  • We were attending a wedding at a nearby venue. John kindly offered to drive us to the venue. He is a lovely host with a beautiful apartment that is in a wonderful village in the middle of outstanding countryside. We would definitely recommend Johns apartment as it offers space to chill, a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom to rest weary bones . The local pub is old with original features but book before you go as it’s popular.

A rare opportunity to stay in a 15th Century converted grain store in the heart of the British countryside on the borders of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire & Warwickshire. This beautiful two storey stone-built cottage is set in the North Cotswolds in a quaint little village called Chipping Warden. This is ideal walker’s country and we welcome dogs (not upstairs please), and there are plenty of pubs within easy walking distance including a local village pub within 5 minutes walk.
Conveniently situated 6 miles form the historic town of Banbury with shopping facilities, a Tourist Office, culture, a cinema and a mainline train station. Birmingham Airport is also just a short train ride away, with a bus service to the village of Chipping Warden. This is a rustic, no frills but cosy cottage. If you wish to feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, but within access of a big town, it will be perfect for you. Being 5 miles from the M40 and almost in the centre of the country the cottage is accessible from everywhere. The Cottage itself is sympathetically decorated to cater for a variety of guests. With a fully functioning kitchen with washing machine in the open plan ground floor, and upstairs there is a shower room and two bedrooms - one bedroom with a double bed, and another with two singles. The Cottage is situated in the grounds of a larger house with its own private garden for reading or relaxing in the sun, and oozes character, you just have to look at the photographs to get an idea of the idyllic situation. The space affords the ability to sleep four comfortably and there is an extra option of a double sofa bed with permission from the owner. There is space to entertain six comfortably with three sofas and a dining table & equipment for six, being ideal for those visiting friends in the area. There are many walks in every direction without the need to get into the car, details of which the host is more than happy to share with you. The larger house is only occasionally occupied, so much of the time you will be able to admire the ample gardens which are maintained to a high standard. The orchard and patio area may be inaccessible if the owners are in residence, but there is still a pretty private garden space behind the cottage. The cottage has its own driveway, which effectively marks out the delineation between the two houses. If you wish to venture out by car within an hour in various directions there is much to explore, from spa's to historic sights, from Oxford City & Shakespeare's Stratford to Bicester Village Shopping experience, many National Trust properties and country houses as well as Warwick Castle and Broughton Castle. Please feel free to ask for any information on what's available in the area, as we'd love for your stay to be as perfect as possible.
There are so many walks for every grade of walker available from a ten minute stroll down a country lane to a full on hike down the Jurassic way. The area is steeped in history with its connections to the civil war and there are so many lovely local sights from the local church and sweeping vistas. There is also a quaint country pub within a 5-10 minute walk of the property and access to many other pubs ranging from gastro pubs to country pubs within walking distance. One of our favourites is the Red Lion in Culworth, but you would need to book this as it gets busy quickly. With the old market town of Banbury so close by, you have access to a whole range of other restaurants, shops, cinema and supermarkets.
  • Lovely place to stay, clean and comfortable

  • A gorgeous thatched cottage. Plenty large enough for 4 people. Good parking. Nice garden. Comfy beds. Nice and warm.

  • Great location for exploring Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle. The local pub was warm and friendly and the food there was good. Very quiet surroundings and lovely charm!

  • Super quaint thatched cottage in a darling English village. The nearby church is stunning, and we even experienced some of the Christmas services there. The nearby walking path was wonderful for morning walks! A great base For Cotswolds adventures!

  • What a lovely place to stay. We had the most relaxing time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. You do need a car to get about as there isn't a lot of amenities within walking distance.

    Sarah2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage in a stunning location. Listening to the bells ring in the nearby church while watching my daughters look for squirrels in the trees was special and something they'll remember forever

    Bronwyn2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It's truly a beautiful place with an amazing garden and a great walk (with dogs) right around the corner. We had some troubles with the washing machine, which I only want to mention because it was resolved so quickly thanks to Mike and his mum. It is very disconnected from the rest of the world without WiFi and we also had little reception, which was okay but made it hard to plan our days. Overall a truly wonderful place to visit.

This is a gorgeous self-contained annexe which makes a cosy home-from-home for the business traveller, or a great place for a weekend escape. We are well placed for businesses in Daventry, Banbury and Brackley, as well as all the attractions of Silverstone, Oxford, Bicester Village and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. I can provide breakfast (and other meals) by arrangement.
This is an old stone barn that we converted into a lovely little cottage. Guests have their own front door, wet-room, comfortable living room, and can then go upstairs for a good night's sleep in a king-size double bed (or twin singles) with pure cotton sheets and feather and down pillows. It has an under-counter fridge (stocked with wine, beer soft drinks and milk), microwave, portable two-ring electric hob, toaster and kettle so self-catering is easy, although there are excellent pubs and a café nearby. I wash and replace dirty plates/cutlery each day, and also offer a laundry service if required.
We are in beautiful countryside in a designated Special Landscape Area, with the Jurassic Way footpath passing close by. Eydon itself is a historic conservation village. The neighbouring village of Woodford Halse has a good selection of shops including a Co-op, butcher, chemist and post office.
  • Great place for a single person or a couple. Bigger than I expected. Very cosy, with a lovely, comfy bed. Victoria was very helpful and accommodating and left thoughtful touches like homemade cookies! Would stay again

  • A lovely space to be in for a few days, very warm and cosy. Quiet and peaceful setting to get a bit of work done and good TV to relax in the evening. The only quibble is the cooking facilities are a bit of a faff but this is described in the listing, but the host is attentive at washing the dishes which is appreciated!

Stunning, cosy cottage with space to accommodate two couples or a family, perfect for weekend getaways, overnight stops or week-long vacations. Located in the rural village of Byfield on the Northamptonshire/Oxfordshire/Warwickshire border with endless things to do and see! The Cottage at The Old Haberdashery has been recently refurbished and is located within walking distance of a shop, post office, beautiful park/cricket pavillion, pub and a good choice of scenic walks right on your doorstep.
The Cottage is perfect for weekend getaways, overnight business trips or week long holidays with lots to see and do locally.
Byfield is a friendly village with a beautiful park, cricket pavilion and quick village walks or longer romps around the local reservoir. In addition there is a superb shop selling most items you would find in a larger supermarket. The village pub is good for a drink and superb food can be found a short drive away at The Red Lion in Culworth or The Royal Oak in Eydon. The Kitchen at Farnborough is another popular place to eat, with wood fired Pizzas and an extensive gastro menu. Fawsley Hall is just a few miles away with afternoon tea and more formal dining. The grounds provide wonderful scenery for more rural walks. Further afield Sulgrave Manor, Canons Ashby House, Upton House, Charlecote Park and Farnborough Hall are all National Trust houses well worth a visit. Blenheim Palace is open to the public and holds regular events or or on a rainy day why not opt for some retail therapy at Bicester Village!

The quintessential country cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds and close to Silverstone. It is situated within the beautiful village of Sulgrave, which has its own community run shop, the welcoming Star Inn and Sulgrave Manor the ancestral home of George Washington. Enjoy your own private sunny garden, snuggle up on the large Loaf sofa in front of the open fire or explore further afield with good links to Oxford, London, Birmingham, the Cotswolds and great shopping at Bicester Retail Village.
Although The Cottage is relatively small, with a lovely warm and cosy feeling, you can find space to sit quietly and unwind or take that important business call. There is a small office space should you need to work but in addition there is a small sofa in the main bedroom with a window looking out onto the garden a perfect spot to unwind. The large Loaf sofa provides ample space for the whole family to relax. If you enjoy cycling or running the quiet roads around Sulgrave are perfect, with plenty of opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside no matter what time of the year.
  • We had such a lovely time at The Cottage. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome! The cottage is lovely and bigger than expected. Our two girls loved their bedroom! We have not been to this part before, and loved the pretty and friendly village location, the village shop is great and really well stocked with everything you need really. If you’re staying with children there’s a fab playground just along from the village pub, called pockets park. It has a zip wire! Thanks again, we’d love to return!

  • Very clean and tidy. If you’re travelling from work and need a bit of quietness. You’ve come to the right place. His Dog Shevon is friendly. I was offered cup of tea before bed and before work. Food in the fridge and cupboards if I needed. The place was immaculately clean and tidy. I was offered a bathroom for myself for the 3 nights I was there. Clean towel and toiletries if you need. Off road parking. Tesco, kfc within 4 minutes. I would definitely recommend Sunil’s place and would stop there again.

  • Spent the weekend here and loved every minute! The cottage is cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Piers was a great host, who was really friendly and gave us a good check in with useful info. We especially loved the log fire which we lit at any opportunity! There are plenty of things to do around about and Banbury town was not too far away at all. Ate at both the Rose and Crown in Ratley and the Falcon down the road, and both had great food and good atmospheres. Highly recommend this place for a nice quiet weekend away.

  • Clare's communication was brilliant, and we got detailed instructions on how to reach the house, as it is a little out of the way - especially if you don't know the area! Great location for Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. I failed to mention that we were after a twin room, but a quick text to Clare and it was no fuss at all. The rooms and bathroom were sparkling and breakfast was great and no fuss at all either. Thanks both!

Very picturesque area with lovely views from the bedrooms. We will treasure Robert's artwork and in fact are taking two pieces back to the States. Caper is a gem and overall just a great stay. ....oh and pay for the breakfast...it is tasty and varied...so worth it!

This beautiful self-contained thatched annexe is located in a quintessential English village located on the border of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. A cosy home-from-home great for business travellers or a great place to use as a bolt hole for the Cotswolds.

    Claire2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline was AMAZING. She went out of her way when I injured myself before the trip to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Her and Doug’s farm is so lovely and charming, it honestly is a little bit of a magic and an escape from the city. We hope to come back one day when I’m feeling better! We particularly loved the pigs. Thank you for being amazing hosts!

  • Tree tent is fantastically different. Last minute stay for me and my two children aged 8 and 9 was dealt with promptly and with no hassle. Kids super excited on arrival and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and interactions with the farm animals. Hosts very friendly, available if needed but also happy to let you roam free. Would highly recommend a stay, the huts also looked very inviting for next time.

  • We stayed here as a birthday surprise getaway for my wife. My sister and brother in law joined us. Firstly the communication from Barbara was outstanding. Any questions were answered almost immediately and with plenty of information. The location is fantastic if you're looking for a quiet getaway. The place itself is amazing and spacious. The bed and pillows are fantastic. Something to note is that signal is a bit of a challenge inside the property however this may be different between networks. Free WiFi is provided however. All in all a great stay we were made very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Hay Barn is fantastic, a beautiful, stylish space that still manages to feel like a home away from home. Barbara has thought of everything so you won't want for anything during your stay. The place was impeccably clean and super comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

  • Wow! What a treasure. Centrally located, beautiful area and spotless! The decor is beautiful but not overwhelming. Kitchen is truly lovely and quite nicely appointed. The beds and linens are luxurious and perfectly comfortable. The hosts are lovely but not intrusive. Highly recommend this property.

    Amy2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Hay Barn scores top marks in every category in the books! Superbly presented and offering every modern amenity you could want for a short or long-term stay. Stylish, practical, spacious and ultra comfortable living accommodations with luxurious touches where they count the most (bed and bath were outstanding). We settled in comfortably even on the hottest day in UK history- without needing a fan in the bedroom- a true sign of the kind of quality you'll find here. Delightful hosts. Easy access to groceries and nearby towns whenever needed, that is, when you're not enjoying the food at The Plough which is a stone's throw away - try their Seafood Chowder, it's among the best I've tasted! Excellent maze of public footpaths within a 5 mile radius through wheat fields, pastures, paddocks (including the Boddington Reservoir and Nature Reserve for walking, running and fishing enthusiasts).

    Arlene2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous! A lovely home away from home where little details really do make a difference. From the welcoming salted caramel cookies & emergency milk in the fridge to the high end finishes in the Hay Barn we were set for a relaxing weekend. We loved the luxurious setting and creativity in the second bedroom with the classy decorative coat hooks cleverly holding useful coat hangers. Used as a base to visit The British Motor Museum at Gaydon 20 mins/10 miles away. We can recommend both The Plough Inn across the road for a good range of tasty meals and of course Barbara & Paul as most warm hosts. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again... and again... and again...

Set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. A quaint cottage which has just been renovated for the 2016 season. There is an old fashioned court yard on one side looking out onto a typical farmyard scene and a dog proof garden on the other side. There are footpaths right on your doorstep so that you can go for the most beautiful walks deep in the countryside without needing to get into the car.
An open plan bedroom with two comfortable double beds and a 'put me up ' bed so it can sleep 5. There are partitions that can be put up between the beds for extra privacy. An ensuite bathroom Low beams so care needed is you are tall.
It is a beautiful area full of history. East walking distance to Edgcote House that was used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice. You can also walk to the site of the battle of Edgcote which took place in 1459 during the War of the Roses and where thousand of mainly Welsh soldiers lost their lives.
  • We stayed here with our 20 month old son and it couldn’t have been better, he loved meeting all the animals on the farm. The house was clean and well equipped. We will definitely be back!

  • We booked at fairly short notice for 3 nights, taking our dog, and we all had a wonderful time . Stable Cottage is a lovely place to rest, read, walk and sit in the garden and watch the sun go down and it must be dog heaven. You can go straight out of the cottage gate and take a lovely circular walk through the fields, past a river where a dog can paddle and get cool, past the village and pub where you can sit outside and back to the cottage. We only used the car once, to shop in Byfield - otherwise it was enjoying a part of the countryside we didn't know existed. Pauline and Doug were great hosts too and we found everyone we met on our walks so friendly . We will certainly be returning.

    Geoff2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage and if you’ve got kids they will love all the farm animals! The bedroom is a mezzanine level so if the kids go to bed early you just have to sit outside on the picnic table to drink your wine. :-)

Luxury glamping Tipi with wood fired bath tub on the banks of the Oxford Canal. Our Tipi is set in the middle of our 450 acre working family farm, with lots to see and do in all directions. The cosy bed has a thick duvet and hot water bottles to keep you warm, along with a wood burning stove inside the tent. Outside are wooden deckchairs and a fire pit where you can BBQ and toast marshmallows. Cooking facilities are provided in our converted shipping container, Ox Hovel, a short walk away.
Our Tipi is 6.5 metres wide and has a comfortable wooden bed with a thick duvet, hot water bottles and 300 thread count linen, so you can snuggle into a warm bed at night. At the heart of the tent is a wood burning stove, keeping you warm in all weathers. We provide firewood to get you started and can deliver more to your tent if you run out. Outside your tent are wooden deck chairs and a kadai firebowl, where you can BBQ, toast marshmallows, or use it to stay warm while you stargaze. There is an ingenious private eco loo just seconds away hidden away in the trees with a solar lit path at night. Just outside the tipi is your private wood fired bath on the banks of the Oxford Canal, it is a beautifully designed Swedish hot tub made from aluminium and oak. This is very much an experience so please be aware it can take up to an hour for the wood burner to heat the water, but it is worth the wait!
Priors Hardwick is a pretty village in open countryside on the border of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. The nearest train station is Banbury station which is 56 minutes on the train from London Marylebone.
  • Emily was a really accommodating host, only a message away with any help we needed. The tipi was lovely, really warm bedding and in such a beautiful location. Getting the wood fired bath going and sitting there watching the world go by in peace was amazing, even in October!

    Amber2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent time in the tipi. It was warm and extremely comfortable, despite the torrential rain and heavy winds, thanks to the stove within it (plenty of firewood was kindly provided). The outdoor bath was an absolute joy. Emily was an incredible host, extremely accommodating and keen to give out tips on the local area. I can't recommend it enough.

    Rory2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a beautiful birthday escape from the city at the Tipi. The location is beautiful and quiet and we had everything we needed! Would 100% recommend 😊

    Opal2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great get away with a niche twist allowing one to experience camping on a canal with some added and truly enjoyable luxuries.

    Ryan2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleased with visit, I think everyone should sleep in tipi and have outdoor bath at least once. Location was really nice and the passing narrow boats and wildlife were an added bonus. Would recommend a stay.

    Kim2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a fabulous and relaxing bank holiday weekend at Tipi Slinket. The tipi is large and contains a full sized double bed with high quality sheets and a wood burner. Outside, you'll find a huge wood-fired bathtub and a fire bowl for barbecues. Fire lighters and wood are provided, but you'll need to bring some charcoal. The bath is connected to the water mains, so there's clean drinking water available. The bath takes at least an hour to warm up, so keep that in mind. A small shed nearby amidst the trees houses an eco toilet. A short walk away is a shipping container, inside which you'll find a shared kitchen area. Alongside, there's an outdoor heated shower. The water was always hot. Emily was helpful and very communicative throughout. In all, we recommend a stay here. It's was a unique and comfortable experience.

    Matt2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience especially in good weather! The facilities are great and the hosts have thought of everything. They went above and beyond to make it a great weekend. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a weekend away in the country with a difference.

    Rebecca2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the tipi was an absolute dream - quiet surroundings, private except for the narrowboats going past! The swedish bath was great, although we mostly used it with cold water to cool our feet during the heatwave! The lamb burgers were so tasty and Emily was fab at organising them last minute for us whilst she was on holiday herself! Great stay, thanks!

Escape to the country and relax - and only 1h30 from London! Wonderful walks over hills straight from the doorstep. Large two storey, light and bright open plan former granary barn with living space on the first floor overlooking our garden. Entirely self-contained unit in a very quiet location on the edge of the village. The granary barn forms one side of a courtyard and we live in the farmhouse on another side with our small dog and cat. No-one else lives on site so it's very quiet.
The two storey Granary is cosy, well equipped, and very spacious. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom/shower room have underfloor heating and there is a second loo with a washing machine. The open plan kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, oven & hob. We provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, olive oil, salt and pepper. The sitting room area has a comfy sofa, TV and large windows overlooking our garden. There is also a dining table for 4 guests. Close to several local Wedding Venues: Crockwell Farm, Sulgrave Manor and Fawsley Hall and near Silverstone and Bicester Village. The Granary also makes an ideal base for visiting Oxford, Stratford, Warwick, Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds.
Within easy access of Oxford, Stratford, Bicester Village, Silverstone, Warwick and the Cotswolds, Wardington is a lovely sleepy little village of almost entirely stone houses and cottages. There is a pub 10 minutes walk away (across fields or through the village) and also an antiques centre and garden centre with a café open 7 days a week, within a 5 minute walk. The village has a Church, and a playground behind the village hall.
  • We had a great time here. The place was exactly as advertised, very clean cosy. The hare and hounds pub down the road was very nice too!

  • Cannot fault my stay here! Fantastic hosts who were very helpful and accommodating during initial communication, arrival and during our stay. Would definitely recommend, and will hope to stay here again when visiting this area! The converted barn was an incredible space with an abundance of lovely decorative touches. My girlfriend and I were very comfortable during our stay!

The Annex is located in a quiet, small residential Court in a village location. There is a local pub/restaurant a short stroll away, otherwise local amenities can be found in Banbury, a couple of miles away, including supermarkets, restaurants, cinema and main line train station (London, Marylebone 50 mins, Birmingham New Street/Snow Hill 40 mins, etc.)
A newly built 1 bed extension, comprising a large vaulted ceiling kitchen/lounge/diner, with tri-fold patio door overlooking garden area & fields beyond, a single double bedroom & shower-room, would suit someone working away from home. Access is via a private locked gate
  • Great hosts, very informative. Lovely sparkling clean and comfortable accommodation in a wonderful village setting. Very relaxing and a great base for all our needs. Ate out at recommended local restaurants that both received a five star review. Will definitely return if in the area. Many thanks to Bev & Julian

The cottage was spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully decorated. The local village is very pretty and we would have loved to have had a longer stay so that we could have explored the local area. We would highly recommend the cottage and hope to visit again.

  • Had a great couple of days away in Stable Cottage. It’s cosy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Linda is a great host, welcoming and thoughtful. She provided all the basics and some lovely extras, plus lots of information about the local area. The cottage is remote with no phone service at all (Bliss!) but good WiFi. With family in nearby Towcester we will not hesitate to return to Stable Cottage.

  • This cottage is very comfy and immaculate. It is near the main house but you are given your privacy. There was even jam cake on the table to greet us. It was a peaceful place to come back to each night after visiting a very ill relative.

  • A lovely cosy and warm place to stay. The welcome pack was a great help and meant we didn’t need to bring milk, tea, coffee or bread with us. The cottage looks out onto a lovely garden and we saw a good variety of birds feeding on feeders under a large tree in the centre. A very peaceful setting but lots to do around the area. Will definitely go back again.

  • Lynne’s has lace is perfect. My friend and I were looking for a nice clean and comfy bed to sleep over the weekend and we found much more than this. The farm is in a quiet area so perfect for some good rest. If you wake up early like we did you’ll get an outstanding view from the bathroom window. As a photography enthusiast myself I could have stayed hours taking shots from the spot. You also get self service breakfast, toast, tea, coffee, jam, fruits,... Lynne is a great host and communication is clear and fast. Would recommend without a doubt.

It’s situated in a picturesque village. There are walks straight from the house and it’s only 35-40 minutes to Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth Castle and Silverstone. The Plough Inn in the next village is both charming and a good place to eat!

Are you tired of the same old thing? This shepherds hut HASN'T got all the mod cons but what it HAS got is something that cannot be quantified. No light pollution or neighbours, just peace, beauty, the sound of birdsong and closeness to nature
Divinely comfortable double bed with stunning views. Fridge, Grill, Kettle and woodburner. Hot private shower and loo. Visiting pigs and other wildlife. Footpath on doorstep. Outside area and barbeque.
    Stunning countryside and beautiful walks
  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in Pauline’s hut. It’s well equipped (with electricity!) and we were allowed all the privacy we required. It’s walkable to the village with a couple of pubs and easy to find.

  • Such a beautiful spot. We stayed in the Orchard and it's so peaceful with lovely views out on to fields and horses and nothing else - perfect, and really relaxing. Some things we loved: Hot shower, privacy of the spot and dappled light through the apple trees, electricity in hut. A perfect stay in the outdoors with all the comforts of a hotel.

    Mason2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time here. So tranquil and the hut had everything we needed. Beautiful location and a comfy bed. Thank you.

  • Such a lovely spot to spend the weekend, it was the hottest of the year but the Orchard Shepherd's hut is tucked away under the trees so not too roasting! Fabulous views down to the river and FOALS to watch all day. We bbq'd our breakfast, visited the local pub for a dinner and walked some footpaths directly from the front door. Our spaniel loved it, thank you.

  • When I describe this as a "rural retreat" I mean it's rural and a retreat. If you need an antidote to modern life, this is it.

    Stuart2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely friendly welcome and communication before we arrived was clear and timely. The Shepherd's hut is beautifully positioned and really well equipped. Bring some flip flops or crocs to walk across the orchard to the outside bathroom. This was glamping at its best

    Jessica2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such an idyllic way to spend a sunny Bank Holiday and escape the city. So unreal it was dreamlike. We were ridiculously happy in our cosy hut and relaxing by the river. I took a plunge into the River Cherwell and three occasions (intentionally!) and spent the evening BBQ-ing and soaking up the beautiful rural atmosphere. Surrounded by green fields and horses as far as you can see with just the sound of birdsong. Pauline and her husband are wonderful hosts. Very interesting people and extremely welcoming. Their farm and its livestock we fun to interact with (and photograph) but they leave you to as they know you're there to be alone. I sleep for an average of 5 hours a night in London; here, I was asleep for ten. It is certainly the best place to unwind and de-stress :)

Stay in our very special, unique 1800's Shepherds Hut, full of character and perfect for overnight stays/ glamping holidays. It has a double bed, a thick feather duvet and pillows, lighting, heating and an electric blanket to keep you toasty and warm! Outside there is a small private orchard area with a table and chairs for alfresco dining, and a BBQ and fire pit. A private shower and WC is available inside the farmhouse. Breakfast can be provided each morning at additional cost. No pets .
The Shepherds Hut is situated in a private orchard at the bottom of our farmhouse garden, in the pretty rural Warwickshire village of Priors Hardwick. It has fabulous westerly views and chickens, horses, birds, and sheep as neighbours. We are a working sheep and arable farm, and there is lots to see and do in the local area! Bookings taken from the 1st May - 30th September.
Priors Hardwick is a pretty village in open countryside on the border of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. There is a popular restaurant in the village called The Butchers Arms which is within walking distance, as well as a good selection of pubs nearby for supper. The nearest train station is Banbury station which is 56 minutes on the train from London Marylebone.
  • Absolutely amazing two night stay in the Shepherds hut! Angela, Simon and Emily were all great hosts providing useful information on the area and where to walk. The breakfast was delicious, the view and sunset were unforgettable and we had the luxury of the dedicated shepherds hut toilet and shower in their farmhouse which is only a 30 second walk from the hut. It doesn’t feel like you’re next to the farmhouse once you’ve meandered through the cottage garden and through the arch into wilderness. Really great place, highly recommend and will be back
