Places to stay in Chipping Sodbury
Welcome to "Bristol Little House". Our private self contained space benefits from it's own private entrance and free street parking so you can come and go as you please. This charming space was newly built in July 2017. Make full use of our kitchen, spacious open living space and en-suite. Take advantage of Sky and Netflix on the flat screen TV and fast Wi-Fi. We are on the otherside of the garden - far enough for you to have your own space but close enough if you want a friendly chat.
This modern, converted space is equipped with: Tea, coffee and sugar. An oven/microwave and double hob, Essential such as bin bags, washing up equipment, shampoo, conditioner and towels. King size sofa bed, Complimentary Netflix and Sky (with Sky Movies) and has a private entrance.
This neighbourhood is very beautiful. Just a short 10 minute walk to the local anemities, such as Porto Lounge; a cosy, friendly cafe/restaurant overlooking Victoria Park. An incredible authentic Italian, La Piazza 1, is a delightful place to eat. There are great walks around this area and many parks such as Oldbury Court Estate, and my favourite Snuff Mills. Perfect for afternoon strolls.
  • Comfortable, clean and very well equipped! Highly recommended if you want a self contained place to yourself in Bristol. Communication was very quick and Maria accommodated my requests happily!

  • Absolutely wonderful place to stay, could not recommend the place enough, and would love to stay there again in the future if I do head to Bristol. Thank you so much Maria!

  • Maria’s place is beautifully put together, with everything thought of, and more. Clean, warm, well equipped, and responsive hosting. Lovely

  • Very comfy bed! Lovely hosts and extremely clean. The walk to the studio is really dark and further than expected but accommodation lovely x

    Caroline2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant ! Would stay again without hesitation. The bed is really comfy too.

    Laura2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was such a great host and responded very quickly when I had a few things I needed help with. I was anxious about staying somewhere on my own for the first time however Maria made me feel at ease and I had a wonderful stay. As a student Paramedic on shift this was a perfect place for me to stay when starting and finishing at all hours, meaning I didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

    Elin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place with everything you need! Quick responses from Maria and in an ideal location. Would highly recommend for a visit to Bristol :)

    Megan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend. Great location, was so easy to get into the city centre in about 15 mins. Lots of free parking available. The place itself is gorgeous and cosy. Super clean, very warm (thanks to the dyson fan) and the smart TV with sky/netflix is a really nice touch. A fully kitted out kitchen (including some very yummy bread and wine) meant we didn’t have to bring anything ourselves which was very useful. Maria wasn’t there herself but she was extremely quick with responses. I unfortunately broke a wine glass by accident and she was so so lovely about it. Will definitely be back!

*** In light of the current situation, we have come to the decision to cancel all short term bookings within the next 12 weeks (until the end of June 2020). We have carefully considered the information and advice that we have been provided with by the government and feel that this is in the best interest of our guests, family and wider community. We are a business that welcomes people from across the country and we feel that we have a responsibility to minimise this for the time being. As a small business, this isn’t a decision that we have made lightly and we are continuing to think of ways that we can keep the business up and running, whilst also minimising any risks to our guests and family at Collins Farm. Going forward, in order to reduce footfall, we will only be accepting bookings that exceed a 14 day period and will be introducing a minimum 72 hour gap between bookings in order to carry out a thorough deep clean of the entire property. Guests will be able to check in to The Dovecote without any contact with ourselves, although we are always at the end of the phone should you need us. We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes*** Look out onto open fields from the main bedroom, while French doors lead to a private patio. This detached converted dovecote features vaulted ceilings and original walls of pale local stone, with an electric wood burner and Smart TV for cosy evenings in.
The beautiful city of Bath with its 18th century Georgian architecture, original Roman baths and impressive abbey is just 8 miles away. A nearby park and ride service into the town centre operates every 15 minutes. The vibrant city of Bristol, famous for its maritime history and wealth of designer shops, bars and restaurants is also close by - approximately 11 miles from Abson. Other points of interest within an hour’s drive include Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Local shops, pubs and dining can be found in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch - each less than 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles. 4 steps to entrance. Ground Floor: Open plan living space: With French doors leading to patio. Living area: With electric wood burner and Smart TV. Dining area. Kitchen area: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With double bed, vaulted ceiling, beams and en-suite with bath and toilet. Paddle stairs to... Bedroom 2: Galleried with single bed and sloping ceiling. This is on a mezzanine level and looks down on to the double bed. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed patio with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.
Located in the quiet hamlet of Abson, The Dovecote is less than 8 miles away from Bath. A regular park-and-ride service into Bath is just 10 minutes away. Bristol is only a little further, with local shops, pubs, and restaurants in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch.
  • Really lovely place. Will stay again!

    Tracy2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Dovecote was delightful, we had a relaxed and comfortable stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and it was a convenient location for both Bristol and Bath. Many thanks.

  • What a great stay! Sophia and Charlie couldn’t have been better hosts. The place was spotless and the decor was beautiful in such a lovely location. I’d 100% return if I visit the area again in future!

  • The Dovecote is a fantastic place for any stay, had everything that we needed. It is close to Bath to enjoy the history and attractions but also secluded and peaceful enough to relax in the evening. Sophia was extremely helpful and could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend stay at the Dovecote if you are visiting Bath or just looking for a relaxing peaceful weekend.

We live at the end of a long drive in the tiny hamlet of Nind. There is a Spar shop a 3 minute drive away in Kingswood and there are numerous pubs in the local vicinity which provide a wide range of eating experiences!
  • Amazing place. Lots of wildlife, very cosy settings with a spacious room. A great host who couldn't do more for you. Nature reserve just next door.

    Clare2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exquisite, secluded + tastefully presented, this Airbnb does not disappoint! From start to finish the experience was First Class. Anna and Ben have a beautiful home and they are indeed themselves beautiful people, with good knowledge and advice of the local area, from places to eat and drink to walks and things to do. 100%, 5 stars for this gem! Thanks

    Claire2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • Peaceful and beautiful surroundings for the perfect get away from it all kind if a holiday while keeping options available at an appropriate distance! Lovely!

    Chandan2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely house and family. The room and the views are amazing, very cosy and homey, overlooking a beautiful little lake. We couldn't have asked for anything better for a long weekend away. The location was great, not far from lots of nice local pubs and lots of walks to explore. It was also great to be able to bring our dog along and he was made to feel very welcome too. Anna and her family made it great though, we felt really looked after and there were lots of thoughtful touches throughout including a surprise birthday cake for my girlfriend. Overall we had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

    James2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mole Hill House was just incredible, I can't recommend it enough. There were lots of small touches Anna had put in place that made us feel really welcome - she has left so many tips and resources to find things to do in the area, and she was just lovely and friendly every time we encountered her. The room itself seemed bigger to me than the photos suggested, and I have not slept so well in ages due to the quiet and lovely black out blinds in the whole place. The bathroom is pristine, and the surrounding area is lovely. Her dog Margot is the sweetest girl too. Thanks so much Anna, we had a splendid time!

    Tanya2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! So quiet and lovely. The countryside is pretty and so is the property. The little lake will bring a lot of peace to your mornings, which you can enjoy with coffee and cakes. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Captivating converted barn with two king-size rooms, one en-suite, the other with separate bathroom. Also fully-equipped modern kitchen/ diner and cosy sitting room. Both bedrooms & sitting room have TVs. Underfloor heating. Independent access on ground floor. Private, secure parking. Quiet with rural views, positioned equally between Bristol, Bath & the Cotswolds in the Gloucestershire countryside. A car is essential. We generally welcome pets but ask that you check with us first.
Two king size rooms with one en suite and one separate but private bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen. Cosy sitting room with Smart TV. Independent access to all rooms on ground floor. Private parking. Country views. Handy for Bristol, Bath & Cotswolds. Ideal base for Cheltenham Races, Cardiff sporting internationals and Badminton Horse Trials. Or simply as a base while you travel around the region or attend weddings/celebrations at nearby venues such as Tortworth Court and Berkley Castle. Very tranquil, in the midst of rolling countryside, but not far from main artery roads. All rooms are on ground floor level with direct access into them. Entire 2 bed, 2 bath fully self-contained area is set aside for Airbnb guests during their stay and not accessed by anyone else. We are roughly equally positioned between Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds in the middle of the countryside, but close to three market towns, Chipping Sodbury, Thornbury and Wotton Under Edge. There are lots of walks, country pubs and supermarkets only a few minutes away. You will need a car, we can also give good recommendations for taxis if you'd prefer to leave the car at home. We have two small dogs, there are also horses in the field, just in case anyone has allergies. We are generally happy to welcome your pets but please check with us first.
We are semi-rural, in that it's very peaceful, but getting to the nearest pub, supermarket, restaurant or any other amenity will take no more than five-to-fifteen minutes. You won't be completely isolated as we are nearby in the big barn, and our closest neighbours are next door in the farmhouse. However, if you wish to be completely private there is no problem in achieving it.
  • We had only a short stay at the annex (one night with very early Sunday morning check out thanks to our toddler son!) but it was just what we needed. Exactly as per the listing; great location, easy check in, accommodating of little ones (providing a cot etc), lots of space for families (or friends or anyone needing some extra room to chill really!) Communication with James was really quick and easy. The views were amazing too. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb if you’re looking for peaceful accommodation close to Bristol, Bath or the Cotswolds villages.

    Kelly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation in a quiet village

    Gareth2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • James is a great host, his communication was second to none and the accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and we found a lovely pub nearby, The Swan at Tytherington, to have dinner. It proved the ideal place for a couple of days break with our young son during half term.

    Danielle2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location, everything you need is provided within the accommodation. Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. James was a fabulous host with first class communication skills and nothing was too much trouble. My friends and my partner were all excited with the main photo thinking this was where we’re going to be staying but I’d read all the information and realised it was a cow shed conversion opposite the main house. Each room had patio doors leading outside which afforded good lighting and ventilation to each room. We were sad to only be staying one night but have added it to our list of first class properties to return to. Thank you James and Susan for sharing your lovely property with us.

    Christina2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A superb host, had everything we needed and mor, super cosy, will be back soon.

  • Fantastic, would highly recommend!

    Ruth2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The annex is an absolute gem! It's in a great location for exploring the Bath and Bristol area. Underfloor heating, lots of little extras in the kitchen you often don't find at airbnbs, and lovely welcoming hosts. Our toddlers had a great time running up and down the hallway, and we enjoyed a good night's sleep thanks to the available cot and black out blinds. Thank you James!

    Claire2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing detached 2 bedroom 2 bathroom property in gated property. Stunning. 5 star in every aspect. Great communication from James and so thoughtful with milk bread jam and a bottle of bubbles for us for New Years Eve stay. Excellent shower and powerful. Bed really comfortable. • Idyllic, peaceful retreat. We loved our time here the cabin was a sanctuary tucked away in the peaceful countryside. We stayed as a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Close access to Bath (around 30 minute drive) but we easily could have stayed at the cabin quite happily as it had everything we needed! We can’t wait to visit again in the near future! Only one advisory, the shower wasn’t warm during our stay, the host is very quick to respond and did attempt to fix it but unfortunately it wasn’t successful, apart from that issue the rest of our stay was wonderful.

    Abigail2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! So clean and the underfloor heating is amazing. It was the middle of January and we were so toasty. The hot tub is such a nice bonus and the view of the lake. Lynn was always on hand to help us with anything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here!

  • Lynn is a superb host, amenities were first class, I had my private space which was great and couple this with the hospitality and lovely conversation made for a great stay . Lemon drizzle was special 😃 Highly recommended

  • Had a lovely stay. Lynn's home was so clean and comfortable. My first Airbnb stay so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Lynn soon put me at my ease. The weather was cold in February, but the apartment was always warm. Definitely happy with my stay.

    Anthony2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was ideal for my short stay in Yate.

  • Lynn is a wonderful host! The place is really clean, you get soaps, shampoo and even toothpaste provided. She was really helpful and called to navigate to find her house. Breakfast was provided and there was a lot of options. Would stay here again if I were to come again!

    Gawsalya2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were using Lynn's place to be able to visit family in the local area, and it was perfect for this. Clean and tidy. Very quiet. Lynn and Portia (the dog) are welcoming. Parking is on street.

    Bethany2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at Lynn's flat thanks to her warm welcome and the comfort of her flat. We almost felt at home!

    Chawkat2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn is a lovely Lady who is warm and welcoming and really goes out of her way to ensure that her guests have a very pleasant stay. She sent me details of how to get to her apartment from Bristol airport which saved me a lot stress and worry. Her ground floor home is only minutes walk from Yate bus station which makes it so handy for public transport. The airport flyer stops right outside the airport door and takes you straight to Bristol bus station where another bus will then take you straight to Yate bus station. I had great weekend and will be staying with her again the next time I travel to the Bristol area.

A cottage style end of terrace property, a little out of the city but with good bus routes - travel time 30-45 minutes to city centre - the area is semi-rural NB: Current restrictions mean I can welcome guests only to provide accommodation for any person who: is unable to return to their main residence; uses my home as their main residence; needs accommodation whilst moving home or attending a funeral - anyone making an enquiry will need to confirm they meet one of the above criteria
The property benefits from being only 6 miles to the city centre whilst also being in a semi-rural location There is a second room that can also be rented (as a separate booking) enabling a group of up to 5 people to stay
Hambrook is a small series of hamlets just outside the city The area benefits from being only 6 miles from the city centre but at the same time giving you a feel of the countryside There are a number of supermarkets around 5-10 mins away by car If you are walking the closest shop is 10-15 mins almost opposite Beckspool Road bus stop (road is signposted golf club)

We are situated at the end of a driveway on the very edge of a park and beside the churchyard - but don’t worry it’s dead quiet most of the time!  Within less than five minutes walk you will find a good range of places to eat and drink including pubs, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. As well as plenty of shops and banks there is a leisure centre with swimming pools and a multi-screen cinema. The local train station gets you into Bristol Temple Meads in about 20 minutes if you’d like a harbourside walk or stay local and less than two miles away is the picturesque south Cotswold medieval market town of Chipping Sodbury.  We are equally well positioned for both Bristol and Bath.
Bright bedroom with floorboards. Two single beds. Fitted wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and a chest of drawers. Two double sockets - one with USB charging points. Bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Sorry we don't share our kitchen but places to eat within five minutes walk from our house include: The Lawns, The White Lion, Bolero Lounge, Morrisons Cafe, McDonald's, Costa, Boswells, Starbucks, Wetherspoons not to mention several takeaways. We do provide tea and coffee in the room and there is a small refrigerator on the landing for guests.
It is like a village atmosphere around the green outside of our front door and yet you can be in a busy town centre within 5 minutes walk.

  • Sara and Pete were very welcoming and showed me around their lovely bungalow. The room was comfy, clean and warm and had a very comfortable bed.I slept like a log as the surrounding area was very quiet. The bathroom was very clean and had everything you would expect for a visit. I didn't get to know either Pete or Sara very well as we were like ships in the night, but hope to chat more on my next stay. Thank you for a restful couple of day and I will be staying again. regards Vanessa

  • The house is located in a residential complex not very close to the center, from temple meads it is about 15 minutes by car, convenient for those who work and seek relaxation. Very private, the house is equipped with every comfort as well as being super clean and without hateful carpeting. The bathroom is large and has both a shower and a bathtub. At guests' disposal there are also an electric kettle and all the essentials for an excellent breakfast. They are quite strict on the check-in time which unfortunately I had not seen and we only had a small problem for this but otherwise are two super recommended hosts.

My place is perfect for families or groups looking for a house - either when working away, in transit between properties as a short term let - or if you're exploring the Cotwolds/Bath/Bristol - as its close to M4 & M5. It has an airy conservatory/diner/kitchen overlooking the back garden, with underfloor heating for the chilly months and sun drenched in the summer. 2 parking spaces on my drive and located in a small estate of detached homes - and you can walk to the local cinema, shops & pubs.
Its my home, but I also have an apartment on the south coast that I spend a fair amount of time in, and my partner lives about 45 mins away, so will stay away to allow your group exclusive use of the house. For groups larger than 4 or 5, I can put up a sofa bed/zed bed in the living room which is a small double. There is ample living space in the kitchen/diner/conservatory to allow the living room to be used as a bedroom as there is also a downstairs WC. The larder is well stocked, and plenty of crockery/cutlery/glassware as this is a home, not a holiday rental with limited resources of 6 cups/glasses etc. There is always tea/coffee/sugar in stock, plus essentials like bin bags. laundry tabs, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, tea towels, cooking oils, table sauces etc. Also a welcome pack with some perishables like milk and bread to ensure you don't arrive to an empty kitchen! So if you're having a new kitchen or bathroom fitted and need to move out for a week - you can just pack your case and move right in as everything is included to make this your temporary home! Or if visiting family in the local area/working in South Gloucestershire - its a perfect place to stay.
Yate and Chipping Sodbury are midway between Bath and Bristol and on the edge of the Cotswolds. Yate is a modern town with many facilities such as a sports / shopping centre and cinema - and all within walking distance of the house. Chipping Sodbury is an old market town on the doorstep, with many quaint shops and pubs.
  • Helene was a great host, providing everything we needed, letting us visit before we stayed for 2 weeks! She was flexible about everything, and when we encountered a small issue, it was resolved quickly.

  • We had a great stay at Helene's place. The house was as expected, very clean, warm and perfect for out stay. The house was really comfortable and we really liked the conservatory and well-kept garden. Excellent place to stay and comes highly recommended. Helene was a great host, she gave us all the information we needed and didn't intrude on our stay, but was there to help if needed.

  • This was a fantastic location for a family holiday, its central for Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds. There is a lovely park less than 5 minutes walk from the house, with adventure playground for all ages as well as walks. The cinema, shops, swimming pool and restaurants all very close as well. The house was sparkling clean with many additional touches, the welcome pack was very thoughtful. Our children loved playing in the garden, the living space has a great layout for families. Thanks Helene for a great holiday!

The Little Barn is a beautifully, sympathetically and stylishly renovated two bedroom cottage within the grounds of a former farm that was once owned by the local Monastery. The cottage itself is spacious and fully equipped with everything guests should need for a truly comfortable and restful stay. In this era of sustainable living, The Little Barn benefits from solar panel energy, a Tesla battery for energy storage and use, recycling facilities and energy efficient appliances and lighting.
The cottage is warm, cosy and inviting boasting a fully furnished kitchen complete with all mod cons including a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Basic condiments (salt, pepper, oil), tea, coffee, sugar, a cafetiere, washing up liquid, tea towels, tin foil, cling film, sponges, dishwasher tablets, laundry materials and bin bags come as standard as does a lovely welcome pack comprising local produce and fridge essentials. Beyond the kitchen and the other side of a lovingly restored archway, is the lounge where guests will find a Smart TV (including Netflix, Prime Video & Freeview Play), an Amazon Echo Dot, a comfortable corner settee that doubles as a bed, an extendable dining table and French doors that open onto a quiet outdoor space. For younger guests, there are books, toys and games. For older guests, there is a chess set and playing cards. Upstairs, there is a tastefully refurbished bathroom, a gorgeous master bedroom with king sized bed and plenty of storage, plus an attractive twin room. Both bedrooms have space for a travel cot if required (available upon request) and both overlook the surrounding fields that stretch to the Cotswolds and beyond. Towels and bed linen are provided including bedding for the downstairs sofa bed and travel cot as appropriate. Wifi is available throughout the property free of charge. Heating and hot water are included in the fee.
The Little Barn is situated at the end of a quiet farm lane and is a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. There is no through access hence it is utterly tranquil and a haven for those seeking beautiful countryside and an escape from the normal stresses of daily life. The surrounding fields are a paradise for walkers and the local village of Kingswood is just a short drive away. It can also be reached on foot if the mood takes you. Within Kingswood, there is a handy and friendly Spar which doubles as a Post Office / cash point. Guests will also find a delightful Public House that serves good tasty food, a gym with 'pay as you go' classes, a park and play area, the local church and the remains of the Abbey. There is ample parking at the park with further parking in and around the village. The friendly market town of Wotton-under-Edge is a further mile away by car and here guests will discover several eateries, a butcher, a couple of bakeries, several barbers and hairdressers, two grocery stores, two medical centres, two dentists and an array of local craft, produce, antique and gift shops. There is also a traditional cinema, a Tourist Information Office, free parking, an art centre and an open air pool (open during the warmer months). The pool has recently been extensively refurbished and is a real oasis on hot summer days. The beautiful town of Chipping Sodbury is just a short distance away and the cities of Bristol (30 mins), Bath (35 mins) and Gloucester (40 mins) are all within easy reach. All three cities abound with history, activities, shopping and wonderful sightseeing walks and tours. A particularly lovely way of taking in Bristol is via 'cycle the city', guided or self guided. Just ask Annie and Simon for details if interested. Again only a short drive away and guests will reach the stunning Cotswolds where places like Tetbury, Westonbirt, Uley, Cirencester and Malmesbury are well worth a visit. These beautiful artsy towns and the surrounding villages teem with history and are stuffed to the brim with cafes, antique palaces and boutiques. The Little Barn is a handy gateway to this beautiful part of England. With the 102 mile Cotswold Way on the cottage's doorstep, guests can sample breathtaking views, dramatic gorges, rolling hills, forests and every kind of landscape a person could wish for, not forgetting the abundance of numerous castles, historic houses, country parks, museums and art galleries. The delights of the area are arguably some of the best in the UK and Annie and Simon can offer more details upon request.
  • Annie and Simon’s place is perfect for a couple or family who want to get away from it all, but be within easy reach of plenty of amenities, activities and beautiful countryside. With the lockbox, checking in was easy and Annie was so thoughtful in leaving some tasty welcome gifts. We were also greeted by a very friendly cat! Annie was very flexible with our check in and out times, which we really appreciated, and her communication was excellent - although we never saw her, she kept in touch before and throughout our stay and we felt she was always on hand to help if we needed it or had any questions. The cottage has everything you need, however long you are staying. It’s a really homely place, which has been beautifully renovated and furnished. The lounge area is very cosy, with a nice view of the garden and fields, and it was great to have Netflix and Amazon music for entertainment. We cooked a couple of meals whilst we were there and found that the kitchen is well equipped for cooking from scratch. We only stayed 2 nights, but would love to return some time for another stay to explore more of the area.

  • A beautifully decorated, carefully cared for property, tucked away in the countryside but close enough to the main roads that travel is easy. Annie made sure we wanted for nothing. Our stay was so comfortable and enjoyable - we would definitely stay here again.

  • Gorgeous, freshly presented and comfortable property. We had a great night’s sleep and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved that the owners were clearly available if we had had any needs while we were there, but gave us all the privacy desired. Described as a gem & matches description. Welcome pack was a delightful addition. Already recommended to family for if they are staying in the area and will happily return. Many thanks!

  • Thanks very much for a fantastic stay. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well resourced. Annie and Simon set up the house for us to just start our holiday with ease. Perfect location for exploring. We visited Tetbury, Chipping Sodbury and Bath during our stay. We would love to return in the summer to fully appreciate the unique outdoor space on offer.

  • This was our second time staying at Woodcock Farm. It's great! Brilliant location just off the M4 to visit Bristol, Bath and other local towns. We have a young family and there was plenty to do on rainy days. Plus, we had a fun walk to the nearby fort and then onto the Crosshands pub!

  • Caroline and Jason’s farm is absolutely stunning! We spent 3 nights here, exploring Bath and the Cotswolds. We ordered a lovely breakfast hamper from Caroline filled with local foods! Close to Bristol Parkway, M4, M32, UWE and 5 miles from Bristol city center. A very quiet base for workers visiting during the week. The annex has its own private entrance and is separate from our main home. Facilities include a private en-suite shower room, king size bed, WIFI, TV, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, and off street parking for one medium sized car on our gated driveway. The annex is self check in, and would suit guests that are confident using the internet on their phone.
The studio doesn't come with a separate kitchen (see floor plan), but makes up for it by being totally private and separate from our main home. We are extremely popular with workers looking for a comfy and private stay during the week. We are less popular with guest who are looking for night life, and guests who are not confident using the internet on their phone tend to struggle with the self check in process. The location is peaceful and quiet with the closest pub being about 800 meters away (8 min walk) and the closest shop/supermarket about 1 mile away. We recommend you bring your own transport, however there a lots of buses into the city center. Very long cars may struggle to park on our driveway, However there are lots of parking options on Beckspool Rd or Riverwood Rd. Message me to discuss.
We are in the Frenchay conservation area which includes many historic Georgian buildings and the beautiful Frenchay common is a only a few steps away from our home. If you walk through the common for about 8 mins you will find the White Lion pub which has excellent food and drinks. From there you can walk along the Frome valley river which goes the 5 miles into Bristol.
  • Lively peaceful spot. I will return for sure 😊 Thankyou Rob👍

  • Lovely cabin lovely hosts. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the cabin. Lovely touches like the continental breakfast and toiletries. Really enjoyed my stay in this cosy cabin...

  • It's always a risk staying somewhere that is new to Airbnb but there was no need to worry. My host went out of her way to make sure I was settled in and had everything I needed. This is a cute garden cabin that has been contemporary-styled with all the amenities you'd need and more. The location is first class - if you are looking to access all the main routes in and around Bristol this fits the bill perfectly. The cabin suits short stays and despite it not having a kitchen there are amenities in there such as a kettle and toaster, mini fridge etc. Having cereal and fresh milk was a lovely touch and most welcome. The host has added lots of extra amenities to make your stay as comfy as possible and I have to say I slept really really well. I would have no hesitation in returning. Make sure you read the listing - this is a stylish garden cabin, perfect for short stays - what more could you want! Thank you.

  • The cottage is a beautifully renovated, peaceful place to explore the local area. I was there with 2 young children who were very comfortable on the sofa bed and we enjoyed exploring the area around Bath and Castle Combe. Definitely recommend adding on the local breakfast basket!

  • The Hall at Woodcock Farm is everything you could possibly want in a holiday let. It's in a quiet location but close to many places to visit. We were spoilt for choice. Caroline and Jason are great hosts and made everything work smoothly, from our first contact to our late arrival after a long and busy journey on a Bank Holiday Friday night. We could not have asked for more and the small touches of milk in the fridge and the essential staples in the kitchen were much appreciated. We will certainly be making a return visit.

    Helen2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice accommodation in a beautiful area and very friendly hosts. I would like to book again anytime.

    Astrid2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great, romantic 3 day break over Easter. Caroline had put milk in the fridge and there was essential cooking ingredients which came in handy. The space is great for a couple. We are outside on a table and chairs in the garden which was private (possibly the next door rental could have been sat outside near us had they been inclined) . We had private parking in front which is so convenient. This was the cleanest rental we have stayed at. The location was ideal. Caroline had given us a local taxi number and we got into Bath for 30pounds. There is a park and ride option at Lansdown (15 mins away) but we were having a proper meal with wine so this felt reasonable given the circumstances. We visited Dyrham Park and did a circular walk starting at Uley (20 mins away). Could have done an extra day or two easily.

It was easy to find and there was ample parking which is always an advantage. We met Joanna in the morning as she was feeding the animals, she was lovely and welcoming. We loved having the animals on our doorstep, especially the cheeky pony that was kicking the gate to say hello. Such a great stay. Would recommend to anyone 🥰

Yet within half an hour’s drive are the lights and sights and culture of historic Bristol and Bath each with excellent shopping , sight-seeing and night life and endless wonderful places to eat. Gloucester and Cheltenham are a little further. The National Arboretum at Westonbirt and Dyrham House, the National Trust property are within 15 minutes drive. Our local Market town of Chipping Sodbury has traditional butchers, greengrocers and is home to our Hobbs House bakery, and some wonderful coffee shops and delis. There are cinema and sports facilities at Yate, and nearby Nailsworth, Tetbury, Cirencester and Stroud are all highly individual and worth exploring. Numerous villages are within easy driving distance including the picturesque Castle Combe, and there are dozens of wonderful pubs for eating in the evening. We are happy to suggest and inspire.

Barn End offers high quality luxury with every home comfort, set within a traditional Cotswolds barn. Woodcock Farm occupies 36 acres on the Cotswold Way with sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks. Within the farmland is an Iron Age hill fort that was subsequently occupied by the Romans and Anglo Saxons; so history is literally on the doorstep. Located just 5 mins from J18 of M4 set in quiet, rolling countryside close to Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester.
Barn End has recently undergone a full renovation and how offers a super fully fitted kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, fridge with freezer compartment and all cooking equipment. The bathroom is one of the highlights of Barn End, with a fabulous Nebbia bath, which has been moulded around the human body for the ultimate feeling of comfort. Take your G&T and relax.... The spacious shower offers both a rain and hand held shower head. The decor is stylish with a wall length mirror, attractive tiling to both walls and floor. The king-size double bed has a top quality memory foam mattress to ensure a really good night's sleep. Top quality linens just add to the feeling of luxury. Freeview TV and free wifi are provided, (but please remember we are in the country so the speeds may not be as you are used to!). The cosy sitting area looks out over the gardens through large glazed doors (with voile curtains for privacy). A woodburner adds the final touch to this beautiful space. Locally there is a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out. The Farm sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way. There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites. The whole surroundings are a haven of tranquility and beautiful nature, with spectacular views from the escarpment across the Severn Valley to Wales.
The Cotswolds in one of the most beautiful parts of SW England, but close at hand if you want great shops, restaurants and nightlife are Bath and Bristol. Our local town - Chipping Sodbury - boasts its own bakers (Hobbs House Bakery - The Fabulous Baker Boys), Waitrose, local butchers and greengrocers as well as a great Deli/coffee shop called Hamptons, which serve a great brunch! There is a cinema and sports centre with a indoor pool in Yate, which is 15 mins away, and Yate also offers a train service to Bristol Parkway. The free Park and Ride service into Bath is around 15 mins drive located at the top of Lansdown, near the Racecourse. There are a host of places to visit close at hand; Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury and Cirencester, Malmsbury Abbey, Berkeley Castle, Bristol Zoo and Aquarium, @Bristol to name a few. The Cotswolds Way cuts through the farm and there a many local footpaths and walks which take you through some of the beautiful local countryside.
  • Fantastic property and very well presented! Peaceful and relaxing for a quiet winters weekend. Kitchen is very well equipped and the bed super comfortable! Loved the log fire!

  • Clean, modern...great kitchen that was super easy to cook in. Amazing bathroom. Extremely quiet, very cosy, and we really enjoyed the woodburner!

  • We visited Woodcock Farm in November for my partners birthday. The fire was a brilliant touch, the heating on, blanket provided and even a hot water bottle. We ordered the breakfast basket and with little notice but Caroline made this happen for us which was greatly appreciated. Caroline suggested the Cotswold Way walk as well as a variety of pubs in the area. We had a great walk and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast in the area. After check out we then went to do some shopping in Bath which was only around a 20/25 minute drive so a great location. All in all we had a great stay and would absolutely return.

  • A great place to relax, unwind and explore the Cotswolds from. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

  • “Barn End” was awesome. Very comfortable, very clean and blissfully quiet. Located adjacent to the property is Neolithic Fort. Old Sodbury Hillfort is an impressive Bronze to Iron age encampment atop the Cotswold Ridge. Not to mention it’s a working farm, Woodcock Farm. Fresh eggs, fresh bacon, fresh baked bread, milk, orange juice and a little dog named Archie. We had a lovely stay. We highly recommend Barn End. Thank you Caroline and Jason.

Everything from the fireplace which Rose prepared for us, to the lovely fresh bread, eggs and milk that she left make the cottage a really thoughtfully set up location. The location is tranquil, and communication with the hosts was effortless. Would definitely recommend!

  • The Stables is the perfect place for a relaxed getaway, with lovely walks on the farm and beyond and fab little towns nearby- Tetbury is particularly lovely!

    Holly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at Rose's place. It is set in beautiful countryside, is nicely furnished, and is larger than it looks on the pictures. We definitely recommend it and plan to return!

  • Excellent excellent! Beautiful place and great host

    Peter2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rose’s cottage is all it appears to be from the photos. The wood burning stove and the gorgeous bath are very visible star features. What is less obvious from the photos is that you have a well equipped kitchen, so if you wish to cook during your stay, you will have everything you need. It’s a beautiful and comfortable place, where you will feel instantly at home, with the bonus of a stunning stream-side setting. Can’t wait to go back!

    Rachel2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful place for perfect relaxation. My partner and I stayed for a very weekend of very inclement weather, but came back thoroughly completely relaxed, such a comfy bed, relaxing bath, cosy living room and beautiful farm setting.
