Entire one-room rental. We recommend it for single or double use, but it can accommodate up to 3 people with the addition of 1 extra bed (* separate consultation required). The first floor of the 2-story building is the accommodation. The entrance is independent. On the 2nd floor, "ROYAL HAWAIIAN CAFE THE PINK" will open on May 13, 2024 (managed by a different owner). When you leave the room and go up the embankment, you can enjoy Lake Biwa right in front of you, the mountains of Hiei and Hira on the other side, the sunrise and sunset on the lake, and the fantastic scenery that changes with the time and season. Jogging and walking along the embankment and cycling along the lakeside road are also recommended!!! Long stays and business trips are also welcome! This is a small mountain village in the Nakayama Mountains in southern Shiga Prefecture, where the countryside spreads out with seasonal rural landscapes, birds chirping, and the sound of insects as BGM. At night, it is dark except for the street lights, and the starry sky is beautiful and quiet. You can stay overnight and eat out, or cook with family and friends in the kitchen. We have rice and rice ball ingredients that farmers are proud of, so please cook them in a clay pot or rice cooker. If you don't cook, you can take it home. To sleep, you will sleep on a tatami bed with a futon (long size) and sheets, and a feather futon. (The fourth person will be on a simple bed) Towel quilts are available in summer and blankets and electric blankets are available in winter. Access is 1 km, about 2 minutes, from the Sugiyama intersection on National Route 307, entering Prefectural Route 5 towards Kizu. It is 11 km from Shinmeishinraku IC, 21 km from Naha-Kokusai-Tomei-no IC, 36 km from Keijibypass-Kasagi IC, and about 2 minutes on foot after getting off at Sugiyama bus stop on the Asakura line. Please let us know at time of booking as we can pick you up and drop you off at the nearest station, Shinraku Kogen Railway Shinraku Station. Please hand over the room keys at the entrance of the main house for check-in and check-out. Please come and enjoy the countryside.

This is a guest house in a 120-year-old house that was renovated with the concept of "nostalgic and new" in a town of Omi Hino merchants overlooking Mt. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
