remote and secluded. We had the most relaxing and happy weekend away. The lodge is as described back to nature but with little home comforts.

    Rachael2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We as a family absolutely loved our stay here. Myself, my husband, our son and two dogs all booked this place last minute for our sons 1st birthday and it was exactly what we needed. To get away from it all and be able to focus on what really matters... with no distractions such as phones, TV etc. The cottage was beautiful and very authentic, although basic it had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time outside in the surrounding forest, walking collecting pine cones and picking blackberries, our little boy loved that. The hot tub was amazing, it took us about 2-3 hrs to heat with wood but it was well worth the wait! We splashed and played in there until it started to get dark then went in and snuggled up by the log burner inside. One of the days we visited a little village called Hay-on-wye, it was well worth a visit roughly around a 15 minute drive away, famous for its book shops. Lovely oldy worldy sort of place where we stopped to have a home made lunch at a cafe called 'The Granary' We also bought some marshmallows for roasting and tried out the outdoor BBQ which was fab and great fun for the 3 of us whilst our dogs chilled outside. All in all a Fabulous get away and will definitely be returning in the future, just prepare yourself with warm clothing for the evenings and bare in mind there is NO electric in the cottage to plug in electrical items. The only downside for us was the length of the bed in the bedroom, I'm not exactly tall myself and my feet kind of hung off the end, but not the end of the world!! Also just a note to take care on the wooden stairs in the cottage as they are very steep. Thanks so much for a great stay! We will definitely never forget our sons 1st birthday... & thanks to Suzy for making sure we had everything we needed. Jessica, Luke & Luca x

    Jessica2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Just wonderful! Peaceful and serene in the presence of nature. Great short stay, even better for a long stay. Beautiful nature walks, star gazing on clear nights, warming up by the fire in the evening, plenty of fire wood for the hot tub and just all round an incredible experience for nature lovers. Kids enjoyed the walks but not so much the lack of modern day conveniences. We would definitely return, perhaps for a more romantic excursion without the sound of “what no TV and no WiFi!” 🤣 The fur baby 🐕 loved every minute, he was able to run and play and do as he liked, no lead no worries just one big and happy pooch...just amazing 🥰

    Ysabel2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic spot in an idyllic location. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time - slowing down and getting back to nature. The lodge is rustic and ‘off grid’ but more than comfortable. We spent most days lighting fires, walking in the woods, reading, playing cards or lounging in a hammock or the hot tub. We did manage to organise ourselves enough to hire mountain bikes (from Drover Cycles in Hay who delivered to the lodge) and go canoeing on the Wye (Want to Canoe are an absolutely lovely bunch) but other than that we just chilled out in and around the lodge. Perfect.

    Ric2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is an amazing retreat in the woods - it feels like another world. We had a wonderful couple of days here and could easily have stayed longer, walking in the woods, spotting deer and returning to enjoy the hot tub, which was still warm in the morning!

Coach House built in 1899, now fully renovated to provide fantastic space a 10 min walk from the Cathedral. Up: Amazing master bedroom suite with double whirlpool Japanese bath (the 'hot-tub') & walk-in shower. Down: Wetroom, kitchen, lounge & 2 courtyard gardens.
My husband Gary and I rescued The Coach House at auction in October 2013 and then spent the next 24 months taking it from a derelict 'shed', as we affectionately call it, with no services whatsoever and a large hole in the roof to a fantastic detached 1 bedroom home in the centre of Hereford. With award winning local architects on board (RRA Architects Ltd) and builders (R M Caldicott & Sons Ltd) who were committed to our vision, we have been sympathetic to the original structure whilst adding a very modern extension to expand the living space.
Hereford is steeped in history and the location of The Coach House is a stone's throw (10 minute walk) from the Cathedral and the historic centre. Residential parking can be a challenge in Hereford so the private parking space means you can easily explore the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and its charming villages, without the torture of finding a convenient parking spot upon your return! Hereford's many pubs, restaurants and nightspots are also within a 10 minute walk so no excuse not to sample a beverage or two! The Cider Museum is a mere 5 minute walk away!!! Major supermarkets are also on the doorstep including a 24 hour Asda.
  • Probably the best air bnb I’ve stayed in. Clean, stylish, good location and a perfect place to chill out and forget about the world! Thanks again Jane, will definitely be back.

  • It is a great flat perfect for short stays to visit the local area. It is about 20mins walk to Hereford High Street and there are a variety of local restaurants and takeaways. Amanda and Steve are great they are helpful and respond quickly. We had some difficulty with the wifi but ultimately it is a lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it.

  • Nice place and very confortable

  • The property is well situated close to Hereford city with other towns nearby to explore. Ledbury is a nice place to visit. Property is well maintained and spotlessly clean. We only met Steve who is very friendly and helpful. It is reasonably priced and would definitely recommend it.

  • Wonderful accommodation as described. Amanda met me as I arrived, it was warm, really comfortable and had everything and more than I needed for the night. Will be back again without doubt.

  • Great location and more space than I expected, friendly welcome. Perfect for a one night stay and probably for a longer one.

    Natalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with lots of space and privacy. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. If traveling with heavy luggage make sure to take a taxi to the house as the area has large hills and their driveway is very steep.

  • A stop-over for me between North Wales and Cardiff and a chance to meet up with some nearby friends. What a lovely surprise! Beautiful, serene location and Shauna and Terry had fantastic recommendations for places to eat in Hereford. Due to the flooding, i was a little worried about traveling around in my little city car. Shauna actually offered me a lift (as she had a more suitable vehicle dor the climate!), as she was going into town! Breakfast selection lovely and a very relaxed attitude (you can eat in your room or a dining area). The best bit? Possibly the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a B & B. Cannot recommend enough - will definitely be returning.

    Katie2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I travelled to Hereford on work related trip, my stay at Rasa wa most comfortable, house super clean, nicely decorated and met all my needs. The house was warm and a great shower with hot water good flow of water. The overall standard of the house and the exceptional hospitality from RASA was second to none. Rasa went an extra mile to pick me up at the station on arrival and Also dropped me off during departure. I will certainly be staying here again. THANK YOU RASA.

    Hilary2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely evening in Rasa’s place! It’s right in Hereford town centre, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants

    Lowri2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rasa's accommodation was perfect for our needs, and within walking distance of pretty much anywhere we needed to be in Hereford. We were able to park the car right on the drive, which was very convenient, especially as we arrived later than expected, after dark. Rasa was always quick to respond to queries, and flexible when we notified her of our delayed arrival. The flat is in an annex/extension with independent access, and it is immaculately clean, with a nice, firm bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with a comfy sofa and a big TV! A great option, and one we would doubtless use again for future visits to Hereford. Thank you, Rasa!

I live in a nice area of Hereford with my 5 year old son. It’s about a 20 minute walk into Hereford centre or £6 in a taxi. It’s 0.9 miles from Hereford hospital. You will have a single room and share the bathroom with myself and my son. You are welcome to use my kitchen. I have unlimited WiFi which you are welcome to use. Although I’ve put no breakfast I do have a range of cereals you are welcome to have and and you can have toast if wanted.
We have a lovely park about 5 minutes away which is great if you enjoy running. There is a shop with post office just around the corner and also a pub just up the road which does standard pub grub.

  • I had a nice stay at Lisa's. I needed to leave very early in the morning but saw Lisa when I arrived and she was friendly and welcoming. All facilities were as expected and I was able to use the kitchen and the lounge with the tv. Many thanks, will happily rebook if I am in Hereford again.

The River House is on the banks of the River Wye. It is a 10 minute walk into the historic city of Hereford. 35 minute drive to Hay on Wye. Guests will have access to the shared bathroom and also the garden overlooking the river. All the bedrooms are on the groundfloor, the upstairs is a private family space. No breakfast, but tea/coffee available in room. 5 minute walk to Asda and Sainsbury's or 10 minute walk into town for breakfast.
This is a Double room, with a wardrobe. You also have tea and coffee available in the room. I also have 2 other bedrooms available, one with a Kingsize bed & one with a single.
The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. There is a child's playpark next to the house which is ideal for families, but still doesnt disturb the peace of the home.
  • Great property

  • The room is warm, cosy and clean with thoughtful touches (tea, coffee and biscuits) and it is easy to check in on arrival. Karin is a lovely host who took the time to come and introduce us and make suggestions for dinner. It is in the perfect location for visiting Hereford as the town is only a short walk away along the canal. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Spacious Self contained one bedroomed ground floor Annexe, within our attractive Georgian Farmhouse, set in 26 acres of land, in The pretty Herefordshire village of Wellington. The Hereford Cattle breed was developed here in the 18 th Century .Well equipped kitchen, bedroom with ensuite shower and wc. Comfortable dual aspect Living Room. Horses, dogs and Livestock on site. Good parking and friendly owners Welcome pack and Continental breakfast included for the first night of your stay.
The Annexe is private and self contained with mobility aids, ( grab rails) at the entrance and inside the shower room area and to assist in rising from a toilet. Most door entrance widths are in excess of 30 inches apart from the main entrance to the Annexe from the hallway, which is about 29 inches wide. We have found that a small wheelchair can access all areas and mobility aids such as rollators, are easily used as it is all on one level. There is a walk in shower with a small five inch lip / step into the shower tray. We do have a shower stool if one were required. Access is across a stoned drive but parking is available right next to the main house so not too far to walk. Heading across a level paved patio area to the 44 inch wide front door . There are three steps about 6 inches high with hand rails each side and grab rails at the main door entrance. Then a wide hallway through to the Annexe. We would suggest the Annexe is suitable for persons with reduced mobility.
Wellington Village Is close to the Cathedral City of Hereford and conveniently located off the A49, main trunk road between South Wales and the Wirral and further Northwest. Beautiful Hay on Wye and Ludlow are not far and the Village itself has well used and signed footpaths in and around it. There is a thriving Village shop selling everything from Fine Wine and Beers , fresh bread and deli, fruit and veg and all the usual daily necessities. St Margaret’s Church, across the field from our home is worth a visit and Wellington Homes and Gardens located just off the A49 sells Architectural salvage, alongside beautiful plants. The Restaurant there has breakfast and lunch menus and easily accessible for the traveller. Beautiful Queenswood is located a five minute drive away with fabulous walks and vistas for every season and a friendly cafe serving hot drinks, snacks, breakfasts and lovely cakes ☺️
  • Beautifully clean annex set in glorious countryside. Janice was a great host. We enjoyed the breakfast cereals on offer and the soft drinks in the fridge. Lovely peaceful stay. Thank you :-)

  • We had such a lovely relaxing stay at The Annexe. It is in an idyllic setting surrounded by gorgeous land. Janice as a lovely host, who met us on arrival and showed us around the place. The Annexe itself was spotless and Janice even left some thoughtful touches such as breakfast for our stay and coffee table books for us to read. Such a wonderful stay here. Would definitely recommend as it is so cosy and homely and we will definitely look to return one day.

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing, peaceful accommodation. Extremely clean, thoughtful hosts with lots of nice touches to ensure the best stay possible. Would love to return.

    Jesse2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderfully peaceful week at Janice’s place! The annexe is immaculate (and spotlessly clean) with all the thoughtful touches - fresh milk, bread and flowers on arrival. We had one small problem with the fire alarms which was fixed straightaway and Janice replied to my questions very quickly. The annexe has everything you need to self cater for the week, including oils & spices for cooking. The bed is lovely and comfortable. The location is beautiful and I loved waking up each morning to views across the countryside. Can’t recommend this place highly enough! We will be back when the weather brightens a bit to explore more of the countryside.

    Rhian2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

Large single in a family home at St James Hereford. 5 mins walk to town, the Cathedral and 10 mins hospital and the Barrels Pub. 5 mins to the river and meadows. Mix in with our family including 2 cats. Breakfast, Cereal ,Toast O/J on a self service basis.
A fairly quirky room on the same floor as the bathroom, with a good shower above the bath. It is a hectic household, lots of people coming and going, always someone ready to chat but if you want peace and quiet and don't like mixing this is not the place for you xxxx you can have your own key and come and go as you please.
We are in a lovely old part of Hereford, St James (called the green belt) all Victorian houses, lovely friendly neighbors, close to town the park, river great pubs.
  • Its a very warm, cosy, friendly and hospitable place at city centre close to all amenities. I recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Hereford.

  • I had a lovely time with Caroline. She is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I loved chatting to her and her family.

    Kitty2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • When I decided to go to Hereford, a good friend indicated Carolina's house to me. I was received very well, and I ended up meeting a big, beautiful, loving family. The room is excellent, comfortable, very quiet, I liked it too. A real family. I was surprised on my birthday, it made me a beautiful and big surprise, bought a birthday cake and a beer (I like it a lot), it was really cool. I super recommend who wants to be in a house of kind people. Thank you Carolina, I felt like I was in my house.

    Sandro2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great find this was. Set in one of the best areas in Hereford, handy for the city centre too. Caroline had the kettle on within seconds of my arrival. Very friendly...home from home. I was going out in the evening, but was so comfortable there, I stayed in for the evening and had a wonderful night's sleep. Highly recommended.

    Andrew2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Truly delightful family. Warm, welcoming & full of fun. Charming house, full of gorgeous wooden furniture & fascinating finds. Caroline & Steve will immediately make you feel comfortable & there’s often lots of interesting people passing through. You’ll always be entertained in this lovely family house. Highly recommended. Will be back.

    Horia2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline: A very kind host! I had a lot of problems with my trip to Hereford because all the trains were canceled due to a fatality in the railroad. I was late, not knowing if it was possible to go to Hereford. I contacted my host, Caroline, who sent me support messages all the time !!! I came very late to her home, but I found the door keys and a warm and cozy room easily! Carolina's home is a beautiful shabby house and the environment is familiar and quiet! Caroline's house is a "home sweet home" that I recommend to all the community at 100%!

Relax in this cosy, Victorian self-contained property, situated in the quiet and attractive area of St James in historic Hereford, just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of town. This well-equipped, stylish ground-floor flat was modernised in 2019 to a high standard and is warm and private. The flat is a pleasant walk to shops, cathedral, river and local attractions. It is an ideal base for contract hospital staff as it is situated less than a mile’s walk from the hospital via quiet streets.
The flat is in a purpose-built Victorian building and has its own entrance. The whole living area is on ground floor level, with a small step up to the front door. If you wish to clarify anything at all with regards to accessibility, then do please ask before booking. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric induction cooker and fridge-freezer. All other kitchen utensils and cookware are provided as well as some basic ingredients for cooking. (oils, vinegar, spices etc). There's a cafetière, and a selection of teas are available. We've booked BT to come in and connect broadband on Monday March 9th. So I'm afraid if you would like to book before that date, there will be no Wi-Fi, sorry. There is a large flat-screen TV but no TV license. The flat has a double bedroom with an additional futon in the lounge that sleeps 1 person, so the space can comfortably sleep up to three guests. All bedlinen is provided and is 100% cotton. Pillows and duvet are brand new and anti-allergenic. The flat warms up quickly, the gas heating and electricity are with Ecotricity, a green energy provider. The windows are double-glazed. The accommodation has a completely new modern shower/toilet room and we provide showergels, hand creams soaps and towels, though you are welcome of course to bring your own! The dining table looks out onto a pleasant front yard. Our bird table was handmade by an elderly gentleman in Stroud and we hope you enjoy seeing some local birds land there while you are having your coffee! There is an iron and ironing board, microwave and dishwasher in addition to the usual kitchen equipment. Due to limited space there is no washing machine / dryer, but if you book to stay over a week, I can provide a laundry service, please ask. Children and infants are of course very welcome, however we have not provided any equipment or facilities for children, such as a cot or stairgate etc. Infants 'in arms' are welcome for free, children who are mobile (toddlers and over) are counted as an additional person.
Given its quiet and central location the flat appeals to guests who are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable for a city break, to visit for work or to explore our beautiful county of Herefordshire. It may appeal to hospital visitors or staff, or to those soon to be visiting our brand new Hereford engineering university! The flat offers a comfortable place to relax in and cook for yourselves. St James is a quiet, friendly neighbourhood, colloquially known locally as Hereford's 'muesli belt'! It is a short walk from the Leisure centre and various cafes and pubs. There is a welcome guide in the flat with lots of information about local places to eat and visit.

The flat has everything you need in its kitchen and was spotlessly clean. Annie has thought of all the little touches, directions, local information book, flowers etc. Perfect for a weekend break (we had Sunday lunch at The Den which was superb) or as a base for work.

A lovely light airy garage conversion completed in summer 2017. Ensuite shower room. Free parking, easy walking into city centre. River Wye walks very close and public swimming pool and gym across the road. Electrical car charger half a minute away. Kettle and toaster and small fridge in place. Use of the garden in fine weather. Host lives on site.
A garage conversion of good quality and unexpected space. Comfortable and warm.
Right opposite the house is the local Swimming Pool which incorporates a well equipped gym. Next to us in Bishops Meadow are tennis courts and putting green. Unfortunately only available in the summer. There are many gardens and houses open during the season. Recently I did a half hour walk from the house, passing over the Victoria Bridge up to the Castle Green, on into the city, and past town hall to the Old House. Then returning through the Cathedral grounds where I observed Elgar resting with his bicycle listening to the trees, and possibly services from within the Cathedral. Recrossing the River Wye over the Old Bridge taking in the views upstream and downstream . How lucky to have all that on my doorstep. There are also many cafes and restaurants to sustain you during your stay.
  • Maggie is the perfect host... warm, friendly and helpful. Maggie provided everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation is lovely and the bed was super-comfy!! Great location for exploring Hereford (a short walk) and the surrounding areas.

The Barn (our house) and Stables were originally the farm buildings for Lugwardine Court. These derelict properties were converted in 2011 to residential use. The Stables with its underfloor heating and a wood burner provide a lovely fully self contained private place to stay.
  • A return visit for us as we were so impressed with our first visit. Mark is a great host, the accomodation is spotless, comfortable, a great location and very peaceful and quiet. Highly reccomended!

  • Warm, cosy, with friendly, helpful hosts. What more can I say? Cosy Stables was immaculately clean, an extremely well equipped kitchen for self-catering, with a welcome touch of bread, milk, orange and little pots of jam. Perfect for both long or short stays. Thank you Mark and Nooda, you made us very welcome!

  • We had a great weekend, Good location and it was easy to get into Hereford and the surrounding area. Mark was there to great us when we arrived and showed us around the place. Due to the flooding we had been worried about being able to travel down but a quick email to Mark and we had alternative routes and local advice. Highly recommend a stay here.

  • This Airbnb stay was outstanding best ever

    Steve2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts, lovely warm and cosy stay. It had everything we could ever think of and need - I’d recommend 100 times over!

    Olivia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • As others have noted the Cosy Stables was spotlessly clean. Being New Years Day the essentials that were provided meant that there was no pressure to go shopping on arrival. The location is really easy for accessing the historic locations such as Hereford, Ludlow and the like, also Wales and even the Forest of Dean.

  • Really nice cosy stables, great for a quiet get away.

  • The Hay Store is a perfect hide way in stunning location. Stef was a great welcoming host, the place was lovely and cosy, with everything you need including a fully stocked DVD/Book shelf! And some wonderful welcoming touches. And the bed so comfy you will not want to get up! Great pubs around locally and very near to Ross On Wye and Hereford.

  • We stayed at Stef’s place to celebrate my partners birthday and we had such a lovely weekend- when we arrived Stef had left a cake from the local farm shop and candle so we could celebrate, such a lovely personal touch. The accommodation is beautiful with fantastic amenities and the location is excellent- such a short drive away from all the great places to explore in the Wye Valley including Symonds Yat and the Forest of Deane. Thanks so much for a great stay Stef!

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Stef’s place last weekend and it was such a lovely getaway. The barn is so cosy, perfectly decorated and spotless. There were so many extra details that make this place so great, including a super comfy bed and a wonderful lemon drizzle cake left by the hosts. Location is great too, tucked away on a farm but only a short drive to Ross on Wye and some truly beautiful walks. All in all, couldn't ask for a nicer spot to spend a relaxed weekend!

  • Lovely place to stay. Very clean and thoughtful extra touches. We felt very welcome.

  • Lovely, peaceful stay at the Hay Store. Really comfortable bed! Great location for visiting the surrounding area. Would highly recommend The Red Lion and The Lough Pool for food. Stephanie was a great host.

  • My daughter booked this accommodation for a Birthday present for a weekend. Grove View Barn is situated in a beautiful and quiet location with easy access to surrounding places of interest. The Haystore where we resided was quaint, clean and very homely. This is attached to the main barn with good parking and easy access. Our host Stefanie greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome when she popped in shortly after our arrival. The Haystore is very charismatic and cosy throughout and has all the utilities that you would require for a pleasant stay. The Haystore comprises of a bedroom, walk in shower / ablutions and kitchen, dining and living area. During our stay we visited the Red Lion Pub that is within walking distance or very short drive. The food was excellent and nicely priced, well worth a visit. In the daytime we visited and walked the Sculpture Walk in the Forest of Dean and Goodrich Castle and had a Sunday Roast in the Lion Inn, Trellech. The local Pengethley Garden Centre is also worth a visit. On our return home my wife and I were impressed by the accommodation, friendliness and beautiful surroundings. We intend to return for another weekend. (Chloe's parents)

  • Callum’s place is spacious and stylish. In the heart of town. No need to look further for a nice place to stay

    Kate2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Callum offers a lovely, clean and spacious room with a private bathroom in a perfect location in Hereford. Much of the town is within five to ten minutes’ walk. The cathedral is only 30 seconds away. The street is normally quiet, but there was some noise from revelers in the wee hours of Saturday night. To me it wasn’t a deal-breaker. I would stay in Callum’s place again and highly recommend it.

  • Great location, room and hospitality, highly recommend.

    Steve2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Callum was the perfect host, kind, thoughtful and considerate. I loved the room, the bed was comfy and I slept really well. It had been a very hot day, so having a bath before bed and a bedside fan was excellent. Lovely location near the Cathedral and I enjoyed a walk down by the river in the evening, crossed over a sweet old bridge and walked a labyrinth in the park.

A bedroom and use of shower room and kitchen in a large family home near to hospital, colleges, Hereford station and short walk to the city. The property is situated in an affluent area of the city with huge grand houses. 5 minutes from the station, hospital, national bus station and colleges. 10 minutes from the city centre. There are also many grocery shops (including Morrisons and Lidls), cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
This is a large first floor room with high ceilings in a very grand Victorian family home. The room is at the back of the house and has everything you could want including Now TV & Netflix, and kettle, tea and coffee etc. An iron and ironing board are also available. You can also use a kitchen with your own fridge, plenty of cupboard space, table, chairs and sofa, as well as any of 3 shared bathroom/shower rooms (one has a spa bath). There is even a large terrace over looking the back garden where you can sit and enjoy the view should we have reasonable weather during your stay. It is a very quiet residence. A house built in the day when properties were built with thick walls and high ceilings. Many of the original Victorian details can still be seen. It is non smoking inside but we don't mind you smoking outside. NEW - in addition to the whirlpool bath we also now have a hot tub in the garden to use in the warmer months. If you'd like to use the hot tub we require advanced notice as it takes time to heat up and there will be a small extra charge. A cleaner services the property once a week and of course, your room prior to check in.
We are on Aylestone Hill, one of the most prestigious roads in Hereford. The house dates back to 1890 and retains many of its original features.
