Excellent stay and so close to everything. Easy check in and clear communication made everything seamless. Would recommend staying again. Only thing we did not use was the hot tub as we were unsure when it was cleaned or maintained last. All else was perfect!

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

We absolutely loved our stay at Kearu’s Nest. The beds were so comfortable, and the linen was beautiful. After a magical day on the lake, it was amazing to come home to an outdoor fire and relax in the spa. The birdlife was incredible, and the tūī birdsong made it even more special. With just a short walk to the lake, we made the most of early morning swims. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, Ange and Dave!

The cottage is private, spacious and homey, over looking a pretty valley. We felt good being there and sad to leave. The location is 30 minutes or less from Rotorua and maybe 50 minutes from Huka falls. Watching the Milky Way from the hot tub was a special treat!

This is a fantastic place to stay with all you need. Great indoor, outdoor living. Beautiful lake and easy home for all to enjoy. Lynley was very responsive and accommodating and we’d happily recommend and stay again.

Perfect little batch, very easy walk to the beach and a close bike ride or drive to shops, cafes, and handy to the Mount. We had everything we needed here and would stay again.

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot for our mini-moon! From the moment we arrived, we were in love—gorgeous flower gardens, dreamy hydrangeas, and the most charming vintage decor that was so our vibe. Every little detail was thoughtful and welcoming. Our small dog, Hazel, was just as happy as we were, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and exploring the garden. It felt like a cosy, romantic escape while still having all the comforts of home. We truly didn’t want to leave! Love, love, love—would stay again in a heartbeat! 💕✨🐾

Beautiful, peaceful stay away from the city with stunning scenic views. Lovely furnishing and well thought out creature comforts for a home away from home feel. Our daughter loved the animals and the daffodil paddock as well. Would highly recommend this lovely Villa.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay, The section was fully fenced Perfect for our dog & it's just a short walk to the beach, shopping center & Café. Loved all the outdoor seating areas. looking forward to staying again.

Great old school batch that felt very chill. Awesome to get to use the kayaks and lovely walks nearby. Added bonus was the toy box and the box of duplo which made the stay so much easier with the kids!

Dan's place is just a piece of paradise! Right in front of the lake, with private jetty and private ramp, away from the main road, totally safe for children. Highly recommend! Dan is very responsive and welcoming, makes you feel like home. Looking forward to return again!

Comfortable and well equipped cottage with spacious bedrooms and lovely lake views. We really enjoyed learning the story of the area, and exploring Rotorua and the wider region. The cottage is ideally placed for travel in any direction. We would be happy to stay again.

A Peaceful and Authentic Farm Stay Experience with two great hosts either stunning night skies. Our stay at Sunday Country Cabin was truly magical! The peaceful countryside setting provided the perfect escape from city life. The cozy accommodations and warm hospitality from Gary & Michael made us feel right at home. Apart from the stunning views and absolute calmness, this place also provides a great flexibility to visit Rotorua and Tauranga both in a single day, which is of course a cherry on top. Nights were especially breathtaking—calm, quiet, and perfect for stargazing. With no city lights around, the sky lit up beautifully, making for an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a serene retreat with stunning night views, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

Great stay in unique cozy home. Full of character and charm that you’d expect of a place like this. Comfortable beds. The washing machine was great to have. Nadia is very responsive and thoughtful. Left a little Easter treat for us! Walkable to grocery store. It’s a fair walk to Eat Streat etc, but we either ubered or drove. We recommend it for a cottage-like unique stay.

Frith and Andrew’s place was amazing. We were right next to the redwoods tree walk (amazing at night time). The location was great as well away from the city but also close enough to attractions and a great view to wake up to. Frith was so easy to communicate with, would highly recommend to anyone

We had an amazing four night stay here. The apartment was excellently furnished, the location effectively on the lakefront was fantastic and the outlook across the lake to Mount Tarawera was beautiful. We could not have wished for more. Thank you Murray for being such a great host

We loved staying at Alison and Marc's place. The house was very comfortable and in such a truly beautiful location by the lake. What made made it very special though was how kind and hospitable Alison and Marc were, over and above what we have experienced before. They were also very quick to respond when we needed help. We had been given all the information in the first place but were having a simple moment and they sorted us out!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It had everything you'd expect in a comfortable home, making us feel right at ease. The highlight was definitely the spa and the stunning lake view—especially when we caught a rainbow stretching across the water. Just breathtaking. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The love shack was a gorgeous secluded spot that is perfect for any type of getaway! The hosts were so delightful and had no hesitation with allowing us to charge our EV ,which was so helpful! The love shack itself is beautiful, a very modern decor and it is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need! We will definitely return!

We loved our stay! Was wonderful to be able to tie up our boat at the jetty and visit the hot pools. A very comfortable stay, and the kitchen was very well fitted out for cooking. Was also a great little walk to the cafe. Beautiful views and native birds. Alec was a great host and really appreaciate his great proactive communications. Would love to stay again.
