Floating Lodge off Bligh Island (Nootka Sound)

If only the fishing had been a little better we could have spent more time at the cabin. Overall it was an awesome place to spend time, cook, talk and hangout with my Dad, Brother and Son for a week. Hope to do it again next year!

We had the best time at Ramy’s place! She is an incredible host with wonderful energy. This little slice of heaven is absolutely worth the visit. Bring cash for the boat ride and the farm stands! We will be visiting again!

Charming Tiny House on Private 5 Acres

ElizabethRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This was a very peaceful, restorative stay. Lots of time spent on the porch listening to birds and watching deer. The living area is very comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked with pans and utensils and the bath was light and clean. The propane stove was easy to use and kept it warm and cozy. Corinne communicated well and the description of the house was perfect. One thing people should know - the stairs up to the sleeping loft are narrow and I found them tricky to navigate at night. Sleeping upstairs would not work for anyone with mobility issues. That said, there is a comfy pull-out couch downstairs.

Herron Island Maple Grove Retreat-Dog Friendly

TrinaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Diane’s retreat. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was clean. The cozy kitchen is well-stocked with spices but has minimal utensils, so consider bringing a spatula. The washer and dryer were a great convenience. Both nearby beaches are about a half-mile walk, with North Beach being family-friendly, while South Beach offers a more adventurous hike with great low tide exploration. The ferry adds extra time to the trip, but with only 10-12 vehicles per crossing, there’s some flexibility. Overall, a fantastic getaway—we’d love to return!

Jeri’s place was such a lovely retreat! My grandson and I had fun visiting the chickens and hanging with the dogs. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfy and the hosts supplied some lovely teas and coffee in the kitchenette. We would definitely return!

Wild Horse Island!

DianeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The location of this off-grid cabin (with electricity and running water) can’t be beat. Beautiful private pebble beach overlooking crystal clear water. Our family group had 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. The space worked well for us (kids and their kids in the loft, us in the main floor bedroom) but might not have enough privacy for other groups. (You can hear everything inside.) Great communication with host Jordan and co-host Tyler. Cell service is good (for better or worse). We didn’t want for anything while there but might have needed a cooler to store food if we’d stayed longer than 3 nights (fridge is on the small side), and we wished we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. Be prepared to unload at the dock, anchor at a buoy offshore and then kayak, pedal boat, or swim to shore (pedal boat and kayaks provided). This was our first time on Flathead Lake and it was an amazing way to experience it. We absolutely would stay here again.

Powell River, Powell Lake, Paradise Point

Rae EllenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Shoot. Only a thousand words allowed to describe Paradise Point? Let’s put it this way— our week on Powell Lake was so unforgettable we’ve already booked in for next year. The photos don’t do it justice— you really have to see/experience it to believe it. The cottage itself is sweet and rustic, with super comfy beds, and the location and views are indescribable. My husband and I went for a quiet retreat, just the two of us, but the cottage/property would no doubt be fantastic for a group. We swam every day, made pals with the ravens and chipmunks, lay out under the stars every night… bliss. And Dylan! Dylan was lovely to communicate with— prompt, clear, kind— and took care of all our needs. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

The Wolf Den - Jordan River - Walk to Beach.

SeikoRating, 5 stars33 months ago
We had a great stay at Wolf Den. The house is beautiful with high ceilings, huge windows, and lots of sunlight, surrounded by forest. The starry sky was amazing. I wish we’d had time to enjoy the outdoor sauna. The downstairs bedroom was very cool on a hot day. Loved the firm mattress, duvet cover, and pillows. Checking in and out was a breeze. Everything was well labeled. It was convenient to have the wine cooler. We very much appreciated environmentally conscious soaps and detergent. In particular, I loved the dish soap. Truly a unique gem.
A wooden interior features expansive windows overlooking the water, with soft natural light illuminating the space. A cozy rug lies on the floor, while a small television and fan are positioned nearby. The serene view offers a connection to the outdoors.

Doe Island South

MimiRating, 5 stars32 months ago
We stayed on Doe Island for roughly 5 weeks, and had a wonderful time watching seals, porpoises, herons, stunning sunsets and beautiful starry nights. The cabin is definitely rustic, working off of water cisterns, a composting toilet, and solar/generator powered, but we were comfortable managing these. Steve was incredibly helpful and made sure we were comfortable, bringing over more water when needed and troubleshooting when we accidentally blew a fuse. The high speed internet made it possible for my daughter to work from there with a beautiful "office" view, seeing our resident seal visit every day! The provided kayaks made it easy to toodle around the harbour, and the crab pots - thrown right off the dock - provided some great meals. Steve helped out with our arrival and departure. It is also obvious that the host is in progress of upgrading areas of the island, so some spots look more in-progress than polished. Overall, the spot is absolutely gorgeous, the host is super helpful and hospitable, but it is definitely not a hotel -- you'll need to be aware of water and power consumption, and it is fairly isolated. Having your own boat to get around is recommended if you're there for an extended stay. (You can try checking with area marinas or other nearby places to park your car.) We'll definitely be going back!

Spectacular Oceanfront B&B-Islets Suite

RyanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My wife and I booked 2 nights away for our anniversary and let me tell you, the Pointhouse Bed and Breakfast did not disappoint. Heather and Bob were extremely friendly, responsive, and made us feel right at home. Heather created 2 delightful, creative breakfasts which were absolutely delish! We splurged a bit booked a private chef for the Saturday night. Executive Chef Amanda plated an incredible 5 course meal which consisted of nothing but local ingredients so I highly recommend this option! The hot tub was quality and could be enjoyed at anytime as well. The location and view left us speechless. Try and make it there before dark as it can be a bit tricky finding at night :) Thanks Heather and Bob for an amazing experience. We WILL be back !! Peace, Ryan

Rustic Mudge Island Retreat

PhoebeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
From start to finish (both via Allen's boat!) this was an extremely memorable, peaceful stay. Allen is a terrific host who made us feel at home and cared for while providing us with lots of space of our own. Mudge Island is a treasure and the space where you'll stay is incredibly comfortable with a beautiful deck and an extremely cozy bed! I cannot recommend this place enough - no doubt this the best kept secret of the Gulf Islands.
