We will also showcase a couple of our favourite places in between stops From mid June to mid October you will stop at the spectacular and must see Moraine Lake! This is my favourite summer lake in all of the parks, you'll feel as if you are seeing heaven on earth as we drive through the Valley of the Ten Peaks! This experience is about wowing you all day! We'll adapt your day according to wildlife sightings, weather conditions, and traffic flow for better enjoyment. Our small groups are up to 10 guests and your day will last 10 to 12 hours depending on the season. Your adventure will start from the moment we pick you up in Downtown Calgary or Canmore, until we drop you off again at the end of the day! The 2,000 year old tradition has a rich history of health benefits like improving digestion, boosting energy and helping your immune system. The probiotic nature of kombucha means it is full of beneficial bacteria that are good for your gut, body and mind. Kombucha is made from sweetened tea that's been fermented by a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (a.k.a SCOBY). All attendees will receive a Kombucha Starter Kit including: a brewing vessel, SCOBY, starter liquid, cloth cover, and illustrated instructions. During the workshop attendees will make their first batch of kombucha. I will cover the history of kombucha, health benefits and how to do it at home safely. First you’ll buckle up—we’ll pick you up in a UTV and start the adventure well before you canyoneer through the canyons. Then you’ll buckle in—once we arrive on the east side of Zion, you’ll learn how to safely rappel these secret slots with a licensed team of guides there to hold your rope (and your hand). With private access to the slots, you’ll get to hike, canyoneer, and rappel the world in between. Bring your camera so you can capture all your Indiana Jones-style adventure. For an additional cost of $25 per person I will fire your projects in my kiln and you can choose a glaze color for your finished pieces. We’ll introduce you to the process and materials that comprise fragrance creation. We'll spend about half the workshop smelling our way through a selection of over 45 raw ingredients, while discussing fragrance and blending techniques. You'll spend the remainder of the workshop developing and blending your own fragrance, with tips and pointers along the way. After this, you'll turn your fragrance into a 10mL oil-based roll-on personal fragrance. You’ll take home your very own scent creation compounded and mixed into a 10mL roll-on bottle of perfume. Other things to note: Avoid wearing strong fragrances to this workshop as it may disrupt yours' and others' olfactory experience.

We will teach you how to milk a cow. *At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready. *We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with. *Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up. *Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount. *Congrats! You will have milked a cow!

While visiting the artist's studio, you learn the process of blowing glass, and basic glassblowing techniques including taking a gather, marvering, blow'n-cap, and shaping glass. The workshop is very hands-on, focused on the process instead of the final product. With experienced glass artists, you make 2 to 3 small objects such as a paperweight, ornament/float, and/or drinking glass, to take home. Glassblowing is a team work. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, you may still book a spot. However, the single booker should expect to finish earlier. Best to wear a cotton top and cotton pants. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please bring a pair of sunglasses with you. Be prepared to be hot and sweaty, and to have fun! BYOB if you like. We'll begin with an in-depth tour of our Past Worlds gallery and end with a behind-the-scenes visit inside our Paleo Lab. In the gallery, we will talk about dinosaurs found in Utah (some known exclusively from our own collections) and explore the ecosystems and adaptations that make these animals so fascinating. Inside the Paleo Lab, we will get a sneak peek at the projects that our paleontology volunteers are working on and learn about the techniques used to prepare our most recent discoveries. The tour is for adults and teens 13 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum number of participants is 10. Admission is complementary with purchase of the experience. Admission fees cannot be deducted from the package price. Tour length is approximately 2 hours or so, depending on group discussions. Face masks are optional and not required.

Do something incredibly unique, climb huge trees 100-200 ft tall, including some rare old-growth trees. Explore and learn about unique ecosystem and wildlife of trees. Once you reach the top of the canopy, enjoy an incredible view of ocean, mountains, and wildlife including bald eagles. Great for groups, teams, and team-building too! A fly rod is built in the same way that bamboo grows. From the bottom, or butt, to the tip. You will remove a node from a 12' culm of Tonkin bamboo, using a small hack saw, as the first step in seeing how a custom 8' node-less fly rod is made. Then you will split one of 72 splints needed to form the tip or butt of the rod with a hammer and knife. You will scarf one splint to shape it for gluing. Fancy planing, shaping the cork handle, and silk wrapping will be demonstrated along with the final varnish dip. At the end of the class you are invited to cast a variety of rods that I have made with a casting lesson on the "green river" of my lawn. In 2 hours you will see how the rod is made but you will not build a completed rod -- my first rod took me 100 hours. Other things to note Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If you have a favorite fly reel that you want to try on a finished rod bring it along.

We will be making a jam, chutney and pickle using seasonal ingredients. We will start the class by cleaning and chopping all fruits ,vegetable and herbs. Then we will make our pickling brine and measure out all the ingredients according to the recipes. We will then wash and sterilize all the jar. then we will prepare the jam, chutney and pickles. To finish pack and process the jars. I will prepare a lite lunch and everyone will go home with a jar of jam, chutney and pickles.

If you don't care for large tour buses then our private tour might be just for you. We will pick you up from your lodging in the McMinnville area so that you don't have to drink and drive at all. You will be transported in our Subaru Ascent sedan( seats, seven people comfortably) to three wineries. (We may be able to pick up from th other areas by special request prior to booking! If you would like to take advantage of this please reach out to us BEFORE booking. At least 2 DAYS ADVANCED Booking required to secure tasting reservations. We will host you for about 45 - 60 minutes in each winery and during the course of the guided tour taste in the region of 15-18 wines. In most of the vineyards, we will visit we know the staff and they know us and we will ensure you are well taken care of. During the tour, we will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the finest rural scenery of the North end of the Willamette Valley. We will return to your pick-up location approximately 4.5 hours from when we picked you up. The maximum group size is 4 (as one group) You won't feel as if you are part of a huge tour bus but rather a personal bespoke adventure. Other things to note. The vineyards will charge a per person tasting fee, usually $20-$30. In the late '60s The Devil's Brigade was filmed up at Movie Rocks. My father was an extra in the film. It is a beautiful lookout point that depicted the Swiss Alps in the film. It is a fun hike that can be challenging, but worth it. The wildlife and shrubbery along with the energy and peace of the rocks makes for a magical experience. We typically do a meditation at the top.

Fun for all ages! We’ll start out talking about alpacas, including how to approach and interact with them. Then we will move to the yard and introduce our four alpacas! We’ll explain what makes alpacas unique, and what they like and dislike. We will also share and clear up myths and misconceptions about them. Guests will have the opportunity to pet and feed the alpacas, take one for a walk around the yard, and take lots of pictures. Come with all of your alpaca questions! Next we will move on to the chicken habitat and everyone will have the opportunity to observe, pet, and feed them. Please feel free to take lots of pictures! Questions and pictures are encouraged!
