The vacation home has 160 square meters of living space and 5 bedrooms for 10 plus 2 people. It is located in the middle of the Leipzig Neuseenland on Lake Hain 20 km south of Leipzig. The core of the house is a 70 square meter dining/living room with huge windows, a long dining table and a fireplace. There are two large terraces, from the upper one you have a view far over the lake. The house was deliberately designed for sociable days in a larger group. For the children there are many books, toys and a playground.

The flat is in Ponitz, close to Renaissanceschloss Ponitz. You'll find a flat of three rooms in a historic mill house. You may use for 2, 3 or 4 persons. In the living room is a two-bedded gallery and if needed, we add a bed for three. Downstairs is a bed for the fourth person. Bed for smaller and smallest kids is available. The kitchen is well-equipped but there is no baking oven (only stove) and no TV (but WiFi). You'll find bathroom with shower, hairdryer and towels. Parking lot is available.

It offers a fully equipped Zanussi kitchen, a bedroom with a large, cozy double bed and a living room with a large couch and large screen for relaxing movie nights. You will feel at home in a nicely decorated apartment, hopefully in your home. All amenities such as internet, bikes in the basement ,parking, television, 2 separate bedrooms are provided. The nearest S-Bahn [suburban train] and bus stop, which takes you to the city of Leipzig in 30 minutes, is 5 minutes away.

The garden can also be used. Free parking very close by. In a few minutes walk you can reach the castle park with its 3 museums. You can also reach the city center by foot or use the city traffic. A stop is not far from the holiday apartment.

Deutsch: (for english please use Google translate) The whole apartment is fully equipped, there is an Aldi supermarket across the street and the city center is within easy walking distance. The entrance to the city park is 20 meters away. There is a beer garden with wonderful food in the middle of the park and a famous Michelin (1) restaurant very close by.

5 min to the highway, only 20 km to Chemnitz, 60 km to Leipzig, 90 km to Dresden and yet in the middle of an oasis of nature, streams and ponds, meadows and forests, tranquility and the relaxing sound of the water. The apartment is located in the middle of the forest! Please do not rate us 4 or fewer stars due to the idyllic & quiet location. Thank you very much.

We were more than satisfied with the stay! The place was beautiful and the surroundings super idyllic! The kitchen equipment was perfect - never experienced that EVERYTHING you need was really available! Absolutely recommended :) Luise was super friendly and always available and helpful. I also thought it was great that there were little toys for the kids - they were happy :) Absolutely recommended and we'll be happy to come back :)

We had a wonderful stay at this place. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The house itself was clean and cozy, and the surroundings added to the tranquility of our stay. One small note: we were traveling with kids, and while they had a great time, their energy and noise might be a bit distracting for other guests as in the house there are other people living.

We were passing through and only stayed there one night. It is really modern and stylish, plus super clean and quiet. I was only surprised because the apartment is on the ground floor (I probably missed that) and pedestrians walk directly past the living room windows. It was all great and beyond we can recommend the pizzas of the Pizzeria Agostino:)

We are a small family from Berlin and spent a weekend at Kathi's in Altenburg. It was sensational! The apartment is exactly as described and we felt at home right away. The apartment is chic and modern and has everything you need. Due to the quiet but also central location, it was the perfect combination of "switching off" and being centrally and quickly in the city. Communication with Kathi was always quick and friendly and we were able to clarify all questions quickly. Check-in and check-out were also very straightforward. Kathi even helped us with a parking space in the underground parking! Great! All in all, we were more than satisfied and felt very comfortable. If you want to visit Altenburg, you should definitely take a look at Kathi's apartment. We highly recommend the apartment and Kathi as a host and would be happy to come back.
