If you want to see the countryside and meet the real people, the locals of Ireland and be surrounded by beauty, plants, gardens, cows, sheep, and friendly people. This is a place to stay. It’s in a beautiful area. I had the most peaceful relaxing week and Shannon’s home was beautiful.

The Family stay was excellent for all ages the house was perfect big kitchen quiet to room and all big bedrooms. Easy to find and close to some local bits and easy to get to Carrick on Shannon and lough key Forrest park

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Irish home. The hosts were very friendly and met us on arrival. They were available if we had any questions and made us feel very welcome. The house itself was very clean and spacious. There were 2 adults and 3 children in our group and we all felt very comfortable and relaxed in the house. The location is also lovely, within walking distance of the shops, park and cafe. And many places to visit within a short driving distance. The rear garden was also a bonus, as we had lovely weather and were able to sit outside. This home had all the amenities required for a great stay and we will definitely be returning again soon!

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

Just back from a lovely few days at Caroilin"s place. Great location, lovely restaurants within a short distance. very peaceful surroundings. The house is lovely and it was fantastic for us to have the dog with us. Would highly recommend.

This was a great find and was the perfect base for exploring the area. The house itself was immaculately kept, so clean, comfortable and well laid out for our family. The Kilronan estate offers some lovely walks and the kids enjoyed using the pool. David was a fantastic host very helpful, friendly and responsive

Fabulous stay. House was beautiful and had everything we wanted for our trip. Hot tub was a definite highlight. Very comfortable with spectacular views. House is down a narrow country lane so just be aware of that. Would recommend highly for a lovely relaxing stay.

What an incredible experience at Anne's beautiful country cottage! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Anne is truly an exceptional host. The cottage itself is absolutely stunning and immaculately maintained. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the cozy furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen that had everything we could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept like babies each night. The underfloor heating was perfect for the cooler evenings, and the peaceful rural setting provided the most relaxing backdrop for our stay. Anne had thoughtfully stocked the fridge with lovely treats and breakfast essentials, which was such a wonderful surprise after our long journey. Thank you, Anne, for sharing your slice of paradise with us. This will definitely be a stay we treasure forever.

Would highly recommend, the views from the place are stunning and it was fantastic to be able to wake up to views of the River Shannon. Lanesborough is a nice little town, would recommend the Italian restaurant that has just recently opened there and the supermarket is very good. A very peaceful and relaxing experience.

Just had the most amazing stay in Carrick on Shannon. The area is amazing with beautiful scenery and so much to do. The icing on the cake was the beautiful apartment, had everything we needed and more, the views over the Shannon river were perfect. Karen the host couldn’t do enough for us definitely over and above. We will definitely be coming back. Thankyou Karen.

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

We had tea with both Aisling and Ray one night and ended up chatting for over 1.5 hours. They were wonderful hosts and provided us with local recommendations for restaurants and activities. Ray also made us delicious bread. We will cherish this trip!

Christine was a lovely host, very communicative and helpful. The property is newly renovated, rooms were spotless, beds comfortable with plenty of towels etc available. Very well equipped in the centre of the town so perfect for our needs. Will definitely stay again when we visit the area

Ita's place is in a perfect, quiet location, the place was spotless when we arrived, and she always responded quickly whenever we had a question. The pictures don't do it justice 100%, it's far more spacious than it looks. Easy to access with vehicle, road up to the house is properly taken care of. Many beautiful sunsets we're seen on our stay as well - great views from the living room. Internet is fast. Not much else to say, our stay was perfect. Thanks again Ita!

Gail’s place exceeded my expectations. The kitchen includes a separate sitting and dining area, so it was not at all pokey. Although it is above a cafe/pizza shop with lovely cooking smells, it was quiet in the evening. The apartment had everything we needed. The one drawback is there is no number to the apartment and so you have converse by messenger and meet Gail for key handover.

We had a really memorable stay. Tom and Christina were really helpful, friendly and very welcoming, every detail they gave was perfect. The studio was our perfect getaway, a very peaceful and quiet locality. We went by the recommendations given by Tom and Christina, they were all worth it. They also have two labs who were very loving and friendly. We can’t wait to come back here, the kind of place where you could have the most relaxed vacation :)

A really lovely, clean and spacious apartment in a superb location looking directly out onto the Shannon. A nice quiet spot with Glancy's Bar close by and the rest of Carrick just a short walk over the bridge. The apartment is immaculate and very stylish and Susan left us with fresh milk, orange juice, chocolate, tea, coffee, etc. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and plenty of storage space. Contact with Susan was great, initially using Airbnb messaging and then by phone and whats-app. She also left us a list of pubs, restaurants and things to do. We thought the cost was quite high but it's not bad when split between the 5 of us and it's on a par with whatever else is available in Carrick - and we were lucky to get it because there wasn't that much available - Carrick is a very popular place! Overall we had a fantastic stay, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Susan and would look forward to staying again if we return.

We had a great weekend in Carrick on Shannon. Chris' place was bright, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Hope to go back sometime for a weekend break.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay – it was truly a welcoming experience! The location of the house is ideal for visiting all the main attractions in Sligo and is very well connected to the city. Anne was incredibly responsive and extremely helpful throughout our stay – she helped us a lot in exploring Sligo and making the most of our trip. What made the stay even more special was the warm hospitality from the hosts, along with the lovely company of Will (dog) and Lexie (Cat). We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thanks again for such a pleasant stay!

Loretta’s guesthouse is very high level quality for Airbnb. I have stayed in many Airbnbs but none were anywhere near as good as this one. It is absolutely beautiful and the photos don’t do it enough justice. It is extremely clean, practical and beautiful. Loretto is an extremely welcoming host. What a pleasure to have met her. I can understand the previous reviews where someone said she didn’t want to leave. The bed is very comfy and made up with exquisite linen. The sitting/sun room looks out onto the well kept garden. A pure slice of heaven. We HIGHLY recommend it. 🌸🌼

Apartment was great ,spacious clean and tidy . The location was great with a lovely bakery close by. Paul was very quick to respond to messages and was very helpful.

The place was spotlessly clean – really well maintained to the smallest detail. The entire property is also in excellent condition and lovingly landscaped. Keith is a very likeable host who welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips for the area. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime.
