Dunne's Stores, is the indigenous supermarket and department store chain, and has branches in every sizeable town throughout the country. There are two local branches. In North Earl Street, opposite O’Connell Street’s Spire, the Off-Licence (liquor store) is in a separate premises, a few doors apart - look for the James Joyce statue. • Amazing value for money! Self check in was an absolute breeze and communication with Phil was swift (although we didn’t have to contact him to rectify any issues, which can only be a positive). Lovely view from the room, right over the Liffey facing Temple Bar. Plenty of amenities on the doorstep and a few nice touches in the room, a nespresso machine (with pods!) and a fridge cake in very handy. Also has all your essentials, an iron, safe etc. This place has everything you’ll need for a couple of days away in Dublin. Thanks Phil :) A little side note, there is currently some building work going on next door. And while it was pretty quiet, there was some occasional repetitive hammering etc. However, this was kept to pretty reasonable levels and I think the price reflects this for the time being? Overall, value for money is exceptional and my expectations were far exceeded.

The apartment is minutes’ walk from O'Connell Street, the main artery of Dublin's Northside and a great place to start exploring the city. Named in honour of the 19th-century Irish Independence leader, Daniel O’Connell, whose statue looks over the street, here you’ll find not only a wide range of shops (with lots of outstanding souvenirs if you need to buy presents!), bars and restaurants, but also the key to everything: a well-equipped tourism office where you can get maps, guides to Dublin and other detailed information, as well as timetables and price lists for museums and tours. O’Connell Street is a good starting point from which to feel the pulse of the city, before diving into its narrow streets or taking advantage of the bus routes which start here to take little day trips to places in the outskirts of the city. At the end of this street you’ll find yourself right by the Spire of Dublin, officially called the ‘Monument of Light’, an extraordinary conical sculpture 120 metres tall, which was unveiled in 2003. Location along restaurant and bar strip, Dorset Street, is less than 20 minutes walk to all attractions: IFSC, O'Connell St, Trinity College, Temple Bar, Croke Park!

  • Reception is not the same as big hotel companies but their email services are responsive. The room was very clean and we found a lot of little extra gifts like chocolates, olive oil, a white noise machine for sleep, and full shower soaps including conditioner and lotion. We did have an issue returning our key at check out and the box did not accept our code. We believe this was due to a receptionist handing us the key instead of us checking it out when we checked in.

A beautiful small one bedroom apartment with lovely views looking over the prestigious Dame Street Our location is ideal after a long days sightseeing THE PROPERTY IS OVER 300 years old and my apartment has been fully refurbished. This building is listed and preserved therefore we are not permitted to add an elevator. ** PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS NO LIFT IN THIS BUILDING. YOU WILL NEED TO CLIMB 60 STEPS ON THE ORIGINAL NARROW STAIRCASE OF THE MAIN HOUSE. THIS APARTMENT IS STRICTLY NON SMOKING. ** steps can be steep for elderly. But if the knees are good and your heart in ship shape, the location and view on Dame Street is worth it! This is an ideal base to relax & unwind after a long days sightseeing. Sit back and relax over coffee and watch Dublin float by from our large windows in the dining room. This apartment is located on the top floor, right in the centre of Dublin City. I love this area and I am sure that you will too. In fact it is one of the best locations to stay when visiting Dublin! Everywhere you would want to visit is just a short stroll away. This includes: Christchurch, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Temple Bar, Trinity College, St Stephens Green, Grafton Street & plenty more. The Guinness Storehouse is only a 15 minute walk away. Our apartment is beside Dublin's best restaurants, bars, theaters, traditional Irish pubs, shops, shopping centers, galleries, buses, taxis, luas, train station etc.. The airport 747 bus passes the door and so convenient for arrivals and departures to the Airport. Everything in our apartment is brand new and designed with guest comfort in mind. Our kitchen is fully equipped and has all the mod-cons including touch button Hob, Fridge, Microwave, pots, pans, utensils & bean to cup coffee machine. Our ensuite bedroom is a bijou size room equipped with a standard 4ft 6” double bed and dressed with hotel linens. It is situated at the back of the apartment away from the Main Street. In the bedroom there is a clothes rail to hang your clothes & an en-suite bathroom with separate electric shower room. This apartment is ideal for two sharing, however there is also the possibility of accommodating a third adult in the living room on our brand new sofa bed (can sleep 2 Children). We provide all the essentials you need for a relaxing trip: coffee, tea, shampoo, shower gel, towels, linens, hairdryer, iron, ironing board & washing up liquid. In short your home away from home!!
This 3rd floor apartment is all about it's location and the bright comfortable interior with a great view to the prestigious Dame Street. What I love about my neighbourhood is the first morning views from our large windows towards Dublin Castle. It is rare to have such prime City living in a superb location in Dublin. There is lots to see and do in my area among all the famous sites there are plenty of cute cafes, award winning restaurants and great pubs. Alfresco morning breakfast at the Queen of Tarts on Cows lane, where I often read the morning paper with a sweet treat and tea from a china cup. Afternoon croissant on the heated terrace of the Castle gates with a great coffee outside Chez Max restaurant. My favourite family friendly Italian restaurant Toscana is right on my street, where they grow their own vegetables and salads from their family farm-house. Morning or evening yoga in the studio across my street. A stroll in the park in the Castle grounds on a sunny day or a visit to the Chester Beatty library! I love the people, the smile and even in the rain the fun and bustle of my City. The farmers organic market just around the corner, on a Saturday hail rain or shine! I love the walks around Trinity College and a visit to its long library and book of Kells that can be viewed there. A short stroll to Christ Church Cathedral and its beautiful crypt or to sunbathe in St Patrick's Cathedral gardens when the sun visits Dublin. A stroll to Guinness Store house to view Dublin from their sky bar. I love the shopping on Grafton Street and feeding the ducks in St Stephens Green. Of course when it rains the great craic and traditional music in the wonderful bars here any time of day. But my favourite bars have to be the Stags head off Dame Street behind the Mercantile. I love Hogans bar or 200 year old The Long Hall on George's St. Our neighbourhood for sure is most convenient for getting around with all the sights on our doorstep. But best of all I love the sense of history here. I reside in the oldest quarter of Dublin, where so much Irish history has been written.
  • Lovely place in a great location. Sadia and Dee have done a wonderful job adding little touches which made the place feel a little more luxurious than your typical AirBnb apartment, so it felt a little more like staying in a catered hotel suite. It was very nice to relax for a few days.

We have 86 apartments in our complex spread between 13 blocks. Each apartment has 4 single en-suite bedrooms and a shared kitchen/living room. So, each student has their own private bedroom and bathroom and would share the kitchen/living room with up to 3 other people. The kitchen is fully furnished which would allow for the self-catered breakfasts. Internet connection is available. Our complex is very secure with one entry/exit site into the complex. Contact us for further queries.

Walk 15 minutes and you will be across the Liffy for Trinity College, Grafton St., Temple Bar and more. Frank and his brother Billy were wonderful, accommodating hosts. Amazing central location comfy 1 bedroom apartment with sofa bed, 5 mins walk from The Spire and O'Connell Street. In the heart of Dublin where all tours, buses, trams stop. Featuring full kitchen, dining, living room, TV & free fast WiFi, it's cosy style is topped by it's convenience to all attractions.
Sleeps up to 4 guests on a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room, plus all you need to cook, including kettle, microwave, toaster, hob, fridge, freezer, pots, pans and utensils plus washer dryer. Like all of our apartments, this has all a traveller needs to 'live like a local' and see the sights, without having to take public transport everywhere, or to hire a car. - The apartment is on the 4th floor and there is an elevator in the building. - Light or early sleepers should bring ear plugs due to possibility of some noise from the street/city noise. - Paper towels and napkins are not provided - this is a choice for the environment and the future. - Sorry, we would, but we do not supply face cloths - our linen company does not stock them..
The apartment is perfectly located for exploring the city; all of the city's cultural institutions are within walking distance and the transport connections are excellent NORTHSIDE CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS The North side of Parnell Square (less than 4 min walk) is home to the city's Hugh Lane Gallery of Modern Art; we share a significant collection of Impressionist painting with the Tate Gallery in London, part of the Hugh Lane Bequest, which is rotated in seven-year cycles. Next door is the Writer's Centre, and next door again, is the Writer's Museum, with a Michelin-starred restaurant in the basement, the amazing Chapter One. Down on the East side of Parnell Square is the beautiful jewel-box that is the Gate Theatre - part of the 18th-century entertainment complex established by the entrepreneurial Dr. Bartholomew, to help support his new Rotunda Maternity Hospital (the oldest purpose-built such hospital in the world, and still delivering babies on a daily basis, 270 years later (9000 is 2012). The beautiful and historic Mountjoy Square is less than 5 minutes walk away, as is the famous North Great Georges Street (one of the finest examples of a complete Georgian avenue and the set of many films). 5 mins walk to Henry Street Shopping Mall. In general, shopping hours are 9.30-6pm, with late-night shopping till 8pm on Thursdays. Sunday opening is from noon. We provide a detailed trip info pack with many pages of local tips and recommendations, including the nearest shops, restaurants, bars, public transport and much more.

Parnell Street is located on Dublin's Northside and runs from Capel Street in the west to Gardiner Street and Mountjoy Square in the east. It is at the north end of O'Connell Street, where it provides the south side of Parnell Square. Originally, Parnell Street was part of the ancient road connecting the old city to northern coast, with Father Matthew Bridge connecting Church Street and Wood Quay in the east, to Ballybough and Fairview in the west. During the 18th century, development of Amiens Street and Annesley Bridge provided a new coast road, and Parnell Street and its continuation to the east, Summerhill, became home to Georgian architecture. The western end of Parnell Street has been substantially redeveloped in recent years. The urban regeneration came after road plans by Dublin Corporation devastated the street in the 1970s, when it was scheduled to be part of the Inner Tangent Road scheme, causing massive dereliction and blight. Virtually all of the original Georgian architecture was destroyed and subsequently replaced by buildings of much larger scale. The eastern end of Parnell Street, having remained comparatively undeveloped, is now home to a thriving immigrant community. Most notably, a plethora of authentic Chinese and Korean restaurants have lent the east side the reputation of being Dublin's "Chinatown". There is also a significant presence of African and East and Central European businesses at the eastern end. History and culture Formerly Great Britain Street, the street was renamed after Charles Stewart Parnell (1846–1891), Dublin Corporation adopting a resolution to rename the street following his death. The Rotunda Hospital, the Ambassador Theatre and the Gate Theatre are on Parnell Street itself while the Garden of Remembrance, the Dublin Writers Museum and the Hugh Lane Gallery are on the north side of the Parnell Square. The James Joyce Centre is immediately off Parnell Street on North Great Georges Street, while located just off the eastern end is the historic Mountjoy Square.

Newly refurbished ground and 1st floor unit 5 mins walk to O'Connell street & close to all tourist attractions Temple Bar, Trinity college just 20 min walk. Featuring keyless, digital entry, & self-check in, the apartment has all you need to explore from; & cook, shower & sleep comfortably in. Free wifi & TV, with a cosy living space to relax in and a sofa bed. Note: one flight of steep, narrow stairs outside are required to access the apartment - please consider before booking.
Paper towels are not provided - this is a choice for the environment and the future. We do not supply face cloths, sorry - our linen company does not stock them. This space consists of a one-bed apt with own front door access. The bathroom and other areas are small - larger people, or people with a lot of luggage may find both the apartment and the access stairs unsuitable............

  • Lovely stay in a very stylish, clean, tidy, cosy apartment. Fully equipped with everything you need. Free laundry-room, hairdryer, adaptors, iron, safe, drip-coffee maker with delicious coffee, toaster,... Comfortable double bed with one blanket. Near the city center and Airport, without noise. A bit of a loop to find our basement apartman inside the building. Although, I will warmly recommend ! Thanks, Vendy

    Vendula2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really had a good time at the Apartment. It ist quite central, so you take about 15 min. into city center. A lot of basics especially in the kitchen are provided which is really nice. The only thing that bothered us a little bit, is that the apartment is almost beneath the entrance. So if other people make a lot of noice entering or leaving the building, you could hear this. But beside that, it is really recommendable.

    Lisa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was very pretty. The staff was very helpfull. But the location wasn’t the best.

    Lee Ann2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sonder for our long weekend in Dublin. Located right outside the city centre, it takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the main areas. It is located directly on the main bus route that was extremely convenient from getting to and from the airport, as well as to and from everywhere we wanted to visit. The bus does get a bit expensive if you take it often, as we did, so I would suggest getting a 2 or 3 day bus pass (it's worth it). The apartment itself was in the basement of the building, but it still managed to get us with it's charm. There were kitchen supplies for us to cook breakfast, with two food markets located on the same block as well as lots of different bars and restaurants. There was absolutely no street noise and the bed was fantastically comfortable. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

Great value ground floor studio 5 mins walk to O'Connell street & Spire, Temple Bar 20 min walk, close to all attractions, restaurants, bars, shops etc. Featuring easy digital entry self-check in, fun loft bed plus sofa bed, it has all you need to explore from and shower & sleep comfortably in. Ideal for travelers on a budget, inc. Wifi, TV, a cosy living space and kitchenette. Note: The shower has instant hot, but the enclosure is smaller than some. Big/tall people may find it a bit tight.
NOTE: Light sleepers may be disturbed by neighbours moving around upstairs and around the building. Ear plugs are recommended if you are easily disturbed. Paper towels are not provided - this is a choice for the environment and the future. We do not supply face cloths, sorry - our linen company does not stock them. This space consists of a bedsit studio on the ground floor with a double loft bed (ACCESS BY LADDER-STEPS), sofa bed and it's own front door access. Featuring a small bathroom, with the benefits of TV, wifi, an instant shower and a kitchenette including kettle, toaster, fridge, oven & stove. Great value for explorers on a budget and a most central location. To access the loft bed, guests will need to climb a set of very steep steps (almost a ladder), exactly as seen in the photos. It may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues (although the sofa bed is on ground level).........

This ideally located 1 bed apartment has been recently refurbished, and is perfectly set up for any individual or couple looking for a cosy spot from which they can see the city! Just a short walk from anything and everything you'll want to see in Dublin, you can also relax in the evenings after a long day with the spacious living area, free Wifi, Smart TV, and even an electric fireplace to really bring the feeling of comfort on those days with Irish rain. I hope you have a great time staying!
The living area is well kitted out with a big comfy couch, ideal for laying out on. The smart TV is also on a Virgin Media sports package, and should have any channels you're hoping to watch during you stay. Along with all of that is of course free Wifi, and the cosy electric fireplace is the perfect centre to the whole area to help raise the relaxing vibe. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances, and has enough for anyone's basic cooking needs. Basic non-perishable items like coffee, salt, sugar, tea, and cooking oil are also provided, so no need to worry about picking those up for your stay. There's also a washer/dryer for your laundry needs. The bedroom offers plenty of wardrobe space for your items. The sheets are fresh for each stay, and are hotel quality. Alongside that towels will also be provided. The entire place is cleaned before you arrive and after you leave. I hope you have a great time staying here!
Just North of the River Liffey and a short walk from historic O'Connell Street, this is the very heart of the city centre and the perfect location for anyone wishing to explore the city by foot. One of Dublin’s main shopping hubs is O'Connell Street (and its tributary, the ever-busy Henry Street), which culminates in a spearhead of excellent museums dotted around Parnell Square (most notably the Hugh Lane Gallery). To the west of here is the up-and-coming Smithfield and, further still, the vast Phoenix Park (also home to Dublin Zoo) while just across the bridge to the south is the formidable campus of Trinity College, with its ancient claim to fame in pride of place in the Old Library & Book of Kells. You have everything at your doorstep in the city centre and there's an exciting mix of cultures and ideas to cater for every whim you might have. Please take a look at the guidebook on my listing for recommended places to eat and drink in the area!
