Lake side house rentals in Rough River Lake

The hosts were great. Answered our questions within the hour. The home was amazing. Thoughtful touches, including lots of extras in the kitchen and bathrooms. Bath towels were luxurious. Decor was tasteful. Space was spotless. Deck and porch were great and we all loved the swing! Arcade games, table tennis, and foosball downstairs were fun for the kids and adults. Beds were comfy too!

This was a wonderful spot for a winter retreat! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the neighborhood was incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing stay. A few things to note: the hot water ran out a bit quickly, even with just two guests, and while the appliances (oven, washer, and dryer) were on the older side, they still worked fine. Some of the aesthetic details, like the floor trim, were a little unusual, and we weren’t able to get the fire pit working (it may have been out of propane). That said, these were all minor details in an otherwise great stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to others looking for a quiet getaway!

the surroundings outside were serene and the inside was cozy. It was the perfect place to stay. We are from out of state and we're visiting with family in the area. The home made me wish we visited when it was warmer and that we had a boat. It was above and beyond what we needed but I am grateful we had a peaceful place to come to at the end of the day.

Carrie was very friendly and prompt. We rent a large home every year and this one by far was our favorite. The beds were very comfortable and the house is beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful place for a large group this property is wonderful. I would definitely rent this property again.

Had a great stay at Sasquatch Acres. Really nice spot l, peaceful but not too remote. Good location for exploring the surrounding area and the caves. Check in was easy, Lynn was proactive and directions excellent. Place was as described, has a nice cabin feel with some modern touches. Really relaxing few days with the family and dog, highly recommended.

30 minutes from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Overall, great location. We loved soaking in the hot tub after hiking in the park. Really nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay when visiting Mammoth National Park.

By far, the one of the best airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at. Amy was a wonderful host and incredible at communicating. The house is brand new and the beds were all very comfy. Everything was beautifully decorated and cleaned. Not a lot to do nearby but we still made the best of our time & enjoyed ourselves. The small touches to the house were amazing. She left our kids Easter treats and stuff for smores. I could go on and on. Highly recommend. 20/10!

The place was great..we didn't realize how far away from things it was but we made it work and we didn't realize the flooding was so awful but these things were out of your control..so we baked and played games..hiked and went to the caves so we had a great time

The cabin was exactly as we expected. We loved the quiet serene lake and the 360 degree wrap around porch. The wind chimes and sunset would cap off each night. It was a great place to reconnect with family. My daughter’s favorite part was the huge shower with awesome acoustics!

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The camper was clean and cozy and surroundings were beautiful. We loved the fire pit setup with the string lights at night. The campsite was private and peaceful. Courtney was very quick in answering all our questions. We had a great time!

If you are looking for a remote getaway off the beaten path, then this is for you! Clean and fully furnished house right on the water has everything you need to relax for days. If you don't feel like going anywhere, bring your meals because you are a little ways from civilization. If eating out is more your style, use Tanya's helpful guide to order take out or eat in an area establishment. Tanya is helpful and responsive; she offered clear directions for getting there, checking in and out and everything in between. We traveled in the off-peak season so the outdoor area wasn't fully opened for the summer, but we made do using the provided air pumps and cleaning supplies. We would definitely recommend this for a quiet, relaxing respite from the chaos of busy everyday life!

This Glendale home was homey and beautiful, and very clean! Everything was nicely decorated and comfortable. We loved that there was a back deck with different seating options, as well as a very nice covered front porch with more seating and a pretty swing. The yard was nicely maintained. There is a train track very close to the house, and we enjoyed that (reminded us of our childhood). Also, the house was insulated enough that the we did not even hear the trains if we were asleep. Madeline was very responsive if we had questions.

My wife and I stayed over for a night while we explored area hiking trails. What a find! A peaceful and relaxing spot to start and end our days. We particularly enjoyed how clean and well-stocked the place was. Hot tub was pristine and sunset views from the deck were incredible. Very thoughtful and welcoming host, too. We’ll be back!

Had a great time here for my birthday. They had an awesome fire place with swinging benches and also a living room where we could watch movies on DVD. Great movie selection! In a semi secluded area, be that’s the exact vibes we wanted for a relaxing weekend somewhere close to Mammoth Cave. Super friendly hosts. Thank you for your help and hospitality!

The house had a lot of room, everything was clean and tidy. Pamphlets about the area and restaurants was very helpful.

We loved our stay! The house was in perfect condition. We enjoyed the screened in porch to most! The house was fully stocked and every imaginable thing that you might need was provided. Very easy, very clean, we felt at home. 10/10 recommend!!

Delta was an amazing host! The home was exactly what we saw in the pictures and had so many extra amenities! At night it is so quiet and peaceful and the porch was so relaxing and comfortable! The apartment was super comfy and had everything we needed for our stay. It was as described and was conveniently located to Mammoth Park. It was tastefully decorated and not loaded with clutter. Would highly recommend.
