  • What a perfect little haven away from it all! Loved the peace and quiet of no tv or wifi. The old railway carriage is very cozy and has everything you need including tea, coffee and milk. Hot tub was awesome after dinner for some stargazing and still warm enough in the morning before breakfast. We will return👍

  • Couldn’t be more perfect. Away from everyone and everything. A real chance to connect with nature and watch the stars in an evening soak in a log burner hot tub. Wish I had more time At the cabin.

  • The Shepard’s hut was perfect for a quick weekend away. The hot tub was definitely the highlight, even in the rain. Cabin warms up very quickly after lighting the log burner. Bring flip flops/sliders for getting to and from the hot tub and toilet. Plough across the road do great food too. Thanks again!

  • We had a lovely one night stay here and the hot tub was great, the cooking facilities were perfect and the fairy lights were a great touch! Great communication, would defiantly recommend.

  • I would 100% recommend this place, and even come back again! Myself and 3 friends came to the Rectory Retreat as a get away for my birthday and as a general get away from the city. It was far beyond what we expected and loved every minute. From the moment we got there, Lisa had everything ready for us. She gave us a tour and explained how everything worked. They’re avid recyclers too!! Which was a plus. The hot tub is with an extra cost but split between myself and friends it was virtually nothing. Can’t thank Lisa and Jeremy enough for an amazing place to stay.

    Rachel2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay! The cabin exceeded our expectations, the hot tub was gorgeous and we were well looked after. Lisa offered to get the hot tub going for us with wood fire as it takes a couple of hours to get going - perfect for the return from our long walk! It was very comfortable, romantic and cosy. Also, the Plough Inn was great for food and Blenheim Taxis were brilliant if you need a ride!

  • Met by Lisa, who was super nice and explained how everything worked. The hideaway was so cozy and secluded. The hot tub under the stars was amazing as was the log burner and all the fairy lights. This is an unmissable place, truly unique and amazing. Thank you so much

  • Thank you so much my parents had a amazing time and have been recommending your place ever since they have been back. Couldn’t pick a fault at all from start to finish

    Katie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back! Couldn’t get better.

  • Stayed here at the end of February, even though the weather wasn’t ideal (there was a storm this weekend!) we still got full use of the hut and hot tub. If you’re thinking of staying here the tub is a no brainer. It’s a wonderful escape from civilisation and we’re so glad we discovered it for our first Airbnb experience! Thank you to Lisa for meeting us and showing us how to find the hut and use the facilities, made us extremely comfortable staying here! Would highly recommend!

    Jamie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just unbelievable Wish we could have stayed longer

    Chris2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I paid for a night away for my partner for a Christmas present. It was prefect. The location was so quiet and we could see the stars perfectly. I was slightly worried it might be cold but the wood burner kept it extremely toasty and was easy to keep alight! The little touches in the place were so lovely from the fairy lights to the tea lights. Jeremy met us and explained all we needed to know. We paid extra to use the hot tub which was great. Thankfully you can add some cold water as we got in after the pub and it was soooo hot haha! Jeremy recommended The Plough Inn and we are glad we went - the food was amazing and they even catered for me as a vegan. The only thing I’d have changed is I’d have booked to stay longer! Thanks for a fab little spot.

Duck End Cottage is an historic thatched cottage dating back to the thirteenth century . It has recently been restored using traditional methods of wattle and daub externally, and lathe and plaster internally to help preserve the original cruck frame
The simplicity of Duck End Cottage's original build is complemented by the contemporary new kitchen and bathroom which offers the highest standard of modern living. The extensive gardens in a conservation area offer a peaceful place to wander and unwind. Bounded on two sides by a babbling brook it is a haven for wild life, including kingfishers, moorhens, long-tailed tits and owls. The view from the window of the Thames flood plane may entice you to walk to the river, or to St Michaels, the village church, before retiring for a bite to eat and drink at the Harcourt Arms, the village pub (the village pub is closed for refurbishment at the moment). St Michaels is thought to have been built in 1130 by the second wife of Henry I and is mentioned in the doomsday book.

  • Such a unique place! We loved being able to keep the fireplace going on our own with all the wood that Sue left for us, all night we were in front of it while watching movies and drinking tea- such a cozy time! Her dvd selection was like being back at a video rental :)

  • One of the most beautiful Air BNB's we have ever stayed in. Ben was a fantastic host, a lovely guy and he really goes above and beyond in every element to ensure you have the best stay possible. He was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour around the house and how to use all of the facilities. The house is absolutely stunning and a lot of thought has gone into maintaining the original details of the house but with some modern touches such as the kitchen and bathroom. It was the perfect weekend getaway, I just wish we could have stayed for longer!

  • We had a lovely weekend at Ben's place. It is very tastefully decorated and Ben has thought of everything you could possibly need or want. We enjoyed relaxing in front of the roaring log fire and everyone slept well in the super comfy beds. He was very helpful with lots of local restaurant suggestions for us to pre book. The location is peaceful and perfect for visiting lovely Cotswold villages. We were sorry to leave and would definitely return.

Retreat to an inviting living space decorated in neutral hues. Morning light fills this 18th century property which features exposed brick walls and sloping ceilings. Recline on the beige corner sofa for stunning views of the Oxfordshire countryside.
  • We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous escape. The light that fills the barn is simply gorgeous. We cooked dinner in twice and breakfast once, having everything we needed to do this. Just what we needed this weekend.

    Amy-Louise2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful barn with amazing high ceilings and lots of light. Comfortable furniture throughout and the kitchen is genuinely one of the best equipped kitchens of any Airbnb or cottage that I have ever rented. The bread, milk and butter in the fridge was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Friendly and welcoming hosts who have put so much thought into this property which really shows - there was a feeling of quality throughout.

    Philippa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful converted barn, felt very homely and contemporary. Host Henry was very accommodating about us having to arrive beyond the check in time due to work. We had a very enjoyable stay, a perfect get away weekend after a stressful couple of months. We visited local area of Burford which was very pretty and enjoyed a Sunday roast, would recommend. Cooking food was really easy and made a relaxing evening. Host had supplied tea, coffee, milk, butter and bread which was a lovely touch and really helpful.

    Katie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Henry and Rachel's place which is a very stylish barn conversion in beautiful countryside. The weather prevented us from doing all of the walking that we had planned and so it was wonderful to have such a lovely home to retreat to and relax whilst the gales were blowing outside.

    Joanne2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Henry’s Barn was a lovely location for a few nights away. I was greeted by Henry who explained everything and the barn was lovely and homely

  • Thank you Henry for a restful and very enjoyable stay. A great way for us to start 2020.

    Peter2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Henry’s barn between Christmas and new year and it was such a gorgeous home from home. The barn is stunning and so comfortable we felt very at home. The location is great we ate at some local pubs and enjoyed some time out in Oxford and went to see Waddesdon Manor. Thank you to Henry and his family for the warm welcome we will certainly be keeping this place in mind for future short breaks.

Entire home suitable for up to 4 people. Located in a Cotswold village with endless rural walks from the doorstep. New for 2020, a luxury Finnish Sauna ( optional extra ). Garden with 2 separate seating areas and brick built BBQ. Field opposite, home to our goats and hens. Private parking adjoining cottage, bustling village pub a stroll along the lane. Many local attractions. A perfect setting for a relaxing retreat.
Beautifully renovated in characterful Cotswolds style. The Cottage has a large living room with separate kitchen and separate conservatory used for dining. It is a cosy space but yet big enough to feel relaxed as a group. A new 3/4 person luxury Finnish sauna is an optional extra.
The village of Alvescot is quintessentially English. It has a lovely local pub serving good food and beer (we recommend to book beforehand) and a church. In the village there is also a large, safe playground for children and a tennis court. The cottage is located next to a farm and stables. It is just lovely to walk out and enjoy the countryside. The popular town of Burford is just a 10 minute drive away. Here there is lots to see and lots to do.
  • Dominic and his parents were great hosts. The extra touches, like the welcome breakfast were very thoughtful and much appreciated by me and my family, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend!

    Lorraine2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my partner and our one year old daughter, my mum and sister. It was very cosy and relaxing - a lovely place to escape the dreary Feb weather. We took full advantage of the amazing sauna. Although the weather wasn't good enough for much exploring we made it to the Plough for dinner, which we really enjoyed. The village and countryside is very pretty so I could easily have spent a couple more days there. In summer I can imagine the garden is a lovely place to spend time with friends and family. The facilities were great with a well equipped kitchen and lots of cosy blankets to snuggle up in the living room. I liked the dining room setup, which is in the conservatory so very light and airy. The heating kept the place nice and warm. Thanks again for a lovely weekend! Amy

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with everything you could wish for. Definitely worth paying the extra for the fabulous sauna! It's like a private spa in the countryside. The kitchen was well kitted out and it felt like a home from home. The only disappointment was having to go home.

    Claire2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautifully presented, decorate and furnished to a high standard, wonderfully clean and has all the amenities you need and more. The welcome breakfast made a lovely family breakfast on our first morning with a big selection of teas and coffees etc provided as well. The cottage is within driving distance of all our favourite Cotswolds villages and we also visiting the Cotswold wildlife park and gardens, which was a lovely day out. The village pub is great- child friendly, warm and welcoming. Highly recommended, I’m sure we will be back.

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dominic is a wonderful host. His father Peter who helps manage the property was a great help. We arrived late in the night and it can be a little tricky to find the cottage. He came out to road to ensure we could find our way. The cottage itself has a wonderful feeling of home, with many authentic touches, and several great books and maps of the region. They greeted us with free range eggs which was a thoughtful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the private garden with wonderful sunlight in the mornings. Several major supermarkets are also conveniently 5 mins driving away and there is local pub/restaurant with very friendly staff. Overall a great 2 days.

    Tomlinson2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for being kind and welcoming even though I arrived late. Relax and leave in small food and warm homes. I want to come back ~ :-)

  • Lovely place in a lovely area! The best shower and so cosy with the fire. It’s just what me and partner needed Leanne was great! Little touches made our stay. Thanks again :)

  • Lovely cottage that was clean, well equipped and newly refurbished. Host was quick at responding and catered well to our needs, as and when.

    Bryony2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our second visit and we enjoyed returning to our favourite Airbnb. This time we made sure we got to white horse hill and took a circular walk from the village. Leanne’s place always feels like home from home and is where we like to spend a cosy night in the bed is so comfortable it’s hard to leave. Thanks Leanne for our valentine’s fizz and making our stay feel extra special!

  • Beautiful retreat in a countryside village, really nice features made all the cosier by the log burner. Leanne is a very thoughtful and considerate host. Highly recommend staying here!

  • My second visit and it was even better than the first. I will be back again, I think that says everything about a fantastic host and Walnut.

    David2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the log fire, loved how Leanne was so hospitable but yet still respected our privacy. The barn was so beautiful and well equipped. Thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful home xxx

    Debbie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a home from home. A penthouse suite with personal touches. The accommodation was so good we had to force ourselves to go out as all we wanted to do was curl up in front of the log burner. Leanne is a superb host that helped us with the most unexpected issue. I cannot recommend a stay more highly.

No 2 Shepherd Hut is a warm and comfortable traditional shepherd's hut which sleeps two in the village of Cumnor, 3.5 miles from Oxford Station. Enjoy the best of both worlds with the peace and quiet of the countryside, and the closeness of Oxford with its ancient buildings and variety of restaurants and pubs. The hut is in a paddock with another shepherd hut, with field views, close to two local pubs and a village shop. Enjoy local walks or a stroll alongside the Thames (guide book supplied).
The space is self-contained with the bed, living space and bathroom all in the Hut - no need to go outside for the loo or a shower! It has wifi. There are a couple of chairs to sit outside, and and also a barbeque for guests' use (please bring your own charcoal, or let us know if you're coming by public transport and wish to use it). As there are two shepherd huts in the paddock, some guests like to visit with friends. Inside there is a small fridge, microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery and an electric log-effect heater which warms the hut up in minutes at the flick of a switch. A Continental-style breakfast, towels and shower gel are all included.
Cumnor is a pleasant village with a shop, many thatched cottages, and popular because of its closeness to Oxford.
  • We booked 2 nights in both huts and had a brilliant weekend at Sandra's. The huts are unique and really beautiful. Sandra and her husband built them and the story behind them is really lovely. Each hut was cosy and thoughtfully decorated. They were spotlessly clean wirh so many nice touches. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed and more. The location is brilliant for easy access to Oxford, whilst being able to stay in peaceful quiet Cumnor. Sandra is a brilliant host who made our stay extra special and we will be back again withiut doubt!

    Ali2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra was a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was amazing, really cosy, clean and comfortable in a very peaceful area just outside of Oxford. Super comfy bed. I just loved the whole experience of staying in a Sheppard's hut. I will definitely be back to stay again soon.

    Chloe2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a getaway - the hut is in a beautiful rural area with no light pollution (beautiful starry skies!) and it was totally quiet as well - no road noise or anything. The village is lovely with a great local pub in walking distance, and the hut itself is beautiful - big and comfy bed, good bathroom and even a fireplace/fan heater in the corner. Really cosy (it chucked it down with rain when we stayed) - would definitely recommend.

    Suziey2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra was a very attentive and thoughtful host, the space was very relaxing and very easy to reach oxford city centre. A lovely relaxing weekend break. Would recommend.

Plenty of private parking and your own entrance operated by key box. You also have use of the utility room which has a fridge and microwave. Use of washing machine/dryer available on request. • Rebecca’s home is wonderful - exactly as described, beautifully clean, stylish and more cost friendly than surrounding hotels. Communication was brilliant and Rebecca was always eager to go above and beyond to help if needed. Would 100% recommend to others!

  • What an amazing space. I felt incredibly relaxed, safe and cosy staying here. Rebecca is an excellent host and helped whenever needed. The bed and pillows are so comfortable and under floor heating just makes it that more dreamy. Outstanding value for money I believe for what you get. A private safe courtyard, own entrance, beautiful big bedroom/lounge area in a tranquil little village? Would love to return in summer. Thank you

  • Without a doubt, the most beautiful air bnb in Great Britain! The pictures on the advertisement do not do it justice. The bathroom is stunning & has heated flooring, the towels were extra fluffy, the carpet in the living area was immaculate, the interior decoration was stylish & modern, yet very country & cosy at the same time. The place is fully equipped with shampoos, shower gels, moisturisers, make up remover pads etc so if you’re the type of person who wants to go places with hand luggage only, this air bnb is for you. The host couldn’t of been more fantastic, pure British hospitality at every moment. Wish I could have stayed for longer, 100% would recommend this air bnb! Absolute perfection!

  • Rebecca was a wonderful host and was very open and welcoming and has a great knowledge of the local area. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but the location is fantastic, private, and very picturesque. Would have loved to stay longer and look forward to coming back in the future.

  • Our stay was unfortunately only one night, but we wish we could have stayed forever! Everything about The Granary was superb. The room is vary spaces and open, as well as being self contained. The bed, carpet and under floor heating meant that our stay was extremely relaxing and comfortable. There is a small sofa to watch TV which is Netflix equipped. And there is also a small dining table with 2 chairs, obviously for eating at. There was plenty of teas to chose from as well as a section of cereals. Plenty of cutlery is also available in the draws. Outside the room there is a utility room that you are able to use, and this contains a fridge, sink and microwave. We will be back!

He is a very nice and friendly person. Would definitely recommend this house. Also, he was very attentive to details, he left the house all to ourselves and also offered us some breakfast in the morning.

Our modern king sized room is just a 5 minute walk from historic Wantage town centre, the birthplace of King Alfred. The impressive Uffington White Horse is nearby and beautiful Oxford is also a short drive away. This large relaxing room would suit people on a business trip or weekend break. People staying on longer holidays are welcome as long as access to a kitchen is not needed. Find out more about the room and the lovely area below....
The light and airy king sized bedroom is large but still manages to have a cosy feel. The room has very recently been renovated so everything has been chosen with our guests in mind. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, a 32 inch TV and plenty of storage space in the built in wardrobe . We have a new cocktail sofa and bed frame and mattress to ensure you get the best nights sleep possible. The bathroom has also been refitted and redecorated. Complimentary toiletries will be provided along with towels. On street parking is available outside our property and directly opposite in the car park. Please note, spaces are limited at certain times of the day. There are nearby roads which are a short walk away where you can also park (Ormond Road).
Wantage boasts a variety of lovely independent coffee shops and restaurants (we even have a small licensed cinema!). Every Saturday there is a local food market in the town square where you can purchase breads, honey, kombucha and much more. Within 7 minutes you can be in either a Waitrose or a large Sainsburys. There are some quaint local villages too which you can walk/take a short drive to which have some wonderful pubs which we can happily recommend. Overall, Wantage is a charming town surrounded by sleepy villages and vibrant Oxford is also just a stone throw away.

Our place is good for business travellers, solo adventurers, and couples. We live in a small village which is perfectly located for the A34 taking you to Oxford, London (via Didcot railway station) and the famous Bicester Designer Village for Boutique shopping. Trains frequently go from Didcot to Paddington Station in London within 45 minutes. A parking space is available for guests.
The bedroom is at the front of the house with its own private ensuite room with shower. We are a 15 minute drive to the nearest Park and Ride into Oxford or 20 minute drive (traffic permitting) into central Oxford. Oxford parking is expensive (average £2.50 an hour with most streets being 2 hours maximum parking or resident only parking) so the Park and Ride service is the cheapest and quickest way to travel into central Oxford. We are also conveniently located for Didcot Railway Station which has many fast trains into London Paddington so perfect for accessing business meetings or tourist attractions in the capital. We are an average 15 minute drive (traffic permitting) to Didcot station where parking can be booked ahead. Our house is also only a 20 minute drive from the M4.
Marcham is a small village with a local pub and a community run shop. It is a great place to be to escape the huddle and bussle of city or town life.

It is also ideal for walking/cycling the Ridgeway or exploring the birthplace of King Alfred. There are frequent buses to Oxford and Didcot. My place would suit people staying on business trips.
  • Really nice space to unwind, close to all amenities. I am already planning to stay again!

New self-contained detached annexe with its own private entrance. Lovely living space with kitchen, lounge and dining area, separate bedroom and bathroom. Off-street parking, sofabed in lounge area, Smart TV, wifi.
The property is 2 minutes walk from the centre of the town. Faringdon has some lovely local pubs and places to eat - La Bobina - Spanish Tapas & Wine Bar is particularly good as is the Viceroy Indian that does takeaway as well.
  • This accommodation provides clean and comfortable stay. Suitable for a travelling couple as Cotswold is easily accessible. Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are also within a good commuting distance. We had a car and managed to travel whole of the Cotswold in two days. The town offers all necessary amenities should you wish to stay locally in the evenings. Tim provided us with all the relevant information and therefore we didn’t need to contact him during our stay

The newly fitted kitchen area is equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We also provide cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, glasses, tea towels and washing up essentials. Teas, coffees, cafetierre and fresh milk for your first night. The living area has a 2 seater sofa, large tv, and bistro style table with 2 chairs. The sleeping area has a double bed (all bedding provided), bed side tables with lamps, and a wardrobe with drawers under. Shelf with mirror over. Hairdryer. The shower room is equipped with towels, soap, shower gel and shampoo. The utility cupboard has a washing machine , tumble dryer, mini ironing board and iron. We are a non smoking property. Sorry, no pets. East Challow is just outside the pretty market town of Wantage. Wantage itself is famous for being the birth place of Alfred the Great- an ancient king of England. It is also within easy reach of The Ridgeway and the world famous White Horse at Uffington. It is also known as being in the heart of the horse racing industry with many well known stables in the Wantage and Lambourn area. East Challow is approximately 20 miles from the university city of Oxford with good road and public transport links. As hosts we don't tend to interact with the guests other than showing the guests to the room and explaining the facilities that are available. However we live in the house and so will be on hand to answer any questions and advise on local amenities should this be a requirement. East Challow is an interesting village with lots of local walks. The people are very friendly and there are many local pubs in the surrounding area offering a variety of good food and drink. A local bus can be caught to take you into Wantage. An express service to Oxford can be taken from there. From Oxford, London can be reached in about two hours on the bus. London can also reached in about an hour on the train from Didcot which is about 6 miles from Wantage. I also have a number of taxi numbers should this be a requirement.
East Challow is an interesting village with a pretty church and lots of local walks. The reclamation yard (Haynes of Challow) sells a variety of new and used items and is great for a browse. There is no pub in the village, but surrounding villages and the nearby town of Wantage (1.5 miles ) provide plenty of places to eat and drink. Nearby Wiliam's formula one (2.5 miles) Lains barn wedding venue ( 3 miles) The Ridgeway (3 miles) White Horse Hill (6 miles) Harwell (7.5 miles) Didcot parkway railway station (10 miles) Oxford (17 miles) Cotswolds (approx 20 miles) Bicester village outlet centre (27 miles) Central London (70 miles)
  • Excellent host, very helpful and quick responses

    Gaurav2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Karen’s small studio per almost three weeks. I have to say that it is the first time i have such an amazing experience. Starting from the host attention and help. Karen is a very nice and kind person. She tried to be there all the time taking care of things in order to make me feel like home. The studio is very good, clean and cosy. It has everything one needs for a short or long stay. The location is good with buses (it depends where you wanna go). In my case, i was in UK for work, thus i had to be more careful about the bus connections to harwell campus. Otherwise you can have a nice walk to the town where you can find stores, restaurants, museums and buses to Oxford, harwell, didcot... etc. I will extremely recommend this place.

    Rosa2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was a fantastic host, and this was a lovely place to stay as our first weekend away as a family of three. Everything we needed, and Karen was on hand for tips and help the whole time! Thank you for a lovely weekend.

    Sarah2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place had everything I needed for my stay. I really enjoyed it.

    Mauro2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is cozy and comfortable and we had a great weekend. It's a great base to explore the downs and there are some nice places to eat just a short drive away - we would definitely follow Karen's recommendation of the Greyhound!

    Jonathan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Karen for the stay, your place was perfect for my work trip. Really easy check in/out, warm and cozy, bathroom and kitchen super clean and full of everything you need utensils wise to cook dinners/ lunches. Wifi connection was great and a nice big tv to chill in front of after a days work. The best touch was the mugs with kitkats on welcome ready for a big cuppa after a long drive!

    Jennifer2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s place was truly amazing! She’s a great host and has a perfect sized flat for a traveling couple.

    Adam2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property is a fantastic place to stay with a wonderful welcome from Karen. The studio apartment was spotless and was well equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. It was the perfect hub for us to visit family in Didcot for a couple of days. I couldn't recommend this place enough and hope to visit again in the future!

As an experienced super host I've learnt our annex's blend of comfort and style ensures guests return to us regularly. I make sure there are plenty of supplies in our well equipped modern kitchenette, fluffy dressing gowns for relaxing in before going out and toiletries of exceptional quality. Our annex is minutes from Faringdon town centre for great local food and drink, a stone's throw from countryside walks and a bus ride to Oxford for culture and shopping. A warm welcome awaits you!
The accommodation is private and tranquil. Our price remains the same regardless of the time of year you visit - and there are no extra costs. It has its own entrance with a key-safe so you can come and go as you please. The kitchenette has an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, fridge, pans and everything else you might need (including, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, eggs, cereals and snacks). The large bedroom has a very comfortable, real double bed, a table to eat or work, storage space and its own ensuite (with power shower). You also have your own outside space with table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining. The annex is part of our family home so we are usually at hand to answer questions and if not there are plenty of brochures to help you plan and discover all that Oxfordshire has to offer. We're a short drive to Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham, so ideal if you want to explore further afield. We love baking cakes in our house, so you’re very likely to get a slice or two during your stay. We look forward to meeting you!
Our 1970s detached house is on the edge of The Pines and Canada Lane in Faringdon. Behind the house is a path that, within a few seconds, takes you into the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. A few minutes in the opposite direction you'll find the town centre's friendly pubs, restaurants and shops.

There are nice touches that made our stay nicer such as organic/natural bathroom amenities and items for a quick breakfast. The Wifi was fast and there is also Netflix and other steaming options. There is a designated park space to comfortably park your car.

Single room in a unique 7 bedroom house. Jack and Jill bathroom shared with 1 other guest if adjoining room booked out. 5 minute drive into the centre of Abingdon, 15 minutes from Didcot and 20 minutes from Oxford city centre. Beautiful view of the Oxfordshire countryside. Pets are welcome.
If you love animals, this is the ideal place to stay. There is a cattery in the garden and loads of Birman kittens to see.
The tranquil town of Drayton is a 5 min ( if that) drive from Abingdon. There is a millennium green at the front of the property which I would recommend visiting, especially if you have a dog.
  • Definately one of the best airbnbs i've been to so far. Highly recommend it. Great location close to all amenities and most of all great hosts and cute dogs :)

  • It like a house share with a communal kitchen to use with those who lodge there, shared dining table in the conservatory next to the kitchen and a patio table and chairs to use outside. One is given a fridge with a freezer compartment to use just for oneself and supplied with milk, breakfast cereal, bread, butter and jam by the host. Laundry is available at no extra charge: washing machine with a 14 minute setting for a speedy wash, washing powder, tumble dryer and drying area in conservatory on a clothes horse are all provided by the host. X2 bus stop at top of Sutton Wick Lane in Abingdon Road. Convenience store and post office in central Drayton. Good country walks near by. Horse riding school 20 minutes walk away via foot path which does several one hour hacks on weekend. Stonehill Riding School.

  • We had a lovely stay in the cottage with our 2 children (aged 7 and 9). It's a nice tranquil space. It gave us the rest we longed for. There is plenty to see and explore in the neighbourhood. The cottage is very well equipped (great kitchen!) and has a very good wifi connection. But the thing we liked most was perhaps the little wood stove to give us lovely cosy winter nights. Hope to return one day...

  • Wonderful cottage located in the middle of the small village. Car required as it’s a remote location but with brilliant access to the local towns (including oxford) We took our dog and the set up was perfect. Thank you Kate for our stay and all your help whilst we were there.

  • Hosting was superb. Lorraine showed me around and told me how things work which actually was refreshing as I’m surprised how many hosts don’t do this. Also very relaxed and nice to talk to and is impressively busy with all her community activities. Good stay and would stay again.

  • Lorraine and Mark were superhosts in my opinion. I arrived late evening and they were very welcoming and happy for me to cook quickly too. We had some good chats and I slept like a log. I would highly recommend their room which is a good size for 2 people.

Recently completed and furnished to a high standard this beautiful self contained studio is very conveniently located for visiting Oxford and its surrounding towns and villages. It is the perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the countryside. This detached studio is very cosy and well equipped to make you feel at home. As it is detached and very private it is ideal to self isolate if necessary.I am ensuring thorough cleanliness using sanitising products to protect against viruses.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances including an oven and induction hob, a fridge and microwave. There is a table with seating for two overlooking the living space with a very comfortable Willow and Hall double sofa bed, footstool and television. There is plenty of storage with lots of box shelving and tongue and groove wall cupboards (where the luxurious bed linen can be found,) as well as wall hooks for hanging coats. The Studio is a vaulted space making it feel very light and airy with conservation velux windows and lovely industrial lighting. The building is very well insulated and there is electric heating. The Shower room comprises quality features, a stone sink with wall taps, a large electric shower, heated towel rail and modern lighting. There is excellent free wifi provided.
The Studio has parking in front for one car however there is also a very good bus service S6 (with the bus stop 5 minutes walk away,) that runs from Oxford to Swindon every 20 minutes. There is a lovely pub "The Lamb" in the village as well as "The Trout" at Tadpole Bridge and "Mollies Diner" both 5 minutes drive.
