THE SECRET OF THE SWALLOWTAIL

NO WHERE is more beautiful than ON BROWNINGTON POND. It is breathtaking! .. A peaceful, private and completely relaxing location and cottage. Something you might see in a movie. It is a place to get away from it all. Yet only 7 miles to shopping in Newport Vt. There is a TV & DVDs and a bookcase for reading. There are 2 kayaks and a row boat for your use for free. We don't charge for anything including the firewood for the outside pit. A quiet, slowdown cottage ! NO PETS NO EXCEPTION !

Our cottage is located on Lake Memphremagog, an international lake shared with Canada. Visit our nearby hobby farm/children’s museum. Kayak, bike or hike to stunning natural settings or take day trips to a variety of interesting destinations, including maple sugar shops, alpaca or dairy farms, golf courses, a ski resort with indoor waterpark; or cross the Canadian border a few miles away and explore Quebec. A boat dock is available for use at our cottage with an access ramp a 1/4 mile away.

We have 8 acres of beautiful wood and IMHO a beautiful spot that we're continuing to gradually improve every year. It may be small but we really love it and it's got everything we need. I built this place myself based on plans I bought online in 2001 while working full-time and doing a masters degree. One day, we'll build our dream cottage at the top of our land to take in the spectacular views. But for now, the 3 kids and the jobs are keeping us more than busy.
